I couldn't tell you the last time I came to Chuck E Cheese and boy was it different. I knew they got rid of the stage where Chuck E and his friends played in a bad but now they have LED projector screens everywhere playing music videos and things. While we were there for about 5 hours, the Chuck costume only came out once and we were lucky enough to already be near his entrance area. The play area was fun for my toddler - I thought he'd get tired after doing all the rides in the first hour, but he proved me wrong and continued to be interested in the space. We paid the additional fee to have access to the obstacle course and trampoline areas so he had fun running in and out of those attractions in between playing games. His favorite activity was definitely the trampoline. We ordered a pizza while we were there and it was pretty flavorful we ate the whole thing between the two of us as it was a small (not personal, but small). With the additional fees and food I ended up spending about $75 here which I didn't expect it to be so much, but my kid had fun and it was a good time. We will definitely come back. I think they have a deal (maybe only for summer) to get a season pass and you get either unlimited play tokens for an hour or something similar and maybe one food item (don't quote me on that) but if you did their deal that might be a good bargain.

    Favorite ride.

The food was great service was wonderful. Jocelyn was very helpful during our first visit taking our Grandson. She answered all of my questions and helped me through the process of getting socks and directing me around. She is a great help. The atmosphere is great. We will be back!! Thank you Joceyln for all your help.

Came here for my grandsons 4th birthday. Sadly, we will not be returning to this Chuck E location (Yorba Linda). I am disappointed with the employees and management. As we were eating, a young kid got sick in the dining area. We all felt bad for the mom and the kid of course. Staff were standing around looking at the mom without bothering to ask if she/they needed help. Although my husband initially got up to help, there wasn't much he could do as the mom was already walking her child to the restroom. The workers didn't bother to clean the area. Instead, the mom returned and began cleaning up the area herself, while her child maybe 10yr. old remained in the restroom. Employees failed to step in and clean it up so she could attend to her child. They were huddled up, watching her and walking around with a bag and a cloth but failed to assist. While the mom was cleaning up, employees all disappeared leaving the front entrance/exit area unattended as well as the front desk. Meanwhile, employees would randomly appear to serve themselves plates at the salad bar and management appeared to be leaving for the night without initially approaching the mom. A manager on her way out appeared to be telling the employees what to do to "sanitize" the area. The manager briefly approached the mom on her way out. Two employees came out to "attempt to clean" the area but failed to do so. They sprayed the area with a solution and walked away. Then proceeded to leave the bottle on the counter within reach of children; it stayed there until we left. Needless to say, employees need to be adequately trained for situations like this. It's a kids place and vomit, accidents are bound to happen. Although the mom was being nice and respectful by cleaning up, management or employees should've offered to help. Rant over! As for the food, we ordered pizza, salad bar and an appetizer samplerit was "ok" the salad was the highlight and clearly by the way the employees were serving themselves, they thought so too.

They say this is the best CEC. I wouldnt know but little Nora explained it was alot bigger and more games. All the kids seemed to be in good behavior. After 12 it gets crazy in here lol Chuck e could have been a little better imo but this party is with 5yos so it doesnt matter much i guess.

Huge screen added to the wall in the party corner.

Well it's finally happened; the stage is entirely gone now. My favorite part of Chuck E Cheese is gone, and my kid is sad about it too. Several of the games weren't working. We "paid" for one game (the Milk Jugs game) and it started counting down how many balls were left in play but it never dispensed any so we didn't get to play our 2nd round. It worked the first try then the 2nd it didn't work. Bummer. Pizza was hot and fresh as usual. Staff was friendly enough but they seemed overloaded probably because of parties. We bought a personal size pizza, 30 play credits, and a Chuck E kids cup and spent $40, which is a bit steep. Removed one star from my previous review for the stage being gone. Now it's just large white walls with character panels and a big screen that plays videos. It's lost its charm. We used to make a special trip all the way to this location because of the animatronics! Now that they are gone we will have to stick to a local location.

The cuts of the veggies like black olives or mushrooms were not small and did not disappoint. They do not skimp on the cheese, there was lots of it that gave you the "cheese pull." They have a huge location with a large parking lot, however note that this does fill up. Especially during weekends, big games, etc. We came on a Sunday during a game AND movie night, but were able to secure a place to park with some patience. Again, the place is huge. They had two bars open AND a booth outside selling canned drinks. There is lots of seating inside and outside. It was honestly hard for me to wrap my head around the size of the place! I also liked that they had multiple restrooms around the building. They have a very impressive beer and seltzer collection. You can get various sizes or a whole pitcher for the table. You do order food outside separately at the X Eats area. This is a food truck setup, but they did have an impressive amount of options. Food took a little while (understandable given the volume of people there), but it came out hot and fresh. The pizza had a nice flavor that featured jalapeño and pineapple. They also had a featured dessert that was a banana egg roll with ice cream and a wonderful ube syrup. Overall, I had a great time and would love to come back again!

This is my new go to place for pizza and I've been telling my fellow foodies in the area about it…read more Let me preface this review by saying that I'm usually a Pizza Hut customer and had been pretty happy with my local location, great pizza, frequent discounts and friendly service. I came across Pizza Guys, because my child's school was running a fundraiser here, so I didn't have high expectations, I mean, it's a fundraiser after all... Wow was I in for a surprise! There are 3 reasons why I would give a restaurant my business, all 3 reasons being equally important. One, it has to be yummy. The pizza here was surprisingly yummy and they didn't skimp on the toppings! Two, the price has to be right. The prices were reasonable and when they run a sale, I am getting excellent value for my money. Three, it should have decent service at a minimum. This is where it blew me away! The service here was not only excellent, it was the kind that retains customers and loyalty. In fact, I will buy from this location regardless of whether there was an active sale at the time and even if the location is out of my way. The people at the Katella location are usually friendly and nice. However, the dynamic duo that has earned my loyalty to this location are Bruno and Josh. Long story short, my kids like their pizza square cut, but at some point, the app ordering system was changed so that I can no longer choose that option and it's too much hassle to call in every time, so I went several orders/months with the typical cut/slice. When I went in last night for my app placed pizza, I was happy to see that Bruno and Josh were behind the counter, since I hadn't seen them in a long time (I've been visiting on their off days), but what surprised me was that Bruno actually remembered that I prefer my pizza square cut and Josh had the pizza/toppings just the way my kids like it. The guys did that for me, without my asking! Wow!!! I can't believe that Bruno actually remembered my preference after all this time!!! As busy and lazy as I am, I feel compelled to write this review, because what they did was above and beyond expectations. Bruno and Josh are young men, I have no doubt that if/when they outgrow this location, just the attitude and attention to detail alone, both essential entrepreneur mindsets, will get them far in life. I wouldn't be surprised if they have their own franchised Pizza Guys locations later and I'd be one of the first customers to visit and say, I told you so! ;)

My friend heard about this place on one of the OC Facebook Buzz accounts and wanted to check it out. Let's just say our visit today was far from Buzz-worthy. While the interior arrangement looked cozy/homey, once we sat down there wasn't any cozy to be felt. The dining room was cold and the jazz music playing was turned up to more than background sounding. There seemed to only be one woman working and she wasn't very welcoming. My friend arrived at 11AM when they opened. (I was running late as usual ). Knowing that a pizza would take a little longer to prepare and bake, she decided to place the order right away. The woman working told her they don't start pizzas before 11:30. If your restaurant opens at 11, why choose to delay pizza baking??? Since we had to wait for the pizza to cook AND the restaurant was cold, we decided to order their minestrone soup to start with and hopefully help warm us up. The soup did come up quickly. It wasn't like any minestrone soup I'd ever had. Theirs had no pasta, no beans, and lacked seasoning. At least it warmed us up while we waited for the pizza. Side note on beverages. If you're a Coke fan like I am, prepare for disappointment. Generally when only Pepsi is offered I opt for unsweetened iced tea. Although fresh brewed iced tea is on the menu, they no longer serve it. Tap water it is then. Finally, the pizza arrived at our table. We chose the Hawaiian (pineapple on pizza haters, please don't judge). They were very generous with the cheese. The ham and pineapple, however, were very sparse. There wasn't any real flavor that stood out, just copious amounts of cheese. The sauce didn't even give it a flavor boost. The crust was nothing special either. Even after adding chili flakes and parm, the flavor was still underwhelming. I even tried adding the table pepper to it to see if it would help ~ it did not. After paying the bill we never saw the server again. No "thanks for coming, I hope you enjoyed your meal", nothing. All things considered, there are plenty of other pizza/Italian places in the area that have better food and have workers who actually appreciate our business. We most likely not be coming back.

Horrible experience and extremely poor customer service…read more On Father's Day, my husband wanted to try this restaurant for the first time. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst dining experiences we've had. We were seated on the patio and waited for 15 minutes without a single employee approaching our table. Not one server, host, or staff member stopped by to acknowledge us, offer water, or even let us know someone would be with us shortly. We actually timed it from the moment we sat down until the moment we left. What made the situation even more frustrating was that we were seated in the middle of the patio in plain sight. We watched multiple servers and staff members standing around the service station, chatting, sipping drinks, and looking around. Meanwhile, guests who were seated after us had their orders taken, received water, and were even served appetizers before anyone acknowledged our existence. For a restaurant charging premium prices, this level of service is completely unacceptable. On Father's Day of all days, when families are trying to enjoy a special meal together, the lack of attention and basic hospitality was astonishing. After 15 minutes, with my husband and son both hungry and frustrated, I walked up to what appeared to be the manager or owner and informed her that we were leaving because no one had come to our table. Her response was that she "wasn't aware." Frankly, that's not an acceptable answer. If you're managing or owning a restaurant, knowing whether your guests are being taken care of is part of the job. I have traveled extensively throughout the United States and internationally, dining at everything from small local establishments to high-end restaurants around the world. Out of the countless places I have visited, this experience easily ranks among my top 20 worst restaurant experiences. Not because the food was bad--we never even had the opportunity to order--but because the complete lack of service and awareness was that shocking. To make matters worse, after leaving, we went to North Italia. Within a few minutes of being seated, a server greeted us, acknowledged the Father's Day rush, offered us bread, and genuinely seemed concerned when we explained what had just happened. That simple act of hospitality immediately changed the tone of our afternoon. That is how a restaurant should be operated. That is what good management, training, and customer service look like. You make guests feel welcome, valued, and taken care of--even on one of the busiest dining days of the year. This restaurant, unfortunately, did the exact opposite. We left disappointed, hungry, and genuinely stunned by how poorly the situation was handled. Will we return? Absolutely not. There are far too many restaurants that appreciate their customers and understand the basics of hospitality for us to ever give this place another chance.
