It's a food truck (like most of the other options) located in an open space fronting the main highway just past Hasegawa's and before Bruddah Hutts. The Chow Wagon, located in the middle of Hana on the Hana Highway, is a great place to eat. The food is excellent and the portions are generous. There is also a pretty good variety of food on the menu (for a food truck), and the owners are very personable and genuine folks. We arrived with a group of 12 (witch included some finicky eaters) on April 4, 2013, and everyone praised their meals. Our group tired almost everything - from the hamburgers, to the Korean chicken, to the pork, to the hamburger steak - and every dish was excellent. They even stayed open an extra hour to accommodate our group ( after the Thai place turned us away at 4:04 pm). Hana doesn't have a lot of options for food, but this is a good one and I highly recommend it. Hey, even Weird Al Yankowitz was eating there when we arrived! How often do you see a celebrity at a food truck? It must be good! read more

Saw Da Chow Wagon sign leaving Hana heading to Haleakala National Park. On the way back saw the sign again and fortunately this place was still open... Thank goodness!!! This place was awesome, the service was overly friendly and the food was to die for. Highly recommend the Korean Chicken and Teriyaki beef. Well really anything they got on the menu is probably good. We are so happy to have found this place! Hana is pretty quiet and food offerings are limited. Either the menu itself is limited or prices are ridiculous. As far as I'm concerned, Chow's is the place to go. It's located just past the Chevron station on the mountain side of the road in a dark green food truck/trailer. I had the BEST beef teriyaki I've ever had in my life--so tender, generous portion, and they put something extra delicious in the sauce that I can't quite put my finger on. My husband ordered the Korean fried chicken and it was off the hook. They happily prepared an off-menu grilled cheese for my son and even THAT was special. They were so nice and loving and friendly--what a great experience. Hawaii at its best! read more

OMG!!! Sooooo good! Small Green food truck off the road. read the reviews on yelp and decided to give it a try. We were hungry! Auntie Donna & Mike cooked us up the best lunch we had on Maui!!! Aloha spirit at it's finest. I had Mahi sandwich...deeeeelish! Kids had burgers and fries. Hubby had mahi with yummy mac salad, rice & corn. Sitting next to the Most beautiful Plumaria tree, just off the road. right next-door was an amazing fruit stand with sweet Hawaiian fruits. The guavas brought me back to my childhood on Oahu. Amazing customer service! The owner/workers were very nice and explained what our vegetarian options were. We order a black bean patty with rice, a black bean burger with fries, a green tea and a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. The owner/worker gave us a free green salad on the side. There was a little girl that came to ask for the price of french fries but they refused to take her money. They gave her two orders of french fries for free! How cool is that?!?! Our food was great, but the cookie was disappointing and a bit overpriced (looks can be deceiving at times). read more

Gourmet meets food truck meets ohana! The catch of the day was ahi or mahi mahi; we had them both! Nice lemon caper cream sauce over the obligatory rice with a side of better than avg macaroni salad or greens. I say lose the canned corn (too cafeteria like) but otherwise this was the best meal we had in Hana! read more

I've gotta say I loved this place! Great food! We had the Korean teriyaki chicken and mahi mahi.. Which was the catch of the day, super fresh! It was unbelievable!! My kids had a cheeseburger when you first see it its a regular cheeseburger but as soon as you bite into it, it's like none other! Delicious! The customer service was great! An amazing find on the way from Hana to the 7 Sacred Pools. This food truck is run by incredibly nice and friendly people who serve up delicious food. We got a plate lunch with 1/2 loco moco and 1/2 teriyaki beef. The portion was large and seriously soooo good. Mac salad was creamy and delicious. The corn was a little random but works with the style of the plate lunch and the truck. We got that one plate lunch and a Pepsi and it was $15. Strongly recommend! read more

Excellent find after a long cycle ride in search of food - there aren't many dining options in Hana! I loved my fish which was fresh and served with salad and fries I could have waited for rice but decided to go for the fries instead. My husband had the Korean chicken which was solid (I didn't try as I don't eat meat) but in his opinion not as tasty as my fish plate! read more

The Korean Chicken was incredible. We returned home yesterday and my 7yr old is still talking about it. I had teriyaki beef and enjoyed every bite, but I have to say, I am still thinking about returning for the chicken! You can't beat enjoying these eats after hiking the bamboo forest. We drove straight through to the end and did the forest hike, ate hear and then hit the black sand beach on the return. The perfect father/daughter adventure. read more
