When I'm in the mood for perfectly cooked steak I always end up at Christo's. The staff is great and the ambience is just right. The place is in the pricier side, but trust me when I tell you that it is worth it!

Christo's was a great dining experience. The atmosphere was quiet and the service was great. Our server Luiz was very accommodating and explained the menu items very well. He was very attentive as well as the other staff in the dining room. The Greek olive martini was very tasty. We started with the crab cakes which were very lightly pan fried on both sides and tasted very light and fresh. The Greek spreads were so tasty and different from one another. I couldn't get enough! The pita was homemade and warm. The bacon had a sweet glaze under it and was charred to perfection. The steak was cooked perfectly and our server plated it for us. We got a horseradish cream sauce to accompany our steak. It was delicious. The sides were a great addition to our meal. The creamed spinach had frizzled onions on top of it that were the perfect touch. The Mac and cheese was baked and topped with bacon. We finished it all off with a lava cake that had the creamiest vanilla ice cream I've ever had. An amazing experience. I highly recommend!

Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. What an experience, from being greeted, to the fantastic service and amazing food! We enjoyed the steak house and its warmth in ambiance which was classy and sophisticated. We started with a few appetizers, which was the caesar salad, calamari, thick cut bacon, baked oysters and crab cakes. All were just full of flavor and very fresh ! Next was the dinner, I opted for the lamb chops which were cooked perfectly, very tender and full of flavor . I ended up have the broccoli with roasted garlic and it accompanied the lamb chops perfectly! We also ordered the lobster mashed potatoes which was this fluffy mixture of whipped potatoes and lobster, very rich but worth every bite! Someone also ordered the porterhouse for 3 which was shared amongst the table, the steak was cooked perfectly medium well and the cut was very tender . Dessert was an array of all the desserts they ordered but my favorite was the oatmeal apple crumb cake it was so soft with slices of apple, raisins and it crumbled into the vanilla ice cream which was insanely good! so glad I had that with my espresso. All in all this was a great first experience and we hope to come back soon !

Went in for my birthday dinner, and really enjoyed it. The food was good, and inside was really calm and relaxed. The server's were very very nice. I had a good time!

Porterhouse for 2; truffle fries with parmesan

Decor screams traditional steakhouse but the place happens to be on a random block in Astoria. Service was great, the waiter took his time to answer questions and give recommendations. Fries were crunchy and flavorful. The filet half of the porterhouse (cooked medium) was great; the strip steak part was a bit tougher. Had calamari as an appetizer; it was decent but not enough tentacles were scattered throughout for my liking. After getting through a quarter of the steak, went into a food coma at the table and couldn't finish the rest. Main takeaway: if you're getting the porterhouse (or really any steak dish on the menu), come very hungry, don't eat any bread, don't eat any appetizers, just be ready for the meats. At least, in my case, there were leftovers though.

Ribeye

This steakhouse is HEAVEN on earth. No more driving all the way to Manhattan because this is better than any of them there. Me and my partner have become regulars because the food is over the top. We love the ribeye, creamed spinach, asparaugus is huge, creative cocktails.

The restaurant is elegant, their Greek food is delicious and the service is just great. I had a great experience!

I was slightly disappointed with my experience here. Firstly, it was very loud in the restaurant and I think it may be because the ceiling is so low. As more diners came in, it became difficult to have a conversation with the people at my table. Then you have our server who didn't smile the entire time. My sister was horribly annoyed by this and thought he was nasty, but I don't think he was. I just don't think he smiles. In this instance, a smile can go a long way. Or maybe they didn't care since the 18% gratuity was already going to be added. Let's start with the appetizers, we ordered the calamari, baked clams, and crabcakes. The best of the three was the crabcakes, but at $27, I would expect them to be great. The calamari was slightly chewy and could've been a little crispier. The baked clams were good, but nothing to write home about. Then we ordered two porterhouses for three. (There was six of us) We ordered one medium rare, and the other one medium. The medium rare one came out a little closer to rare which I was fine with since that's what I prefer But had to go with the majority. The medium porterhouse was cooked really unevenly. There were parts that were overcooked and parts that were undercooked. Somebody ate it, so there was no point in complaining about it. Unfortunately, the meat itself did not have much flavor. The steak couldn't carry itself without all those sauces and the fat cap could've been rendered better. The steaks came out with the House steak sauce, Bernaise, and shallot borderlaise sauce, but I missed that on the menu. We ordered the blue cheese and au poivre sauces which we may or may not have ordered how do we known we were getting all three sauces already included. Anyways, out of all the sauces I thought the house steak sauce tasted best. The red wine sauce was a close second, but it needed a little more seasoning. We also ordered a side of creamed spinach and brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were delicious, but the creamed spinach was too salty. This was unfortunate since creamed spinach is always my go-to side dish for steak. Overall, a not so great experience after spending 600+ dollars. The most pleasant thing all night was that they notified the valet when we got the check so our car was ready for us when we went outside. (and the valet driver was really friendly)

Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse is considered an upscale complete with table linens, celebratory atmosphere, and "all-you-can-eat" venue, typically with a bustling, energetic Southern Brazilian cuisine, serving churrasco barbecue style meats and traditional side dishes. This location is in Elmhurst, Queens, NYC and adjacent to Queens Center Mall where patrons can shop and subsequently conclude the day with a wonderful meal. Party of two for "All For One Price" continuous, fire-roasted cuts brought to your table, endless sides, and seasonal specialties from the Market Table - all for one price. The "Market Table" is a open buffet which includes fruits, vegetables, and seafood. This Market Table is very large. Food is very fresh and abundant readiness. I made the mistake to ruin my appetite with crackers mere hour before sitting at our table. Fire roasted meat distribution to table and carved with patrons catching a piece using a tong. Fogo is a meat lover's paradise for a heavy steak meal. The bottom sirloin or bacon wrapped steak, is noted by Yelpers, always dry. The parmesan crusted pork is flavorful and surprisingly juicy. I highly enjoyed the salmon and Caesar salad. The Green Card system is a signaling device used in traditional Brazilian service, known as Churrasco which allows patrons to control the pace of a meal of the "all-you-can-eat" buffet experience. Green Side (Go): When you place the card with the green side facing up, it signals the Gaucho chefs that you want to continue receiving service. Continuous Service: Chefs will frequently visit your table to carve various fire-roasted meats directly onto your plate, including signature cuts like Picanha (top sirloin), Filet Mignon, Ribeye, and lamb chops. Red Side (Stop): When you need a break or are finished, you turn the card to the red side to signal the chefs to stop. Rosé, Montes "Cherub" Colchagua Valley, Chile Dry, seductive, and elegant, it is a very smooth good finish. This wine may me float. I always have a predilection for wine. Caipirinha, Brazil's national cocktail This drink is made with cachaça (a sugar cane), hard liquor, sugar and lime with ice. It's refreshing for my friend. Chocolate Molten cake with vanilla ice cream One word: WOW! Customer service is very attentive and polite with kindness in a celebratory positive mood. Our party of two were inquired if we needed anything during mid-dinning experience and my friend requested Brazilian grilled cheese, espetinhos de queijo with honey. Pão de queijo, Brazilian cheese puff bread is served. High ceilings and there is a large relief statue of Antônio Caringi, Brazilian sculptor (1905-1981). Business cards and mints are abundantly available for grabs. I strongly suggest table reservations in advance, particularly for weekends and holidays as this large dining hall was bewilderingly very quickly filled as we dined on extreme artic cold February, Saturday. Every day can be one's birthday celebration. I think being alive with another tomorrow is a reason to be celebratory. I would surely return for another visit - enter empty stomach.

Excellent shrimp in garlic as well. I went to this Argentine spot a couple of days ago with 6 others, having previously been to their long-running Corona location a good while ago. This new location, by comparison, has only been open for a few months. The spot is casual, and the staff is friendly. Before the rest arrived, a few people ordered drinks, including some Mexican beers and, for me, a Quilmes. As with their other location, they gave us some toasted bread and sausages to begin with, which were tasty. There was a nice fragrant chimichurri sauce on the table. We started with two appetizers. The better app was an obligatory one for Argentine parilladas, Provoleta, or Provolone a la Parrilla, listed as grilled provolone in oregano sauce for $11.90. There were also some olives and some yellow pickled peppers, and it was standard and tasty, with a mild oregano flavor. The other one was the $12.90 Ensalada de Aguacate, or in other words, an avocado salad, with some red wine vinegar, olive oil, and Italian dressing on the side. There was plenty of very good quality avocado in there, but the salad otherwise was boring, with mostly lettuce along with some sliced tomatoes, onions, and some cucumber. The main dishes, of course, consisted of two of their parillada, a mixed grill platter, with both of them being ordered medium rare. The first one was their standard Parillada Para Dos o Tres Personas with skirt steak, short rib, sweetbread, tripe, kidney, and two sausages; black and Argentine. For the 2/3 person portion, it was $65.90, and it came with two sides. The Skirt Steak/Entraña on both this and the other mixed platter was wonderful, being tender and juicy with plenty of beef flavor. The Short Ribs/Costillas were flavorful, though a tad fatty. In terms of the achuras, or offal, my favorite of the bunch was the Sweetbreads/Mollejas, being perfectly cooked with a soft texture. I also loved the Tripe/Tripa, which more resembled intestines, which were clearly cleaned very well, as they lacked any gamey flavor. The texture otherwise was nice, and this was most of the others' favorite offal. The Kidney/Riñón was most of the other people's least favorite, with the strongest flavor, but as someone who likes liver, I still enjoyed it to an extent. In terms of sausages, the Argentine Sausage/Chorizo had a mild flavor, and the Morcilla/black sausage was excellent with a snappy casing and a very mild iron flavor. Compared to last time, this was even better. The more expensive of the mixed grills we got was the Parillada Especial Para Dos o Tres Personas, with more skirt steak, along with Flat Steak, flat rib, short rib, shell steak, and sirloin steak. This was $80.90 with 2 sides, and was also excellent. My least favorite, as before, was the short ribs, with the rest of the steaks having a mix of textures, with my probable favorites being the Flat/Vacio and the Sirloin/Cuadril. It was a ton of perfectly cooked meat, but it felt a bit boring by comparison this time, with the offal being so good on the other platter, compared to the other location. Our only other main dish was the $25.90 Camarones al Ajillo, or shrimp sauteed in garlic sauce, which was also served with one side. For a steak place, the shrimp here were better than most steakhouses, being plump and juicy. The delicious garlic sauce paired wonderfully and was especially good with the various sides. This was an expected hit and a necessary bite between all the various meats. For the free sides, we got two of the Plátanos Maduros, along with Arroz con Habichuelas, Ensalada Rusa, and Papas a la Provencal. Our favorites were the sweet plantains and the rice, especially with the meat juices or garlic sauce added. The Russian potato salad reminded me of a thicker version of salad Olivier, with plenty of mayo. The papas were the plainest, and I presume the Papas Frita/French Fries were better, but we chose not to order them. As we were already very full with a bit of leftovers, the postres/dessert was Panqueques Con Dulce De Leche for $9.90. These consist of crepes filled with milk caramel, and they were rich and tasty. It was great to share, and it was a good ending to the meal. We gave a generous tip, got leftovers, and still spent around $38 a person for some excellent food. Would recommend heavily, just like their other location. Rounding up to 5, or rather cinco estrellas.

It is an all you can eat setup for a flat fee of around $30, with roughly 90 minutes to work through as much as you want. I will be honest -- I have mixed feelings about the time limit format. At that point it is not really all you can eat, it is all you can eat within a window. The other consideration is that the meats cook at their own pace in the BBQ pit, which naturally slows things down regardless of how hungry you are. That said, my wife and I were both satisfied by the end of the meal. We ate our fill and left happy, which is ultimately the goal. The food was genuinely good -- good enough that I actually enjoyed this meal more than some of the higher end Korean BBQ spots I have visited. That says something. I will be back.
