We enjoyed a lovely evening meal in a low noise setting. The Mushroom Cheeseburger included swiss cheese, nicely sauteed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, bread and butter pickles and mayo. The burger came with a side of fries, though you can upgrade to onion rings. The fish and chips special was spot on, with perfectly battered and cooked cod. Malt vinegar for the fries is available upon request. We decided to give it another chance a few weeks ago, and the ambiance and energy are not the same as it was before. The shrimp Santorini was good. It is served with slices of baguette nicely toasted and a tasty tomato sauce was nice. We also tried the jalapeño burger and onion rings, that was a winner. Energy was low, and there were a few people in the dining area by the fireplace, and only 5 people at the bar, and that included us. Hoping things change and we can come back as regulars again. For now it's nice to have it as an option. Prices are a bit high, but then again isn't everything high nowadays? So just beware that you will be paying $19.00 for a burger and there's a charge for Onion Rings. They are tasty though so you get what you pay for. read more

This was a regular hangout for us when it was Evans Street Station. The menu is very different now. While I miss having a "fine dining" restaurant in Tecumseh, this still comes close. The menu is a little sandwich heavy for me. But the entrees they do have are good. Tonight we had the steak bites (very good, especially when you dip them in a mix of the horseradish & BBQ sauces), pork chop, and chicken (it has a Greek name I can't spell). It was all yummy. The servers are all so very friendly and accommodating. This is well worth the stop. read more

Three of us stopped in after Appleumpkin on a Saturday night. We sat at the bar, but the place was dead. Maybe three tables and it was maybe 7pm. The bartender was nice and entertaining. Gave us good pours and wine recommendations. We ordered a couple appetizers that included the Brie, stuffed mushrooms and crab cake. The Brie was good though the cheese rind was very stiff and hard to cut through after baked. The stuffed mushrooms were awful. The stuffing was wet breading that was bland. The mushrooms too had no flavor. I love stuffed mushrooms and make all kind of varieties of them but these were exceptionally awful. I didn't bother trying the crab cake and left that to my friend. When we went to pay, they only had the food on the bill and got a shrug when we asked about it. So we tipped the amount we thought we'd owe one the drinks, thinking we understood the assignment here. Idk. Fine place for a drink. I'm highly suspect on the food. Fine dining establishment. Looks like it would be good for a celebration or date night. Met a friend in Tecumseh for lunch. First time for all of us. Great service and food. The menu is burgers, sandwiches, salads. We tried the Mac n cheese with feta, delicious and hot. We also had the cheese burger with bacon, the gyro and the station salad. The portions were very generous. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. A bright and open space makes this a pleasant place to eat. Fabulous food, great service, and on point hand crafted cocktails too. Our favorite is the Cajun chicken Fettuccine also the shrimp is delicious too we love it blackened. I enjoyed the station a lot! It was an old fire station turned restaurant, super cute on the inside and nicely redone. Large drink menu, the waiter was helpful on choosing drinks. We decided on spicy margs that were strong but still very good, and not too much of a kick! Bread and oil comes out before your meal. Lots to choose from on the menu! My husband and I went for dinner the other night. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip. It was fantastic. The texture was perfect and the pita chips were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. I ordered the filet mignon, medium rare, with a Caesar salad. The Caesar dressing is made in house and was the best i ever had. I could taste the anchovy just perfectly. The filet was a spot on medium rare wth incredible flavor. I enjoyed a very nice red blend with my dinner. My husband had the Mega Gyro and they're not kidding. It's huge! And the fries that come with it... yum! The Station is always amazing regarding his allergies and see careful to keep his food away from surfaces that his allergens have been cooked on. He has never had a reaction at this restaurant. Loving the expanded menu... but still miss that Potato Chowder! read more

Ambiance was nice. Mackenzie was great. Very friendly and helpful. That is where the good ends. Mackenzie spent the entire time scrambling to make up for the poor execution of the rest of the restaurant. No dinnerware on the tables, no spoons with the soup, no knives with the steaks. Steaks severally undercooked, fish and chicken severally overcooked and dry. We had a large table, some bumps are expected. However, this restaurant did very little to support their waitstaff, making Mackenzie make 4 separate trips to the kitchen to deliver main courses for 10 people. I would not recommend this restaurant, it is poorly managed. Most diners will provide you a more enjoyable dining experience. read more

We didn't see a sign about differing hours on the main back entrance from the parking lot. It looks like they haven't claimed their Yelp page yet. So perhaps management doesn't know their listed hours are wrong. But still, why would you be closed on a busy spring Saturday, when the few other sit-down restaurants in the area were packed? Apparently do not dine on a Sunday afternoon when there is a 20 party banquet going on and you are two of 8 people in the common dining area. We noticed the party as we came in but assumed it would not have any effect on our meals. It started well with our appetizer and two drinks and enjoying our 29th anniversary. The waiter did come and apologize for the wait because of the large party, we totally understand but the poor kitchen management of not squeezing our 2 meals in , again they were not busy other than that party , and waiting a half hour after we finished our appetizer and about an hour total that we were there before our meals came is not good service. I ended up bringing my meal home to warm up for later because I was no longer hungry. This was also our first time here and we will never be back. $100 gone with a negative experience the best part was just being with my best friend and husband of 29 years. read more

Went here for Father's Day Brunch. Wow. Never again. Let me preface this by saying our waitress was absolutely wonderful. She was not at all the reason for the otherwise astoundingly terrible service. First off, the place was clearly underprepared for the plated "buffet-style" situation (on a holiday, no less) that they dreamed up. There were only about 2-3 waitstaff for the entire dining room, where many tables were entire families. The kitchen was incredibly slow, and even the smaller things like drinks, refills, etc. were delayed because the waitstaff had to scramble to take care of the entire dining room. It was also not really made clear how the "buffet-style" ordering system worked; we were informed by our waitress at the table that we were also able to order sides like hashbrowns, eggs, etc. Yet, this was not listed on the menu anywhere, and wasted both her time and ours by having to clarify what we could and could not order. Menus were also taken after ordering the first round of food, again, despite the "buffet-style" ordering. Secondly, the quality of the food itself. I had a croque madame and it was underwhelming, and that's being generous. It was really no more than ham and cheese on toast with a single egg, completely unlike the pictures on the menu (this goes for just about every item on the menu). My grandmother ordered the croque monsieur and it was no more than a skimpy ham sandwich. The meat skewers as appetizers that we were randomly informed of, again, only at the table and not in advance, were okay at best. Third, THE PRICE. $40 per person for easily the worst quality and service my family has ever received while eating out. $200 for the table total, for food that anyone could easily surpass in terms of quality with Great Value ingredients at home. $40 for a measly ham and cheese sandwich. And before anyone mentions that price being for a buffet, we simply didn't have the time to order more and keep waiting on the heavily backed-up kitchen. We were here for almost 2 hours and only received our first order, and it took nearly 45 minutes for that. Tables also lacked basic condiments like ketchup, salt, and pepper until our waitress had to bring it out for us. This place has completely crumbled since changing ownership and reopening a few years ago. Horrifically overpriced, clearly upset and overworked waitstaff, and a very rude owner (head chef? unsure). We witnessed him berate a high school aged waiter. Makes me wonder how he treats the staff behind closed doors if he's stupid enough to do that in clear view and earshot of customers. I would give this trash heap zero stars if it was possible. Do not come here. Period. read more

My wife's chicken(CHICKEN PAIDAKIA)was very dry and inedible. New York strip had a large strip of gristle running the entire length of steak and a large piece of gristle at the fatter end. Informed wait staff of the dryness of the chicken and was told that the manager would speak to the kitchen. Nothing else, did not remove the chicken from the bill or offer a different item. This was our first time being at The Station. We were there around 3:00pm and the waitress was very friendly and checked on us often. We had the fish dinner which came with three large pieces of fish, homemade fries and coleslaw. You had plenty of food and it all tasted great! The fries are not your typical fries. It is more of a sliced potato deep fried. The outside was crisp and yet you got that great potato taste when chewing into it. We plan to go back and try out their other dishes. read more

Bummer We've been coming here for years when it was Evans street station. Never, ever, had a bad meal! Evah! Today we called in for a much anticipated delicious meal and ...Mwaa mwaaa. It was nice. But for the same prices as Evans street (which was WORTH it) we were let down Salmon was over cooked and dry. I think my great Lakes "White fish" was perch? $25 perch?!? We asked for some bread with our fish meals and we got cold dinner rolls. Like fridge to table cold. ?What?? So sad. We'll miss Evans street station. But not the 2 hour drive. We stopped here looking for a brunch place. The station was perfect. 4 stars instead of 5 due to overmixed martini needed another shot of Tito's. We ordered the quiche which was soft and fluffy and flavorful and the sausage gravy and biscuits. It was perfect. Good portions fair price. A local gem! Went to The Station for lunch today and had the Bacon brunch bonanza. It was magnificent. Not only tons of different types of bacon but also fresh fruit, whipped cream, nuts and pancakes. Nice decor, friendly staff and an extensive menu. I am going to give this 3 stars because the food, wine and service was great until the owners walked in with their party. Living in a small town, everyone know everyone so we knew the owners. Once they showed up, we barely saw our waitress. Had our water only filled once in 90 minutes and the entire wait staff waited on them hand and foot! Their burgers are just over-cooked frozen patties. Fries are mediocre frozen fries you could make at home. Mac and cheese is just ok... homemade cheese sauce, but not baked with the pasta so the pasta just tastes likes grocery store boxed. Margarita was good last weekend, but terrible today. So we were driving around tecumseh and found this restaurant. Love the patio area in back. Nice atmosphere. Great friendly staff. Food was disappointing. Mac and cheese with chorizo was pretty good but had no visual appeal. Potato chowder had no potatoes that I could find and I did not like the Tabasco sauce on top. Biscuits and gravy looked horrible and the taste was less than desirable. Be careful what u order. May be worth a second try but we'll see. read more
