We ordered for carryout, the food was okay, but the portions were small and the heat level was definitely NOT authentic Thai.

First, the good: it's a very clean restaurant. The Thai pop music is a nice touch. As for our visit, a listless young man chose to seat us next to the cash register when literally only one other table in the entire restaurant was occupied. We decided to sit somewhere else, which really annoyed him because he was rude and surly towards us for the rest of our visit. When he wasn't preoccupied with his mobile phone, that is. The food was spectacularly unremarkable, almost devoid of taste and texture, and drenched in oil (see photo). On the plus side, there was precious little of it to accompany the cold rice. It was almost entirely, but not quite, unlike Thai food. I would give this restaurant fewer stars, but the environment was nice, so there's that. read more

We tried to order a beer to start but they do not offer that. So ended up going with wine. Next up we ordered calamari for an appetizer and it was heavily breaded and came with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. That isn't a common dipping sauce and there is a reason for it. Marinara or a home special sauce is much preferred. Was tolerable after shedding most of the breading. The Pad Ka Pao was decent. But compared to other Thai places it simply did not add up. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because there are some issues with consistency of flavor. Don't go here at peak time. Weekend is risky. We made a call ahead order. When we got there we still waited quite a bit longer. But the curry is delicious! They are stingy on rice. Our go to spot when eating close to home when it's just hubby and me. My husband had tried many of the menu items and they have all been good, but his favorite is the crying tiger, whatever the dipping sauce for this dish is wonderful! Sweet and salty and the spice lever is adjustable (he gets level 2, which to me has a nice kick after a few bites). We got take out for my birthday since my daughter was sick. So I can only rate on the food itself. We ordered the pad Thai and it was just all right. This is my normally go to at thai places so I was a bit disappointed. My hubs got the yellow curry which he did say he really enjoyed. We also got the orange chicken and that was super interesting. My coworker and I were in the mood for Thai food. The only Thai restaurant we could find, in Tooele, was Thai House. When the server took our orders, he didn't ask how spicy we wanted our meals. I haven't been eating Thai food, for that long, so I didn't think about stating how spicy I would like it. When the food arrived, it was bland. You might think, ok, I'm in Tooele, how good can this *actually* be. Well, it's good. Not just Tooele good, but good good. Covid operations: the dining room is not opened as of June 25th, but takeout is available. They ask that you wear a mask for pickup. All employees are masked properly that I could see. We got takeout (naturally), they were very good about getting everything right with our order and packing us up with enough utensils. We ordered pad Thai, pork larb, pad see ew, yellow curry, chicken satay , fried rice and spring rolls. The clear winners were the pork larb and pad see ew. Close behind was the yellow curry, pad Thai and chicken satay. Spring rolls and fried rice came in last, not because they weren't good, they just didn't feel like they were out of the ordinary. The larb was my favorite. It was cooked differently than any other larb I've tried, but it was delicious. Great flavor and the meat was tender. Pad see ew had plenty of sauce (the way I like it) and the curry had a mild, yet full flavor. The pad Thai was ok, but could have used more sauce. Average. Tasty peanut sauce on the small salad plate makes me wonder if the regular chef is out 'cause that peanut sauce was perfect. Masaman curry is very plain in flavor, almost lacking. Fresh veggies, nice and crisp carrots, were a plus. Good quick service. read more
