I always bring my own food into Angel Stadium because the vegan options are few and far between. I was able to try chronic tacos for the first time this trip though and it was very tasty. There isn't anything listed on the menu as vegan or vegetarian, however, upon asking, the rice and beans are plant-based as is and they substituted guacamole in place of the chicken. The bowl was a good portion and filled with beans, rice, lettuce, pico, and guac. They also gave sides of salsa. Ideally, they would put something vegan on the menu and have more options like potatoes or veggies to get instead of the animal. I enjoyed it for what it was though! read more

Horrible!!!!! Chronic Tacos at Angel Stadium in Anaheim should be ashamed of themselves for fleecing the poor people at Angel Stadium by providing substandard food at super high prices. They offer only one meat here - Chicken. That's it! All they have at this location is chicken! They don't even have beans or rice so don't bother coming here if you're a vegetarian. Also the chicken was the low quality pieces that'd you'd feed your dog! For the chicken tacos they only have 3 potential toppings: cheese (super processed straight out of the bag - not even melted), lettuce and guacamole. That's it! They didn't even have any salsa!!!! And I got my food in the top of the 3rd inning (for you non baseball people there are 9 innings ---18 sub-innings if you count top and bottom innings----) so my point is that less than a third of the way into the game on a Friday night there should have still been more food options - like salsa! No salsa, no beans, no rice Only tasteless chicken tacos! After standing in the long line I was soooooo disappointed! How does a Mexican restaurant not have any salsa?!!? No salsa, no hot sauce, no pico de gallo! So bland!!! Also the tortillas the tacos came on were STALE! Horrible! I'm at Angel Stadium and I waited in a long line to get nachos at chronic tacos here. IFirst off, I said I was allergic to jalapeños please no jalapeños. They put jalapeños on them. Once I got them to remake them I sat down to eat them and the first 3 bites I took had a literal piece of hair in it. Major disappointment. 3 items on the menu and none of them TACOS! Chicken burrito, chicken Bowlrito, and nachos in a helmet for just under $19. Maybe it was because it was the first day after Covid restrictions were lifted but this didn't seem like the Chronic I had heard about. The bowl and burrito were not only overpriced, even by Stadium standards but the food was extremely bland. They give you a minuscule cup of salsa to try and give it any hint of flavor. The one BONUS I did receive was a jagged chicken bone fragment in my burrito which I luckily bit down on before it shredded the inside of my mouth. Shredding is only good in rock and roll guitar and cheese in my book. I've had their nachos here before and they were okay but $19? Shouldn't someone named Wolfgang be serving it for that price? Who says you can't get a ridiculously HUGE burrito with delicious fillings for under $10. They have a few options including a taco salad, tacos, nachos and burritos. They offer chicken, steak and pork. My burrito was filled to maximum capacity with pinto beans, carnitas, rice and all the additional toppings you can fit. I'd recommend the red and green sauces, plus some pico de gallo. If you are at the Angels park, I'd recommend you take down one of these burritos. read more

You'd think the folks running a taco stand in southern California would have heard of vegetarians. Failing that, you might expect they'd have at least the deductive reasoning skills God gave to the stoner high school kids at your friendly neighborhood Taco Bell. I know I've been to a Chronic Tacos before, and it was good, but I don't remember what I had. So I asked an employee when I got to the front of the line if she knew whether the beans and/or rice were vegetarian. She told me there was chicken stock in the rice. "No lard in the beans?" I ask. "No," she said, "just water." So far, so good. I thanked her and asked for a burrito with no meat or rice. "So, just beans?" she said. "Well, beans and the rest of the stuff it comes with--" She passes my tortilla to another employee, who asks if I want rice. "No," I tell him. "No rice, no meat." "She wants a burrito with just beans," the first employee tells him. "Well, no, I just want a veggie burrito," I clarify. He puts a scoop of rice on my tortilla. "No rice, please," I remind him. "No rice?" He looks at me, confused. "Because there's chicken stock in it, right? I want a vegetarian burrito." He stares at the tortilla with the scoop of rice. "So, you want chicken?" "No. No meat." He laughs. "I don't know about any of that stuff. I don't care if it swims, if it flies..." He sways a little and catches himself on the counter. I've worked in food service. I know that look. He looks at me again. The customer in line ahead of me tries to help. "She doesn't want rice. She's a vegetarian. I wanted rice for mine. But mine's already made." The employee dumps the rice back into the warming tray. A sparse layer sticks to the tortilla. "So you want beans?" I'm not a purist. If an errant piece of meat wanders onto my plate, I'll pick it off rather than send the whole thing back. But that's not something you should assume. My husband, who's next in line, suggests they use that tortilla for his burrito. This requires more back and forth, more incomprehending stares. I'm about ready to say forget it. Finally, Mr. Hiccups slops some beans onto a fresh tortilla. They're runny. No, they're pure liquid. The tap water on Catalina is thicker than those beans. He offers me cheese; I accept. He scoops some nacho cheese onto the sad puddle, violently tearing the skin that's formed on top of the cheese. There's shredded cheese right there. I don't understand what's happening. The nacho cheese is thicker than the beans and quickly displacing them. I ask for pico de gallo, guacamole, and cilantro. All that plus a medium Coke sets me back $16. The burrito flops over like a dude who's had enough to drink to think this is edible. I take two bites and toss it. My meat-eating companions don't end up finishing their food either. Apparently the chicken is slimy. All in all, I'd say this is an excellent place to eat anytime Ohtani is on the DL and Trout is gamely trying to play through the pain, because nothing the Angels do will disappoint you more than your food. read more

I'm told this is one of Arte Moreno favorite foods in the stadium. There are 2 spots, the bigger location in the outfield and a smaller satellite street taco stand closer to home plate. While the prices are way higher than what you'd find at any of their locations throughout SoCal, the food quality and portions don't disappoint. read more

No one has reviewed this place in awhile. Chronic Taco moved from their location behind the outfield seats to a smaller location behind the 1st base area. They no longer make the food fresh in front of you. The burrito is a lot smaller for the same price. They also only give you a 2 taco plate instead of the 3 tacos as before. They also took away some of the menu items. The best value is the nacho hat. read more
