Good price good flavors. Ordered the wing special which came with 6 wings and 3 breadsticks and a petite greek salad. The salad was big enough for two people. Also ordered a medium supreme pizza. Very good dough just wish it was cooked a little longer. Service was friendly and pleasant. Like the self serve fountain drink option. I really love this place. My dad relocated to Tecumseh after a house fire. So he needed to find a new pizza joint. I consider myself a pretty good pizza connoisseur having worked in pizza places all through high school and college (both local and chain places). All that said this place is the best place in town. There dough is homemade and it makes for a crunchy crust that's soft on the inside. Their toppings are all fresh. Their sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and bold. Crust and sauce make the pizza and Basil Boys has it down. Beyond the pizza I recommend the bread (which you should always get a bag of it will go quick) and the ANTIPASTA salad. The meats on it are fresh and they give you a healthy amount. A small will make a good side salad for 3-4 people. Make sure to get it with their homemade Italian dressing it finishes out the salad and you'll be sopping up the extra with your crust. If your a mid-western ranch lover they have quality homemade ranch. Great for dipping your pizza in. Highly recommend this place. read more

Pizza is pizza...until it isn't just another pizza. We were greeted with a warm smile and quick service. We had the Basil Boys Deluxe. The veggies were fresh, crisp and flavorful. The Italian sausage was really tasty and the sauce was light making the whole pizza fresh and not greasy at all. The crust had a crunchy bottom and was delicious. This place isn't really fancy, but the food is really good so if your looking for pizza worth finding, put this place on your list. read more

Had an event here in their banquet room, it was awesome! The food was great and they make sure everything looks nice and set-up for you. You get the room to yourself and it looks like it would fit probably 30 or maybe 40 people. Very spacious and comfortable! I'm a visitor to this wonderful city and Basil Boys is spectacular. We ordered (3) different pizzas and salad and they did not disappoint. The pizzas were not greasy to the touch and the flavors blended well, even for a pepperoni pizza. The crusts were not over-cooked, but just enough to hold in your hand without falling over. Why choose a chain pizza joint when you can choose Basil Boys? I am a huge fan. read more

We ordered takeout and really enjoyed the pizza and sandwiches. We ordered a salad but discovered that they omitted to give us the dressing (luckily we had some at home). But it came with breadsticks and marinara for dipping, that was a plus. Overall our meal was delicious and the service was quick for a busy night when they were short handed. read more

Everytime ive been here ( and it has been many times) the food and service has been great. I have tried about everything on the menu and havent found anything that wasnt great. Husband and I decided to try Basil Boys to think outside of our typical (pizza)box. And now I'm sad we havent gone here sooner. We ordered a half order of breadsticks and a chicago deep dish with bacon and pineapple. The breadsticks were VERY good. Wish our (pizza) dipping sauce was not served cold as it made it difficult to dunk. Reasonably priced. I do have to add cleaning could be improved, there was only 1 other table present and a separate "clean" table still had garbage underneath shoved against the wall which was a bit distasteful. Our pizza was quite tasty with a lot of texture and flavor. Very well done. read more

my wife called in our order and she ordered a pizza and a chicken club. What she got was Club pocket which doesn't even have chicken in it. She called back when she got home and the said they would make her the correct item and she was fine. Two minutes later the manager called back and told my wife she was the one who took the order and she got what she asked for. She said she would be very happy to make her what she wanted but she would have to pay for it. She was rude in the way she blamed my wife for not ordering it correctly and we will in the future take our business elsewhere! We get at least a pizza a week and have since they opened there doors! when you look at their menu there is only one chicken Club and it is a wrap. I was in the room when she placed our order and she asked for a chicken bacon club! It's sad when you can't get what you ordered but it worst to be treated rudely! I like to get one small cheese with light sauce and a small pizza without cheese, but with onion and banana pepper and garlic butter crust. Best breadsticks on earth and the ranch is to die for. I love this place. When I get to Tecumseh I always make an effort to get there. The breadsticks are great and and so is the Greek wrap. The pizza dough is legit. Five stars for the food. Zero stars for the Covid safety measures. The first time I was in there, customers enter without a mask and were not asked to wear one. Today I went in again and two of the four workers I could see wore their mask under their nose and two other workers didn't even have a mask. I would recommend the breadsticks at least for first timers. You need to try them at least once. They make a house ranch, pizza sauce, and Greek dressing that is SO good with the bread. They have a variety of gourmet pizzas that are good, and they always are trying new things with a "pizza of the month". The dough and sauce is made in house. They have fresh mushrooms and big slices of bacon rather than bits. Some other favorites are lasagna, wings, hot Italian sandwich, pepperoni roll, and of course the Greek salad. Another great salad is the chicken BLT salad with Greek or ranch. If you are getting the pepperoni roll be sure to call ahead or come in early since they tend to run out quickly! Soup is only during the winter/fall season but is delicious! I also really like their Mac n cheese squares and crinkle fries on the kids menu! This is one of those places that are quite common in small Midwestern towns. One of two or three restaurants splattered up and down main street to give folks a break from Burger King or KFC. Usually these places pretend to be ethnic and they specialize in one or two dishes that keeps the locals happy and keeps them recommending the place over and over to outsiders. And that's what brought us to Basil Boys. Breadsticks. These breadsticks are legendary to folks in Lenawee County. So we had to find out what the hype was all about. The place was small. Menu items overpriced. No one was Italian. The staff seemed annoyed that we were taking up a table just to order bread and water. But the breadsticks... they were a little better than average. Pretty thick, buttery, but not overly buttery. Marinara was great. Worth stopping in to grab a bag but I wouldn't recommend staying there to dine. read more

I wrote a review. Some of my best funny. Enjoy! Moved to Tecumseh at the beginning of March. Heard good things about Basil Boys, but wasn't able to give it a try until last night. We ordered the "Taste of..." meal so we could try a little bit of everything. 1. insanely generous portions and everything was gloriously hot even after a ride home and a delay while we walked the dogs. Meat in a box FTW! We ate like trendy royalty and every single bite was a mouth orgasm. I'm sure the neighbors thought we were hosting an orgy in the hallway for all the moaning going on. 2. amazing made-me-wanna-cuss breadsticks and the marinara dipping sauce was ice cold and perfectly spiced! Obviously hand made and buttered with just the right amount of salt and garlic - the way breadsticks should be. 3. we saved the salad for later because it was huge, but I can say the lettuce was bright, fresh, and crisp with a generous amount of both feta and greek vinaigrette (on the side). House made vinaigrette too. 4. the lasagna was so good it resulted in a fork fight and some unfortunate, but necessary, butthurt over the very last bite. Hopefully, our relationship will recover, but if it does not it will have been worth it. 5. the ribs were "slap your momma" good and made me growl like a true carnivore! Like corn on the cob for wolves. Spoon tender, but you know darn well I grabbed on with both hands and didn't stop until I had sauce on my elbows. 6. the chicken was not only moist, it was "OMG these chocodiles, Hayley... these chocodiles, OMG" off the charts! Big pieces. Tasty af. I have no words. I should have called a poet. 7. the bbq sauce was clearly a proprietary house blend of various magical potions and unguents that was perfectly not-too-spicy-not-too-sweet. Thicker than cheesecake and kept me licking my fingers long after I'd washed my hands. Glorious. Went to war overseas to protect this kind of stuff. Worth every IED and long haul caravan. 8. My two dogs - usually very good around food, but a little beggy and whiny when they see us finishing up - sprouted angel wings and planted their butts a respectful distance off, drooling like madmen on death row waiting on their last meal. Sadly, there was nothing left for them to polish off and no plates to pre-wash for the dishwasher as we had licked them clean ourselves. I had to show my empty hands and clean plates to them and say "all gone" like some kind of culinary poker dealer. The sad faces they pulled in response were epic and, frankly, worth it. They are still disappointed today. 9. As great as the food was the best part was actually the staff when we picked up the order. We both work in the food service industry now and have had our fair share of miseries as chef, wait staff, manager, etc. Everyone there was beaming happy and we know darn well that's because the food rocks, tips are great, there are few if any diner complaints, and management treats everyone well. That right there is how it should be done. I can only imagine what the pizza is like. I'm writing my will and getting things in order for my burial as I fully expect to die from sheer delight. I got to enjoy pizza , fresh bread sticks and a crisp salad at basil boys. My husband took me here after going laser tagging, which built an appetite for pizza. The dough is extremely fresh and puffs up just like bread should. The marinara sauce is extremely thick and adds to the perfect taste of pizza. I haven't been here in years and went last week again. The food is just as amazing as it was before. This is possibly the best pizza that I have ever had and the breadsticks are simply amazing. Decent, greasy pizza. The service is solid as well. Don't expect 5 star food but you get what you pay for, the place is clean and the menu is decent. Worth the money. Only other negative is that they would not cater to a small party. That was odd. If I ordered 5 pizzas, some ribs , a tray of salad - that would be the same thing! I was very disappointed. I Went in and ordered. They were only doing take out because of Covid 19. It was about a 10 minute wait. As I waited I looked around and I noticed that 3 of the 5 people working in the kitchen were not wearing masks. I lived right beside this place for a long time so I ordered here a ton when I was feeling like I wanted food now. The pizza was always just okay. The breadsticks were slightly better than average but I think people had hyped them up too much for me. I wasn't a big fan until I tried the salads and wraps. I especially liked the wraps and ordered those most. The staff has never been great though. Every time I went in, it was always a bunch of young kids and I always felt a little self-conscious because none of them were ever real friendly or welcoming. The only thing worth eating there is the bread sticks, which are simply out of this world amazing! However, the pizza is just pizza. Nothing great nothing bad. Now, some of the things that are in my persona opinion, terrible, would include: BBQ Ribs that are extremely tough and dry. The BBQ Chicken, which seemed to be rubbery and did make my husband and myself sick. The salad tasted as if it had been setting out for a week or more.
