Honestly it's gone to complete shit.. while working there a few years there was a bad water leak next the breaker... corporate said they couldn't fix it because they would have to shut the store down for 6 months and that would cut into revenue turns out it was a pipe that drained water from the roof had a crack. The buns were stale, the chicken was made this afternoon, the burger patties were dried out, fries were dead (so dead they needed a funeral...and they got one) and stuck together, I ordered extra onions....no onions, I could literally see through my tomato (congrats on that persons scalpel skills), your Diet Pepsi bib needed to be changed yesterday, but thanks for that extra green leaf lettuce!!! I have flipped many a burger in my years and to be honest, it's not that hard of a job, so I don't understand why my food is inedible...WHY?!?!?! If I order a burger from somewhere, it's not because I can't cook, it's because I don't feel like it. Was it because I used a food delivery service? Aside from how they treat their employees.. there's mold in their walk ins in their locations, they pre-cook food and let it sit for hours claiming it's made to order, they run a skeleton crew expecting them to do the work of 2-3 people each, overwork their management (and don't provide adequate training or offer proper support to them). Rather than taking the time and resources to help the manager improve they demote them or fire them. They expect 100 hours a week on an unlivable salary. I could go on. The tooele location used to be great. It's gone to hell. Unsure what the owner is trying to prove, but all he's done is screw up with this location the last couple years. The food? Gross. Old. Being told to cook through boxes of brown smelly meat rather than toss it to save money.. then reprimand when a complaint comes through. Unattainable expectations for the crew and they set everyone up for failure. Not to mention the "tipping" thing being a way around providing livable wages to the hourly employees. Michael.. do better. your locations conditions (and corner cutting to keep pocketing money for yourself) is tarnishing the name of your brand. Used to be great but now? It's clear it's only about a profit for you and you could care less about your people. To demote one person based off bulls*** drama and lies; not try to help them improve, not doing anything to help the success of the location... then turning around and screwing over the person you replaced them with for someone who's running the place into the ground.. shame on you. I have lived in Utah all my life. Not quite sure when I started eating at Apollo burger. Hate to say this, but the last 10 years it has went downhill and today was the worst. They don't even have their signature fry sauce. The burgers are not good anymore. Barely any meat, their signature shredded lettuce. They do not do anymore. I do not believe they will be in business much longer? Because the quality is not there. Also, their signature Euros suck 2. I ordered the halibut platter tonight, it took a lot longer than it should have to come out and when I opened the box, I had 3 tiny overcooked fish sitting among a pile of fries. I mean McDonald's nuggets are bigger! When I asked the girl that took our order what was going on, she said that was all that was left and there wasn't anything she could do. Well my husband wasn't having it, we didn't pay $12.50 for such poor food! The guy that helped at the counter said he would look into it and came out with a new bag of fish from the freezer, so not all they had, just lazy workers. Again it took forever to get the food to us and when he came back with my new order, the fish looked better but was still tiny! When did Apollo change their fish vendor? I really enjoyed the food here. Sadly it's super expensive for what you get. My biggest gripe is the teenagers making the food. I patiently watch them cook burgers and Gyros on the grille-- no gloves is fine... but itching body parts (head, back, face, etc) while cooking is gross. It's probably good that I don't work for the FDA. I imagine many fast food locations are in violation of Some Health code-- Apollo step up your game. read more

Probably the best burger place in Tooele. I love their Bacon Cheeseburger quite a bit, and their fries are to die for. Every time go over there, the people at the counter are always very nice, and the price's are reasonable. The time you have to wait is not too bad, and it is worth it. We ordered food from Apollo Burger today. When my husband picked up the order he asked where the milkshake was that he had ordered and paid for. The worker told him that the milkshakes were awful. He asked for his money back. He was told that the manager wasn't in so they couldn't refund his money. All he could do was order something else on the menu for the equivalent price. When he got home with our food the halibut fish sandwich, I ordered was way over cooked. it was dry and rubbery. I could only eat a few bites before throwing it away. I've always enjoyed Apollo Burger in Salt Lake and Bountiful. I decided to try Apollo Burger in Tooele. When I pulled up, I thought it was closed. No cars in the entire parking lot. I should have maybe taken that as a sign. I was the only customer they had and while there for almost 45 minutes, they didn't have any other customer besides myself. I ordered the Apollo Burger combo. I was shocked when the total came to almost 20 dollars! I was a little surprised when I went to go sit at a table that there were a number of tables that needed to be cleaned or maybe cleaned better...greasy and crumbs on some of the tables. When I finally got my order, I was very disappointed. The pastrami that they used for my burger was the paper thin pastrami that comes in the cheap packages you buy in the cheap meat section of the store. The portion of pastrami was so little I almost decided to take it back and ask for a refund. At least the fries were hot. I tried to pump the fry sauce from the fry sauce dispenser and it came out dry and clumpy. No thanks! To say I was incredibly disappointed and not at all satisfied with the food and the amount I paid, would be an understatement. I will not be going back nor would I recommend this to anyone. We have visited Apollo Burger several times over the years and not much has changed except for the fries in one of the salt lake locations. Hopefully this doesn't happen in Tooele. On our last visit there was a new atmosphere in the Tooele location, we ordered our food and this young lady named Tera delivered it. She was the happiest server (not sure what to call it at apollo burger) we have ever seen. She came by a few times filling our drinks and getting us napkins etc. We have never experienced this at a fast food place and it was truly a joy and much nicer than the norm. I am normally a fan of Apollo Burger but this location is AWFUL! First Try I went through the drive up and ordered 2 gyros....out of pita bread. Okay......Went somewhere else. Second try, went in and ordered two sandwiches. (Note: they weren't busy) While waiting tried to get fry sauce, empty. Friend told counter guy and went to wash ketchup off his hands and I tried to find a clean place to sit. Lots of empty tables with trash on them. Found one with a tray and wiped it off the best I could with napkins. My friend came out and told them they were out of soap and paper towels in the bathroom. Asked for a napkin to dry his hands. Was told napkins only on the tables. (Really?) Luckily they replaced the fry sauce. Brought us our sandwiches, not the sandwich I ordered and my friends was cut haphazardly. Let it go.
