Good lunch spot on the Road to Hana. Burgers and fries were good, they have a good variety on their menu. Limited seating and parking, room for maybe 5-10 cars and 3 tables available. Service was quick and friendly. Enjoyed it a lot!

Nice little food truck in Hana was a nice way to end the long drive. The small parking lot had some picnic tables set up so that you can eat there. The truck worker was very friendly and answered any questions we had. The food was good and had lots of flavor but felt a little too salty. Other than that, everything was cooked well. The hamburger patties were tender and thick and came with a delicious gravy. The Mahi-Mahi was fried nicely with a flaky exterior and a buttery interior.

This food truck is one of the best. We stopped by on our road to Hana trip, and we were surprised how delicious this food was. Service was good, ambiance is a typical food truck in a grass lot. - Mixed plate (4.5/5): Chicken katsu, kalua pork. The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy. The pork was moist and so tasty. - Loco moco (4.5/5): The gravy was perfect. There was so much of it which we love. Great flavor. - Ahi tuna (5/5): This was so fresh, and the tuna was perfect. The sauce was the perfect combo, so savory and a bit sweet.

On the infamous Road to Hana, Kilo's Kitchen can be found once you reach Hana proper. This kitchen boasts the best poke, by far, that I had on the island of Maui. I ordered the standard shoyu variation, and was thoroughly impressed. From the sprinkles of furikake on the pods of rice, to the delicate layering of ahi with salad, this meal was choice! There was a bit of a wait to receive the food, so I sat at the tables which were located in a little grove, the tables had ant trails covering certain parts. It was slightly unappealing to see the trash was overflowing at this location, and a delicate Jenga style game to pile my box in the mix, however, the food was amazing and well worth the stop.

Stopped by Kilo's Kitchen and ordered the crispy pork belly--it was amazing! Super crispy, super fresh, and full of flavor. I highly recommend it! I also tried the mixed plate with chicken katsu and panko mahi-mahi, but unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. Being from Oahu, I've had plenty of chicken katsu before, and while the breading was fresh and had a good consistency, the portion felt a bit small for the $26 price tag. If you're visiting from the mainland and haven't had much katsu before, you might enjoy it more, but for locals, I'd say skip this one. At a lower price--maybe around $15--it would've been a much better value. That said, the service was great, and the staff was really friendly. If you're looking to support local, this could be a solid option--just be mindful of what you order. Definitely go for the crispy pork belly, but I'd steer clear of the combo plate.

Great stop, not to be missed! This is a gem on the road to Hana if you're craving hot food. Great service, good burgers and crispy chicken sandwiches. Picnic tables in the shade, but no bathroom. You can stop at the park and use the public restroom about a mile away.

Ended up at Kilo's after a long drive to Hana. Not sure what to expect. We were greeted with a smile and we proceeded with ordering the Grilled Mahi sandwich and the chicken katsu. 10/10 for both. The chicken katsu was not just breading, it had a hearty cut of chicken and crisp to it...OMG! It was perfect with their Mac salad. My daughter had the fish sandwich that came with fries as well and she said also gave it a 10/10. It was a great place to eat. And honestly, out of all the food we tried on the island, this was the best thing we had.

Kilo's Kitchen did not disappoint. On the Road to Hana, it was right off the road on a lot with a food truck and plenty of parking. While each entree is pretty pricey, I soon found out that each entree (at least for me) could feed at least two people. I got the Chicken Katzu and it had a huge chicken breast. It was breaded and fried just right, served alongside perfectly sticky rice. My husband got the Loco Moco and it was huge and smothered in gravy. The hamburger my son got was delicious too. I read that alot of the locals go to this place and it was amazing.

WOWOW. Such amazing food truck food! There were so many options on the menu but my sister and I decided to split a two meat platter. We ordered chicken katsu and kalua pork and it came with rice and macaroni/potato salad. Along with that, we also ordered fries. It was so much food for two people we couldn't finish it! The chicken katsu was perfectly crisped and tasted amazing. The kalua pork was flavorful and juicy. And I am not usually a macaroni salad person but it was surprisingly tasty! There is a strip of parking to the side of the food truck and about 4 picnic tables to sit at in the lawn area. It's a small-ish space and we got there before a rush came. They had a lot of to-go orders too. It seemed like a great mix of locals and tourists. This food truck was a stop along the Road to Hana (close to or in Hana town) and I am so glad we stopped by. They had a friendly staff and I would love to come back!

Hands down my favorite eatery in Hana. From the quality to portion size, Kilo's Kitchen blew everyone out of the water. Bless the staff for opening up on time! We placed our massive order at 10AM and received it within 10 minutes. They had a simple menu with three specials. Mustard, mayo and soy sauce were provided at the front and utensils were self served. Notably the chopsticks had mold on them so I would stick to forks and spoons. =ORDERED= *Chicken Katsu: made with chicken thighs and came with rice, macaroni salad, and Katsu sauce. Included so much chicken katsu. Could have easily been shared between two people. The sauce was a mix of barbecue and ketchup. The rice was fluffy and the chicken had a satisfying crunch with a juicy interior. The macaroni salad was too mayo forward for my preference. *Ahi Poke Bowl: came with furikake rice and either shoyu or spicy poke or both. Incredibly tender and fresh fish. The spicy version wasn't overly spicy and I enjoyed the texture from the masago. The shoyu wasn't overly salty so the ahi shined. Had lots of onions and cabbage to counter the soy sauce marinade. Rice was also average. *Loco Moco: best gravy in town. Thick while being salty and peppery. Patties were juicy and thick. For once the hamburgers weren't grilled to death. Our friend also complimented the quality of their chicken sandwich with came with a side of fries and packaged ketchup. They accepted credit card with a 3% surcharge so we opted for cash instead. The prices were noticeably cheaper than the nearby restaurants yet the portion sizes were nearly doubled. Trust me, Kilo's Kitchen was worth the redirect from the main road.

A hidden gem along the way to Hana! There's parking places around the food truck. This place had the best poke place we've had all over Hawaii. Better than tin roof poke and onos from Oahu! The freshest and best marinated poke I've had. Also the coconut shrimp was amazing. The drive over here was crazy so we're so glad we found this place. They have tables there for you to eat there so it's extremely convenient to drive over, eat, and continue on your road to Hana Highly recommend!

Moco Loco is a must try! Delicious food and the locals are so welcoming. Will definitely come back!

After a long drive getting to Hana, my friends and I were starving. We knew there weren't many food options in this small town so we decided to give Kilo's a try and I'm glad we did! I had the loco moco and tried my friend's chicken katsu. First off, the portions are HUGE, which justified the $18 price tag. You can definitely share one order with someone. The loco moco was savory, delicious and just hit the spot. I liked that it came with sunny side up eggs! The chicken katsu was probably one of the crispiest I've had. I kept stealing my friend's katsu. They have a few picnic benches for you to eat at and it was a nice meal outdoors. Definitely recommend!

Two perfectly cooked eggs with that runny yoke, two hamburger patties, onion, rice, and a generous portion of gravy. All of that combined made a great lunch. If you're not starving, then there's enough to share for two. One of the best Loco Mocos we had on our trip. They're located in an area with multiple little food trucks, and they have plenty of tables in the middle to enjoy your food. There's a little parking lot nearby - we didn't have any problems finding a place to park. Their hours are not necessarily on a timetable - I don't think they opened until an hour after what they said online. But if you can make it while they're open, then it is totally worth it.

Both the wife and I decided on Joel's and for once we both decided on the same dish. With a quick order, we were spending some time finding a seat, and looking at some of the other vendors who are also here at the trucks. This is a great and casual place to get your food on. There are a couple of other places that you can go, but the food to choose from here at least for me is just too hard to beat. When we got our food, we were happy it's the portions of both the teriyaki beef and the garlic shrimp. I would suggest that if you get the garlic shrimp, that you have anyone else whom you plan on talking to or being closer than 2 feet from you also eat the garlic shrimp. These things are delicious but will keep vampires away for quite a while. Simply put this is a great stop to get your quick food on, easily eat in 10-15 mins and you can be on the road in 30 mins or less if your in a hurry, or like us, just soak in that glorious weather and have a great meal. The portion size was appropriate and the price is typical of what you will find on the island and keep in mind that you are also in Hana so just keep that in mind. No dollar menus here!! You find yourself on the road to Hana, stop in at the food truck area and stop and Joel's. You wont be sorry.

Be sure to watch for the sign as you approach - we drove by the first time and came back to make it into the parking lot. The person taking orders was helpful and warned us right away that they were out of curry. The person who makes it measures from her heart, won't share her recipe, and was out shopping. We shared the fried rice with chicken and some spring rolls. It was all so delicious, and fun to sit on the deck and watch the road and town while relaxing after the crazy road. My real praise starts a couple hours later. As we made it to our next stop, I remember that I had never taken my bag off the back of the chair back at the restaurant! I called as soon as we had a phone signal again, and the gentleman who answered the phone assured me right away that he'd seen it and was keeping it safe. I told him we'd be back for it the next day, and he told me what time he'd be there. Luckily for me, hubs drove back alone the next day (he loves the road, and it's more fun for him without me panicking from the passenger seat). The man at the restaurant said he'd tried to get our attention as we left, and again when we drove by after visiting the shore! I was so grateful to have my stuff back, and be able to board our plane the next day with my id. P.S. - the food and service was 5 stars even if they hadn't helped with my mix up later!
