I actually think this place is a-ok - it serves its purpose of feeding and entertaining kids ;) Just don't expect the food to be good, though. Had their pepperoni pizza (which took about 30 mins for it to come out); the crust was hard and it was greasy as heck. My coworker is always saying how good the pizza is here, when he takes his daughter for parties. Right... the pizza we exclaim at work. So when it came time for his birthday we thought that this newly opened CEC near work would be the perfect place to take him. We arrive and there is this velvet rope that blocks the entire entrance, even though the place is almost empty. Yeah. It's just like the club atmosphere that most of us are used to. The lady comes by and lets us in w/out a cover charge. NICE! (I'm being sarcastic btw.) And... we were right to bring our coworker here. We get there and the guys run off and start playing the games claiming they will be good eating whatevers. We order the pizza and then I skip off and follow them. I played a little Mario Kart before returning back to the table to eat. The best thing I discover is that all the games here are 1 token. That's the value! We ate and chatted, then the guys chomped down their food and ran back to get a couple more games in before lunch was over. Challenged the bday boy to basketball where we all lost, played a little ddr and then a more merry bunch happily went back to work. This place is really cool. This is one of the better Chuck E. Cheese's I have been to. Recently came here for a birthday party my daughter was invited to, and we all really enjoyed it! The thing I was very surprised about was how good their pizza is here! At the San Jose locations I have been to the pizza is terrible and under cooked! I just remember not liking it at all. Here the pizza was wonderfully crispy and well cooked, and very very tasty! The birthday cake was also nice, and all the games played with just one token, wow! Excellent deal, and a lot of fun for all the kids! At the end of the party my daughter and her little friends all got to turn in all their tickets for prizes and they all love that. Chuck E. This location is fairly small compared to the other locations i've been to, but its REALLY close to my house. I take my little brother at times do something, but is only fun the couple times we go due to the small amount of game selection. Most of the games are cheap and boring, but its nice that its only 1 coin per game play. The only game thats popular and worth the money is the Initial D racing game, which is cool becuase the machine moves in the direction that you are moving. you can usually find coupons in the mail like "buy 50 coins, get 50 coins free" which is a really good deal, but I wouldn't buy coins otherwise. I've heard that the food is terrible, but I have yet to try it myself; though I am not looking forward to. Getting your prizes from tickets is difficult because there is only 1 employee that usually works it, when there are multiple kids waiting in line! OK, but not worth it read more

I like to bring my daughter and nieces and nephew here to have some fun. This is a go to spot for us. I love that it's never crazy packed and can easily keep an eye on little ones. Decided to have my daughters birthday here and was disappointed with the host Anthony. He made me and a couple guests feel uncomfortable. He was offering to charge $5 to go into the ticket blaster. When we were going to pay he said to just pay him cash or Venmo... so he's pocketing this money obviously. Then when given the check to pay he mentions it does not include tip... okay? I then proceed to ask if I can leave tip on the card I'm paying with. He says no only cash Venmo or zelle..? Idk but this doesn't sound legit to me. As far as making the party a good experience he did a great job but there were other comments made by some of my guests about him that seemed sketchy. I've been to a lot of chuck e cheeses in my day, and this ranks as one of the cleanest, well-kept ones I've visited. They have a bunch of games to choose from for all ages, a climbing structure, and a section for babies. Their prices can be steep for food, but there are always coupons online. The price per game can't be beat because games are ALL one token (which is $.25-.33 depending on how many you buy). Pizza has improved greatly, salad bar is fresh and plentiful, and there are lots of other food options. Kids love it, obviously. Even at its busiest (now!!!) It's well spread out and not too crazy. This is the worst Chuck E. Cheese I have ever went to. Was there for my nephews party. I ordered the large wings paid $42 for like 16 wings. Ok whatever it's over priced but I wanted wings. I asked cashier If I could do half buffalo and half sweet chili. Cashiers words to me is sure that's no problem. My wings came out and and I only had 5 sweet chili wings. The rest were buffalo. It should of been a easy fix. However the assistant manager Maria made me feel like I was outta line with my request and was arguing with me over the wings. I didn't even eat the wings. I brought my 2 kids and 2 of their friends, ages ranging from 4 to 12. They ALL had a great time! It's been over a year or so since we've last visited and they now have a new card system (Play Pass) in place of coins. I actually prefer this. In the past, my kids have lost coins here and there, and sometimes a game eats it without giving credit. We had no issues with the card. Cost per game play is cheap considering the type of games they offer, only 1 point per play (less than a quarter per point)...compare to how much you spend per game at Dave & Busters and you'll definitely see the value given at CEC. Worried your kid might lose their card? They've got that covered too. You can purchase a bracelet that attaches to the card. If you don't want to pay for a bracelet, bring a lanyard from home! I would have done that had I known about the Play Pass. There's even a kiosk to refill/transfer points and get a point balance, along with a summary of what each point was spent on AND how many tickets were won. Speaking of which, the games still spit out physical tickets. That hasn't gone digital yet. I found that my son plows through his points playing ticket-spitting games while my daughter likes going on rides and playing games that take a couple minutes to finish. I've figured out that it's best to do the "unlimited specified-time play" for my son and get just points for my daughter. Best value for my money this way. We came on a Tuesday and ordered 2 pizzas on arrival (1pm). They were served to our table straight out of the oven within 15 minutes. Staff are helpful. Unfortunately there's not enough of them. That's where I deducted 1 star. Luckily I had patient and obedient kids with me because we were in line for a little while before we got to the cashier. I got 3 little ones and they love Chuck E. Cheese. I've had multiple birthdays here and whenever they are good, we take them here. The enjoy the games and the fact that Chuck E. Cheese has a choice between points or unlimited play, it's always a win win. The staff there is great and very respectful. We've had Abel as our party planner for both birthdays and it was perfect. Very accommodating and professional. I believe Allan Is the manager there and he's great and always smiling. The kids haven't had a bad experience and that's all that matters. I haven't been to a Chuck E. Cheese since I was a child. I was invited to attend a friends child's birthday. I had to wait to even enter the building as they stamp children and parents. I can understand this is for safety, yet couldn't they have an alternate entrance or a sign explaining what was happening. Some of the games were not working and some of the ticket counting machines were not working either. I noticed a few Jackpots get awarded and it took a while for someone to clear it and award the player their tickets. I ate a slice of pizza and water that my friends ordered. I tried to enjoy some of the limited games that were there. I thought things were fine until I returned to the party, where the birthday boy was opening presents. This is where the manager came over and started yelling at my friend. Our group gathered up our stuff in a rush and left. It was all really unprofessional. I've attended plenty of events and parties where things have run over or gone off schedule. The staff at those places never yelled, they never forced us out of the building, and never made us feel like we shouldn't even be there. They made a gesture of refunding the cost of food, yet the damage had already been done. Had they offered to give us another table or work with us, that might have been more professional. Throwing us out, even after refunding a few pizzas, doesn't make for good service. I will not be returning. Thanks for ruining a childhood memory. read more

My bad experience with this Chuck E. Cheese began with the two hundred "Yes on Prop 8" protesters parading around Stevens Creek Blvd. shouting, yelling, scaring my kids and forcing me to answer questions that are beyond my kids years. Ok, I realize the folks at Chuck E. Cheese can't control who's on the sidewalk in front of their place but, they can control who they let in to use the bathroom ---- and they let several of these people in! This resulted some interesting and rather colorful exchanges with protestors and patrons. Let me tell you how great it is to simply go out for pizza and wind up explaining to your 7-year-old what a bigot is! NOT!!! As for the state of the restaurant itself --- the place looked semi-clean but, the staff seemed overwhelmed. The prize counter for the arcade was mobbed the entire time we were there and only ONE person was made available to sleep walk through helping kids redeem their tickets. My kids were in line for close to 30 minutes waiting to be served. At one point, the kids at the counter were abandoned altogether --- probably because an employee slammed his red vest down and stomped out to join the protesters. ICK!!! read more

First of all if I could give a negative rating I would have preferred that. We organized a birthday party first time for my kid today and extremely disappointed. Such a chaos, terribly mismanaged and half-hazard system. Three birthday parties at a time at the same place and what a mismanagement. People from other party came and took our stuff. At least if we are paying for a package we expect some exclusive time and space. Most of the games occupied by outsiders, cards not working properly for kids and on the top no one bothered for the food serving and all. Pretty tiny place in an obscure strip mall. Never would have noticed it if it wasn't for Yogurtland across the street. Pretty good place to bring the kids if it's close by, otherwise I'd check out another CEC or Nickel City. One thing I'm crazy about here (even though I think I'm a little too old for video games at this point..) is that crazy Initial D Game they have that moves you around as you "drive." This Check E Cheese is the go-to place for kids in the neighboring cities when its too rainy or cold to be outside. Unfortunately, the folks who manage and run the place needs to be more family and kid-friendly. I'll never know, how this Chuck E Cheese hires people who appear like they don't even want to be there. But, I do know when your business deals with kids and families, you need to be more welcoming. In the past, I've had reasonably good vibes at this location, but a recent weekday experience turned me off entirely. The so-called Manager had a sulky look on his face all the time. Obviously, it rubbed off on the rest of the workers. The grumpy SOB wasn't responsive when kids went to tell him about malfunctioning game machines which ate their tokens. He actually said "I don't have time right now!" The place wasn't even 1% full. It was a weekday. At most, there were 10 kids in the whole place. Then, when kids went to redeem their hard-earned tickets for prizes, his staff seemed like management had lit a fire under their butts. They were edgy, nervous and impatient, like they just wanted to get rid of the little kids in front of them. A tell-tale sign that all was not as pleasant as it seems at this Chuck E Cheese. Mind you, I understand that Chuck E Cheese is not the Happiest Place on Earth, but when dealing with kids, please provide a little courtesy and smile, a facade will do. Cheese's, Bamboola's and Jungles, this one has them all beat. This place is clean and small, which is an improvement over every other Chuck E. Cheese I've suffered through. The games are decent; there is something for everybody. So while my son shoots basketball, my daughter can climb in the tubes and I can play pinball. I love that all games are 1 coin (and there is one hydrolic, moving car racing game that would probably cost $5 a pop if it were at Dave and Busters. It is too bad that CEC can't refine their pizza recipe. I mean, when you are a one trick pony, why not be the best one trick pony? I should rate it one star, but my nieces enjoyed themselves. They got to run around, play games, dance with a giant rat, etc. An hour and a half of them not trying to kill each other is worth an extra star. However, this is a restaurant, so we must judge the food. The pizza is bad, bad, bad. If you're a pizza joint, even a kid-centric one, the pizza should be at least ok. This stuff was nasty. Rubbery crust, pretty thin on the cheese-like substance, lots of extra grease, and really no flavor to speak of. I really like pizza, but only eat it occasionally (it's usually to hard to keep to my carb budget with pizza), but I wish I hadn't today. The apple dessert pizza was ok, but the fact I had room in my meal allotment of carbohydrates to eat any just goes back to the lack of quality in the real pizza. I'm not convinced that I seemed to like the apple-pie type thing more than I otherwise would if not for how favorably it compared to the pepperoni. The tiny drink cups caused real-sized people like myself to make too many trips to the drink station. Hint to the management, if you charge different prices for adult and child beverages, it would be nice if you let those of us taller than three feet have a full sized cup. But, as I stated at the beginning, the kiddos seemed to enjoy themselves. I spent most of my time with the three-year old, and while I'm not sure she understood the point of all the games she played, she was laughing, smiling, and having a good time. The ticket redemption counter was empty when we went there. No employees in sight to help the kiddos spend their voucher from the ticket eating monster machines. It's Chuck E Cheese, it's going to be loud, and it's going to have kids running rampant all over the place. Overall it was a decent experience but a few things kept it from being outstanding. My in-laws gave me a gift card for my birthday to take my 2 1/2 year old for a daddy daughter date, and though she might still be a tad young for everything she did enjoy it. A little too much, but that's another story all together. After we were stamped to get in (security to make sure you don't boost a kid) we used a coupon we got online for a medium pizza, 2 drinks and 20 coins for $19.99 (the coupon only gives you 5 extra coins). Knowing that my daughter wouldn't eat if I let her play first i made her sit in one of the many (too many perhaps.) booths to wait for the pizza. Pizza took about 10 minutes and arrived hot. It's chuckecheese so don't go expecting great pizza. After she ate two slices she was off to play. it was Wednesday night so I wasn't surprised that it wasn't packed. There were a few birthday's going on and the staff seemed engaged with their customers. It's a pretty small space for a chuckeCheese and there didn't seem to have a huge selection of games, but given the light crowd it didn't seem overwhelmingly packed. Everything worked that we tried and it was clean. The toddler area has a few younger kid games (whack a mole) and a small rocking ride. The small play structure was decent as well. The balance of arcade to ticket games seem skewed towards ticket games, and only the racing simulator seemed interesting to me. But my toddler loved the motion ride where the bench moves in correlation to the action on the screen. There were a couple things I didn't like, There were booths and tables everywhere, so much so that it seemed to take away space from the games. Maybe on Saturday where there are a host of birthday parties they need the space for kids to eat. The bathrooms really didn't seem clean, the changing table in the mens bathroom had a diaper on it, and there was a strong ammonia smell in the air. The staff member sweeping the floor used her bare hands to pick at the salad bar. Normally it wouldn't bother me, but she had a broom and a dust pan in her other hand and shes using an ungloved hand to touch the food. Maybe she was tidying up the salad bar, but gross. Bottom line is that I still have a balance on the gift card, and I don't have an aversion to taking my little one again. But I can imagine on a crowded night it will be a mad house.
