They hide their prices on the drive-thru menu by putting tape over them and they nickel and dime you for everything without telling you they're charging extra for it. They don't even give you an itemized receipt unless you ask for it (probably so they can hide all the extra charges and you'll never know). They already charge 50 cents for any additional sauce to begin with, but they charged $1.50 more for every "cheese burger" I requested shredded cheddar cheese on instead of the American cheese it came with due to the "extra effort" it takes. Then they charged 59 cents to add extra pickles on each burger essentially making the $4 kid-sized cheese burger $5.59 (with only 3 pickles on each burger to boot). Absolutely NOT worth it, as $4 is steep enough of a price to pay for that. Then they neglected to include fry sauce with the onion rings ordered, to which for $5, we got only 6 onion rings at that (3 large and 3 small) -- absolutely NOT worth it with an average of $1 per onion ring!!! It's surprising they don't charge you for the napkins and bag they put it in! In addition to that, they are the SLOWEST "fast food" joint that needs to be name "slow food" since they do not know the definition of what "fast" means! Needless to say, we will not be patrons of this rapacious place. They are way over-the-top too stingy and greedy to support! read more

Dairy Delight is located just west of Tooele's Main Street, at 46 W 100 S. There's parking in the back, on the north side. My young adult kids both ordered the Grub burger combo meals, which they loved. My husband got the green chile burger, and he raved about the chilies on top. Very happy. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger. Delightful. Every one of us was very happy with our meals. They were fantastic. Good quality ingredients. No skimping on anything. Cooked to perfection. The combo came with a drink and choice of French fries, English chips, or tater tots. I opted for the tots and enjoyed them with delicious fry sauce. While my kids gobbled their fries, they said my tater tots were the best side option. It's worth noting that they do not have free drink refills, so we took off the lids and sipped the drinks. We opted to stay and order in the restaurant, because when we drove into the parking lot, there were seven cars in the drive thru line, which I feel says a lot about the quality of their food. I figured nobody's going to wait that long in Tooele for a burger unless it's damn good. Yep, Dairy Delight's burgers were great. If we're ever out this way again, I'm coming back to Dairy Delight to try yet another delicious burger. I'd also like to try their yummy looking milk shakes. :) read more

This place came highly recommended from a buddy. He said I had to get the Old-fashioned bacon and cheese burger. When it showed up in a huge silver wrapped package, I was curious about what I had ordered. Unwrapping this mystery revealed a massive hamburger with a fat patty and enormous flavor. It did not disappoint. I also gave the tigers blood Mr Misty a go. Creamy tigers blood slush was yummy! The environment was fun. Service was great. I'll be coming back! read more

they treat there staff so bad and only favorite people in there family's or friends they treat employees unfairly, and dont give break out unless its the favorite. I know someone who worked at dairy delight in tooele the manage Shannon , the person i know had 0 breaks the entire time they worked there and they payed them 10 a hour and only 6 buck in 2 weeks in tips while the family members get 25 in just a few days. The manager is rude to staff unnecessarily over small things like writing out the name instead of abbreviating it. read more

We ordered taco salads and salad dressing didn't come with it. You could either purchase a dressing for $.50 or trade in the guacamole or sour cream. That's pretty cheap of them to do that. You'd think salads would come with dressing but guess not! Also, don't get the halibut "dinner" if you're hungry- it's a halibut "snack". read more

I'm changing my review score from what I posted a couple years back. My biggest complaint was about not having free water, not even for someone who had already purchased a drink. but I noticed that they have added a water cooler on the counter with free cups for anyone that wants water. Shannon the owner seemed to think a raised voice is yelling. When you have to go back because your drink literally tastes lukewarm onions because they cut the limes with an onion knife- you're not going to be happy and serenade her. She had a problem with accountability and hearing. Then the second order they gave her carbonated water without even the taste of a lemon and it's no big deal that they messed up twice just fine back and they'll fix it so what if they made a mistake. She says she's the owner of everything and if I want my money back I can go get it but she direct care I worked 11 hours and thinks it shouldn't be a big deal to go back a third time and I'm not welcome there anymore and I can go pick up cash if I want because they can't refund my card back. Multiple trips fur their errors and lack if accountability mean nothing to her. Don't you think if someone is there a second time they should double check their machines? This place was just meh. Super hot inside, food is pretty expensive and not big portions and you also can't refill your drink, have to buy a whole new soda. I didn't get the hype to be honest, wouldn't come back there are better places to get a burger. read more

Have heard on Facebook that these guys have good ice cream and shakes. They don't allow being to sit in and dine but the drive through is open and they do take out. It took a little bit waiting in line but I think that is because they make it fresh. I decided to go and try them out. The shakes are good. It is nice to have a place to go when you really want one and don't want to drive in to salt lake. The lady made my shake when I got to the window so it was fresh made and not sitting there while I was in the drive through. Will be getting another in the future. read more

This place As a little hidden away, off of the main drag through town. So until now only the locals knew about it. Went to Dairy Delight a few weeks back. You've got to know it's there because you won't see it from the main road! I always enjoy these Mom and Pop shops, where you really know what you're getting yourself into: nothing fancy, but instantly brings back memories of hitting up the local burger joint as a kid. The food was great, though I thought I was ordering a family size fry when we actually just ordered a normal. There were a lot of people behind the counter but no one paid us much attention for a minute or so until someone came to take our order. That's the reason I'm dropping it down a star. I had heard about this place from someone that heard from someone that grew up there and made a special trip on a saturday from Salt Lake just to try it out. Some others complaints do not make sense. This is a Mom & Pop Shop, you are not going to get fancy tables with updated decore. You are going to get whatever they had in the owners home when they opened up. I like to look for these places for the food. You want atmosphere, go somewhere else. What I was truely dissapointed in however, was that I had to pay $0.75 for a refill and $0.25 for a tablespoon more of fry sauce. Times are tight at Dairy Delight. Other than this, I think the place was just fine. I finished the burger, posted a photo on Yelp so check it out. (I hadnt eaten all day). Even if you can ound that burger, I do not suggest it. I ordered a double cheeseburger and tots, thinking that if these can be done well, it would be worth coming back to try something else. The burger wasn't bad, just nothing to write home about. Such POOR customer service! Over priced for what your getting. The food is pretty good, it's kinda of average. I think they need an update, in there attitude and their restaurant, you can keep the "vintage" vibe and scenery with and updated computer and a damn smile. The food is good, not great, but in Tooele good seems to be good enough. It is always fresh, and the fries are very good. This restaurants bread and butter has to be the shakes. You can have just about any combination you can dream up, and they are all AWESOME. My main complaint is only due to their reaction to covid, and keeping the dine in area closed while almost everyone else is open with restricted seating. It is their business, their choice, but as a person who is almost always on his motorcycle, drive-up is an almost impossible option, and their drive up is a long wait. So we go through the drive through order our food and leave. We get home nearly everything was wrong, so we go back and right away the manager is combative she blames everything on us but doesn't even let us finish talking, she says "I'll just give you your money back." As she tries to hurry us out. So I say "thanks for the customer service." And then the yells "don't come back." So in closing I'll say while the food is generally pretty good when they get it right, they rarely do. And the customer service is horrible. I don't understand why this place only has 3 stars on here. I love the atmosphere of this establishment. It was clean and the decor was pretty cool. My family and myself had a very good experience here. We got the 4 ranch burgers which came with a family sized fry and two 32oz sodas for only $19.99. The food did take a minute to make which is always a good sign in my opinion. The food came out hot and fresh. We had to try the fried pickles, breaded mushrooms and a super foot long hot dog. My first time to Dairy Delight. I went there for a late lunch with some business associates. The place was pretty much empty when we walked in with 10 people. It seemed like it took an excessively long time for them to bring out the food. I had a 1/4 pound burger and fries. No complaints about either of them. The fries were hot and crisp. The burger was tasty. One person had the BIG 1/2 pound burger. Don't do it unless you have someone to help you eat it. His complaint was that the meat didn't go to the edge of the bun so you ended up with a mouthful of bread before you got to the good stuff. Another guy had a salad. He didn't say much about it, but it looked like a fairly small salad for a meal. The restrooms were clean and well maintained. The staff was pleasant. The dining are could have used a bit of attention. The tables we sat at were a bit sticky. The menu above the counter has a significant amount a variety. I think anyone could find something to eat there. Main gripes do you really have to charge me 25 cents for extra fry sauce? Why not just put it out so I can get how much I want? Add a ketchup pump. You gave me one small napkin with my order. I had to go searching for another one. Also, it is a bit old fashioned to keep the drink machine behind the counter. Is someone taking an extra nickle's worth of soda really a good exchange for extending trust and good will to your customers? Bottom line: I may go back again, but I don't think it will become a regular lunch spot when I'm in Tooele on business. read more

Let me tell you, if my wife likes this place, it's good. The reviews are up and down, so I was a bit fearful about going, especially reading about the waiting time... but the wait wasn't as bad as others make it out to be. 20 minutes or less for freshly made food is not bad to me. If the wait time bothers you, call ahead and it'll be ready when you get there. The staff was nice. She's had the giant cheese burger both times we've gone there and LOVED it. She actually made two meals from one burger, it's that big!!! I tried the cheese steak, it was terrific. I also tried the patty melt, also wonderful. The "chips" fries are the best, why more places don't do these types of potatoes is beyond me. So, in conclusion, call ahead to lessen the wait time if that's an issue. This is a plane AWESOME local burger joint in Tooele (with more than just burgers). Their specials are real specials, not something to ditch the old food. The English Chips are a great variation to regular sides. And the Lime Ricky drinks, one of their great signatures. The place is also decorated with a video game or two, a jukebox and cards at the tables, plenty to do while your food is being carefully prepared. The milk shake selection is just incredible. Real ice cream flavor, not powdered mix. Lots of flavors and toppings to choose from. I like the peanut butter shake. Seeing as I would give Five Guys a five star rating, and I think this place is better, yelp should tack on one more star so I can properly rate it. read more

Best burgers in Tooele by far! We moved out to Tooele in July 2013 and tried every single burger offered in town. My husband and I like to consider ourselves burger snobs. We love Dairy Delight. They have giant burgers if you're really having a hankering. They also have Buffalo Fries, which are my favorite. French fries topped with cheese, bacon, BBQ and ranch dressing.
