This place doesn't look like much from the road- don't be fooled! We were seated at once, and the service was excellent. They have an interesting selection of craft beers, and an extensive menu- all locally sourced and house- made. We tried the Philly steak, a patty melt, a blue cheese burger, and a grilled cheese. Every sandwich was delicious, and the house- made chips and fries were amazing! We will certainly be making our way back here soon! read more

Went there to eat and parked in the handicap parking. I have a handicap sticker. I was going to Queen nails to make an appointment and some guy from Embers comes out, I think it was the owner, and says that I couldn't park there. I parked there so I could make my appointment and then come back to eat at Embers. I guess I should report them to American Disability Act. I'm a regular customer there and will never eat there again! read more

3.5 stars but rounded up to 4 because Embers is probably the best bar and grill in Tecumseh. They have Keno here and drinks are reasonably priced. Tried a few of the appetizers (onion rings and deep fried mushrooms) and they were good but nothing spectacular. They do have great daily specials though and the burger and fries is pretty damn good for $6. There are pool tables, dart boards, and a large outside patio (I think it's mainly for smoking though). If you want to watch your sports, Embers has a bunch of TV's showing the games. It can get busy here on the weekends and Saturday is karaoke night starting at 9pm. There's not many choices for bars in Tecumseh but Embers is a solid choice. read more

We came to embers on a Friday hoping for a fish dinner. Ordered a two piece walleye and a walleye sandwich. Food came out, and I got a plate of fries and two chicken nugget sized pieces of fish. We expressed our displeasure. The waitress said, "I don't know if you've bought food lately, but it's expensive". Extremely rude, abrasive, and demeaning. We thought we were getting two pieces of fish. Instead we got two pieces of one piece of fish and rude behavior. Done. Don't give it a chance. read more

Later the owner and kitchen girl was just starring at us as if we were from outer space!! It's funny to Jeff and I we grew up in Tecumseh when there was racism and really the only ones we had besides a hand full a great friend's was us 2 and our younger brother's. The food here was very good, but the service was absolutely atrocious. The woman who was working was waiting and tables and running the bar. It may seem like a lot, but it wasn't busy at all. She had the worst RBF I have ever encountered, and she was incredibly rude. She made me feel pressured to order quickly and not often as to not inconvenience her. The last two times at embers we were highly dissatisfied. Walleye was small and dry. Twice the fried chicken gizzards were over cooked. Thursday ribs were dry and like shoe leather. Lived in Tecumseh for 20 years and embers is now going down hill. Scratching them off our list for dinner read more

I don't come here often - maybe once or twice a year to meet with friends in the area. I don't know the owners or people who work there; though it appears everyone knows everyone and went to school together. The place was empty (Faster Horses weekend), it was near closing time, but were happy to stop in. Embers is one of the best neighborhood bars I have come across. Great deck. Decent food (I like the mini tacos, but wish they would bring back the Olive burger I had years ago) and plenty of entertainment. We stopped in late on Friday night before last call, what technically would be my birthday being 1am. First birthday drink of the weekend! We sat at the bar and asked if there were any birthday specials. Apparently there used to be great treats for birthday visitors but no more. We ordered our beers and played some keno. The bartender was a sweetheart. She made up a couple birthday shots for toasting. The drunk guy at the bar was entertaining. To top it off, I won $55 in keno before we left. Tipped her $5 from my win fall and scooted off. I don't know why Ember's gets poor reviews. The service can be a little slow when it's extremely busy, but from me, it deserves the 5 stars. read more

This is a fabulous establishment in the great town of Tecumseh it actually has very good food for a bar and I would say much better than that of mucks. Recommend checking out the specials. Horrible waitress, the food is tasteless, basically avoid this bar. Not worth your time.

My wife and I really enjoy the burgers here. However, plan on staying a while because the service here is the worst.......the staff clearly doesn't understand the meaning of "Customer Service"......which is too bad because the food and drinks are pretty good. Lucky for the owner, Tecumseh doesn't have much competition in regards to bars. read more

We stop in at this little dive from time to time when we don't have the ambition to drive to a good bar. The food is average for bar food and a couple of the waitresses are good enough at their jobs to make it tolerable. It is a bar where most of the patrons know each other because they all live in Tecumseh. If you have to drive more than 10 minutes to get there, you are probably closer to a better bar. Unbelievably rude staff, slow, terrible service, I would not choose this place for a night out

Not a good place to eat! Went twice for food, based on good reviews. The first time I ordered chicken wings which were not cooked to a golden brown but more of a yellowish tint, barely cooked enough. I waited a long time for my food despite the nearly empty place. The second visit, I was sorely disappointed as were my guests. We all ordered their special fish on Friday. The fried fish was not bad but the blackened fish was too small of portions, too seasoned with salt and tasted horrible, overcooked and rubbery, dry.. Next, we let the server know that the buttered toast tasted absolutely rancid. She said she would tell the cook(s) in the back. None of us ate the toast. The salad was ok if you like bottled dressing, none freshly made were available. Same with tarter sauce, overly sweet and from a jar. So, for the same price, we could have had a nice fish and chips dinner with the soup and salad bar at Big Boy down the street and they would have actually cared how our meal was. The bar workers didn't apologize for the rancid buttered toast, didn't offer to replace it nor did they take it off our bills. For the poor quality food and lack of customer service, we would not recommend this place to eat. We will never go there again. Should have known from the lack of customers parked there everyday that this isn't one of the good spots to eat. Nothing more than the local dive. read more
