Service was excellent. I personally thought the prices were really high for the area. Burgers were $16-$18. Wings were around $12 for 5. I'm not saying don't try it out. Writing this review because I just ate a burger at another restaurant and all I could think about was what Chomp would've done! The waffle fries always come out hot and ready to eat! And that spicy Mayo/ranch sauce is to DIE for. I wish I had that in my fridge! Wow, this place is great! From the atmosphere to the service and most importantly the FOOD this place has it all! Their burgers come with your choice of coleslaw, homemade soup or hand cut fries; decisions, decisions y'all. On today's visit I had the queens blueberry burger and omg it was delicious, I was nervous but the flavors go to together like pb & j! This spot on the north edge of downtown is a nice addition to the Adrian dining scene, which is generally rather limited and in need of good quality, beyond-the-ordinary options. While at the beginning the staff at Chomp struggled somewhat to find consistency, by our second or third visit, I surmised they were in good form. We have been here four or five times now and they cintinue to get better. The facility is quite nice as the dining room offers agreeable decor. The open kitchen scheme also adds to the contemporary feel of the atmosphere. This all creates a pleasant ambiance in which to enjoy a meal. The menu unsurprisingly features burgers of all sorts. We have taken a shine to the Queen's Blueberry Burger and the Pesto Empire Burger. The specialty fries add a nice dimension as the Garlic Fries are particularly intriguing. The choices of meats to substitute for hamburger allows for interesting choices. Options such as chicken, bison, elk, boar and venison create potentially unique tastes. A black bean veggie selection is also available. The bun types and the multitude of condiments complete the picture as the number of combinations are impressive. In addition to the burgers and fries, grilled cheese, hot dogs, salads and sides such as mac-and-cheese provide alternative mains and complementary items. While inconsistent when the restaurant opened, the service has gotten better with time. What has not changed is that the servers have always been polite and have given good effort. The prices are not unreasonable as one can normally have a meal here for about $12 - $25 per person including drinks, tax and tip. Our last visit was $111 for five people ($22.20 per person). If you are in Adrian and enjoy burgers, this place is worth trying. The dining experience will not be same-old-same-old. And by my judgment, it is a good value for the overall experience. read more

We stopped here for dinner on our wine tour. This place and one other was recommended by one of the wineries . There are plenty of options for burgers and the type or meat that you want. The prices are slightly higher than average. Overall it was a good burger. It seemed a little small for the price we paid. The onion rings were hand battered . The nachos were good. Stopped in driving through Adrian. What a nice surprise. Greeted quickly and guided to distanced seating was a plus. Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable; however NO MASK honestly freaked me about little. We ate outside in the ample outdoor eating space. The pick 3 was fresh and so many great choices. We got a porta bella sandwich, fried chicken salad and loaded potato soup. The porta bella was a delicious cross between grilled cheese and a melt with huge grilled onions. The chicken fingers were some of the best I've ever tried; so plump and juicy with a crispy batter that was full of flavor! I ordered the Blueberry barbecue sauce: spicy with berries in place of tomato base. OUT OF THIS wORLD. Get this! Ranch was also homemade as were the fries again seasoned perfectly. Im from Ohio. In town for some meetings, and decided to check this place out...it took a few minutes to get service at the bar. Ordered my beer and got a menu. Decided to drink my beer and then ordered. Burger was fantastic. The condiments not so much. The fries were over fried. They were dry and crispy and salty. Finished my beer, I asked for my check and left. One of the best places in Adrian to get an above average burger. Awesome food, variety of drinks, and service. Our waitress was attentive even during a busy dinner rush. I did see a bartender/server frequently not wearing a mask or improperly wearing/removing it frequently. It made me uncomfortable, as well as a general lack of urgency toward COVID-19 policies. There was a time I did see her put a mask on but seemed as if she was told to - and began removing it every chance she got. This was my first time dining at Chomp, and to be honest, I'm not much of a burger joint girl. We made reservations, as we had a party of 13, 7 of which were kids. When we arrived, they weren't ready for us as the large party before us hadn't left and was taking forever. They felt HORRIBLE. They offered us a few other seating options, but we weren't in a rush, it was gorgeous outside, so we were totally happy just to relax and wait. They brought out two baskets of nachos and cheese for us because they felt so bad. It was not at all needed, but was totally delicious. We were seated about 20 minutes later and guys... the menu is amazing. So many sandwiches and burgers and meat choices and cocktails and fries and holy shit. Just so much! The guys got awesome beer flights and I ordered the fresh strawberry mule, which was delicious. I went with the H.G. Wells Mushroom Burger and it was in the top 3 best burgers I've had in my life. My daughter had the kids mac n cheese, and loved it. My son had the BLT salad, it was HUGE. My other son did the make your own nachos, also HUGE. The food was amazing. Frankly, I'm frustrated the portions were so big I didn't get to try a milkshake. There was no room inside of me. The best food and amazing staff, I can't wait to go back and try more of this menu. This is a really cute spot. The bar seats are HUGE and comfy. I walked in on a Thursday at 1:00. Maybe 3 or 4 other tables were occupied. I had never been here before but let me tell you I'll be back. We recently moved to the area and have not found many places that deliver on quality and service. We waited quite a bit to give this place a go after reading all the negatives. We live locally. We stopped in this evening as they weren't busy. Wait staff was nothing but helpful and prompt. Very knowledgeable about their beers. The selection was great! I had Mac n cheese with garlic cilantro fries. Both were packed with flavor. Fries could have been warmer. Delish none the less. Next visit we'll request they're served fresh out of the fryer. Husband had burger special with creamy coleslaw. Both were great! Music and decor are wonderfully refreshing in these parts. Prices/portions are very comparable. Not sure if things have improved during busy times. If we gone during those times I'll update the post. Three different varieties in our group and I was fortunate enough to taste them all!! Our group ordered quite a variety of food from burgers to mac and cheese (and full salads in between). I loved the atmosphere and the food at this place but the service is why I unfortunately could not give it 5 stars. The waitress my boyfriend and I had seemed to not know what she was doing and when she needed help with something she avoided it all together versus asking for help. I asked to see if we could change a channel on one tv for a basketball game and she never even ended up asking to see if that could be done for me, We were never given waters even when we asked for them, and when I showed her the coupon to get a free appetizer after checking in on Yelp she said she didn't know how to do that and then ended up trying to charge me for the app instead of asking another worker on how to give me the discount. I definitely want to come back to this restaurant but would hope to get better service the next time around. read more

This is a different kind of place in Adrain, Michigan. If you know the area, it is very different than what you usually find here. They have a nice menu, but definitely focuses on their burgers. They did not go cheap on the seating. Nice. It was clean and good use of space. The person who sat us was very welcoming and excited to see us. However, the service overall was not great. It took a long time to get orders in and out orders were not all correct. The server was nice, but service slow. It wasn't busy by any means. Only a few tables with a few people at them. They have a wonderful option of burgers for carnivores and vegetarians alike. My husband had a burger with venison. My dad had beef. My mom had the bison. I had the black bean burger. There was very little seasoning on the meat (even salt and pepper). Otherwise, the meats were good. The black bean burger had great potential, but was so DRY it literally crumbled the minute I put the bun on. So, I had to eat it with my fork from my plate. They were out of elk. My hubby was sad. The onion rings were average. Batter very thick. Onions very large and thick. The fries were delicious. We were there during happy hour. Nice deal on mixed drinks. Too bad were couldn't enjoy! Great food and great service. We had a little bit of a wait but a huge party was just finishing up when we got there. We started with the fried mushrooms app and it came out really hot and delicious. My husband had the crispy chicken salad which he liked. I had the Queen's Blueberry burgee with a side of Mac & cheese fries. I did go with another reviewer and ordered it without the maple syrup. The burger was phenomenal. The blueberry bbq has just a bit of a kick and was balanced by the brie. The Mac and cheese on the fries was delicious. I could have ate that on its own. Other reviewers says they had a huge beer selection. I didn't find that to be true. I believe there were only 8 on tap. It was a good mix but nothing that really stood out. I tried 3 of them and didn't care for any of them. They did have the Vanilla Java Porter which I do love but it was just too heavy for that kind of meal so my husband and I split a Rochester Red. Spent well over an hour plus to get an ice cold burger for $17 that was smaller than a Mcdonald's patty and also wasn't seasoned period. Our waitress was the sweetest / cutest / most friendly young woman - all the staff we saw wore masks and were very respectful of safety / sanitization. Gears & old-fashioned lighting fixtures along w/a large aquarium right in the middle of the bar. The ladies bathroom was very clean (which is a big deal!) & was decorated w/cool lighting fixtures & a fun mirror. The menu selection is quite abundant. Many different burger choices that looked good so several visits to try everything that sounded good will be necessary. I ended up trying the Mac n Cheese & a half Chicken BLT salad w/ranch. The bacon on the salad was so good. The Mac n Cheese was flavorful & creamy. I enjoyed a Canyon Road Moscato & it too was delicious. The waitress was very friendly & attentive. Went in here right before the Covid crisis in March. This place is a Gem. Atmosphere is amazing. Lots to look at and an aquarium behind the bar. Decor is a cyberpunk theme. The food menu is different, like bar food in the sense you can get hamburgers and wings but on a grand scale and much higher standards as you'd see in the fanciest of restaurants. I wish I could describe this place better cause I know I'm not doing it justice. The food is phenomenal. You've got to come in here and see it for yourself. read more
