We ordered the fried cauliflower as an appetizer and the only flavor was the ranch dressing and the old oil it was fried in. Another vegetarian in the group ordered the mac and cheese bites, only to find out after that they have bacon (not listed). We ended up ordering a grilled cheese and fries from the kid's menu. Our server was very nice and the old building is cool.

We were greeted by our friendly server Barb and the cadence of the meal was perfect. We started with the breaded mushrooms - perfectly fried with a crunchy exterior and the mushrooms fully cooked. Our entrees - the Reuben with onion rings - the bread had a great grill on it. Kept the sandwich from being soggy! The onion rings were again just about perfect. No sliding onion rings after the first bite here! I had the Hanover Backwoods Burger and wow was it tasty. The fries were good (I believe double fried with a good crunch) but the burger was the star of this meal for me. If we're in the area again we'll be back!

This place is my local dive. Manchester Village is a place from a bygone era, maybe not far back,…read morebut not updated either, a good place to relax. The Tap always has at least a few locals shooting the breeze, and a no-nonsense staff who get to you as soon as they can. There's nothing fancy about this place, but I'm gonna tell you, their burgers are what I'm looking for. Tonight they got my burger wrong, but it was good anyway, and I didn't complain! My tolerance was rewarded when an anonymous patron bought a round for the whole place! That won't happen at Buffalo Wild Wings, eh? The Village Tap is a great little classic Michigan watering hole. Drive the backroads and you'll surely find another place like this. But when you're in Manchester stop in here. Get a burger. Get some fries. Shoot a game of pool. Play some tunes on the jukebox. Say hello to Sabrina or Barbie, if they aren't rushing too hard! And don't forget to leave them a chunky tip. These girls hustle!

We each got a sandwich with a side of potato chips, a cup of soup and the fried pickles and two sodas. It has not been that long since a meal like this would cost, at the most, around $30 here. That's why we came here so often, a few years ago. Before Covid. That's with beer instead of soda. Our recent visit with this order was $70. Just keep driving and make your way to somewhere closer to town. To say I'm heartbroken is an understatement.

This place has 3 pool tables, an elevated seating section that's good for a private party, a bunch of tables near an electronic jukebox machine, a large, open bar with seating, and a square dance floor in the middle of the room surrounded by a metal railings and a bead curtain all around. This place had a higher ratio of women to men compared to Paddy's next door. The dance floor attracted people once in a while, but most people were there just to hang out and drink. They didn't allow drinks on the dance floor, so no wonder. I wish that Paddy's and Bourbon Street would combine membership so you could go between bars without paying 2 cover charges.

It is served with slices of baguette nicely toasted and a tasty tomato sauce was nice. We also tried the jalapeño burger and onion rings, that was a winner. Energy was low, and there were a few people in the dining area by the fireplace, and only 5 people at the bar, and that included us. Hoping things change and we can come back as regulars again. For now it's nice to have it as an option. Prices are a bit high, but then again isn't everything high nowadays? So just beware that you will be paying $19.00 for a burger and there's a charge for Onion Rings. They are tasty though so you get what you pay for.
