Fantastic fun activities out here. Good physical learning carried out by a wonderful staff. Dee and the rest of the instructors are great and very engaging at every minute of the class. They ll always ensure that the child is having fun and are open to even repeat the activities if the child wants more. Nicely managed overall. Flexible schedule as well. Would recommend this place for early learning and physical development of the child. read more

My daughter really enjoyed Mr.Dee's class when she was 2. The classes are well structured and the facility is very clean. It is also evident that safety is their top priority. We recently just had her 5th birthday party at My Gym. Mr. Dee and Mr. Conner made her birthday extra memorable. Everything was so well organized and the kids were very engaged. She can't stop talking about how much fun she had. I highly recommend hosting your child's next party at My Gym!! read more

I was looking for an activity for my toddler (then 2.5) to enjoy during the week. He's not the type of kid to enjoy arts and crafts or storytime so I thought a gym class would be perfect. His grandmother (my mom) watches him three days a week so we decided to go with My Gym. I did a trial at My Gym and Gymboree but decided to go with My Gym for a few reasons. One was the class time and location, which worked out better for his schedule. The second and more main reason was that My Gym had more creative equipment configurations and classes. They were more engaging when it came to the activity stations and I thought the class was more fun overall. The equipment and room looks a little more worn than Gymboree, but I don't mind. FORMAT OF THE CLASS - at least for the Toddler class (Terrific Tots), there are about 10-15 kids in the class. At the beginning there is "free play" where the kids can play on whatever structures they want. A reminder that the kids wear no socks or shoes but parents/caregivers wear socks. Then, they start with circle time where everyone introduces themselves and they do some light "stretches," songs and then one "skill." This is really a precursor to gymnastics type of movements so they learn things like summersaults etc. Next, they move onto the activity stations. They set up 1-2 stations which focus on a type of skill and sometimes they make it themed (one was like a "car wash" where the kids go through on little cars and vehicles and work on motor skills). There is usually a teacher that helps with the skill one at a time so if your kid doesn't want to wait in line or the line is too long they can play with the other structures. This is where they get really creative with using equipment to make a fun activity or skill learning station. After a few rounds of different activity stations/free play they end with circle time again. This time they usually hand out a little object for the kids to interact with and do a puppet/story time/song. Sometimes bubbles! The entire class is only 45 minutes. Every few weeks (maybe every week?) they switch around the formations and structures so it's different. I liked that because then the kids don't get bored climbing the same things. What's nice is that the structures are customizable and configurable so they can make it into anything they want. COST - while the cost is a bit more pricey than some other activities, if you go to one of the open gyms during the week you're making the most of your money. Open gym is basically just a set time for kids to come and play with the structures. There's no circle time or structured activities. I think this is another great way to burn off some energy and spend time, which is technically "included" in your price. TEACHERS - Mr. Dee is the owner and there every class and open gym. He isn't your typical sweet and nurturing type of teacher but you can still tell he cares for the kids, just in a different way. He takes the time to get to know everyone (he remembered my son's name after a few classes) and pushes everyone to excel and do their best. Some parents might think it's a bit more "stern" but I think that's just his style. The other teachers are friendly and also remember your kid after just one or two classes. They are engaging and even during open gym they go around and say hi to the kids and play games with them. Overall, I enjoyed taking my son to My Gym and my mom did as well. The only reason we are leaving is because my son is starting preschool and won't be available during the daytime anymore and his schedule is changing. If you end up paying for it, make an effort to go to open gym to make the most of your monthly fee! read more

Awesome birthday experience for my 5 years old! The staff were friendly and the kids loved the activities that were planned. Everything went smoothly and was organized very well. Facility was spacious and clean with convenient parking. Thank you for an amazing experience! read more

We LOVE My Gym!! My son has been going every week for a month or two now, he has the best time. He's 9 mo so he's in that category of classes and he just loves being with the other babies and doing all the activities. He loves exploring the different toys and structures they have. The staff is great, it's been the same every time which is nice so they don't have too much turnaround. They also remember my sons name and remembered it very early on. Facilities are always clean and parking is always easy! read more

I am so grateful that I decided to book my daughter's 5th bday here at My Gym! This was easily the best bday party I've planned for either of my girls. More than just bouncing around, the two young lady instructors did such an amazing job keeping my daughter and her friends fully engaged, entertained with creative, age-appropriate games for her and her friends ranging from ages 2-9yrs old for the entire 2hrs! They were inclusive to all the kids without being pushy and gave special attention to my extraverted bday girl. I arrived right at 3pm and was welcomed with a nice set-up of table covers, balloons, and bday banner. It was a hot summer day and the place was nicely air-conditioned. When the guests started to arrive, the children excitedly joined in on the activities while the parents sat back and enjoyed themselves without a fret or being forced to participate in something silly with a risk of pulling a muscle. Seriously, if my daughter was invited to a party like this, I would be a very happy parent. I ordered Mediterranean food for the adults and pizza for the kids. Overall, the parents seemed relaxed and were smiling often; as for the children, they were saying to their parents that they wanted to have their bday party here as well. That's a lot of validation. Low stress and loads of fun. Inexpensive too compared to many other placed in the East Bay (I did my research). I also gave the two female instructors a tip for their positive energy and leading a packed, fun-filled itinerary for the kids. Thank you ladies! Oh and my younger daughter, age 2.5 has been attending her gym class for her age group for about 2 months and loves it. This place is well run and operated. Thanks again for serving our young families in our community! read more

It's definitely the next level to take after having a Gymboree membership. Mr. D is amazing. He knows all the children's names and interacts with everyone. My daughter is autistic and this class is perfect in that it allows her own space while also giving her an opportunity to try new physical activities. The circle time is a lot of fun. Highly recommend! read more

My 13 month old loves it! The setup changes weekly so there's always something to try. My day care provider takes her one day a week, and I try to hit a practice play session once a week. The practice session are open for all ages so it can get rambunctious and I have to watch closely to make sure she doesn't get run over by an active 3 year old. The sessions for her age group are fun, mixing group and individual activities. It really focuses on physical activity and agility, and some socialization. I found this different than Gymboree, which is more socialization and less agility/strength. Both are good, they are just different. Both are complete germy cesspools; kiddo got her first cold after going to My Gym and Gymboree in the same week. That's just what happens when a bunch of kids get together. Better now than kindergarten. The other big difference between My Gym and Gymboree is the time available. My Gym is much more limited on hours, and Gymboree allows you to use San Ramon and Pleasanton facilities interchangeably. Gymboree has unlimited "practice play" plus one session a week, whereas My Gym is one practice play and one session per week. Ultimately we went with My Gym; we liked the people and the physical activity. My kid is already really social; she'll lean on random moms and say hi to everybody. read more

My Gym - Hanging out with Mr. D ! - Gyms Near Me - San Ramon, California

I think the program is good - they do different activities each week. The instructor (Mr. D) seems like he chose the wrong profession - he's very short with the little kids. I mean, they are just kids! When he scolds, he scolds out of frustration and not out of love. If your kid is super compliant, I would send them here. If not, I'd stay away... read more

We really like Mr. D. He cares so much about the kids and brings enthusiasm to every class. My 2 yr autistic daughter was able to burn some energy in this class and socialize a bit. It is definitely a step up from Gymboree class. The activities are fun and engaging. Also, kids can roam at their own pace. read more

My Gym - Balls - Gyms Near Me - San Ramon, California

This is our first time stopping into My Gym in San Ramon for a Birthday Party. We've driven by many times and are glad we got invited because this place is great for kids age 7 mos to 7 years old. Our kids are having an excellent time dancing, playing, stretching and jumping into the ball pit. Half of the party has been free play while the other half was led by two instructors. They offer weekly parent participation classes (ages 7 mos to 3.5 years) independent classes (ages 3.25 - 7 years) and practice and play classes. The price is $80 for a month and includes one class and one practice and play. Discounts are available for additional siblings. Our daughter is 4.5 years old and there are 4 class offerings for her age group in one week. Unfortunately none of the times work with her school or our before dinner schedule. I wish more time offerings were available in the morning so we could take classes here. The classes look great. read more

My Gym - Gyms Near Me - San Ramon, California

Perfect party venue! This is the first year that I did not stress preparing for my child's birthday party. My Gym makes planning an event so easy and the price is pretty competitive for the area. They have everything you need such as invitations, set up, basic decorations and clean up. The best part is that the children all had a great time! Thank you so much My Gym, we will be back again! read more

This place is amazing. Mr. D and Ms. Cat are so great with the kids- they keep kids having fun, challenge them and keep them safe. This is way more than just a fitness class. Kids have so much fun while they work on their physical strength, flexibility, impulse control, social skills, listening and following instructions. No two classes are alike which helps keep kids interested and working on new skills. Class make up policy is super flexible. I seriously cannot speak highly enough about this place. My 5 year old loves it, I wish I knew about this place sooner. We've been going for a few months. read more

For my grandson's 4th Birthday Party this place was absolutely perfect. We had been to a party there once and he enjoyed it, so we planned his recent party there. Mr D is so great with running a fabulous and safe birthday gathering. The kids play for a while as others arrive. There is a climbing structure, small trampoline, ball bin to climb into. And also slides and bars to play on. This is great for I would say kids 2-8 years of age. Mr D gathers the kids and makes the birthday child the center of their attention. The thing that was most amazing is he and his colleague knew right away after one introduction period, each child's name. Mr D makes it fun but he also is a rule enforcer, in a good way. After the playtime they do the serving of food you provide. I did pizza fro Dominoes nearby, they delivered. I got the cake at Costco and they also served that for me. I just brought the drinks and goodie bags and it was one easy fantastic party for my grandson. I highly recommend this for a child's birthday party. read more

My child is really starting to enjoy the classes. He's not too keen on the structure of his class just, yet, but he adores the free play classes as he literally just plays alongside all the other children in the class. I can see his confidence & courage increasing with each interactive class. In due time, I hope he joins in on the intro & conclusion without a fuss. Thank you to the instructors as well as my child can be very "passionate" about what he wants LOL as are most children. read more

Great gym for babies and toddlers. it is clean, every session is different and full of age-appropriate activities. There is a nice balance of circle time, free time and focused motor activity. Staff is wonderful and highly recommend! read more

Took my lovely to her first birthday party here(a family friend's 4th). My active little future Olympian took on the ball pit, ladders, rings, and zip line with panache. Kids and parents alike loved the circle time and games run by the staff. I especially loved seeing my Mini-Me shake it to "Footloose" during the Freeze Dance Game. Why I'm not giving it four stars or booking my daughter's 3rd birthday party here? NO FOOD! We were starving by party's end at 3:30. I always look forward to the junk food extravaganza at most toddler parties but there was nothing allowed except birthday cake. Plus one of the staffers was a bit of a sour puss. Never smiled during the two hours she helped host. Maybe she should trade jobs with me. I'll dance with the preschool set and she can try to engage my high school kids with the classics of literature. Latin folks gotta eat so the quest for the birthday party site continues. Nevertheless, fun clean space for the tykes. read more

We love My Gym! First time mom and new to the area. With COVID we haven't had many opportunities to get out and meet people or socialize. My daughter was 2 when we started. Everything is very clean, Dee is so friendly and has a way of making the kids smile and shake their shyness! Love that it incorporates gross motor and fine motor with fun games/songs/and dance. I enjoy seeing my daughter interact with kids her age and get a chance to practice listening to another adult besides me. Very flexible schedule and overall a great experience for my daughter and myself. She loves going to gym every week. read more

We first came here for a birthday party. It's along the lines of Gymboree. When my 3 1/2 year old daughter didn't get into the HARD gymnastics class for the second time, we went to My Gym to enroll. She adores it! They mix circle time, free play, and real gymnastics... High bar, rings, balance bar, tumbling, horse, etc. They have classes up to age 9. Also, weekly mom's time, and occasional date night events. The instructors we've had are enthusiastic and great with the kids. http://www.my-gym.com/schedule.asp?schednum=1&gymid=170 read more

I used to take my son to class here. We loved it then, and we love it now. We recently returned for 2 separate birthday parties, and Mr. D and Stacy still remember my son by name (and it's probably been over 1.5 years since we've attended class here). Mr. D and Stacy are still great with the kids. They make sure all the kids are having fun yet safe. They are hands on and entertaining for them all, and they set a nice pace for their classes and the parties. I really appreciate the quality of service they offer, and if you have a little one and live close by, go and try out a class! read more

Very fun spot! Took my 1.5 year old to a Saturday free session to try and it couldn't have been more fun. There was just enough coordinated group play to have structure while still allowing for individual exploring. We will look to sign up in the near future! read more

I've started taking my baby here since she was 10 months. Very clean and friendly environment. Parent stays with the baby the whole class time. They are also very flexible if you missed a class. You can make up some other time just need to notify them. read more

We have been coming to My Gym for 3 years now. We have 2 kids, age 2 and 4 in the classes. It has been so awesome to watch them progress and develop. Mr. D and the entire staff are wonderful. My son started My gym at year 3. We knew it because some of his friends hold birthday party there and the parties were impressive fun! He has been attending the class for more than a year. He has had a very good learning experience at this center. He looks forward to the class every week and feels good about himself after the class each time. I feel the class not only builds up his muscle, skills but also his self esteem. At the beginning I felt $20 per class is a little expensive. But seeing my son having fun, learning new skills and being proud of himself, I now feel it's totally worth it. The owner Mr. Dean and teacher Christine and Alicia are all very friendly and considerate. They make the class a happy and safe environment for the kids to learn and have fun. At the same time, they also set appropriate boundaries to keep them safe and respect others. They offer free trial class. Give it a try. :) read more

My family and I came to My Gym for the first time for a birthday party and it was great! The head teacher was full of energy and leading lots of fun games and activities with all the kids. The age range at this party was 2 years old to about 6 years old. They were all engaged, having fun and playing together. There were two support staff to help and they even served the pizza and caked. Not sure what it cost to have a party here but my twins loved it. My daughter even said she wanted to have her birthday party there. Kudos to this place for a fun, active and engaging kids birthday party. read more

When my daughter was 3 years old, she had to withdraw from preschool due to extreme separation anxiety and a minor medical condition. Bessie, Patti (no longer there) and Saja were fantastic --so attentive, patient and accommodating. If your child has separation anxiety, this is a great place to help your child. She was a bit older than the other kids in Terrific Tots, but that was the appropriate level for her to start since it was Mommy& Me style. Eventually, you can move to the other side of the partition, etc. There are TWO teachers with every class, which is even better than Gymboree (which we also loved, but felt we were outgrowing). We also had her 4th and 5th birthday parties here. I agree that your child gets wonderful attention for the day, and the kids get a taste of a class- better than just free play, in my opinion. We ordered cake from Coldstone (it was cold as stone - our only mistake) and pizza from Round Table for the kids; Vietnamese sandwiches, macaroons from CremeSiBon and Starbucks coffee for adults....all from the same shopping complex! Everyone enjoyed it! read more

I was there last weekend. My daughter attended her friend's 4th Birthday Party. It was our first time in "My Gym". And I have to say, i was pleasantly surprised. This place is nothing like those commercialized "pump it up" or "bounce u" where stuff is mostly young kids who don't care about your child experience. 'My Gym" has personal touch to anyone who's attending the party, and VERY SPECIAL attention to the Birthday Girl/Boy! Mr D and his helper did such a great job! Me and my daughter absolutely loved every activity they did with the kids. I was amazed how cool the kids party could be done in such a place. Also, it smells good in there!!!! No awful smell of "whatever it is" in other places like that. And its super clean! I will recommend this place to anyone who wants to do party for a child 2-6 years olds. FUN, FUN,FUN!!!!!!! read more

My son is 16 months and loves My Gym! The class is a nice set up between guided time and free play. There's a lot of different things to play on and they move it around every week to keep it fresh. My son falls asleep as soon as we leave because he's gotten out all that energy! read more

We love MyGym San Ramon! The teachers and Mr. Dee are the BEST! We are so impressed with how they are handling COVID-19 adaptations. They immediately came up with a plan for online live classes and are providing unlimited access to daily live content that keeps my one and four year old moving and engaged. We miss everyone at the gym but are so grateful for the connectivity the kids are having with MyGym friends and continuity from seeing their teachers on a regular basis. Also, there is special pricing for this online content that is very reasonable. Check it out! read more

We have loved our experience at My Gym! The staff are so good with kids, and I have always felt comfortable and supportive with how they engage, teach, and discipline. My son has learned so much and significantly improved his physical skills and coordination. They are so very good and flexible about making up classes and dropping in on practice and play times. My youngest is too young for classes, but participates in practice and play hours. We will definitely sign him up for the independent classes when he's old enough! read more

I would give MyGym 10 stars if I could! Mr. D and all of the staff are amazing. We started my little one here before she could walk and she just turned three. She went from being afraid of almost all activities to being one of the most outgoing and adventuress kids in the class. In addition to weekly classes, we also had her birthday party here and the kids LOVED it. Hands-down the best toddler/little kid party we've ever had. We had our son's 6th birthday party here. Everything was great. Instructors had a very nice and active program involving all kids. We just stopped by this gym to check it out for our 12 mo baby and we were really mistreated by the owner there. We will definitely not come back and do not recommend this gym to anyone. Just had my son's 3rd birthday party here and was pleased with the event! We are not regular members but I had heard of the place and was looking for a place to have a bday party. Tried out the free trial class and my son quickly warmed up to the teachers and class that I signed up for the party package. So glad I did! All the kids at the party had a great time, and for many it was their first time. At the beginning, the kids (mostly 2.5-3 yo) were reserved/shy. By the middle of the party they were all engaged, running around, participating, etc. It was a fantastic party! I HIGHLY recommend this place. The party went smoothly and both teachers made the kids feel welcomed. Thank you to Kristen and Mr. D. !!! We are looking to take regular classes ... just have to find time in my son's busy schedule! :) read more

Both for parties and for classes, I think this My Gym is hard to beat--for consistency, quality and curriculum. My Gym's facility (while I'd repaint the murals with half a chance) is flexible, with dynamic structures that move and change throughout the week and throughout your class! No, it's not strictly a gymnastic class, though legitimate gymnastic skills are touched on and every teaching moment is developmentally appropriate and challenging. The free time breaks are great opportunities for motor planning and socializing My 2yo and 4yo both started in Gymboree and ended up at My Gym when I realized that Gymboree's experience--beyond a 'slick' aesthetic presentation and Gymbucks--wasn't consistent and, for toddlers, didn't have an age appropriate curriculum or a set of 'structures' with which a kid could really grow. On the other hand, at My Gym, every child is challenged, engaged and gets attention with a minimum of two teachers per class. No one lost in the shuffle. The teachers and the owner, "Mr.D!" are enthusiastic, safety-minded, and...fun!! As a perk, D throws Halloween Parties (no $25-$50 entry fees like other brands), holds an inexpensive summer camp for as many or few days as you like, and sometimes has a winter break camp so you can go holiday shopping. OMG Finally, having been to a hundred little kid parties now, My Gym is the only facility where the birthday boy/girl remains the center of activities--that are fun for all. (We did 3yo and 4yo there. Will do 3 and 4 again with the second child.) read more
