We went on a Saturday and there was a line of about several people and the place had a good amount of people already inside. The line went through pretty quick and we were able to get a seat. The place is clean and they did a great job remodeling from the prior run down Wingers it was before. They ran out of ice on a busier warmer Sat but had some delivered while we were there. The burgers were good. Mac cheese was good (not Kraft). Beer Battered fries were delicious. An overall good greasy food joint. The staff was on their game with service and speed and we had our food in less than 10 minutes. For Tooele this place is 5 stars. Probably a high 3 low 4 if it was Salt Lake. read more

We came in Friday the 13th around 8:15pm. The service was ok, but this was the worst visit we have had with Chubbys. All 3 of our meals were burnt, flavorless and very messy?! I'm talking Mac and chess on the out side of our containers messy. I love going to Chubbys, but it feels like they are slipping down hill. Their food is very inconsistent?! My tenders were burnt to high hell! Our Chubbys cheese stake was un seasoned, and a compliment mess. There was more sandwich in the container then there was on the bun. I am done with Chubbys. Today my BLT had way too much Mayo and two little strips of bacon, and lettuce that was no longer good (slime spots). I scraped off over an 1/8 cup of Mayo and removed the lettuce. It still tasted like a Mayo sandwich. Fries tasted like old oil. My husbands Mac and cheese was old and dried out. It was just disgusting. They got good for a while, and started to slide down hill, but today was worse than ever. I think our table was washed with a dirty rag. Streaks and a grimy feel. Can't believe I let someone talk me into giving them another chance. WHAT IS IT WITH MUSTARD on my burger when I clearly stated Ketchup and Mayo only. The burger was about 1/3rd cooked, and the fries had the rigidity and warmth of summer socks. Unfortunately the socks had a less greasy stench to them. The first time I was there I asked for another burger well done, no mustard AGAIN, and fresh fries. This visit I asked for my check after a one bite sample of both the burger and fries. When the person saw my basket was only a couple bites shy of full not one word was said or solution was offered. We had baseball close to this place so we decided to stop in for dinner after. It was great! I had the southern crispy bbq chicken. The coleslaw, bbq sauce, and pickles on the sandwich were awesome compliments. The soft bun and perfectly fried chicken were the stars for me. Yumm! I chose scones for my side that came with the sandwich and I had expected to get one or two small scones, but instead got two good sized soft, warm very tasty scones with powdered sugar and honey butter. My friend and I were traveling through UT and had an overnight stop in Tooele. We had dinner here. It was great! Counter service, but they'll bring your food to your table. I had the BBQ Chicken salad with grilled chicken and jalapeño ranch dressing. My friend had the bacon guacamole burger with fries. My salad was good sized, mixed greens and iceberg with lots of chicken. Toppings included coleslaw, onion, and cheddar cheese. The jalapeño ranch was excellent, thick and made with purée jalapeños. Not too spicy, but just enough bite. My friend said the bun was good on her burger, there was plenty of guacamole and bacon. The bacon was thick cut and the patty meat was well seasoned. Her fries were awesome (I stole a few) and came out piping hot. The restaurant was busy, with brisk takeout traffic and plenty of patrons...large families or groups of workers. Went their for the first time and had the fish and fries. I was not impressed as there was very little flavor. Jim's restaurant fish was actually a little better. I've not tried any other items on the menu so have no opinion on the rest of their food. We were a little skeptical considering most of the items are fried, but it did not disappoint. I had the shrimp basket which was full sized, not popcorn, which is what I expected before ordering. Lightly breaded and very tender, not over cooked. Tartar sauce rivaled those I've had on either coast. My wife had the Carolina Chicken and said the breading was light and flavorful and the chicken was juicy. Not as busy as I expected for a new place in Tooele, so don't wait if you were worried about that. We will come back. Update: Back for another round. I had the halibut basket.
