Arranged a play date here for our 4-year olds and they had a great time. The play facility is very clean and organized. Our girls especially enjoyed the playground and costume/dress up area. They had unique toys and sensory activities that I have not seen at other play areas. They even had interactive story time! After the girls were settled, the mom friends stepped into the café, had quality conversations that we usually never get at play dates while enjoying coffee from Moongoat Roasters. This was definitely a highlight for us! We also got 10% off our coffees. Make sure you arrive early to your reservation and make time for parking and finding the location. We arrived 10 minutes late and by the time we checked in and took off our shoes we had an hour and forty minutes left. They are strict and make sure everyone leaves at their assigned time. While we enjoyed our time, $30 a child for two hours is not in my budget. So unfortunately, we won't be coming often. But enjoy the experience and grab a cup of coffee while your kids have fun!

Pretty pricey for how small the play area is. I had a 3 year old and a 15 month old - both were entertained and happy for the entire 2 hour session; but there was definitely more for my 15 month old rather than for my older child. Safe environment and lots of interactive play areas. Unfortunately the Coffee is from MOONGOAT COFFEE ROASTERS (a place that I am not a big fan of... super bitter coffee)... otherwise I would've purchased a latte ),: Overall, a good spot for indoor play and we would come again but not often because of the pricing and lack of more play space.

This review is for a private birthday event we hosted for my daughter and niece, and I truly cannot say enough good things about Check N Play. From start to finish, this was the most stress-free birthday party experience I've ever hosted. All I had to do was send one inspiration photo and a color palette, and everything came to life exactly how I envisioned it, without any back-and-forth at all (which says a lot, because I'm VERY picky when it comes to design). I'll admit, I was a little nervous at first about the lack of back-and-forth. As a Korean mom who's used to working with Korean event stylists where we collaborate on designs for months, I wasn't sure what the final outcome would be. But wow, my worries disappeared the moment I walked in. The setup was super cute and beautifully done. I especially loved the addition of the balloons on the table with the birthday girls' names on them. The Dot Affair package includes the backdrop, balloon garland, table decor, and even mini party favors for all the kids, which made planning completely hassle-free. Food and drinks aren't included, but that actually gave us flexibility in choosing what we wanted. The staff even met us at the loading dock with carts to help transport everything, which was incredibly helpful. The play area was clean, well organized, and the kids had an absolute blast. There were a handful of play attendants (surprisingly more than I expected) engaging with the children, and each one of them was so kind and attentive. I was initially concerned the play area might be too small, but it was actually perfect for our private party (around 30 adults and 25 kids). It felt like a room full of love, and all of our guests, both adults and kid, had an amazing time. Last but not least, the birthday girls even received a small gift from Steffanie, the owner, which was a cute picture book she wrote herself. Thought this was pretty cool. Overall, I am beyond satisfied. This was not only a fun and memorable celebration, but also beautifully styled and completely stress-free. I would highly recommend Check N Play for anyone looking to host an elevated, seamless birthday party. Thank you everyone! :)

This matcha completely reset my expectations. It somehow goes beyond ceremonial grade--silky smooth, zero bitterness, and incredibly balanced. The color alone tells you everything: vibrant, luminous green, the kind you rarely see unless it's truly high quality. Clean, rich flavor with a soft umami finish. Thought I knew great matcha... turns out I didn't. Thank you Emilio for the whimsical experience!

It's hard to grab coffee, catch up with friends, or even have a full conversation when you have toddlers with you--but this place makes it possible. It's the perfect spot for friends with little ones to meet up. We were able to relax and talk while enjoying coffee outside at the café. The play area isn't a typical "gym" setup; instead, it features thoughtfully curated STEM-based toys that really engage the kids. There's also a designated art room, which is a great touch. Attendants are present throughout the space keeping an eye on the children. I can also see this being a wonderful venue for birthday parties. While I don't live close by, it's great to have the option to leave your kids to play for an hour while you shop.

Our first visit here and my kids had a blast! You check in and have a 2 hour play period, there are many different activities and different play areas. My 5 year old loved the construction area they have and my 3 year old had a blast in the art room. They have a cafe right outside so you can leave your kids inside with the play staff if you want to take a couple of minutes to get some coffee and a pastry. I had a coffee before our play time began but even after asking to have it remade twice it was not good so next time i'll skip the cafe and just go into the play area.

Love this new indoor play space, which has imaginative play, arts, and a fun slide and climb structure for kids. We visited over my kid's winter break several times and it was a life savior for my 3 year old since it rained nearly everyday. The coffee was also great (a huge plus for tired parents ), and the overall vibe was welcoming and you could really relax in the cafe area. We felt the care attendants were really nice. When my kid was upset at one point, they checked in and asked if she wanted anything (they offered a hot chocolate for her!). One small note: it was a little hard to find at first since it's inside the mall, but once you know where it is, it's totally easy to find. Hint: across from Zara.

The only communication I received was asking where an item I rented (the projector/VIBE) was placed. I told them, they found it, and that was the end of it. Shortly after, Alex (the COO) emailed me stating that my security deposit would be returned by this weekend. It still hasn't been returned. About 4 days after receiving the email from Alex , Chloe texted me asking if I had received my deposit. I told her no and sent her Alex's email confirming the refund. 2.5 weeks after my event, she suddenly claimed that damages were found after my event. This raised immediate red flags. - The venue had cleaners come in right after my event, so they would've notified her of damages just like they did after her other events. So I don't see what's so difficult about showing me the cleaners claimed that the kitchen door was locked. Obviously, it wasn't if she can't provide proof. - Chloe herself said she would come in the following day to confirm the rented equipment was where I stated. So again, why weren't these issues brought up immediately if there was truly damages done to her venue during my event. - I had already contacted her the next day asking about camera footage, and she told me the cameras do not retain footage past a short period Despite all of this, 2.5 weeks after my event, I received this message: "After your event, our cleaning team reported a few issues... 1. The kitchen door was locked and a locksmith was called 2. A crack found on the wall 3. A broken door stopper" When I asked for video footage or proof, none was provided. Instead, I was sent a screen recording of text messages between Chloe and her cleaning staff. Her cleaning staff said these issues occurred at another event the following weekend after my event. Immediately, when I said thats not the date of my event she unsends the screen recorded message between her and her cleaners.... They are now claiming that I locked the kitchen door, requiring a locksmith, yet when I asked for proof, I received no response from Chloe and Alex. As of now, I am still waiting for my deposit. This entire experience feels like an attempt to retroactively justify withholding a deposit. The lack of transparency, delayed claims, and refusal to provide evidence is extremely concerning and unprofessional. If you value clear communication, integrity, and lawful business practices, I would strongly suggest booking elsewhere

It's part of California State University, Fullerton, one of the campuses in the CSU system, known for its strong business and communications programs. The arboretum has been used for education and plant conservation since 1979, and it spans about 26 acres. Even though it's divided into different plant zones, it doesn't feel overly designed. It feels more like everything is growing naturally and you're just walking through it. I wandered through the desert area and woodland sections, passing by all kinds of plants like cacti, fruit trees, flowers, bamboo, and large trees. Some were honestly my first time seeing them, and each area had a slightly different vibe. I kept stopping to take a closer look or look things up. The Heritage House was closed during my visit, but the Rose Garden smelled amazing. There's also a shaded bench area under vine-covered trees in the back, which is a nice spot to sit and take a break. I also noticed a small and cute Native Bee Hotel, which is a thoughtful touch since bees play such an important role in pollination here. What I liked most about this place is the overall atmosphere. Students were casually sitting under trees, reading, or listening to music. I also saw a group doing yoga on the lawn. It just feels like a space where people and nature naturally blend together. Definitely a place I'd come back to for a slow walk. We booked for a wedding on a very short timeline for a smallish group, and top to bottom, we had an amazing experience. They made planning so easy, from our amazing point of contact/coordinator Emily answering every silly question I had, to the digital planning offerings so we could make our own floor plans for the team. The owner Summer was also highly responsive when we needed to touch base. Day of, everything was so streamlined that we hardly had to lift a finger beyond getting our decorations out of the building. The staff was on top of every element and they were all so sweet. On top of that, EVERY SINGLE one of our guests commented on how gorgeous the venue is, with some family members excited to find a place for their own events. We booked a buffet style dinner and added the lighting package, the coordinator upgrade, cake cutting, coffee service, soft drinks, and signature cocktails for a cash bar. First of all, the food is phenomenal. It's easy to dismiss any sort of banquet service, especially a buffet style, as something somewhat less than a gourmet meal, but not here. Not by a long shot. EVERYTHING is good, from the meats and sides down to the bread (at one point in the evening one of our guests had a plate of about 10 rolls, which was completely understandable.) My husband is a snob about meat, especially steak, and basically cried at our tasting with how incredible it was. We got great feedback from our guests both the day of and afterward about how great the meal was. The other really standout add on was the cocktails. It's another thing that every single guest (who imbibed) commented on, telling us not just how good they were but also how they loved trying "the groom" vs "the bride" drinks. The Charleston takes its alcohol seriously as a craft, with these drinks being the most truly *crafted* cocktails I've had in a while. It added an amazing element for our guests that they really noticed. From the "executing our vision" end of planning, the coordinator upgrade was *invaluable.* Emily handled all of our decor setup and strike, including packing things. I overplanned tablescapes, decor, and timelines, which made her job easy, but she's such a pro that she's usually the one to handle such things. (As an aside, she took my concept and ran with it in ways I didn't think of, and I was so thrilled with her execution. Emily, I adore you and your creative brilliance.) The other item we are so glad we added for our vision of the day was the lighting package. It was the thing that took a gorgeous ballroom reception into what felt like a bespoke event, from our spotlighted entrance to the lighting on the floor for our first dance. There IS an add on package that covered both of these line items and more, but because we wanted to choose some of our own vendors, we opted for only the individual items. I love who we hired, but for simplicity's sake, the larger package would probably be much easier for a couple looking for a "set it and forget it" style of wedding planning. We loved our experience with The Charleston and I'd book our special day there a million times over. The building is gorgeous and with a rich history, but beyond that, it's so welcoming--not just the people but the vibe there. For us, there was never any other venue for our wedding than The Charleston, and I'll tell everyone who will listen how much we loved it. We got away with less extra decor. The main area for cocktail hour was cozy but not too small for our guest count of about 150 people. The venue had many chairs and leather sofas across 2 bars which allowed our guests to chat and lounge comfortably. There were TV screens that we used to project a picture slideshow, adding a personal touch. The spacious ceremony room on the top floor was full of natural lighting and elegant, and the ballroom for our reception was grand and accommodated dining and dancing. The Charleston also had a very large and comfortable bridal suite that we were able to get hair and makeup done in and use as storage the day-of. We received many compliments on the choice of venue from our guests. Most importantly, the staff at The Charleston were a pleasure to work with, and we were so happy to go with a local business. The owner, Summer, was very transparent with their pricing, and she always considered our special requests and worked with us to see what we could make happen. We had an outside vendor for catering, and they were able to tour the space months ahead of the wedding. On the day-of, they were able to use the facilities at The Charleston without issue. We primarily were in contact with Emily, and we also had her as our day-of coordinator. She answered our questions promptly and thoroughly, and she was easy to work with. Especially as we approached our big day, it was nerve-wracking to hand over the reins to Emily and our other vendors, but Emily collaborated with our vendors well, and she created a seamless day-of plan. On the wedding day, Emily took care of all the set-up of wedding activities and decor, checked in with the vendors, and actively assisted the bridal and groom's parties with everything we needed while getting ready at the venue. She really went above and beyond; we highly recommend her day-of coordinator services. We are so happy to have held our special day at The Charleston.
