I made a review a year ago, and have returned to update! We got the chips and queso again and it was still delicious. This time I got the avocado bowl and added pulled chicken. These flavors go so well together! I think that will be my order from now on. Also the servers were so nice. I mentioned to one that I loved his bracelet and he pulled off a silly band and gave it to me!! Made my entire day.

So for quite a few years I've passed this place while driving down 278 and a couple of weeks ago Kat & I went there for church lunch. It wasn't bad! The staff were friendly and helpful, and our orders came out quite quickly. I heard mixed reviews on their tacos, so we both opted for bowls, as we are kinda trying to eat a little better these days. The price point was a little stiff, but man, our dishes were fresh, well portioned and very tasty. This won't be a regular stop for us, but we will definitely be back again.

Well, a little bit expensive, but everybody is very nice. The server was very attentive as well. They do however no longer serve lunch so a heads up there. The burgers and salads were very good. Chow daddys is good place to unwind and take a break. Will be coming back. Love the ambiance.

This was an amazing find on our way home from Hilton head. We ordered the corn dip as an appetizer and it was some of the best that we've had. But it's just a very small portion not much to share for a table of three. I also had the fried chicken bun, which was delicious, but there really was a lot going on with it, pimento cheese, slaw, pickles, etc. I ended up taking most of it off the bun. By the time we left, every table was full.

Nuke N.

Food is way overpriced. It cost me $23 plus tip for lunch the burger was $18 should have been $14 or $15. Service was great food was hot, burger was mediocre fries weren't the greatest. A taste for older people who don't care for flavor." Like most of Bluffton ". I won't be back.

C J S.

Amazing food, atmosphere, and service. Cassidy was infectious and informative, explaining the menu and our options as this was our first time in.

Jameson J.

Food is good. Service is good too. The menu is unique they have bowls, and you can make these bows anyway you like. I had the avacodo bowl. This came with arugula, avocados, with mango and corn salsa. It was very refreshing light and healthy. I would order this again. The ranch dressing was OK. Next time I'll order it with Italian dressing or something less viscous. They have a nice outdoor patio and a full bar.

Just finished lunch, I don't know which was better the food or the service. Great atmosphere, the decor is adorable and the waiter was terrific!

The Chicken sandwich comes with pimento cheese, slaw, and sweet pickles. Large enough to share!

They have an amazing burger that's juicy and worth trying but don't upgrade to the sweet potato fries, they are an extra charge and the restaurant doesn't have any special cinnamon butter to complement them. One in our party had the chicken sandwich which looked amazing and they said it tasted really good. My husband was going to order a burger, but changed his mind when they said they don't have any sliced tomato for the hamburger.

Carl D.

Corn and chip appetizer and cornbread kicked off the meal really well. We got mahi, steak, mushroom and shrimp tacos. The red sauce on them was delicious. Will definitely come back. We hear the burgers are amazing but we leave that for next time.

Stopped here on our way into HHI from out of town after a long drive with lots of traffic. Kids were starving, and this place had great reviews. Had a good meal, good experience overall. However, on our way out we noticed the American flag with the thin blue line flying on the side of the restaurant. Now some people might not notice this, or know what it means. But this flag has ties to white nationalism and racism. It was popularized as a retort to the Black Lives Matter movement, basically excusing police violence against black people. So while their food was quite good, flying this flag outside their establishment sends a symbol to patrons that black people or people of color *may* not be as welcome. And in my opinion, no meal is so good that I'm willing to patronize a place that doesn't welcome "all."

Bernice G.

The so-called owner of this restaurant replied to my comment on Google stated that I had lied about my experience. Pictures are worth 1000 words, I will let the people be the judge and jury do these look like $10.00 & $12.00 tacos to you? Guess what? You only get 1

I will usually reserve a 5 start for an exceptional fine dining restaurant experience but we were that impressed with the off-island Chow Daddy's. We are a fan of the Chow Daddy's on HHI but have not been there since they moved into Sea Pines. We were staying in Sun City with friends and decided try this location. The food was exceptional and delicious . Everything from the Nacho appetizer, the salmon bowl, and the sandwiches were fresh and delicious . The service was also top notch. The manager sat us and check on us during dinner. The waitress really knew the menu and recommended a few of their specialty drinks which did not disappoint . Can't wait to try the new island location to see if it does as well as the Bluffton restaurant. read more

This restaurant uses solicitation to up their reviews on yelp I have attached a photo of their website including the offer for a drawing of $500 dollars for leaving reviews on Yelp. My wife and I went here last night and the lobster was old and easy to tell as well as her chicken bowl being grey chicken like it had been dehydrated. Our bill was $115.67 an absolutely atrocious amount of money for the food and service we received. Extremely disappointed with Chow Daddy's, Do Better! read more

Tristan our server was great, promptly refilling our drinks and getting our food out in a timely fashion. The tacos are $10 a piece but you won't be disappointed in the portion size. They don't cheat you in the meat/shrimp or whatever main ingredient. The chips in our chips and poblano queso appetizer came out hot and fresh. They were not stale. I recently dined at Chow Daddy's and had a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was casual yet vibrant, with a cool Southern charm that made us feel right at home. The menu offers a variety of fresh, inventive dishes with a focus on local ingredients, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. We were lucky to have Emma as our server, and she truly made the evening special. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations without being pushy. Her positive energy added a personal touch to the meal. I highly recommend the pork tacos--they were perfectly seasoned and served with a fresh slaw that balanced the flavors beautifully. The pimento cheese appetizer was also a standout, and the homemade cocktails were refreshing and well-crafted. All in all, Chow Daddy's is a must-visit, especially if you're looking for a relaxed yet flavorful dining experience. And if you're lucky enough to have Emma as your server, you're in for an extra treat! read more

I normally do not write reviews, but the service at Bluffton's Chow Daddy's was so exceptional that I had to leave a post. The bartender, Kat, welcomed us as we entered the restaurant. She was so nice that we decided to have drinks and dinner at the bar. I am so glad that we did! She mixed a fabulous "Chow-Rita" cocktail that was the perfect mix of sweet and sour; she offered dinner recommendations that were spot-on; and generally kept us entertained. The manager, Dan, stopped by to see how we were enjoying our meal. He even brought out a rice tasting, which was delicious with sea salt and cilantro! Burgers were cooked to perfection and everything was fresh. I highly recommend visiting Mix Master Kat at Chow Daddy's-Bluffton. Great casual vibe, terrific service and tasty cocktails, entrees and apps. read more

Angelica was absolutely incredible during our dinner on 5/17/2021. We came in later (8:45pm) and she took care of us all the while training someone. She talked with us the entire time (which we loved) and was super personable. She checked on us to see how our food was within the first 3-4 minutes and even brought us an extra plate as were sharing an entree. She recommended entrees and apps to us when we couldn't decide and even used her knowledge of the menu to help me decide to get the sangria- which ended up being amazing. This was my first time to Chow Daddy's (his second time) and it was incredible all because of Angelica. If your lucky enough to have her as your sever, your in for a wonderful evening. read more

Stopped in to try something new. Was a little apprehensive at first. I felt an overwhelming home town vibe and wondered if I'd even be welcome in such an exclusive feeling environment. But chow daddy's exceeded my expectations. As soon as I stepped out on the back patio, saw the ping pong tables, retro decor, and heard the remixed jams coming from the speakers, I knew this hipster joint was more than just novelty. The pulled pork was plated in a beautiful mix of colors and aromas. The bright orange sweet potatoes were roasted to perfection. And my 2 dollar domestic beer was as smooth as the music on the radio. Will be returning. Great job chow daddy's read more

Our experience at Chow Daddys was an unexpected pleasure. We had planned to dine at a different restaurant while in Hilton Head for the afternoon but it was closed for a private engagement. We saw Chow Daddys while heading off the island and decided to stop out of curiosity. We were immediately seated. Our server, Luke, was great. He answered questions we had about the menu. The general manager, Remington, checked on us making sure our experience was great. It was a pleasure to see a GM actually out on the floor engaging with the customers and ensuring satisfaction. We will definitely return if and when we are back in Hilton Head, SC! read more

When it comes to feeling like a second home, Chow Fathers feels like the man who raised you when your actual father was out playing darts and ruining the local town fountain. My server was Kat and she is the epitome of professional, personal, and honest. We trusted her so much from her friendly demeanor we let her order for us. Best. Decision. Ever. I felt like the food critic from Ratatouille. The food she selected for me brought me back to my childhood and the nostalgic feeling of being wrapped in a warm hug. Kat read me like a book and for that I will always recommend Chow Fathers to everyone i meet. read more

My husband and I frequent this place quite often and we love it. They serve fresh and high quality food for fair prices. They have the greatest burgers and fries and great shareable appetizers, I highly recommend the chow daddy's burger with fries and the nachos for the shareable appetizer to share with friends and family. They also have great service, whenever you go ask for Kaitlyn or McKenzie, they will take good care of you. I can't wait to visit again and have this experience all over again. Thank you very much for your lovely hospitality and we look forward to visiting again real soon. read more

This is our first time here at Chow Daddy's. On our way to HHI we decided to make a stop for something new to eat. Upon arrival the restaurant was clean and appealing. We were promptly greeted and given the choice to sit indoors or outdoors. We chose to enjoy the beautiful weather today. Our server Jaclyn has been friendly and welcoming. The food is right up our alley as we eat mostly organic, fresh and locally sourced. The prices are fair and competitive for the type of food served. Everything looks delicious, we can't wait to try it all!! read more

My husband and I stopped by before getting back on the road for a two hour drive. From the moment we walked in, we were pleasantly greeted and served. We sat at the bar to order take-out. However, after speaking with Kat and Maddison, we decided to stay. They were both absolutely AMAZING and so sweet. We loved our encounter with them. The food was so delicious and they were so accomodating. My husband has a barber shop here, so we will DEFINITELY come back again. Thank you Kat and Maddison for being such beautiful souls!!!! read more

Best B&B--no, not bed and breakfast, but best BURGERS AND BEER! I rate this par excellence in all features of casual dining, from high-quality food to service and atmosphere. Remmington manages his staff with a golden touch, while Cody serves you as if you were his only client. The welcoming, artsy decor only enhances the experience. So if you want to enjoy a really terrific, relaxing meal in Bluffton, you now know where to go. Chow Daddy's is an excellent choice! read more

Our second visit here and it was just good as the first! Our server Cat was so friendly and attentive - she made sure we had everything we needed. The Chow Daddy burger was phenomenal and their fries are delicious. Also loved the Chopped Salad and homemade lemonade. Everything was super fresh. This place really goes above and beyond with their service - the manager Remington welcomed us and checked on every table while we were there. Again Cat was awesome too! read more

WOW! Absolutely did not expect the quality and service when we went = Chow Daddy ... sounds like joke name! ......BUT, please do NOT let the name influence a visit! Terrific healthy menu options and even better taste! Quality ingredients, friendly staff.... yes, a bit 'dark' inside but not off-putting. And they have a sister restaurant nearby, 'Truffles', which is as professional and more light and airy. Give them both a try.... doubt you will be disappointed! read more

We came in on a very rainy Monday to get a bite for dinner. Our server Theodashia was great! Super friendly, our drinks and food came quickly and everything tasted great. We had a great time and chatted with Theodashia, who made us feel welcomed. The one slight negative that has nothing to do with the server, is the pour the bartender gave us. We ordered a red and rose, and the pour was pretty small for the price. Otherwise, we recommend Chow Daddy's. read more

Highly recommend Chow Daddy's for the atmosphere, food, and of course the excellent service! Thanks again, Madison! read more

I had lunch with a business associate today at Chow Daddy's in Bluffton and everything was exceptional. The food was fresh and delicious with an ambiance to compliment. We were initially told there wasn't any room upstairs, but after explaining that we had specifically reserved upstairs, we were eventually seated where we had requested. There was actually plenty of seating upstairs, so that was a little frustrating. Once we were seated, things went pretty well. Our waiter let us know they were out of crab dip and catfish. We started with the Greens & Cream appetizer, and it was DELICIOUS! The homemade tortilla chips were so good. My husband had the fish and grits with mac and cheese, and he enjoyed everything. I had the fried scallops with green beans and grits, and my meal was good as well. I also had a bar drink that was really good. There were a few service issues. We had to ask for silverware, and my side substitutions were rung up incorrectly. I also received fries even though I had substituted them, and I didn't receive the hush puppies that were supposed to come with the meal. I ordered a second bar drink that never came, so I eventually asked for it to be removed from the bill. Our waiter was young and overall did a good job, but I think he could benefit from a little more training and attention to detail when taking orders. Overall, the food was good and we enjoyed our dinner. I would recommend giving Ma Daisy's a try, but definitely check your bill and make sure your substitutions are entered correctly. There's room for improvement with the service, but the food was worth the visit!

I had high hopes for this from what I've been told by others. Total disappointment…read more First, the service was awful. We got there 15 minutes after they opened and the only ones seated at the bar. You would think they would be on top of things that early in the evening. Nope, my wife had to wait 18 minutes to get her wine (which we bought the whole bottle). Second, they haven't changed their fryer oil in FOREVER!!!! Yes, I know what I'm talking about. As it being an open kitchen and you can see everything. We witnessed them take oil they just cooked in a pan and dump it in the fryer with the other oil. Are ya kidding me??? All the fried food came out dark as all get out it's been that long since they changed it or even filtered it. Third, some of the cook wore gloves and others didn't. No big deal normally. I watched one cook reach in the garbage and then proceeded to start preparing food!!!! No fing way!!!! Four, the Egg Roll was bland, the inside ingredients was garbage. Over cooked and tough. My wife's filet was under seasoned (well no seasoning at all), a cheap cut of meat and dry!!! The béarnaise sauce tasted and looked like it came out of a jar. It was the worst I've ever tasted. She asked for no vegetables and the risotto instead. She did get the risotto. I'll admit, that wasn't so bad. The bread that was under the filet was ICE cold. Not even sure why they served it or put it on the plate. Fifth, this is a one and done for us. There are soooooo many better options in the area with a better menu, price and service. To say disappointing is an understatement. Oh ya, almost forgot. We had to get a Togo bag and it reminded me of the bags you use to pick up your dogs poop. I'm not even joking.
