Sussex county fair. The worst thing I ever put in my mouth the "bacon cheeseburger balls" nothing about it was good served with ketchup not even a creative sauce to hide the taste of the bogus ingredients and off-putting flavors with burnt fryer oil taste. Rethink your business. $14. Ripoff

Super delicious crunchy balls of happiness. The crisp was perfect and they were moist inside. Great flavor and the guy running it was so much fun. Got the bacon cheeseburger ones and they were great!

    Chicken parm! Delicious!

Tried Chompers at a food truck festival recently. Absolutely delicious. I ordered the chicken parm (you get 5 balls for $10 - really fair price) and they were super tasty. Perfect crunch, perfect crisp, incredibly moist and flavorful on the inside. They aren't all greasy and heavy, and the coating is just right - not super light and airy but enough to still feel like a guilty pleasure. They hold together really well so eating them was easy and you don't get messy, which is awesome for something like this, especially at a festival or fair type event. I look forward to seeing these guys elsewhere and trying other flavors!

We stumbled upon this food truck at the Woodstock Fair in Woodstock CT Labor Day weekend. We were excited to try some new food as the fair seems to not limit the number of vendors selling the same foods. There are 5 places selling roast beef and 20 selling French fries. So when we saw this place we knew we had to try it. It is $10 for 5 balls of crunchy goodness. Let me start by saying it IS worth the money. The down side is you can't mix and match which stinks and that is the reason I am giving them 4 stars. They have the following to try Bacon Cheeseburger Chicken parmigiana Taco As a group of 3 we wanted to try all the trees so I could give a thorough review but I did not want to order 15 balls and pay $30. A sampler would be a great addition and could help business because people would be able to try and if they like buy more orders. We tried the bacon cheeseburger and you get a zesty ketchup to dip. These things were like balls of heaven. So crunchy on the outside and the filling was so gooey and you could taste all the flavors. This food truck is a brilliant idea. I find myself wanting to find them in other festivals just to eat more and try the other flavors to see if they are as good. Heck I am thinking of booking a food truck fundraiser at my sons school and making them the main truck.

There is a parking lot for about 20-ish cars. There are a few picnic tables, trash cans, and restrooms. Across the street is the Farmington River trail in Burlington, CT. We came here on a Saturday for dinner to check it out. There were a few cars and people. Since it's new, there was an ice cream truck, taco truck, Little Axe farm stand, and a beverage vendor. I know it's still new so I see a lot of potential of this place being a popular spot and I'm assuming more food trucks coming soon!

At your favorite park, at fairs and festivals all over the state, and at a growing number of food truck parks. What's a food truck park? Well, it's pretty much like an outdoor shopping mall lined with food trucks instead of stores. We visited a fairly new one today - the River Glenn Park on Canton Road (Route 179) in Burlington. Our first impression was extremely favorable. It is very well organized, with a gravel lot, marked traffic flow lanes, and plenty of parking. They have a large restroom facility, and plenty of brand-new wood picnic tables with bench seating and wood dining tables with conventional chairs. The food trucks on premises rotate on schedule, and today we saw a Taco Shack truck, a Cowboy Butter BBQ truck, a Wiener Time cart, and a Little Axe Market stand. We both had lunch from the Taco Shack, and each went for a "Three Tacos for $13" special. They offer nine different tacos, and the special lets you mix or match any three for $13. The choices are pretty cool - Classic Beef, Chicken, Pork, Crispy Chicken, Buffalo Crispy Chicken, El Diablo, Sweet Potato, and Deep-Fried Pickle. My wife went with sweet potato, chicken and pork, while I went with pork, Buffalo Crispy Chicken and an El Diablo. I love spice, and the El Diablo promised plenty of heat with spicy rubbed chicken, sriracha, sriracha crème, and fresh jalapenos. Honestly, it disappointed me -it was barely spicy at all, and the fresh jalapenos were nowhere to be found. On the other hand, the Buffalo Crispy Chicken was great. It had a good-sized chicken tender with some hi-test hot sauce slathered inside the taco. It was by far my favorite. Now, listen up because the food trucks don't sell drinks. Instead, you need to go over to the Little Axe Market stand that sells cans and bottles of soda, along with fresh tomatoes and baskets of mums. A 20-ounce bottle of Diet Coke cost us $3.50. We grabbed a picnic table, enjoyed the beautiful day, chatted with a lovely lady who was there with her dog, enjoyed our tacos, and drank our $3.50 bottle of soda. Well done, River Glenn Park. Thanks for a very positive first visit.

If the thought of tropical Caribbean cuisine interests you, zip on over for some very good jerk chicken, beef or chicken patties, empanadas, plantains, mac and cheese, Spanish rice, a slew of sandwiches, tropical juices and frozen coladas. Your hosts will be Mike and Dee and I'll bet you a nickel they'll be the sweetest people you've meet all month. Mike is the front counter gent, Dee does the cooking and we had such a wonderful time shooting the breeze with them. We split a terrific chicken empanada as a starter (just $4) and it was flaky and juicy and just freaking great. My wife went for a Grilled Chicken Sandwich ($10) -a huge portion of chicken on a roll with tomato and field greens. I went for a Caribbean Platter (meat and Spanish Rice and four Sweet Plantains). I got the large size ($17) with spicy jerk pork. It was awesome! The rice was very good served with Jamaican style peas and olives, the four sweet plantains were excellent, and so was the shredded jerk pork. Half the portion was plenty for me. So, when I consider the quality, the value, and the customer service, it's hard to find any faults at all. Thanks Mike and Dee for a great meal that served nicely to kick off our pre-Hurricane Henri weekend. Please go support these two sweet people and the labor of love they create for your dining pleasure.

I drove about 40 minutes to get there, and when I arrived, I learned that they were closed for their first ever private Baby Shower party. I was crushed. But this story has a rated PG Happy Ending. I called the restaurant and spoke to Amy. I explained that I had driven a ways and asked if they could make me a pizza to go. They didn't take long to tell me that they would make me the first pizza of the day before the shower got into Full Swing. I was grateful for their hospitality, and terrific wood-fired pizza. I was inside briefly. They have plenty of seating and a bar that with decor suggesting a love of music. I ordered the Mama Mia and ate a couple slices outside. It had sliced meatball, roasted red pepper, mozzarella and ricotta on a good chewy Wood Fired Crust. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. The red sauce had bright flavor. The ricotta was creamy and fluffy. Brick and Basil is well respected in pizza circles, and I can see why. It started as a food truck. But a food truck that starts with the word Brick, was bound to have a Brick and Mortar. And we're lucky they do. 5 Stars

I spent some time chatting with Julian, Happy Tail's friendly and engaging proprietor. She explained that the coffee shop will be there for most days into December, then will take a hiatus for the winter. I ordered a 12-ounce iced White Chocolate Pistachio Latte for $6.17, and it was so good I kind of wished I had upgraded to a 16-ouncer. It had a distinct pistachio flavor, and the chocolate component was noticeable but not overpoweringly sweet. It was fantastic. I can't recommend Happy Tail's enough. My latte was great, and I really enjoyed meeting and chit-chatting with Julian. I'm sure you'll enjoy both as well.

The Mushroom pizza was loaded with mushrooms, ricotta, fontina and mozzarella cheeses. The crust is thin and this pizza is delicious. Parking the car I happen to notice very nice outside seating in the backyard, and walking up to the restaurant, the wonderful smell of the different meats and smoker happening! My order was placed for a beef brisket sandwich, that includes a side order of coleslaw, for $14.95. The fountain drink was $3.50. So for $20, I felt this was not a mistake driving all the way out here Let me tell you, the beef brisket had a lovely char ring, with pink juicy color inside . This generous portion was served on a lovely soft sandwich roll, along with the requested spicy barbecue sauce on the side. The juiciness and taste of this wonderful beef brisket exploding in my mouth told me I made a wonderful choice. Also accompanying the sandwich was a small order of coleslaw, that was both sweet and vinegary, with nice crunchy cabbage. This was delicious also. The service was extremely quick, almost like it was fast food, I think the sandwich was served me within two minutes. This was unexpected and appreciated.
