I'm not from here so I wanted to try something different. I got the Baja Bowl with chile lime chicken and everything on it. The bowl is very filling!! The servers were nice and welcoming. The ambiance was very casual. I'll definitely go back when I'm in town. read more

Costa Vida - Baja Bowl with chile lime chicken, all the way. - Mexican Near Me - Tooele, Utah

Good food. I look forward to coming here whenever I come to Utah. But the workers today seemed so annoyed and not enjoying their work. I don't expect them to LOVE being there but they don't need to make me feel depressed being here. read more

this place freaking sucked. I LOVE costa vida in draper and thought this would be the same. The environment here was awful. food was cold. and no ice machine working. parker at the register was so slow and so melancholy. he was like the sloth from zootopia. the scene made me feel judged. wobbly tables. miniature quesadillas. cold cinnamon tortilla and freezing food. I will never be visiting the toole costa vida and i do not recommend it here read more

Costa Vida - bad service. - Mexican Near Me - Tooele, Utah

Got a to go order that was super tasty! Bowls were super flavorful, good size for a single meal, and had a good balance of rice, beans, meat and cheese. Full on burrrito was very filling. Easy to order online! read more

Costa Vida - Baja bowl, grilled steak, no lettuce. Yum! - Mexican Near Me - Tooele, Utah

Costa Vida is our goto for fast food. It is easy to get a gluten-free, dairy-free meal - the bowls. Take-out is prompt. The app works well for us. We mostly visit the store at Foothill Plaza in Salt Lake. read more

At my job, we sometimes order from here. I am a vegan and know quite well, to make my order VERY specific. This place blows it every time. Then the PA has to go back and try again. I always wind up being sent a burrito with pinto beans and rice...no lettuce, pico, guac or sauce that is in my order. Is it just a bunch of stoned teenagers? Some old fart who thinks being vegan sucks? Whatever the case, this branch of Costa Vida is the worst. read more

Alexa was super helpful and kind and she recommended some great food she is probably the best worker there

They are the best! They always remember my order and are so friendly and helpful. Great experience

Food was ok. Beef was cooked medium which was nice. Service was good. We had a large order and they seemed to be well trained preparing the food read more

This letter was sent to Corporate on May 2, 2025. I have received no response. If you're looking to order catering, I would look elsewhere. To Whom It May Concern: I am writing tonight to express my deep disappointment and hurt caused by Costa Vida regarding our catering order for our Ballroom Banquet. For context, I have been a Ballroom mom for 6 years. I have attended many banquets in that time and this was the first year we decided to try catering. This was to be our final banquet as our baby is graduating this year. I hope you can imagine all the joy, excitement, anticipation, and sadness we are experiencing as parents. I have always been an active part in supporting our team, dedicating hundreds of hours over the years. So when Coach asked me to pick up the catering order she had placed a week earlier, which was scheduled to be ready at 5:30 pm last night, I was more than happy to. Our banquet was to start at 6 pm. Anxious to arrive on time, my husband and I arrived at Costa Vida at 5:20 pm. We were greeted by a cashier and I told her that I was there to pick up a catering order. She said o.k .and then moved toward the back, as if she was going to get the food. A few minutes later, she came back to the front and gestured to a man whom we assume was a manager. He informed us that they had just received the order 10 minutes before and that it would be another 15 to 20 minutes before the order was ready. He offered us two free drinks while we waited. About 30 minutes later, they began giving us containers of food to take to our car. My anxiety that we were going to be late to, and miss important parts of, our last banquet with our son began to grow. Bit by bit, we were brought containers of dressing, pico, salsa, lettuce, guacamole, beans, chicken, and sweet pork., etc. to put in our car. At about 6 pm, I sat down and cried. I was missing special awards [and recognitions]. Finally at 6:17 pm, more than 45 minutes after the order was supposed to be ready, we were handed the last of the containers and a sheet to sign saying that all the food we received was at temperature. Frankly, all of the food was probably at temperature when they gave it to us and told us to put it in our car. But as a lot of it sat for a half hour or more, it certainly wasn't at temperature anymore. I was more than done with the experience though, so I signed the paper and left. The manager did give us a couple of bags of chips and some queso for our trouble. I don't know who dropped the ball here. I don't know if it was a computer glitch, a bad corporate policy, neglect on the local staff's part, or what. All I know is that I missed a significant portion of a really important night for my son and myself. I can't get that back. Costa Vida needs to fix this problem and do better. Otherwise I'm taking my business elsewhere... I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Phyllisa Conlin read more

The prices have tripled and the amount of meat has been cut in half. $11.00 for one steak taco with a few pieces of meat is highway robbery.

Watered down salad dressing? No thank you. Skimpy portions, tasteless fillings, pile of wet lettuce= swampy meal. This place has gone downhill. read more

the food was overall ok. however I went in earlier the room was disgusting. there was not a single table clean and we had to clean them off ourselves. While we were cleaning our own table off the staff were taking selfies and not being shy about it. all including the shift lead. it was very unprofessional and upsetting because the lobby was disgusting. read more

My family and I have been to establishment many, many times throughout the years. The food has always been great. However, thanks to COVID and very shortly after inflation; prices have gone up, quantity has gone down along with quality. Since then my family and I haven't been there as often. If they stepped up their game like it was once before we would frequent there again and probably a lot more people as well. read more

Food, playlist, and service had me vibing. Shift manager Damion carried the experience. He was incredibly considerate and every basic white girl loved the T-swift song queue. read more

Burrito was pretty good but the Horchata was absolutely disgusting, everywhere else has better.

Very disappointing. Went in at 8 pm. The line took over 20 minutes to make our way through. When we got to order, they were out of some items and low on others. As we stood in the front of the line waiting to order, we noticed they were making phone in orders before serving guest that were onsite. The order taker then proceeded to tell us we needed to wait longer for the cashier to ring up (catch up) the online orders they had just filled that no one was waiting for. Husband had nachos with beans he didn't like because they were out of black beans. I had a bowl. There was very little rice (they were low on that). The portion size was so small I thought I had gotten a kids meal. We will try Cafe Rio in the same parking lot the next time. read more

I have always been a cafe rio fan but in Tooele Costa Vida slaps them in the face with Service, quality of food and plan old friendly people . Way to make it great Costa Vida . read more

Costa Vida - a plate of mexican food with a fork - Mexican Near Me - Tooele, Utah

It's hard to even know where to begin. I had ordered a Sweet Pork Salad to go. Normally a large salad is not only full, but heaping full. My salad barely reached the top of the tin! They could have put a flat lid on it because it was not heaping at all. It had minimal meat as well as minimal everything else too & did not even have a tortilla! WTH?? Nor any cilantro, no lime wedge, or any cheese sprinkled on top! Worst portion size ever! Felt completely ripped off but didn't want to drive all the way back to deal with it. Can't see returning to this Costa Vida, ever. Cafe Rio might cost a tinge more but it's well worth it! read more

Usually I have nothing but a good experience with costa Vida, today that changed. Two item order, how difficult could it be!! Sweet pork burrito black beans rice smothered and a sweet pork burrito refried beans and NO rice. And you mix up to no rice burrito with the one that should of had rice! Now I'm having to order different food for someone who has food allergies. read more

Terrible service called and they wouldn't answer the phone. When I arrived they wouldn't take my order and told me to my face that I would have to call. When I told him I already called he said They were busy and I would have to call back. They were just sitting there doing nothing and content to continue doing just that. Just sad. read more

Honestly, I'm not happy with the service here. First off, I dont understand why they close at 7:30 on Sunday. Secondly, I walked in at 7:28 on Sunday, not realizing the early hours and there were other people in there, the sign was on, I thought I could grab some nachos and leave. Apparently not! There was an employee going to turn off the sign and stopped me from getting in line and said "ma'am, we're closed" and they wouldn't serve me. I dont think this is fair. read more

They need to work on their customer service and portions. I ordered a small chicken salad and she put 5 pieces of chicken. The serving was ridiculous. I won't be back because this should be addressed. Portions and what is being charged don't match. Customer service is lacking! read more

Not the best way to spend our discretionary money tonight. We should have gone to Cafe Rio. Manager stood behind all the minions - arms folded - and watched them struggle to get orders right. Out of lettice - which is fine - something about the CDC etc. But then they were out of soda and apparently cleaning supplies as we could not find a table that was clean enough to sit at. They still gave us cups and charged us for the full combo price .... It's just hard to use them when there is no SODA POP! Where has good management gone ? It would have been more appropriate to tell everyone before they ordered that there was no SODA or offer a discount or coupon or something .... Anything ! Oh well. Cafe Rio from now on. read more

Costa Vida - a woman ordering food at a restaurant - Mexican Near Me - Tooele, Utah

I have always liked this fresh mex place. We have made a habit of going there about once a week. Lately we have not been satisfied. The service is poor. Nearly everyone working there is new. Prices are up and the portions are down. I just had two enchiladas and they put about one ounce of chicken on each one. This meal used to be hardy and is now skimpy. We ordered the medium size cup of guacamole and they only filled it to about 35%. Costa Vida, do better or you wont see us. read more

So this is our 2nd time here AND with a week. Which means we liked it that much to return so soon. Tooele restaurants are hit & miss so we're happy to have found a decent place finally. It's pretty much chipotle style where you tell them what you want on your plate. I had the sweet pork tacos last week and sweet pork enchiladas today. Both Tuesday's specials which include a drink. They're worth a try if you haven't already. read more

Had lunch in the Tooele Costa Vida. The Queso was amazing. The restaurant was a little had to find out with it. Veronica the manager is amazing. I was looking for a gluten free meal and I found it. Must try the nacho's. read more

I will NEVER go to another costa vida!! I have complained to my gf about their portion size before. I paid $10 for 2 tacos that have less meat on them than a street taco stand! I am not kidding! I would pay $5 tops for this meal! I will not be back!! This is the exact same reason Bajio went out of business state wide!! read more

Hands down the best 11/10 recommend the sweet pork burrito from there with mild sauce smothered ur welcome

Friendly staff and great food! The Sweet Pork burrito from here is my absolutely fav!

I have always been a fan of Costa Vida, but after going there on November 28, 2021, I will not be back!! First off, they have people making your food with hair hanging in their face. Then, another employee was popping their zits, and then making our food. Being completely grossed out, my husband asked to cancel our online order we placed, (which wasn't ready when we got there), and the employee didn't know how do to do it. The manager wouldn't come out of the back room to help anyone with the computer system either. So, we left with a hand written note saying that they will refund us back our $28 we already paid, and that never happened. I called the location a few days later, and left my name and number so the manager would call me back, and they never have!! So, now I was charged $28 for food I never received!!! I will not be back, and I have disputed the charge with my credit card company. I don't know if it's under new management, but just like every other business in Tooele, they don't care, so neither do I!!! I won't be back, and I suggest you eat somewhere else!!! read more

Great food! Love their salads. Cheaper than Cafe Rio. Can't go wrong with chips and salsa.

I was not impressed with the food or service. I really like Cafe Rio's food more, but I here the service there has gone downhill as well.

Great Service tonight! The line was short and quick and our salads were made to order! (You gotta get the steak salad, it's the best!) I really love that there are different salad size options and you aren't forced to get more food than you can eat. I will definitely be going back, because I do, about once a week. read more

Although the grilled chicken wasn't as delicious as I was hoping, it's the only thing that didn't exceed my expectations. I'm a big fan of Cafe Rio salads and the salad I got at Costa Vida is the guiltless version. Very tasty, fresh ingredients, clean store, and great service! read more

FOOD IS SO GOOD!!!!! Im going there all the time!!!! I can't get enough!! I feel so full and healthy after I leave also! Not to mention I get sides of their meat and pico to go and use it in my dinners at night so I don't have so much to cool for the family, it's the greatest thing ever! My work also uses them to cater all the time and its all of our favorites when they do! Everyone loves the food at our office and they even deliver and the price is way CHEAPER than anyone else! I am their biggest fan I swear! read more

I've always had a great experience when visiting this costa vida. The food is always well prepped and tastes delicious. I also like the fact that the food is always consistent. This sits right by a cafe rio and I'm sure it blows that place out of the water! The price is fair, but I've noticed that they tend to run out of desserts often. The service is great, and the one time they messed up our online order the manager on staff comped our next meal and apologized. Highly recommend over the cafe rio next door! read more

Sweet pork nachos are my absolute favorite! Awesome, friendly staff makes it even better.
