I am by no means a crepe enthusiast, but man it was yummy. The owner and employee were so kind, friendly, and patient with my toddler who wanted to talk to them and go behind the counter. Turned out the barista also has a toddler a similar age, so she gets it. It's a simple setup with some seating, but not a ton. I'm not sure a ton of seating is needed, to be honest. It was clean and has aluminum chairs, so if you're looking to kick back and stay a while, this may not be the best fit. I'd absolutely come back for both the crepe and the coffee. Make your way over here, friends!

FYI - it's located in a building called "The Shed" which is a separate business housed in the same location. It looks like they plan on this area being an all inclusive community with trails, a coffee shop to work and study (includes internet paid into it by the community) and other activities. I like the layout - it's spacious, plenty of seating and clean. Lots of window and it has a great view of the mountains to the west. Staff was nice. I ordered an Americano. I judge the coffee based on, well, the actual coffee rather than the foofy sugary/sweet drinks which masks the real coffee flavor. The Americano was almost average and very watered down. It also had an odd sour taste which is either how they brew it or the type of bean being - either way I didn't like it. We also ordered "The Cowboy" breakfast sandwich. It was okay - could've used more egg and it also had a spiciness that I wasn't expecting. Overall a nice place in a nice location - but the food and drink are lacking.

The staff is friendly and kind. Answered all my questions. The area is being built up, there is plenty of seating inside and out, I got vanilla latte and a cowboy sandwich on sourdough Latte- tasted like brewed coffee with creamer. Nothing special. I asked them to do half of the vanilla they add because I don't like it too sweet and this wasn't too sweet but didn't taste great or amazing. The sandwich was ok. I wish there was little bit more egg. It was little spicy for me with the chipotle. My husband said his coffee didn't taste great. Had a sour/bitter after taste. Maybe I'll try the other location.

I came in this morning to hang while the carpet layers were putting in new carpet at my place. Big, comfortable, warm atmosphere (it's December as I write this) and the best two people behind the counter I've encountered in a while. They even helped me get logged onto the WI Fi because stupid xfinity kept taking over my computer (what's new, eh?). The music...better even than the coffee shop channel on Sirius. I just couldn't be happier. I'll be walking over every morning for a while. To err is human, to forgive divine, and this place really feels divine

My Breakfast Partner had the AvocadoToast with Veggies and Egg. ($8.00). It too was Prepared, Presented and Served with the same Professional Care and Presentation that I had with my order. Malu Ixel is definitely worth the time, travel, price and consideration. Again a Local Business Coffee Shop that deserves the business and support. The two women who own it and run it were so nice, friendly and very attentive. The inside is super cute! There is plenty of seating, and a clean bathroom. And they add new items regularly. We tried the strawberry crepe (so many fresh strawberries, mouth-wateringly delicious), the breakfast burrito with a side of yummy green sauce and chips), the carinito latte (cinnamon, caramel and vanilla. So much cinnamon... it was truly heavenly), a matcha, and a peanut butter cocoa. They brought it to out table and cleaned it up. (Not an actual sit down and server style.) They used fancy looking silverware and everything had a lovely presentation that made me feel special. We will definitely come back!! We want to try everything!!! Looking forward to the Chilaquiles, Pacheco, quesadilla, and various unique coffees. Come give it a try, you will not be disappointed!!! (The area may be a little off to the side and out if the way. There were not many options even open on a Sunday morning in the area of Day Break where we were located. We almost didn't even go in here because, from the street, this location looked closed. The crisp cold temps kept everyone indoors so I am really glad we double checked the front door, because we would have missed out on a hidden gem of a spot! We got there early enough that there was only one person working, which initially wasn't an issue, but as our visit went on, a line formed, and I even put back, on the shelf, an intended purchase of coffee beans because I wanted to visit more than I wanted to stand in a line. I ordered an iced Americano with sugar free Hazelnut and a splash of half and half to drink and a Pesto Grilled Cheese on Sourdough to eat. I knew it would be an easy food item to take any leftovers on the plane. Although the indoor space had enough seats for this particular morning visit, I am not sure how well it seats everyone on a typical morning rush. The outdoor space would be my preferred seating location but only when it is warmer temps so I definitely plan to come back and stay longer. The vibe is super chill, the flavor of the coffee was strong and rich, nothing bitter or burnt and we all found something we loved to both eat and drink. Dogs are definitely welcome too and I can see this coffee house becoming a neighborhood favorite very quickly! I wish I had stuck it out and waited in line as I'd love to make a batch of cold brew coffee from their beans now that I am back home in California! Maybe next time!
