I'm not sure if it was a shift change or just timing, but even though the restaurant wasn't very busy, it felt like we were left a bit on the side for a while. Nothing major, just something noticeable. Also, while the food is creative and well made, some items felt a bit pricey for the portion size (for example, a meatball serving), so value may depend on what you order. That said, it definitely wouldn't stop me from coming back. Good food, good beer selection, and overall a solid spot.

I would bring everyone there. When they opened the new location in Windsor , it was still great. It was a birthday outing type of thing. I went again last week, which was likely my final time. For the past few years, I've been giving it a pass... growing pains, maybe? But the food is not what it was. The succulent, juicy brisket that I used to dream of has been dry and cold for the last year or so (probably 3 or 4 visits). The burnt ends, which used to be as addictive, are now no longer made from brisket...but what seems to be cubed chuck...again, dry. Texas sausage and pulled pork are still ok, as are the sides. On top of that, they are always short staffed, and the staff that they do have is not helpful...not friendly.. Just a big NOT anymore. I haven't been to the Hartford or New Haven locations recently, but as far as Windsor is concerned, it will not be going back anytime soon. I don't mind paying the premium prices for quality food and service, but you are no longer premium. Please figure this out. My favorite place no longer exists.. and I really want it to return to the quality of the past.

The seasoned beef is rich and savory, perfectly balanced by the creamy, melty cheese inside. Every bite delivers a warm, hearty filling wrapped in a crisp shell that holds up beautifully. Comforting, bold, and incredibly easy to love. Garlic Parm Chicken Bites Tender, juicy chicken coated in a garlic-forward parmesan crust that brings both crunch and flavor. The garlic is assertive without overpowering, and the parmesan adds that salty, nutty finish that keeps you reaching for the next piece. They're addictive in the best way. Maple Bacon Mac & Cheese Croquettes These are pure indulgence in bite-sized form. The creamy mac and cheese interior is already luxurious, but the hint of maple sweetness paired with smoky bacon takes it over the top. Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside--each croquette is a little pocket of decadence. Parmesan Truffle Fries A standout side on their own, these fries hit that perfect balance of crisp exterior and fluffy center. The truffle aroma is inviting without being overwhelming, and the parmesan provides a salty, umami-rich layer that ties everything together. Elevated yet comforting. Overall This entire selection delivers a mix of comfort, creativity, and crave-worthy flavor. I've seen this hot dog cart on the side of Day Hill Road a few times, and in the interest of beefing up the old Yelp data base, I swung by today and grabbed a dog for the good of Yelpdom. Its a tiny menu of dogs, sausage, kielbasa with the usual add-ons (chili, cheese, peppers and onions) plus bags of Utz chips and a few drinks. Hot dogs are $2.50, but the sausage and Kielbasa are a surprising $5. I ordered a dog with peppers and onions and a bag of Utz chips for $3.75. The dog was pretty good- a solidly good dog in terms of taste, texture, and snap; served in a soft fresh roll. But the onions and peppers were awful -mushy and bland and steamed to death. They had no taste whatsoever. The proprieter was pleasant, and it was an OK stop. Maybe I'll be back, but I probably won't. Hours are limited- Monday to Friday from 10:30-2:30
