Christine's is one of my happy place - a charming little cookie shop tucked into the Mission that's somehow both nostalgic and totally inventive. If you're someone who believes great cookies can change your whole day (hi, same), run here immediately. Keep an eye on their hours (they're not open daily)! Let's talk cookies - each one is thoughtfully crafted, not overly sweet, and perfectly textured, with the best possible ingredients. Here's the rundown of my favorites: Chocolate Chip: Classic, but far from basic. This cookie is perfection, soft, with just the right amount of crisp around the edges. It's buttery, rich, and full of high-quality chocolate chunks that melt into the dough beautifully. Honestly? One of the best chocolate chip cookies I've had. Lemon Earl Grey: This one totally wowed me. It's delicate, fragrant, and clearly made with real tea. Paired with the brightness of the lemon right in the center, it's refreshing and unique without being overpowering. Oatmeal Brittle: I wasn't expecting to love this one so much, but WOW. It's hearty and chewy, but with that crackly brittle folded in, there's this amazing caramel crunch that takes it to the next level. I love it! Black Sesame Oreo: Nutty, toasty, and just slightly savory with this deep, roasted flavor that lingers beautifully. It's not your everyday cookie, but something really special. The shop itself is sweet and minimalist - with pop ups of beautiful home wares, gorgeous cookies that are baked with care and creativity. The staff are very friendly, and they're more than happy to talk you through the flavors if you can't decide (which, fair warning, you probably won't be able to). Christine's feels like a love letter to cookies - comforting, elevated, and made with serious intention. I'll definitely be returning... often

I've had a few moments in my life where I've been completely inspired. When I stop and think, "what does it feel like to be the absolute master of your craft?" Christine's is one of those moments. In a city known for outstanding pastries, I can say without hesitation that Christine's is the best. Cookies (my ranking from bestest to best) chocolate walnut - toasted walnuts grown in northern California, dark chocolate discs, and browned butter. oatmeal brittle - house made organic almond sesame brittle, cranberries, oats and a hint of cinnamon come together to make this nutty and insanely fun take on the classic oatmeal cookie. lemon earl grey - spring seasonal filled with a housemade fresh, zesty meyer lemon jam made with organic meyer lemons from Prevedelli Farms in Watsonville, accompanied with a hint of Numi earl grey tea leaves infused throughout. black sesame oreo - fragrant nuttiness, paired with crushed organic chocolate sandwich cookies. sea salt espresso tea cookie - nutty buckwheat tea cookie dipped in TCHO's Real Fudgy single origin 70% dark chocolate, topped with organic espresso beans from Linea Coffee and Maldon sea salt. All the cookies except the last one are 4 ounces each, 4 inches in diameter, and all of them are made with all organic ingredients. I've also tried the cheese herb monkey bread, the Delano mushroom mechado danish, and the plain croissant, sooooo good. But timing is everything, you've got to catch the pastries when they come out or you'll miss them. The world might be a bit of a dumpster fire right now, so do yourself a favor and buy the cookies and pastries and support this local gem. Thank you, Christine, for your talent and passion! you can taste the excellence in every bite.

My friend brought me some cookies from Christine's. I ended up trying the chocolate chip, black sesame and lemon Earl grey. Lemon Earl grey 2/5- it started out great and then it got too tarty for me. And I normally love lemon but this was a little too much for my liking. Black sesame with oreo- 4/5- good and I can taste the black sesame over the Oreo more. But this cookie felt very buttery. Chocolate chip cookie - 5/5 made just right with a good amount of chocolates inside the cookie You can order ahead online if you wish. I think her cookies do changed during the season. So I recommend checking from time to time to see what's new.

This cute little bakery is tucked between Potrero Hill and the Mission. Service was friendly got greeted right away. I was excited to finally try Christine's, but I think I might have ordered the wrong things, nothing I tried really made me want to come back. I ordered the kimchi croissant. The croissant itself was good, flaky and buttery, but the filling didn't really deliver the bold kimchi flavor you'd expect. The sesame cookie was okay for being vegan, but the one I liked most was the oatmeal brittle cookie with cranberries. Maybe I'm biased, but I prefer my cookies more crunchy and crispy. Christine's cookies lean more toward the soft, chewy side, which some people love. I'd definitely skip the hot matcha though, it tasted watered down with milk, didn't have the bold match flavor and just didn't hit the mark.

Was at the Renegade Craft fair at Fort Mason and I was on the lookout for christine's! They were at the front of the pavilion this time and not in the back where I've seen them before. I had to get my favorite oatmeal brittle cookie and black sesame Oreo cookie. Both were fantastic. The Oreo black sesame one was more crumbly, the flavor was very unique and delicious. The oatmeal brittle one was a little chewy, the brittle gave it more texture and I liked the cranberries in it. Definitely get these cookies if you can! Every time I have them, I'm blown away by how good they are

Adding pictures to the location. Great place for good cookies and good monkey bread.

This place is FIRE! They clearly have good quality ingredients and it shows (in the form of taste) in the quality of the cookies. There's quite a variety of cookies. I'm a sucker for chocolate chip with walnut so that's probably going to be my forever favorite. Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside. And they THICC too. I will say they're not the cheapest cookies in the world ($6+ per cookie), but the size and flavor are great and you're supporting small business. It's located in between two buildings on Bryant street, just look for the A-sign and you'll find them. Clean modern contemporary look on the inside. Emily and Diane were working the shop when I went, both very sweet and welcoming ladies. Go check em out!

I stumbled on christine's at the Renegade craft fair and had to grab a couple of cookies to try. I got the Black Sesame Oreo and Chocolate Chip Walnut cookies and loved how chewy they are. The Black Sesame Oreo had great black sesame flavor and I could really taste both the sesame and oreo without it being too sweet! The cookies are large and dense without feeling too heavy and overall such a nice treat. I will have to visit the shop in the Mission next time I'm in the area!

Christine's is my favorite cookie spot in SF. I think about these cookies constantly and am always trying to see when I can get them next. I've tried all of their cookie types, and each flavor is phenomenal. My favorite is the Chocolate Walnut, but their Black Sesame Oreo is definitely a must-try! It's one of the best black sesame desserts I've had in a long time. I also quite enjoy their seasonal flavors, like the Lemon Earl Grey that is currently available. You can really tell how much love and passion is put into the cookies. The microbakery itself is super cute and aesthetic, and the owner is truly such a sweet human being. This place is a hidden gem--you should definitely try them out!

christine's is a small place in the Mission that sells mainly cookies with a very clean and modern design. I had the Black Sesame Oreo and Salted Peanut Butter Chocolate cookies. I can see why the Black Sesame Oreo is their best seller; I'd come back just to have it again. There was a small line of around maybe 5 people Saturday around noon, nothing too crazy. Definitely worth the time

Crossed the Bay Bridge just to get a taste of the hype with Christine's cookies. Tucked in an alley away from the usual busy areas of the city. Place is nice & neat. You are warmly greeted & acknowledged as you walk in. Cookie variations were beautifully displayed so you'd know which flavor/s to get. This place looked more like a hobby shop than a bakery/cookie shop honestly. Cookies tasted ordinary though. Was kind of disappointed. But hey...they're organic! Made with quality ingredients and I'm sure the owner poured her heart into these. It's just not for m

Super flavorful, rich, and flaky. My only minor complaint was that the consommé soaked through the bottom a bit, so it lost some crunch, but the flavor more than made up for it. Baklava Bun -- 8/10 Such an innovative pastry. It had all the warm, nutty, spiced flavors you'd expect from baklava while still feeling like a proper laminated pastry. Pistachio Cardamom Sugar Croissant -- 9/10 Best sweet option of the bunch. The exterior was perfectly flaky and crunchy, while the pistachio cream filling was rich without being overwhelmingly sweet. The cardamom added a really nice aromatic touch. Pork Bun Bearclaw -- 10/10 My favorite item by far. It tasted like a baked char siu bun crossed with a buttery puff pastry. Savory, slightly sweet, and incredibly satisfying. Twice Baked Biscoff Croissant -- 4/10 Unfortunately way too sweet for my liking. If you're a huge Biscoff fan you might enjoy it more, but it was overpowering compared to the balance of the other pastries. Overall, definitely worth the hype. Just make sure to go early unless you want to risk staring at empty pastry trays. Even so, they were refreshing that pastry case so that I was not without options. So many amazing-looking things, so I got 3 things just for myself: Chocolate Banana Almond Croissant $5.25: The classic, I had to try. And it was so good!! I thought it might be too rich, but I actually found it to be quite balanced. I loved the fresh mashed banana/banana purée inside, and it went really well with the chocolate. I didn't get a ton of almond flavor comparatively, but I appreciated the coating on the top for a heartier crunch in addition to the croissant flakiness. Like everyone else, I would definitely recommend this one! Passionfruit Bostock $4.25: The staff person helping me told me this was a good option, so I was happy about that. I would agree! It has a beautiful crisp on the outside and a moist crumb inside. The passionfruit flavor was really nice and not too strong. I believe they rotate different flavors of this one, so I'd definitely want to try more. Bostocks on the whole are underrated, and I think they have just the loveliest texture. All-in-One Cake: This is so creative. I was going to stop at the above two pastries, but when the staff person said that this cake was quite literally made up of all the other cakes seen in the case, I was already sold. How cool and creative and reduce-reuse-recycle is that!!!?? I love! And it was such a fun eat! I love how they added crust at the bottom and a gorgeous chocolate layer on top to tie everything together. And every bite was a little different: some fruity, some nutty, some crunchier. Super cool. I was able to nab a table and work a little bit, which was nice. It's a good vibe inside with a little hustle and bustle, but still cozy overall. I'll be back!

Pineapple King is a place I absolutely have a love-hate relationship about. I like how innovation the buns are, but the ordering process - regardless of whether I waited in line or I ordered in advance - has been very disappointing. I placed online orders in May 2021, April 2022, October 2022, June 2023, January 2025, and then today. (Thanks to my email which reminded me of the dates) Every single time I had to wait extra time for my previously placed online order to be ready. After several times of waiting for an extra 10 minutes, I decided to give them extra time to prepare the buns. It simply did NOT work. They always, and I mean always, asked me to wait for 5 more minutes. 5 minutes passed, and the order was still not ready. The average wait time has been 10 minutes in addition to the announced pick-up time. You might want to say, oh, I would like you to receive your buns warm and fresh. Thanks. But if a customer is late, they don't deserve warm and fresh buns. On the contrary, for us who are on time, why do we have to wait for extra time? Please consider adjusting the estimated pick-up time if you are super busy. I understand your store gets busy, and congratulations about that. Please ask your staff to give us a more accurate "extra wait time" because we customers are busy too. Our time is no less valuable than yours. Besides, I understand that you need to check our photo ID during pick-up. Please be consistent with your policy. While I was waiting by the pick-up window, I noticed there were customers who were not asked for their IDs, and they actually picked up their order after a 2-minute wait. Questions can be raised if you only enforce your policy either randomly or only towards several customers. After a few disappointing visits, our family are sad to say that this will be the very last time being your customers. How you run your business just don't align with our values. I do wish you all the best in your business. Thank you for reading my comment.

They all ask how the day is going, and one gave me $2 off! The bakery is well decorated from the inside and out. They're tiny details like the cute, hand drawn 'Dog Parking' sign, the banners and drawings from other kids, and all of the carefully arranged baked goods. I think that Arizmendi is a part of my life that I will miss as an adult. I hope you enjoy their service as much as I do.

My friend has gone to the other location a few times and said the other one was better, but this is my one off experience with Arizmendi. Ranked from best to worst, we got the: - almond croissant: kinda dense for a croissant but simple, lots of filling - daily pizza which was triple mushroom with a sesame ginger vinaigrette: a little gimmicky, smelled stronger than it tasted, not bad but wouldn't reorder, kind of dry but love the crust - cheese roll: dry as is but probably better warmed up, tasted like the pizza crust - chocolate mint cookie: very crispy edge with a softer middle, personally was too crunchy for me bc I like a softer cookie, definitely needed more mint - cowgirl cookie: letdown, had high expectations but this was super dry and needed more mixins Open to trying more pastries here because there is a large variety and wish the daily pizza flavor on our visit was better. Prices are fair and there was a line that didn't take too long.

They offer a variety of baked in house items that range from the savory ( mushroom and cheese "tart") to the sweet of banana croissant invention. EVERYTHING is tasty. Items are limited in quantity, so go early. The mushroom green onion tart is delish! It has a generous amount of mushrooms, manchego cheese, and light green onions. It's a lovely flavor profile. The only downside is that it's not given to you heated. Eating it cold was not optimal. The banana "tart" because I don't recall the exact name, is to die for! It's sweet, it's sooo good! It's like banana crack. It has caramelized parts to it, and you won't want to share it!! The double backed pistachio/blackberry croissant is a food group all its own. It's everything you want in a pastry! The Thai tea was just OK. Super pricey for the amount. It's not that traditional taste profile. The people that work at Neighbor big house are friendly, expedient with service, and this definitely needs to be on your secret places to try when you're visiting SF. It's not that we want to gatekeep, but you are gonna want all these pastries to yourself!
