I visited atlas with my family back home for the holidays. I love that there is a trendy option near Jackson, with fun food options. We experienced about an hour wait before we were seated, they were really busy. The wait after we ordered was a bit frustrating, it was about an hour until our food arrived. The server was attentive and apologetic but they must have been super backed up. I started with the cherry ginger beer mocktail and it tasted like cherry soda. I ordered the Greek salad and found it to be a little heavy on the chickpeas but the dressing was good and light. We started with the lemon ricotta & bread- it was really tasty but the way that it was served was a little awkward in a small jar. As a shareable, it would be easier in a more open bowl, easier for more people to access. We also got the lamb meatballs and it came with pita and tzatziki- I enjoyed it (not spicy fyi). My sister got the miso salmon and I had food envy, that was the best dish at our table. It had a really nice sweet glaze on it with rice and broccolini. read more

Ahhh it pains me to write this especially since this place is in a small town and they've obviously put in an effort to make it beautiful. Truth is though...a restaurant is about eating, right? There's no half a star option so gotta go with 2. First, as you can see from the photos the place is absolutely beautiful. The service was top notch! Kind and welcoming hostess as we entered and greetings from a different one as we left. Server Chelsea (Chelsea P I think) was absolute perfection. I'm glad I finally remembered to get the server's name to give recognition where due. The food though.... My NA drink was beautiful and kudos to them for having options. If I remember correctly though it was $12 and the serving was so small. It was good, not excellent. Can get an alcoholic drink for $12. Maybe not here? Didn't check. Greek appetizer plate for $18....hummus, tzatziki olives feta cheese and bread were great. The portions of hummus and tzatziki were incredibly small. Basically a ramiken. The tomatoes and apricots were not good, and looking back at the menu description I'm realizing we didn't get peppers on ours. Lamb burger and upgrade to parmesan fries. I've never had a bad lamb burger or parmesan fries in my life...til now. The burger had zero flavor and same with the fries. The fries were warm when served and immediately went cold. Had me thinking they weren't cooked fresh. Our server was kind enough to offer some house made chips that would normally come with the burger so that we could taste them (if we didn't do the upgrade to fries). They were ok, but personally I don't come to a restaurant to eat chips. I hate that over the past couple years the trend with restaurants is to give you chips and make you pay if you want fries. Can get chips at a gas station. I digress. Lemongrass Grilled Chicken sandwich. I was really excited for my husband to get this but he too was incredibly disappointed. Hardly any chicken, no flavor, lots of bread that overwhelmed the sandwich. He was disappointed in his quickly cold fries as well. All in all with tax and tip a $75 bill which is just crazy for what we had/the quality. The worst $75 ever spent on a meal. I grew up in Brooklyn and never thought there would be a restaurant like this in the village. I think I went 5 times while I was visiting over three weeks. A few of the times were just for drinks but I thought the cocktails were really good. The food that I had was all excellent. I recommend the salmon dish. This place gets busy so I recommend getting there early especially on the weekends. I was shocked how busy it was in the winter. I can't imagine what it's like in the summer. Overall, I was blown away by Atlas. I hope they stay open for years to come. read more

Visiting from Colorado Small town meets finer dining. Very nice menu for all types of consumers. Full bar and a great look inside and out with plenty of seating. Bar service and waitstaff were on point all night! Sweet Potato street tacos, Steak Frites and the Cubano Sandwich were all hot delicious and savory for my company. The sweet potato street tacos were a perfect blend of black beans and sweet potatoes with a nice crunch from the cauliflower. The Cashew and Crema sauce gave it a nice compliment of flavors on every bite. The housemade ketchup was very sweet and unique for the fries and chips. Good service and worth the wait. read more

Popular restaurant so make sure you have a reservation on the weekend or you'll have a decent wait. We arrived at 7:40pm on a Saturday and was quoted a 45 minute wait for a party of 2. We were able to grab a beverage from the bar and waited in the comfortable waiting area. We were seated in about 30 minutes. Nice surprise! We ordered the Greek Chicken Platter and the Greek Lamb Burger with the upgraded Parmesan Fries. Food came out in about 20 minutes. The portion sizes were spot on. The chicken was a little bit dry and the naan was a bit burnt on one side but then again, we could see how busy the kitchen was. The rest of the platter was well prepared. The hummus was on the thicker/drier side if that's how you like your hummus. The Greek Lamb Burger was spot on for temperature and taste and the fries were perfect. The drink menu has a lot of fun options unless you're looking for non-alcoholic beverages. Then there are only a handful of options...a few wines by the glass and beer. However the grab and go area had a huge variety of both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Service was timely despite a very busy evening of tables. Great looking new place in town! Been opened for over a year now and probably the biggest problem is parking in downtown Brooklyn when they get busy. You can make reservations but they also have open seating so take your chance! Excellent food, presentation, and selection. Great liquor selection and cool looking bar. Small market and some comfortable seating around edges if waiting or just relaxing with a drink. Eat here on a regular basis but it is a bit on the pricey side!!!! read more

The vibe is upscale for the area. The price matches the more upscale dining for a small town. The food is decent and service was pretty good. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is deafening. Totally impossible to carry on a conversation at the table. I recommend a lunch time visit when not so busy and less alcohol flowing. Beautiful design! Very welcoming vibe! I'm loving the decor! Boho chic with a touch of glam. Service was excellent. I had the Salmon, it comes on a bed of white rice and it's glazed lightly. The Salmon was excellent but the rice was dry crunchy and I asked my friend if hers was fluffy and soft, and she says it was hard and crunchy. The steak my hubby had was not good it lacked flavor. I was surprised to find a rather upscale restaurant in the small town of Brooklyn. The decor is contemporary modern with a beautiful bar center stage. The libation selections were impressive with better whiskeys and bourbons. Service was spot on knowledgeable and friendly. I was a little underwhelmed by the menu options though. The appetizers we ordered were delicious however the main dishes we ordered were overly seasoned so that the main ingredient was indistinguishable. We will visit again. read more

The bartender came up and greeted us, then said she wouldn't wait on us because our table would be ready shortly...she was very curt and rude! Fortunately the other bartender was already waiting on the rest of the party so he got us one. Btw she would have to mix our drinks when we ordered them from our table so I didn't really understand why she was so dismissive. Fortunately our waitress was very good. We stopped in today, Sunday, around 2pm to miss the rush, because this place, new and exciting here in Brooklyn, gets very busy. We tried last Saturday but there was a one hour-forty five minute wait... so we went today instead and were seated immediately. Atlas Restaurant and Bar is new, bright, spacious and airy. They seemed well-staffed and they worked together to keep us satisfied! There are many interesting options on both sides of the menu. One side is food and the other is an extensive list of beverages of every type to satisfy everyone from the lush to the teetotaler. We tried the french onion soup and the honey-pistachio ricotta spread for apps. They were both pretty good. Lots of cheese on the soup, and plenty of spread for the amount of toasts. The lamb burger was delicious. Nice soft bun, tender, flavorful, and juicy patty spiced perfectly. The fries could've had more parmesan flavor, but we weren't complaining. The cuban sandwich was good. Served on a crusty baguette and featuring a bit of pulled pork, it had the requisite pickles, mustard, and ham. The house-made chips were crispy, but I like mine a little lighter. For dessert we shared a slice of chocolate cake. It was a nice size portion and was drizzled with raspberry coulis and a plump fresh raspberry on top. It was excellent. This was our first visit, and we live pretty close by. Run, don't walk to Atlas Restaurant & Bar. I was in Brooklyn for a family event and had the opportunity to dine at Atlas. From our warm welcome from Autumn, we 100% enjoyed our evening. Jill was our server - she was welcoming, professional, personable, and helpful. We started with an appetizer (Ahi Tower) and beverages. The taste and presentation of the tower was delicious. Fresh, flavorful, hit all the right notes. My sister had an Elderflower mocktail which she raved about. I had the Bourbon Peach Smash - a home run. Our entrees did not disappoint - again, fresh, flavorful, ample portions. My sister had the May special - Orzo spring green salad and added salmon. She enjoyed everything about it especially the perfectly-cooked asparagus. She had enough to take home for another meal. I enjoyed the Atlas Bowl with the chicken, veggies, cauliflower rice, and citrus aioli. The Atlas Bowl was a feast and I enjoyed my leftovers the next day for lunch. I'm here for a long weekend and I'm scheming how I can get back into Atlas for drinks, appetizers, dinner, or all of the above! It was wonderful seeing the bar and restaurant full on a Wednesday night - great energy and appeared other patrons were enjoying themselves as much as my sister and I. A previous reviewer described the atmosphere as loud/noisy. A full restaurant of talking patrons contributes to noise. Had a 7pm reservation- got seated immediately- then sat there for 20 min before waitress arrived with water ( waitress shirt was not clean and I thought should we leave now because that is a sign of lacking hygiene) decided to over look - thought at least we have water - water was tap and room temp - we are not in Europe- ice or have a pre chill system. Notice table behind us who was seated prior to us when she just gave them water- was also waiting for service- thought to myself this is going to be an interesting first visit possibly last. Agree with all the comments very loud place need some more sound muffling material on walls and ceiling, huge opportunity- one person at our table has hearing issues and was very uncomfortable to participate in the conversation. This needs to be solved. Ordered cocktails 25 min sitting at the table - 15 min after we dropped drinks we order appetizers. Appetizer arrived before the cocktails. Need to develop or higher more bar staff- this is your profit area, I normally have 3-4 and I only had 2 - can't speak for the rest but table of 4 only has two rounds. When appetizer was dropped we ordered our meal but felt like I had to ask to please wait to drop order, especially my salad because it looked like it would have come out prior to us completing appetizer. As soon as the appetizer was done waitress asked if it was okay to put in order, which was fine but a good waitress would understand back room timing and manger without asking. Salad came out min after she asked - so glad I did ask upfront to let us enjoy appetizer. Had time to review flow of restaurant waiting for main course. They have a group approach for bussing, which seemed to be a focus to turning tables, which I'm good with. I did not like seeing staff running back and forth with only them concentrating on their table - group waiting should also be applied which would improve service experience. Bringing food to the table used group approach- just need to apply to waitressing of tables. Also the back bar by kitchen was used to roll silverware into napkins- why do customers want to see this activity- that is back of house and needs to be out of sight of customers. Food arrived and that is when I was like this place has potential. Portions were good for price point. Flavors on point and it was delivered with group approach. That saved my opinion. Waitress informed us the only dessert was chocolate cake - seriously one choice for dessert- need more depth, we passed Fix time to get cocktails, use cold water if you're serving water, ensure staff is clean, accidents happen have clean shirts accessible if shirts needs to be changed, waiters staff is first impression of how hygiene is represented. Get more bar tenders, you had too many busters busting table - bar tenders make happy customers. Solve noise levels to ensure that people don't have to yell to be heard at a table for four as well as to have everyone can participate.
