So this is the third time we have come here. Before it was our sons Bday, which they screwed up. Then last time, based on the last review was not good eithet. Now today.. Walked in, still had that musty and dirty smell. Went to the counter and the lady was just standing there. Didn't say anything, didn't acknowledge us, just stood there. We placed our order, which took 30 minutes to get a single topping pizza. The first two games, our son lost points on the card and the game was not playing. Went up to the counter with the same lady that took our pizza order to let her know about the games and she really did not say anything. Went to another lady and she apologized and said there wasn't anyone working on the floor. Did not even ask for a manager. At the end my son had points to turn in for prizes and nobody was at the prize counter. Same thing happened last time we were there. After one point there were 4 employees at the main counter and not one person looked over at the now 10 people waiting. My wife went and told the manager it's been about 10 minutes and nobody is helping the people at the prize counter. After delivering pizza, he finally came over along with the lady that doesn't talk much. The lady stood behind the prize counter in front of someone else who was there after us. Didn't ask who was next just stood there. We had to initiate things and say we were next. This was absolutely our worst experience with customer service. The lady at the counter should be let go as she obviously has no customer service experience and her attitude indicates she does not want to be there. They all had radios on them but none of them were calling anyone to assist in other areas. We would not recommend this place anymore to anyone. read more

So i understand this is a children/ family friendly place but there shouldn't be a reason to discriminate a group of teenagers. My boyfriend his sister and i thought we would have a great day get some pizza and play a few games since we didn't want to waste so much money at another arcade place. As soon as we walk in the person who stamps looks at us in a very rude way and doesn't say anything. So i proceed to tell her "hi there's 3 of us." I've not had a bad experience here yet. I've found the staff pretty friendly (and generous at the prize counter). I guess my complaint is the games. Once they added the card reader instead of tokens, the games are no longer 1 token each, some are now 2 credits. I'm also questioning their decision to get rid of the jungle gym... the games area seems so sparse now. Not much worth coming back for. I went here with my family on a busy Saturday afternoon. This place needs improvement. Three of the game machines were not functioning. The Chuck E Cheese of today is definitely not the same one I grew up with thirty years ago. Walking into this place on a Saturday afternoon I couldn't help but notice the most putrid B.O. odor making the place seem like it hadn't been cleaned in years. I've smelled gym locker rooms that smelled better than this place. There is really nothing to like about this place. None of their equipment is well maintained and kids run around and play games trying to win tickets for crappy prizes that make toys at the dollar store seem luxurious. This place is nothing more than a pathetic flithy money pit training little kiddos to gamble at a young age. Avoid at all costs and go somewhere cleaner like Superfranks in Pleasanton. I hope Chuck E Cheese goes out of business and is replaced by something better for kids and parents someday. read more

In the past I've had a great experience at this location. Which is why I chose to celebrate my sons 1st birthday there this past Saturday. However, this was the worst experience for me and my family. I don't know if they are under knew management or had all brand new employees because I did not receive the same customer service that I had in the past. When I first came (20 minutes early to have everything set up before my guests arrived), it was already chaotic. The lady at the front was scrambling through the stickers trying to find mine and my sons name tags for the party. We were supposed to be greeted by our party planner and escorted to our table so get everything started. No one came up to us and I had to ask who our party planner was. None of the employees knew which party they were in charge of and we were delayed just to be brought to our table. When we were finally seated, one of the managers greeted us and we were introduced to our party planner. I thought things would start turning around and that my experience would be better at that point. I was sadly mistaken. After selecting my menu options my party planner asked "you know how everything works right?" When I responded with yes (since I had planned my oldest sons 2nd birthday there the previous year), all he said was "okay" and walked away. Seriously? He should have still walked me through the plans of the party. After that, my party planner, Matt, was missing half of the party. The food for my guests came late and I had to continue hunting him down to request for the food. On top of that, when it was time to sing happy birthday, I was not even given an advance notice so I could gather my guests and prepare my son. Matt just placed the cake on the table and stood in the front waiting for the happy birthday song to play. One of my guests pointed out saying "are they going to sing happy birthday?" So I walked up to him and had to ask and Matt said "yeah". One minute later I heard the happy birthday song playing on the speakers and just had to sing along, with half of my guests not even aware that we were singing happy birthday. I couldn't believe it. During the chuck e cheese greeting, I requested for more pizza and salad plates for my guests and Matt said he would put in the order after chuck e cheese greeted the kids (understandable). However, 20 minutes after the meet and greet with chuck e cheese, the pizza had still not come to our table. I asked my sister to look for Matt so I could apologize to our guests for the delay. I was shocked when my sister told me she found Matt, but he was too busy taking pictures - selfies to be more specific. Then I found him doing some type of camera interview and joking around with his coworkers versus attending to our party and making sure we had everything we needed. The rest of the party planners were also sitting in the front, discussing getting new jobs at The Habit while also taking selfies instead of attending to their guests. When Matt finally came around to our table I asked about the pizza I asked for 20 minutes ago. His response was "Oh yeah, what did you order again?" He hadn't even placed the order yet! I was furious inside but held my composure for my guests. When the pizza finally came I noticed that it was going away quick so I asked for two more and his response was "Okay, but will you be ready to close out your orders after this?" I couldn't believe how rude he was being throughout the entire party (for the few moments that I saw him at least). Even my guests complained to me that he was being very rude to them when he served them the pizza. After all was said and done and they started cleaning up our party to prepare for the next one, Matt came up to me and asked me if I wanted to do the ticket blaster (which comes with the party package). I was so busy hunting him down the entire party, I hadn't even realized that we didn't get to do the ticket blaster & he asks me AFTER the party is already over? We never ended up being able to do the ticket blaster. After I received the bill I asked to speak to his manager. I was expressing my concern and she compensated me $20 off of the final bill. At the time I was okay because she was doing something to try and make up for it, but after coming home and thinking about it, compensating me $20 for a horrendous experience for my sons 1st birthday is like a slap in the face. I will never return to this chuck e cheese and have already recommended that my friends and family do the same. read more

Want to throw a children's birthday party? Well, don't do it here! For starters, 12 children will run you about $400.00, and you have a 2 hour window. So we arrive feeling pretty good, happy as can be. Everything went well, up until we reached the dude stamping us in. He couldn't be bothered to say hi, but that's Ok, he is a teen. So we walk over to the birthday seating area is, and we had to figure out where to sit because they didn't have it organized yet. 30 minutes went by (remember 2 hour window) and we had to track down "Tony" the Manager who took our order. About 45 minutes into the ordeal (and asking for our beverages several times) they finally bring us drinks and our video game passes - bring your water bottles! Around an hour later our 5 pizzas finally reach us, cold off the grill. Since our group reached 30 people, We put in another cold pizza order, but that order never reached us. We confirmed our pizza order, but no luck. Long story short, the majority of our group had to go out to eat after they were suppose to eat at Chucky Cheese. This in addition to all the chaos. Not worth it. I'll never again throw a party here and I have 10 kids! And I'll make sure their kids never throw a party here, in addition to my kids friends and their kids. I arranged my kid's birthday party last weekend at CEC Dublin. I am disappointed with the service. It's Saturday, 12:30 PM Slot, all the birthday tables were booked, I understand the rush but I expected them to be better prepared. Adults pizza arrived first while kids were waiting for cheese pizza. Since kids could not wait longer, they all eat adults pizza. They did not serve kids juice as well, I had to run to follow-up and then after sometime they brought juice when kids were half over. Cheese pizza arrived when all the kids were done eating. Adults pizza were quickly out so I ordered two more pizzas for adults. Everyone was waiting for pizza and it took lot of time for one pizza to arrive. Then I was told that it was show time. So everyone jumped into show. One remaining pizza arrived after the show when all the guests were eating the cake. Out of all CEC's this one is the better one. But the place smells bad because of carpets. There is no way to keep the place clean if the food and kids place have carpets. Get rid of the carpets so the floors can be mopped daily. I feel bad , because you loose customers Keep the place clean, renew the games, they stop working constantly. I booked a party for 18.99 a child (10)kids and 20 additional adults. For adults I ordered 3 one topping pizza's. When I arrived the host greeted me told me her name and started to get the ball rolling. She asked what pizzas I wanted which I had said pepperoni and combination. Then another woman comes over with blonde short hair and says the pizzas usually come out at 3:45 so I said that's fine. Well here it is rolling to 4:10. I'm making a fuss because we are expected to leave in 50 minutes and we haven't even ate yet. So the kids pizza which is one pepperoni and one cheese come. So all the kids are eating but no adults and now I'm embarrassed, people are asking what's going on. When your guests have to ask what's up with food, then you know it's serious. So I ask again what's up, I keep getting the same petty excuse the kitchen is backed up. I came at 3 and other people that came after are being served first. So 2 of the three pizzas come and one is veggie, who the hell ordered veggie??? Not me, at this point my guests are hungry and don't care. I'm still looking around for the platter I ordered and the third pizza. It's so annoying to have to focus on everything except my son who's birthday is the reason why we are there. I never ended up getting the third pizza, I had enough at this point I wanted a manager. I explained that 240$ is not feasible for the service I'm receiving. I'm shocked that a well know establishment doesn't have their business together. My sons birthday was ruined in my eyes because I didn't get to enjoy it. The whole purpose of letting someone else handle it was so I didn't, that didn't seem to be the outcome. I was comped for a few things, as I'm reviewing the new bill a guest asks where is the last pizza, they bring it out comped as well. Mind you it's almost 5 now and no cake, presents, ticket blaster, or ticket voucher has been done. The lady seems to think the 1000 ticket voucher isn't in my plan which boils my blood right now looking online and it clearly states it is. However she tried to make it seem like she was doing me a favor giving it to me. Man even the 170$ is to damn much. I think I'll be calling back to really review my options. Be cautious because supposedly this never happens, yet the reviews state otherwise. I ordered a half sheet cake and somehow get two small round cakes. Ugly!! Where is the half sheet I ordered online. The picture doesn't show two cakes. As we are doing presents I'm being asked to leave!! The lady interrupts me as my son is opening his last gifts from his parents and it's special and I'm putting it off to talk about leaving. I had to stop thinking about them and tell her she is being so rude right now and put my attention back on my son. She comes back with 70 tokens which is a lousy gesture to me. I normally don't post any review. Anyways, I think this place is seriously under staff. My daughter and I had to wait for 20 minutes before we can redeem the prize and there was a longer line to order the food/tokens. Finally when someone finally came out to help out, we were not the first one to be taken care. Instead, the comment I got is that, "I will help him first". And I insist that we were here first and waited for 20 mins. And her respond, "I'm not being paid to help here". Well, we are thankful that my daughter had fun, but this experience definitely deter me from coming back to any Chuck E Cheese. I'm sure that staff doesn't have to, since she wasn't paid. But she did it anyway to help. When management takes care of the staff, I'm sure they will be happy with their job. A birthday parties' kids were intimidating other guests and stealing tickets and play passes from other guests. Manager was aware, received multiple complaints from kids and adults, even caught theft on camera, and did not do anything except give back a few tickets. This went on for over two hours. The worst. No ice in one of the machines. One of the sodas was out and was never refilled. We where there for an hour and a half and there were many, many tables that were left dirty without being cleaned the entire time we were there. There was trash all over the floor that was never picked up, and the machine to put tokens on the cards only took my credit card the first time I used it. Fortunately I had some cash or there would have been tears. There was a long line to order food, and then our food (pizza and chicken nuggets) took 45 minutes to prepare, so I had to take the nuggets to go. The nuggets were terrible by the way. The salad bar was super messy and was never cleaned. The only positive was that the pizza was pretty good. read more

The kids (and I) have a new appreciation for the place. The games are updated as well. And it's pretty cheap compared to other arcades. We all had a blast. the awful pizza the even worse service the wild children running around in socks on the dirty floor and the cheapest piece of crap prizes you spend over $20's for your kid to get. every time I'm here, i question rather it's possible for the service to be any worse than what it is and they rise up to my challenge every time by being more unfriendly, inattentive and rude than before. why is there never anyone at the front counter? you wait a good 5 min for someone to help you, even if they see you standing there the first minute. and what ever happened to the word "Thank you!" i am an avid thank youer and have never once had it replied back to me. i was there yesterday and after saying thanks you to the woman who had just charged me $24 for a med. pizza and 2 soda's, she nodes and says NOTHING! i was so closed to saying "and this is when you smile and say thank you". that is just the tip of the ice berg in the rude things that have happened to me. why oh why do i keep coming back? cause my 3 1/2 year old son loves this place. Took my niece here today for the first time and and she had a blast! Nice and quiet on a tuesday afternoon. The place was super clean and the staff was beyond nice. Came about an hour after they opened and wasn't really expecting much since I remember it not being in the best condition when I was younger. I was pleasantly surprised though! Employees were absolutely amazing I cannot rave enough! They continued to try and help us win games and give us opportunities to win more tickets. I'm not sure if he was the manager or not but one of the guys was awesome he surprised my sister with extra tickets on two different occasions. They had nothing but smiles and seeing as me and my fiancé are 21+ and my sister is older elementary it was nice to be treated like a kid for a moment there too! The place is also redone and so much cleaner I give them so many props! The food was yummy and we didn't spend much either. Trying their gluten free pizza was an interesting experience. It is baked and served in a sealed baking bag to avoid cross contamination. The baked bag looked terrible when it arrived to the table. The pizza was fine though. The only downside is that is has regular cheese can it cannot be easily removed. My son does not do cow's milk. So, this offering is not really a help to us. It is nice for those who can tolerate dairy. The cupcake was also served in a sealed container. I think it's nice that Chuck E Cheese is trying to help gluten free kids. Kudos to them! read more

Very bad experience here. I took my nephews here. We usually go to the one in concord, but wanted to change it up a bit. This location is half the size on Concord. We went on a saturday night and there was no where to sit. We all had to sit for a table of 2. Some of the employees were sitting at the tables and I heard people asking there's no where to sit. Some of these yelp reviews are really sad. I go to the Dublin location on weekdays, and sometimes weekends. But weekends are way too crazy, the staff seems overwhelmed.. I can barely stand the place on weekends I don't know how they do it! My weekday experiences are really nice, though, and that's why this place gets 5 stars. I bring my two sons here and they have a blast. The staff is super nice and helpful. Last week when I went, I went to the cashier to get a pizza and tokens. She seemed a little lost, probably new, so someone came out of the kitchen to help her. I don't remember the cashier's name, her name was a little hard to pronounce, and not quite sure what the guys name was, maybe matt or alex something short on the name tag. He let me know that there is actually a coupon I could use for my order on the chuck e cheese's website, and he would go ahead and put in the code for me. saved me a few bucks. I'm sad that they increased the price of tokens though. Chuck e cheese food we all know is so so, but I was surprised how quickly my food came out! The guy at the stamp entrance and the guy who is in charge of games were both really friendly, and checked up on my meal. Them and the guy from the kitchen and a young lady with dark hair were speaking for a while, rather loudly i might add, but when I went to get my drinks at the beverage bar, the lady with dark hair who I think was a manager was really nice as well. My boyfriend decided to throw his sons third birthday party here. I wish I could say it was enjoyable but the service was so lackluster that it almost didn't even seem worth it. We arrived and I was carrying a cake while he was searching for our table or hostess. A passing hostess told me I could give my cake to the front door person but she seemed so confused when I approached her that I just held it until our hostess approached us. Our party was not set up and they told us we would have thirty minutes beforehand to get things together. That didn't go as planned seeing as they didn't have the other party leave until 2:35. Our guest were literally standing around aimlessly waiting for our hostess to set our table up. Gigi our hostess was pulled from our party to man the front door but no one told us anything. Forty minutes into our party and we didn't have pizzas or juice. Our little guest were starving and I had to track another hostess down to see what the hold up was. Her response was "well we have a lot of parties going on", Ma'am I'm sure you knew beforehand that you had all these parties so your manager should have planned accordingly!!! The birthday boy didn't receive his cape and glasses until 15 min before the party ended and Gigi just shoved them in my hands and said "Oh does he still want this?" Good Lord, I almost lost it but remembered that kids were present. He didn't get to do the ticket blaster because our time had ended. Chuckie came and spent 2.5 seconds with every birthday kid, Chuckie actually shoved an kid away by face palming him. I think Management should try hiring people who understand the importance of birthday parties and not teenagers who would rather stand in clusters gossiping instead of doing what they are paid to do. All in All I nor my boyfriend was satisfied with the service however I will say Gigi was pleasant the few times she did come to our table. So if you want a half a** party, by all means please have it here at this Chuckie Cheese! read more
