Just a short and sweet review here…read more Honestly, I used to work here, and I think the kitchen staff is amazingly talented! If you order off the regular menu, it's hit or miss, but if you order a special, it's usually fantastic. The flatbreads are generous and delicious, the burgers are well-made, the salads are huge, and can make two meals, and are very very good. But they're really great at though is catering. If I were you, I would have every event at the space. Their event coordinator is amazing and the food that they make for events is delicious. I love the staff here. They're kind, knowledgeable, and they make great drinks. Lastly, you can't beat the view here. It's not called the view for nothing. The golf course is beautiful and the view from the restaurant is so lovely especially in the summers when you can sit out on the deck.

There was no chunks of broccoli and not sure what I was eating. The bread cold and like cardboard. Dessert is usually a hit...but I pay for soup and want better. The restaurant, opened earlier this year, has a decor reminiscent of a New York establishment, hence the name. Nice long seating area with a view of the skilled bartenders. Reviewing the list of wine and spirits, it would match just about any restaurant in Portland or San Francisco. Many wine selections from around the world, and one of the longest list of spirits I've seen. Even the wines by the glass offered a good selection. Our waiter was Reed, and he was pleasant, helpful and professional. I had a flank steak, my wife the tuna dish. We supplemented these with the brussels sprouts, made with a unique topping, as well as the creamy mashed potatoes. Both almost a meal by themselves. My steak was done perfectly and cooked on an open fire to add to the taste. If you are looking for a great meal in Bend, don't miss out on The Hudson.

Tender, not gamey, cooked for 5 plus hours until so beautifully rendered I would swear they coaxed fat out of it that doesn't exist. Sauces were delicious, especially the horseradish. The duck fat fries and watermelon salad were also winners. I was worried about ordering oysters this far from the ocean but whoever they are sourcing from did a great job. Delicious. Cocktails and dessert rounded out an exceptional meal and service was relaxed and attentive. We'll be back for sure next time we're in town.

This was our first visit to The McArthur, the newer restaurant on the FivePine property. We were…read moreexcited to try it while staying at FivePine for the weekend. The staff was friendly and personable, and the menu looked promising. We ordered the steamed mussels, beet salad, McArthur burger, and wild mushrooms. The burger was probably the highlight of the meal. Mine was a little more done than I prefer, but it was still very good. The beet salad was enjoyable, though not particularly memorable. The mussels were okay, but several were chewier than I'd expect. The biggest disappointment was the wild mushrooms. I was expecting something that would showcase the variety and flavor of wild mushrooms. Instead, the texture and taste reminded me of the canned mushrooms I grew up eating as a kid. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. We passed on dessert and left feeling a little underwhelmed given the prices and the setting. Would we come back? Probably not. In fact, when we were deciding where to eat the following night with friends, we suggested Three Creeks Brewing instead. If you found this review helpful, give it a like so it can help others too.

I really liked the ambiance here and it was perfect for a fun birthday celebration. Huge space so lots of room for big parties - there's a separate room but also large tents with tables. We also ordered the pork belly and bone marrow as apps; each were very good especially the bone marrow. Service was spot on and their cocktails are good too.

Truly a very disappointing experience, especially compared to our overall experience here at…read moreBrasada Ranch. I'll start with the positives, and that to say that the view is stunning. I highly recommend eating either by the windows or outside if weather permits. Now onto everything else. Firstly, when we got there they said that it would take half an hour to be seated. That's fine, we were a table of 4, so I understand if they needed space to open up before we could be seated. The disappointing part is that when we finally were seated the entire dining room was empty. Now I do understand that there may have been a shift change or something behind the scenes that would have caused this, and if this was the only thing that went wrong I don't think I would've thought much about it. Secondly when we finally ordered food, both my wife and I ordered their burger. 15 minutes later the waitress came back out to inform us that they no longer have the ingredients for the burger. Again, this would normally be fine since we'd pick another menu item. But when your menu only has 10 or so items, that isn't a lot to pick from. Lastly was the wait time. After all of this, we still had to wait an additional hour, and our party was restless as we had an event to attend to. So we asked to have our food to go. The lady, who i presumed to be the manager, was not unfriendly; but was definitely not helpful in the situation. As she proceeded to gas light us into thinking we had only been there for half an hour. The food itself was fine, but you are also paying a decent amount, so I would expect the food to atleast be fine? I mean the burger is $50. " All in all, thoroughly disappointing affair. There are 2 restaurants at Brasada, and I'd highly recommend the other one.

I'd suggest checking out their website as well, it shares their personality of this restaurant. We visited on a Tuesday night shortly after they opened. The place was busy, full of happy people, and the energy was great. We sat at the bar and patiently waited for the staff--understandably busy with a full house. The service was wonderful, and the drinks were fantastic. We ordered the shrimp tacos, and they were delicious--definitely worth it! I also really appreciate that they support local vendors, like Sisters Smoke House and Sisters Bakery. We had a great experience and will definitely be back!
