This was amazing, I'm not sure if it was because I haven't had real food in weeks or just because this burger was so damn good. I feel bad for what I did to their bathroom though. The service was great and fast and the price was on point. The ambiance was great it was really chill and a great place to enjoy some lunch in DC. I would highly recommend this establishment to eat. read more

Today, I tried ChopSmith at the Wharf again. Bacon, egg, and cheddar cheese on Ciabatta bread. Excellent! The bread is fresh, eggs are flat fee, and plenty of bacon. Very good I also ordered and a western omelette that came with potatoes. Unfortunately the potatoes were extremely salty and with me having underlining conditions it was a major problem for me. read more

Finally, a healthy, casual, and affordable spot around the Wharf! I tried the sticky chicken & cashew, and it was delicious. Lots of flavors and very fresh tasting and healthy. Bok choy was super bland though--just grilled with no flavors in itself. As a Chinese-American person who grew up eating bok choy, I know how to make excellent tasty sauteed bok choy, and Americans clearly don't know how :) But anyway, aside from that, the salad was great and very filling. The portion was really huge (great for the price!), and my sister and I could barely finish it. Granted, we had split an acai bowl then a large sandwich (we had finished working out and were starving!) before alighting on this place, so we were already somewhat full lol. Came back a second time and tried the Salmon and Grilled Avocado. It was amazing!!! Very fresh, healthy, and incredibly filling for dinner (it was actually a bit more than what I needed, and I'm a very hungry female athlete...). Would highly recommend this bowl for all first-timers here. Seriously, I'm giving this place 5 stars because of THAT dish. read more

Wow! I'm from AZ here visiting and astonished at how good this place was. Options are endless, reasonable prices, and very fresh ingredients. Highly recommend. You can order on machines and modify anything you want too! read more

Beautiful, fresh salads with colorful choice of ingredients and toppings that include: grilled shrimp, grilled pineapple, fresh lump crab, toasted veggies, taboola, grilled onions, watermelon radishes, multi color carrots, etc. You can let your imagination run wild creating a dream salad or sandwich. Also super classy plates and silverware for dine in service. The only complaint was that when I asked for grilled shrimp, there were a only 3 grilled cold shrimp behind the glass counter. I saw the servers prepare a skewer of several.shrimp on the grill, which made me excited that they were preparing fresh shrimp for my order, however they ended up serving me the three cold shrimp and not entirely sure what happened to the freshly grilled shrimp... read more

Loved the food and ambiance of Chopsmith! Everything was fresh and made to order. We went for breakfast but i would have definitely gone back for lunch or dinner. Would recommend! read more

We needed to graba a quick bite before heading to the airport so ducked in here for a generic sandwich. Then we got our food and it was delicious. The chicken bacon avocado has a nice aioli and a nice sauce. The classic burger was delicious as well. The service was good too. It took a little longer than we expected, but the food was well worth it. read more

I was in the wharf area in DC and not a lot of fast food places open late. Chopsmith was open, had a great menu, and allowed you to order online. Was a 5 minute walk from the hotel and the food was spot on. I had the burger and potatoes. Great flavor and hit the spot on a cold, windy night. There were at least 10 other "to go" orders ready packed when I picked mine up, so they seem to be doing something right! I highly recommend. read more

We decided to stop by here after we went to Wharf. I've tried the Frenchy and hazelnut iced coffee, and it was good. You can order ahead of time and pay online which we did and it was a hassle-free. Lots of choices in their drinks: caffeine and fruit options. Sadly, we discovered very late that you can build your options here. Maybe next time again if we happen to pass by in the read more

I just spent a lot of money ordering 3 Wharf salads for lunch. The portions were small (lettuce specifically) and all the greens were drowning in dressing. Not a single crunch. Tried to call the store several times for resolution but no answer. So infuriating when you want to treat yourself and others on a budget and not even get most of your money's worth. Wish I had spent my few dollars elsewhere. read more

Went to their soft opening and tried their Baja bowl; it was super delicious! There were so many enticing dishes on the menu but Baja had the most exciting flavors to me at the time. They remind me of a smaller version of Urban Plates. It's nice to have another healthy lunch option in the area! The reason for that missing star is the protein ratio. It was almost filling but the amount of protein was just not enough for my liking. If it had a little more shrimp, it would've been a solid meal. Other than that, the ingredients were all complementary. Looking forward to see what else they have in store! read more

It's a very convenient and relatively affordable option for the immediate area (the wharf) where the prices can be over the top. I had the steak and eggs and it was very good though the potatoes were not crispy. Next day we shared a chopsmith sandwich and salad. The sandwich was delicious and the vegetables and greens were very fresh. Their iced coffee was great, too. read more

This is a tasty place! Seems like they put a lot of thought into their plates and combinations. I tried the chimichurri steak plate that came with grilled avocado with corn and beans. garlic parmesan smashed potatoes, ceasar salad and 2 slices of bread. My one critique is that the steak was a bit overcooked which made the meat tougher but the seasoning and flavor was good. It's a nice portion of food for the cost. I really loved the aqua frescas and ice teas -- the kale aqua fresca is delicious, not too sweet, not too kale forward :) and the passion fruit ice tea was also a big hit. Will be coming back to try the breakfast sandwiches and crab cake sandwich at some point soon! Appreciate the loyalty program for those of us in the neighborhood that will likely be back. read more

Nothing unique just a fancy name for soups and sandwiches. A bit pricey but the food is good nothing special.

Great casual lunch spot with healthy options. My go-tos: Buddha bowl, salmon/avocado bowl, salmon nicoise.

Excellent that this option exists- had the warf louie and was able to do a number of customizations. Seating was limited but we were able to find a table for four. Will be happy to get a chance to come back. read more

While I was in town to visit my son, he brought me here for a late breakfast. I was very impressed with the variety of the menu, and the level of quality of the food. The B.E.L.T. is a must have. A light and airy, breakfast sandwich, packed with flavors and textures. Their classic was juicy and flavorful - with just the right amount of the caramelize onions! The interior is nice and elegant. I can't wait to come back to town and have a B.E.L.T. again! read more

I've done a take out from there. This was my first time and LOVED their crab cakes, corn salad, roasted Brussels sprouts and turkey soup and they were ALL SO delicious! I can't wait to go back to get some more food from them next time! read more

It was fine, but not as good as I had hoped based on the recommendations. It was kind of off putting seeing all the pre-cooked ingredients for our salads just lying around on plates. Maybe it could have been forgiven if it didn't cost $50 for just two salads and fountain drinks -- and we had to bus our dirty plates ourselves! read more

Today was my first time trying Chopsmith and I can confidently say I won't be returning. The food was average and disrespectfully overpriced. On top of that we had to wait about 45 minutes for our food while watching many people who ordered after us get their food first. I ordered one of their chicken sandwiches that was just okay. Nothing worth coming back for and nothing special about it. My wife had a salad that tastes stale and like it was just thrown together in a few seconds. She could barely finish it because the taste was so unappealing. The thing that really bothered me was the poor excuse for a $5 side dish that I ordered. The "Black bean & corn stuffed avocado" should be labeled as false advertising. It's simply just a teaspoon of corn and beans splattered on a quarter of an avocado for five dollars. Pretty disappointing. read more

I work upstairs, and was thrilled to find out the same young entrepreneur behind Toastique was branching out. I've been 4 times now and while It's overall delicious and great options, the delivery has been incredibly inconsistent. I've ordered the roasted chicken, and the Salmon and grilled avocado bowls, and each time they've come with different ingredients, or missing ones. I've had to ask them to put ingredients such as mushrooms on the roasted chicken bowl, or add salmon to the salmon and grilled avocado bowl. Both are marked gluten free, however each time I'm *not* asked whether I'd like bread but rather have had to yell to catch their attention each time to stop them from putting it on the bowl, one time not getting to it in-time and having to have them remake it, which is unfortunate. I really want to like this place overall, because the food is good, the convenience is great, and the people are friendly. However, the service is overall spotty and unreliable and I don't like having to instruct folks on how to prepare my food, or have a spike of panic each time something marked gluten free is about to be decimated with a slice of bread. The training needs work, and the line cooks need to either have more references to the ingredients available or spend some more time memorizing. read more

The best bang for your buck and it offers the healthiest food on DC's Wharf area. Most of the restaurants by the 'boardwalk' are good but more expensive than Chopsmith. Delicious food and great warm hospitality!!! I place an order on caviar and am almost certain that the delivery person wasn't handling my meal with care. Got a cold meal with the food container lid open. Please keep in mind this is during COVID 19, where we are all trying so hard not to be exposed to that and who knows what else. I ended up reaching out to the restaurant and spoke to Linda. I'm really glad I did. She took great care of me and honestly if it wasn't for the unpleasant delivery service experience, I wouldn't have had the chance of knowing how tasty their meals are!!! I ordered salmon avocado and also got some! I definitely recommend checking out their food for anyone who hasn't tried it before! This was my first experience and will seek them out in the future! Service is up and beyond. Linda - if you're reading this, THANK YOU! read more

After two days of heavy duty sightseeing, we decided to give Chopsmith at the Wharf a whirl. The menu looked interesting, the prices reasonable, and it was close to our hotel. It did not disappoint. And in this day of contactless dining, we decided to be brave and actually go TO the restaurant and dine in - what a concept. We will have to try it again. I had the salmon BLT and my wife had the Grilled Kale Caesar, something I would never have ordered. She enjoyed it, talked me into having a bite and - surprise, surprise - I liked it to.
