One of the reasons that we are BIG fans of the RI Food Fights is that we get to try new restaurants that we would probably have never heard of or never go to. Chub's Blue Pig BBQ in North Attleboro is just one of those types of restaurants. Upon entering the restaurant, someone would shout out a greeting from behind the counter. It is something so small but it definitely makes you feel immediately seen & welcomed. The entire space is covered is BBQ & piggy themed items. Super cute! We could order any ground brisket burger with our RI Food Fights coupons. I ordered the Bacon Burger - Chub's bacon, American cheese, lettuce, pickles & BBQ sauce. It was a delicious burger with zippy BBQ sauce & house-made pickles. It was more medium than medium rare but the ground brisket was outstanding. Hubby opted for the Triple Decker Cheeseburger Club: Chub's bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato & mayo. This sky high burger sandwich was ginormous! Toast, burger, cheese, toast, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo, toast. It was one of the best burgers we ate all month. For me, the addition of mayo on the sandwich was really delicious. For hubby, it was the size. We also ordered mac & cheese which was everything you want - ooey gooey, lots of cheese, pasta al dente, the perfect serving size for two people to share (or one really hungry hubby!). Other customers were chowing down on fries which looked delicious. We asked about collard greens but Chub's unfortunately doesn't have that on the menu. Another thing that struck me was that when a customer came in to pick up their to go order, the person behind the counter would walk the bag around & hand it directly to the person. This personable touch really make a great restaurant stand out even more! We can't wait to go back to try the brisket, maple bourbon pork belly & ribs. Thank you for the great burgers & hospitality!

Wow! Great BBQ, friendly service, what more can you ask for! A great little spot nestled in the Back streets of Downtown Attleboro, Chub's Blue Pig did not disappoint....We had a Pulled Pork Sandwich and Ribs with Hand cut French Fries and Mac and Cheese on the Side. I must say it was all good. A little pricey but EVERYTHING is a little pricey nowadays.... 4.5 out of 5!

I've been there a couple of times and have tried different things and everytime I've been amazed at how good the food is. Every time I'd go to pick up, the person up front is always so nice! I love mini store they have in there as well, I bought my work coaster from there. Super cute spot and good bbq 10/10

This was my first time at Chub's, as part of the 2025 RI Food Fights Burger Blowout. I remember a long time ago this used to be a pizza and sandwich shop but has since gone through change in ownership and is now a full-fledged BBQ place! The place was busy on this particular day but I was able to find a place to sit. It was nice inside and there was room to seat a decent amount of people. The staff were very friendly and took time to explain the menu. Besides their regular menu they also had daily specials, which is where I found the most delicious burger I've had up to this point (wish I could remember the name). It was a Smashburger topped with their amazing brisket and house bbq sauce. I also ordered a side of the house baked beans and cornbread. I was stuffed by the time I was done. I wish I had room for more, but at least I have a lot to look forward to on my return trip. Definitely a must try if you're in the area!

First time visiting- Alyssa assisted with some suggestions. today I ordered the brisket sandwich with 1 side choice of baked beans. The brisket sandwich had a decent smoke and the beans were decent. I sampled two BBQ sauces Sweet Heat and Texas Black Pepper, my choice was the Sweet Heat My guest ordered the Chubs burger with mac & cheese. The burger is their smoked brisket chopped and formed as a burger, I was told it was excellent. Wish they offered collard greens , sweet potatoes or candied yams

We have been dying to try the food at the place for a couple months now. We ordered 2 orders of Buffalo wings, 1 full rack of ribs, fries, and beans with corn bread. We split this between the 3 of us. I was dying to try the brisket, but they already ran out. I am always willing to try new BBQ places. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. You even get a free flavored water! I will say the food is good. The ribs are tasty and so are the chicken wings. However, the ribs don't fall off the bone as I expected. The fries were good. I personally wasn't a fan of the beans, but I am really not into beans anyway. I may stop by one more time to try the brisket.. it must be a good sign that they ran out, right??

A rare Friday off, and that always means a new restaurant experience. Cool little place with plenty of parking, smokers in the parking lot make an impression and nice bbq inspired art inside show pride. Friendly greeting and service. I chose "The Blue Pig" sandwich...tender pulled pork with great slaw, pickles and tasty "sweet heat" sauce. The bun was fluffy and good, but fell apart almost immediately...maybe a toasted bun would help? Oh...I forgot to mention the excellent hand cut fries!

Been trying to get to this place for some time now. Every time I ended up in the area when they were open, I was too late and they had sold everything. Now they have a whole new spot, bigger parking area, smoker right out in the parking lot is kinda weird but must be the only spot they can put it. I will say that I don't think I really like the way they do things here, it just feels so rushed and almost "Soup Nazi-ish". And it's a bit different from other places, like for some reason the ribs are separate and can't be part of a combo meal, but brisket can? I'm sure there's a supply and demand legitimate reason for that but it sucks for people like me because it's like "I don't know if I want a half rack right now" Ribs: Had very good rub, very good flavor of smoked pork, not too salty, these ribs are easily in the top 10 best ribs I've had. Wish I knew my spices better, looks like they might even use pepper flakes in their dry rub but if it is then it's not super spicy. Whatever it is, it's good. Little tough to cut into, bark was pretty thick. Brisket: Chopped and I didn't know that, I like it sliced so this was a little disappointing. Especially when places don't mind cutting up the brisket into cubes but they wont pre cut the ribs. It's like "HEY!?" Looked really good though, dark bark, juicy. It was super powerful taste though. Fat melted like fast butter, just the fat in between the meat, not so much the layer. Meat flavor could have been a bit more of a punch. Pulled Chicken: Not seasoned at all, just pulled chicken. Couldn't even taste the smoke. Worked out for me though because I could taste their sauces better with this bland chicken. Mac and Cheese: Seemed like they don't usually sell their mac and cheese just plain. That day they were advertising it like "Yeah, today it's brisket mac and cheese" like you are a dumb dumb if you don't get meat all over your mac. I asked if I could just have it plain and they all looked at me so I just did it with the brisket. And it was just hot bar at the grocery store style mac and cheese. Brisket didn't add anything. There was though a tiny bit of some red spice in there, barely could taste it though. Not goopy velveeta style, but frothy. Grandma's Beans: 3 or 4 different types of beans, gravy stuck to it real nice. Tasted like Amazing Baked Beans from Heaven. Appley, Cinnamon, Maple, Brown Sugar, Wow! Bean texture was perfect, Bean flavor was still there even though the other flavors are usually super overpowering. Sauces: Way too much to say so I'll just sum it all up. Pretty much all their sauces are obviously home made but they all have a real spicy kick to them. A little too much. Except for their peach sauce. Its more like a glaze, more like and apple sauce style, more like apricot flavored with some bourbon style taste to it. Really good, but I might just be saying that because it's different. But I liked it. Cornbread: Blown away by how flavorless it was. Like a sugarless thicker yellow cake. One other fun thing about them is that they have a frozen del's lemonade machine. Cant go wrong there. Watermelon flavored that day. All in all, not as great as I had hoped in most categories but knocked it out the park in others. Would still recommend to everyone.

Deep red walls, wide-plank floors, framed portraits of people long gone, a fireplace; this place has the kind of character you simply can't manufacture. Add a live jazz duo playing piano and upright bass in the corner and the atmosphere is close to perfect. We settled in at the bar, which has a decent whiskey selection, and started with cocktails. We also shared the kale and butternut squash salad; we asked them to add a goat cheese medallion from their spinach salad, and honestly it was the right call. That bright, creamy note was exactly what the salad needed...or maybe what I needed. I do love fried goat cheese on a salad. Either way, it was perfect. Then came the cranberry rolls, which were the quiet star of the afternoon; crunchy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside. Don't skip these. For mains, I had the breakfast skillet, which is essentially everything but the kitchen sink loaded into a cast iron pan. Heavily loaded with meat (Arby's would be jealous), homefried potatoes with satisfying crusty bits, a couple over medium eggs, and served sizzling hot. The cheese sauce draped over the top was lighter than you'd expect, landing somewhere between a béarnaise and a classic cheese sauce; it kept the whole thing from getting too heavy. It took a while to work through, and that's not a complaint. My partner had the butternut squash and brown butter sage ravioli. It was well-cooked, flavorful, not too rich, though a little more sage would have put it over the top. The bartender had a good sense of humor and clearly knew his way around the bar. The problem was that he was doing too much; he appeared to be his own bar back, serving the six people at the bar, waiting on the tables within the lounge area, and it appeared he was covering other tables outside of the lounge area as well. He was often away, and with salad plates, appetizer plates, and menus sitting in front of us long after they were needed, the clutter added up. Pre-bussing costs nothing and makes a real difference. Tighten up the staffing model and this place is a very easy five. If you're in the area, you should stop in and check it out for yourself. I'm not sure if the jazz duo on Sunday brunch is a regular occurrence, but if it is, you should definitely make a point of it. They were wrapping up around 2:30-3:00 and it made the whole afternoon feel like something a little more special than just brunch.

Nothing fancy. As it was, there were not many tables taken at that time yet. But within 30 minutes the place packed up. It was locals who know this is a the place to go, grab a beer or cocktail, then sit down and wait to see what you ordered. Burgundian is a meal to enjoy while having conversations with many others. We started with the IPA beers we ordered. They also had good German beers to select. There are even other European beers available. The list is endless to have. First up to arrive was our Traditional Canadian Poutine. This is House Fries served with Cheddar Cheese Curds, hot beef gravy and fresh scallions. This can be a meal unto itself and is ideal with the beer. We also received a kids meal for a little one. It was chicken fingers and fries. It was so large an adult could have had this for dinner. There was enough left for the next day's lunch. It was fresh, tasty, breaded, and warm. Ideal. There was also Burgundian App Sampler Platter. This was a mix of 2 Arancini, 2 Halloumi Cheese Sticks, 2 Crispy Polenta "Fries" , 2 Wings served with a choice of dips. Again, it could have been a dinner, but with others it was a good dish to share while waiting for the dinner to arrive. We started with US Staycation Burger, switching the beef with chicken. It had melty Three Cheese Blend, Shredded Lettuce , Pickles, and topped with Burgundian mayo. Naturally there was a side of fries and a small salad. It was fresh and tasty and had a flavor to enjoy. Naturally, had to have Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffles. Buttermilk-Fried Chicken Thigh coated in house seasoning. There was creamy Memphis slaw, a spicy sauce you can select and a good hot honey drizzle. The waffle was fresh and enjoyable and ideal for breakfast as well. This was perfect for dinner or breakfast or anytime of the day. One special they did have, and which is not easy to find, is a good Germany Burgundian Currywurst Sausage Dog. Made with a true grilled Knockwurst Sausage it is on a toasted roll that is topped with smoked gouda cheese and caramelized onions. There is curried ketchup which is a variation of what you do find when you order this in Berlin. It too had fries on the side. The taste was good. It was similar to what I remember when living in Germany. And it is a rare find in many restaurants. But here it was. And with a German beer, it was good. Overall, Burgundian is a place to find. It is not easy, but it is there. It is small and simple. You enter and order at the counter. You can go from Beer to a coffee. From an Appy to a meal. The portions are large. The prices are good. The team is good to work with, ask questions and help. This is not a fancy place, but they will take reservations. Your choice here. A true mix of flavors, and cultures, and ideas on what to have next. I will go back just for the Currywurst. Danke.

I know dishes like this are much more feasible though than having to care for cast iron. so the change made total sense. i'm not exactly sure how "homemade" the corned beef hash was though, but it was cooked up good. that was the whole reason why I used to get that dish because I love homemade hash. I've been a few times over the years and always remembered it as a solid local spot. My bagel sandwich was simple but good, and the dulce de leche latte was definitely on the sweeter side, but that was expected based on what I ordered. The biggest miss for us was the chicken and waffles. The waffle itself was actually really good, but the chicken was way too thick and underseasoned, so it completely overpowered the dish instead of balancing with it. There was also an overwhelming amount of butter on the plate that felt a little excessive. What really dropped the rating though was the coffee refill tasting burned. At a brunch spot especially, coffee feels like one of the easiest things to consistently get right, so it was disappointing when something that simple missed the mark. I really wanted to love the experience because the space has so much potential, but overall it just didn't fully live up to what I was hoping for.

RI food fights brought me in and you don't get access to the whole sandwich menu here, unfortunately you have to pick between their "Mushroom Bahn MI" and their "Screaming BLT". I went with the BLT since I wasn't feeling the vegan option. The description was "chili-hoisin glazed bacon | sliced tomato baby greens tomato jam | dill pickle pickled red onion chipotle aioli toasty thick-sliced white bread". Honestly, it was underwhelming. It had some tasty components but it was pretty average. The bacon was terribly weak. It was probably frozen precooked bacon that is heated and brushed with a hoisen glaze. I was hoping for some thick cut glazed almost candied bacon. Their avg. sandwich was around $16-17. If paying for that, I'd be left pretty disappointed. On top of that, it probably took around 35-40 minutes to get the sandwich. Again, pretty okay sandwich, the pickled onion, tomato jam and Chipotle aioli elevated things, but it's in vain with the bacon they use. Their other sandwiches sound good, so it's possible I'll visit to try them out at some point but can't see myself running back here after my impression with this BLT.
