Nice little spot! I crave Thai tea constantly and this is the best I've had in SLC since moving here! I've never had the rice in mango sticky rice before green, but I'm assuming it's normal and I just haven't had it before because it tasted fine! This place is so good! The Thai green curry is the bomb and I love the veggie egg rolls. I don't eat white rice, but they gave me steamed veggies instead. It is two meals for me! We got the food for take out and the food was prepared very quickly within the 15-20 min time frame that was provided. We didn't specify the spice level and therefore no spice was included. Order: -Pad thai: HUGE portion. Super generous and included the very classic ingredients of bean sprouts and topped with peanuts -Pad see ew: Good flavors and had wok hei (smokey flavor). There's a slight sweetness and it was enjoyable. -Papaya salad: Very refreshing and enjoyed the crunchy texture of the papaya. The veggies were nice to cut down on the carbs from the noodles. Let me just preface this by saying I am a flight attendant and have eaten Thai food in many places. Usually the same thing to find the best one lol but this place conveniently located 3mins from my house is one of my favorites, especially in SLC. I get the pas see ew and I get my husband the pad thai. Prices as far as eating out is standard, great for the amount of food given. Atmosphere is more hole in the wall and you can tell it's family owned. Otto (the owner) is fricken awesome and so nice and even though I've only been here a handful of times spanning several months, he remembers me. I so wanted to love this place but alas I can't say that. You order at the counter, and sit down and wait for them to call your name, pick up your food in all throwaway containers, and find a table. I don't love having to decide a tip when you haven't even tried your food. The papaya salad was really awful. Instead of shredded cabbage, it was just a hunk of cabbage that you couldn't cut with the plastic silverware. We ordered a "2" in heat for our dish based on the other reviews, and it had no spice at all. They don't have a kids meal menu so we ordered what we thought he would like - orange chicken. Hit and miss. I feel like I keep ordering "the wrong thing" here, but it's happened a few times. Usually I regret not choosing what someone else ordered that is slightly better and I am disappointed with my own meal. I got orange chicken, which was a large box full of tough, dry fried chicken with no apparent sauce on it, though when I dig down the the bottom there appeared to be a small amount of some clear, very liquid-y orange flavored stuff at the bottom. Not great. I also ordered thom kha gai soup, it was pretty good but I found the lemongrass much stronger, and the coconut milk much thicker than the other thom kha soups I've had in the past, it was tasty in an extremely strong way, but didn't sit too easily on the stomach. I tasted a little bit of "garlic meat" (beef, in this case) from the menu and it was pretty good. I have only ordered takeout from this location and the staff are always really friendly and the food is ready so quickly. DoorDashed the Pad-Khing with chicken (ginger, onion, and scallion in light garlic sauce) and Massaman Curry. For some reason I though the PK was a noodle dish, but it's a stir fry that comes with white rice, on the side. The only way I can describe the dish is something along the lines of Thai Sukiyaki - sweet, onion/green oniony and a bit salty, but with a ginger kick. Basically, you could take this broth straight from this dish, and do a hot pot, if you wanted. It's interesting, for sure. I love the green onion kick with every bite, and I'm confident A LOT of people like/will like this dish, but the ginger flavor kind of threw me for a loop. Maybe it'll grow on me. In the neighborhood to do some shopping and checked Yelp for a nearby restaurant. Saw the rating and just how close it was and we were sold. It's an unassuming little space with only 9 tables inside on the corner of a strip mall right near the 215 State street exit. Right next ti Get Some Guns & Ammo. We ordered from the lunch special menu. Started out with house salad (iceberg lettuce, carrots, onions and topped with Thai peanut sauce). I was wondering why there was something hot on the cold salad but it was scrumptious. Way to turn a boring salad into something yummy. I ordered the stir fried veggies with tofu in garlic sauce. Hubby ordered the beef massaman curry. Portions were just right. It came with a nice heaping scoop of Jasmine rice which is one of my faves and then a side bowl full of the main dish and a veggie roll. The veggies in my dish were cooked well with just enough cook to them (not too soggy not too crunchy). I loved the sauce. It was not overpowering at all and complimented the entire dish. The tofu was a little on the soggy side but still good consistency or I wouldn't have eaten it. I usually always get Pad See Ew at Thai places to use as my base for judging the food but it wasn't on the lunch menu and I didn't want a full dinner portion. I am so glad it was not on the lunch menu so I could branch out and try something new. The veggie roll was crisp and flaky and not too greasy. Overall thoroughly enjoyed every bite of my meal. Hubby said the curry was sweet but not overly so and it was a smooth dish. The meat was tender and delicious especially for a flank type steak, and he thought it was interesting they had potatoes in the dish but he loved it. It was exactly what he wanted for lunch and didn't even know what he wanted to eat when we were looking for a place! Service is great, bathrooms are clean, space is small but could fit a group if they put some tables together. If you are shopping at Fashion Place I definitely recommend stopping by and giving this spot a shot. read more

Hate to be the only one that wasn't in love with this place, but here it goes. Our 90 minute lunch with sub standard food wasn't that great. I don't know if it was the watered down curries, the deep fried pot stickers, the flavorless mango sticky rice. The tom kha gai (coconut soup) was also watered down and lacked flavor. There were only 3 tables and a server running the place, food came out very slowly and we weren't sure why? The best part of the meal were the egg rolls. Hoping it was just an off day for them.
