This place consistently had no one watching the entrance - which meant no one was checking the stamps on kids/parents. The place seemed incredibly understaffed. No one was monitoring the bouncy area, no one on the floor where the games were, 1 cashier, 1 person at the prize section. When my order was ready there was no one directing the food to the correct people so anyone could theoretically walk up and talk whatever they wanted. Honestly, it was my first time ever at a Chuck E Cheese and it was not worth the money paid. This place specifically just seemed to be really lacking in oversight and staffing. First of all, I want to thank this location profusely for such a wonderful birthday party for my daughter. It really means the world to me because I was deployed in the Middle East during my daughter's birthday last year and I was under a lot of pressure to make it up to my 6 year old Princess. I always love the pizza at Chuck E Cheese? The Dippin Dot option after the cake was a hit with the kids. If someone missed out, they cried and we had to get more. They allowed us to dress up and dance with the kids and Chuck E and decorate the tables. They were great at redirecting nicely if something didn't work. I wish we'd had more time to set up but as a parent it's important I understand there are multiple parties and many uncontrollable factors I'm not taking into account and it's my choice to have a party here after someone else just had theirs and probably left late. So I recommend keeping that in mind. If your party is in the morning, get there early. If it's after 1, and no one is going after you, tell guests it's a little later so you're not trying to set up in 15 minutes. It's like that at every location. So there's this new black dude y'all hired and I came in there at the last minute with my family I wanted to give My Son an awesome birthday party and the place was busy. I think there was a school in there or something and this dude never buckled under pressure. I watched this dude bounce from position to position without losing his cool. I saw him taking orders checking people in check-in tables, Fixing, the free salad area, cap checking on different guest, he took his time to check out games that kids complained about weren't working, he was helping kids turning their tickets for prizes, I even saw him go to the back and come out in the Chucky outfit. When my order came out, it was a lot and as he walked by, he asked if I needed help and helped me carry the food to my table dude was effing amazing even though I didn't have a reserved party for my kids birthday. I didn't know that jumping area wasn't included with the game card and instead of him being rude and just kicking my kids out he explained to me how I can pay for it and explain how the socks keeps the kids from slipping or hurting themselves and the way he explained it I had no problem buying the passes for my kids. The other older guy I believe his name was jesus was also very helpful, Oliva was very friendly and even the young kid working. The prize area did an amazing job. Would stood out most and made the visit memorable was the young black dude he checked on us and He came and asked if I wanted Chucky to come to my table and greet the kids and take pictures or sing happy birthday with us. We finished playing games and waited for the food to come out. The food came out at 3:15. It took exactly an hour from ordering. They had a bunch of birthday parties going on and lots of people waiting for food. Ordered 4 orders of wings. 2 lemon pepper, 1 bbq and 1 sweet chili. They didn't tell us they were out of lemon pepper until 2:45 pm. Smh. When we finally got them, they were the smallest wings I have ever had in my life. More like parrot wings. This location is a hot mess... quite literally a mess. They are so understaffed that there wasn't enough people working to buss the tables, check tickets, stamp the door, take food orders, manage the trampoline park. This location doesn't have nearly as many games as other locations so it was quite disappointing to come back and see it was still lacking after their grand reopening. Many of the games were out of order too. From the moment I entered I couldn't wait to leave. It was pure chaos with one person running the cash register, then to the door to stamp folks then back. Brianna helped us check out and count our tickets for the prizes. She was patient and kind and the only reason I gave two stars instead of one. I wanted to give positive feedback for Jessica the supervisor that in the past review i was not happy. I am noticing alot of positive changes. She is smiling when me and my nephew walk in and more helpful and kind. I came back due to her positive approach and I believe everyone deserves second chance. This location looks great now but it seems like they might be a bit understaffed. There are many moving parts within a a Chuck E. Cheese and one of the most important aspects is the front gate. I noticed there was often a queue of people waiting to get in and sometimes it was easy for people to leave without getting their stamps checked. The game machines are new but there is not as much variety versus other locations. I hope this location can continue to mature after their recent refurbishment. Quite a few of the games were under maintenance which was a bummer. Warning to adults, parents that go here don't hold their kids accountable when they lie and hit a kid in the face. I had ask multiple times to have my table cleaned and the guy that looks Philippino with almond shape eyes with a lakers face mask ignored all my requests and proceeded to do other things although I did ask if they can provide me with something so I can clean it myself since he clearly didn't want to do his job. Chuck E Cheese, emerging from a second bankruptcy a few years ago, touted a recent 300M overhaul of all locations to make it a better experience "where families would want to come everyday, not just for a birthday." I took two of my kids a few weeks ago to see these "improvements." It was unbelievably awful--complete chaos from the staff and a really depleted atmosphere. There was a ton of customers, but no one seemed to know what was going on. No one to take your order, no one actually making your order after someone finally did take your order, no ice, no straws, no basics. No games the kids were even interested in playing. We ended up getting nothing but a tiny personal pizza (which took 40 minutes to actually come out) and a root beer (again, with no ice or straws because they ran out, it was warm root beer) then we left. I looked over at the salad bar and it was totally unsanitary; I also looked into the kitchen because I could not find a human being to ask why the tiny pizza I ordered had not come out after 30 minutes of waiting (in fact, I saw no pizzas or food at all come out) and the kitchen was completely empty...no staff of any kind. And yet, there were a ton of people there. Why? I have no idea, I guess the bar is just really low for anything in 2025 to be tolerable. Will never return. read more

I remember Chuck E. Cheese from when I was a kid. I was never that into the food or the animatronic band, and even then, I recognized a difference between the cute, bubbly Mickey Mouse and Chuck, the giant gray pizza rat. Now that I'm an adult, I have the tiniest bit of nostalgia for that janky band, which only exists in a few last locations across the country. I went back to Chuck E. Cheese a couple weeks ago for the first time since childhood, for a fifth birthday party for one of my older son's classmates. It was in a giant strip mall in Burbank, next to an abandoned Kmart. Parking was easy. This Chuck E. Cheese didn't look anything like I remembered, which is probably good, as it means this location has been renovated sometime in the last thirty years. It was a loud, colorful arcade with a large seating area in back, presided over by a dead-eyed, stationary Chuck. We were with our two boys, four and 21 months, and minus a bit of moodiness from our older child, they had a great time running around enjoying unlimited play from tap cards provided by the birthday boy's family. The toddler didn't even need the arcade machines to run. He was happy just looking at screens and rotating steering wheels, and was caught off guard when the little bus he was on started rocking. (He did love it, though, and stayed on for several rides.) Our four-year-old got into the Skee-Ball, though we let him count it as a win whenever he got the ball all the way up the lane and into the gutter, which might technically be zero points. He was less into the actual birthday party, refusing to sit at the table and eat his pizza. His baby brother, on the other hand, loved the pizza, and clapped his hands when a live Chuck E. Cheese came out for the birthday song. There were two parties going at once, and the entertainment was for both of them. There were like ten more empty tables, which makes me think this place can book a dozen parties at once. Nice hustle, pizza rat. I was pleasantly surprised by the cheese pizza, which was pretty tasty, maybe thanks to a liberal amount of garlic. I also enjoyed the Chuck E. Cheese appearance, since whoever was inside that costume seemed to find my toddler adorable, giving him what felt like a special amount of attention. We stayed for a couple of hours, then realized we'd been accumulating points on that play card, which we could redeem for garbage prizes I absolutely did not want in my house. I was so happy when my kid wanted to spend most of his points on lollipops. We got away with just one junky toy, and it isn't even a choking hazard. The lady at the counter tried to get us to keep the card for our next trip, but I returned it, since I'm not planning to spend a lot of time at Chuck E. Cheese. This is an older Chuck E. Cheese and it's on the smaller side. It's prime location in the heart of Burbank's shopping district makes it a good reprieve for parents with antsy kids in tow. We came here for my kids' cousin's fourth birthday. Parking was ample in the old K-mart mall. The actual buildings in the mall looked tired and could have benefited from an exterior refresh and were a stark juxtaposition to the more modern shops and eateries across the street. The main play area was smaller than most and the party area followed the same profile. My kids all had fun and didn't mind or really notice the difference in size compared to OC Chuck E. Cheese's as they were more concerned about playing with their cousins and having a good time. The pizza, according to them, was good. I, personally, am not a fan, not just of this location, but all. We celebrated 2 of my kids birthday last weekend. We had Daniel as our server, he was amazing. He went above and beyond for me and my party. He had a smile from the moment he introduced himself and had nice positive energy. Let me tell you, I remember Chuck E. Cheese used to be the best place. Now with some new changes, it has really downgraded. They got rid of a lot of good games that actually were rewarding (tickets wise) and got rid of the playground apparatus thing and put a jumper they could make money off of. First of all, let me tell you how stingy this place is. They charge so much money for their new play cards, and are monetizing a jumper for the kids, almost $20 for some socks and a band that allow them to jump in the jumper, while we see other families that don't have the socks or the bands jumping in for free, meanwhile they allowed our family to be charged. They also got rid of one of the key factors that Chuck E Cheese had when I was a kid, which was the animatronics. The once well known stage that had them all speaking and everything is now replaced by screens, which aren't even playing really interesting things... just Kidzbop. During our whole stay here, for about 2 hours, I never once saw Charles Entertainment Cheese come out. I overheard a lot of kids looking forward to seeing him (even if us adults know it is just a mascot and costume, it meant a lot more to kids so it was sad.). I especially miss the dance that they used to make Chuck E. Do with kids, and throw out tickets.. but now I guess with their cards, there is no point. Let's talk about the service. It's not the greatest, but not the worst. The employees are doing their job... sort of. I saw only about 3 workers working when we came in, and they were slammed before they could stamp us and let us in at the gate. Additionally, for their new jumper, they are supposed to have an employee supervising it, but all they put was a small closed sign in which everyone ignored because they left the gate wide open. My family tried doing the right thing because we knew we had to pay for our kids to use the jumper, but I saw other families kids using it without having the band or socks. I only complain about this because of how much they charged us but don't use any enforcement and everyone else uses it freely. Also the salad bar sucked, wasn't clean, and wasn't refilled during our stay. Let's talk about the food. IT SUCKS, so much. Their pizza is mediocre, and they cut it into really thin slices to make it seem like it's a lot, but it isn't. They're super cheap, as we got an order of 10 wings, but they skimped out and gave use really small ones and counted it as 1 wing out of the 10. I compared it to the celery sticks, the wing is about as big as my pinky finger. Super cheap business that charges way too much for mid food. Also, I saw so many dirty tables and no one cleaned any of them for customers. Lastly, the games. All good games have been replaced with really bad, cheap payout games. I remember the payout for games, even the kiddy ones, gave at least 10 tickets. Now they're all really cheap games, with impossible goals, and even if you do well, each game averaged about 2-4 tickets as a reward. But the prizes cost a lot of tickets, which no kid could really achieve when receiving 2-4 tickets. I tried looking for a game that could have a nice payout, and the only game that I could find that had a nice payout was skii-ball, one of the OG games, which I usually got around 12 tickets per play, and I abused this game on a a 30 minute play card because it's the only good one. But most kids can barely get a high score on this game, so they'd only get about 4 tickets. Everything sucks. Remember the Big Bass wheel?? Remember how in the past it used to pay from 10-30 tickets? And how the bonuses were like 100, and the big one was like 1000? Yeah now the big one is like 100. All of these games give bad payout and their prize booth has prizes worth 3000 tickets.. and they're not even good prizes. They got rid of everything that was good about this place. My advice is that those looking for getting tickets to get a timer based amount of play on your card instead of the tickets, finding the best machine that they may have, and just play that. But for most kids, the points on the card is better since kids don't have the best understanding of time usage. I know this place is for kids, but this was miserable. This business used to be a good place, now it's really gone down and will most likely close down if they continue to be cheap skates, with mid service, ever worse food and small food portions, and bad games. This is the equivalent to the establishment being a cheerful, colorful, young place to a now depressing middle aged adult (but as a building/business.). Chuck E. Cheese business really fumbled, at least at this location. If anyone knows a way better one please let me know. My advice is to find a hopefully better location, or don't come at all. Cheese not the best place when it comes to games and food. But wow these workers were just lazy, unmotivated, lacked enthusiasm and gave no energy. I believe my receipts said bri was working. I won't put all of the blame on her but someone that day told me the show would be in 5 minutes 4 separate times. It was infuriating, if it was going to take 20 minutes just tell me that so I'm not going back and forth with my guests and the staff. To further the miscommunication examples on the staffs part, my son did the ticket blaster. And about 10 minutes later another team member offered my partner the ticket blaster. For a second she thought about taking the offer but she explained we already had the experience and the team member was dumb founded. I recommend not getting any packages with a host. If I had paid for a host and got that energy with the worker I would have been even more upset. I go to so many Chuck e cheese as this is my sons favorite place and let me tell you this location in Burbank is the BEST not cause of the location but because of a staff member named Terry Payton. My son is special with ADHD and he can be ALOT at at times and usually staff always gets frustrated having to deal with my son, but Terry goes above and beyond to try to help calm my son down with his kind actions and words where my son calms down, listens to him, and goes back to having fun! Terry is extremely attentive, cares about the kids safety and needs specially with the special ones who need just a little bit more patience and care then others. The drama no one asked for lol. I took a few days to write this. My bf and I took his daughter there a few days ago. This other girl who's clearly older and bigger than her pushed her down the slide & our kid got stuck in the middle of the slide. My bf yelled out to her to not push another kid. In return she looked him in the eye and slid down with her SHOES On into our kid's back, pushing her again. Our kid was obviously hurt. The dad of the little B said he didn't see anything and carried on with his phone so my bf bumped into him. We got ratted on, my bf told the manager what happened: his kid pushed our kid twice. And the manager just tried to mediate- fair. It's your job. My bf had some choice words for him and we got kicked out. But that's not my issue. I get why you kicked US out- but why would you also let this other family who displayed HORRIBLE parenting stay there and get to play while their dog of a daughter isn't well trained. I started off understanding but then I got mad thinking about it over the last few days. I'm sure management would take issue with anyone whose kid (who btw was old enough to know better) hurt their own kid. Do you know I never set foot on any of Chuck E Cheese's locations? Not until I was invited to a kiddie party for my nephew. I was actually debating to go or not because I knew the party was mainly for kids but in support of my brother, I went. The experience wasn't actually too bad. Except for screaming and running kids all over the place, I actually had a good time reuniting with family members, entertaining guests, and socializing with friends. Who knew adults can also have a lot of fun here. We were served subs, pizza, and fries. Food was actually a lot better than I thought. Sure it wasn't gourmet but good enough to feed all the guests. Yo their deals are legit. The pizza is thin crust but for five freaking bucks it's super tasty. I feel bad they're going bankrupt. The wings were great too. I think they were probably frozen but I don't care for $5. The mozzie sticks not bad for $3 as well. TIP THEM! Bummer you can't tip on card though. read more
