I have been craving a bison burger for a little bit now and today i got it!! Was greeted with a friendly welcome and service started right away. Sat down and was able to get drinks ordered and then had a decent amount of time to review the menu. There are many options and the staff are very accommodating with any suggestions or changes requested. Wasnt very busy but it was a Sunday lunch time. Very calm but friendly atmosphere. No big games on yet but there are plenty of tv's all with in viewing distance. Ordered the mozarella sticks with a side of spicy blueberry sauce. Not very spicy but was good going along with the cheese sticks. I did order the bison burger with sweet potato fries and it all hit the spot. Bacon was done perfectly as well. No room for dessert. Went on an early Sunday evening and upon entering we were immediately greeted and seated. The restaurant was busy but not loud, which was great for conversation. There was quite a variety on the menu as it's listed as a burger joint, there were other great options like the pulled pork mac-n-cheese and the homemade tomato soup. First time in. I was really exited to pop in as it looks really interesting on the outside. As soon as we walked in it felt like I was in the wrong place, I even did a double look. It looks modern on the exterior but the interior it looks like a tavern, dark and moody. Nothing wrong with that at all but it threw me off. Ask for seating by the window if you are like me and must have light. The onion rings are tasty and delightful, but $10.00 and you get few onion rings. The ranch is a tangy Cajun Ranch, which was good and went well with the onion ring. Light batter and if only they would thrown in 3-4 more rings. The Japapeño burger had no flavor it tasted like raw meat, I asked for well done and it was not. No problem we did not send it back just added more salt and pepper, definitely not worth it. The Onion Rings were the only thing that was good, but the portion for $10.00 do not match. First time and honestly nothing to brag about. The Burger had no flavor and I asked for well done and it could have use more time. I got the Jalapeño burger garlic cilantro fries (in my opinion the cilantro should have been flashed fried to spark flavor and texture) they were good but not a repeat. Well in 9 years since my last review not much has changed except the prices. Great location, comfortable decor. Service has improved but far from adequate. Waited at the door while the confused hostess sat 3 couples before us. Maybe they were regulars. Got seated and the waitress was quick to take our drink orders but seemed to forget they serve food. 45 minutes later the food arrived at the table. My girlfriend tried to get me to walk out but because I was hungry we didn't leave. Now food prices. If you are able to eat for under $30 you ordered an appetizer or side. The burgers are nothing to write home to mom about. Place should be named Chump Burger. read more

Virtually impossible to get a meal here for under $20. Burger with fries is like $17 before tip. And the burger isn't anything special. Just a fundamentally flawed business model for a seemingly simple concept anyone with a brain could handle. Why not just crank out amazing smash burgers for under $10? Instead we get a convoluted menu with a bunch of weird patties (ostrich, bison?) and gimmicky Mac and cheese burgers for $18 and a chance to upgrade ($$$) for fries... Not to mention they have unnecessary entrees like Tex mex salads and pork sandwiches (also over priced). Guys, look at a place like Shakeshack. A multimillion dollar chain of burger places with locations in major cities all over the country. They have like 5 things total on the menu, and they've perfected them. How do people manage to mess this up? I'm convinced this place stays afloat only because it's located in an armpit city like Adrian where even the Wendy's had to shut down for incompetent management. This is a long sad review because when you want to get a good lunch and not break you bank, it's sad to be subjected to places like this. SAD!!! read more

Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the food quality at Chomp burger, as my party and I left before having the chance to try anything. The menu appeared promising, and the decor was slightly above average for a bar and grill, with a nice patio area. However, our experience was marred by a lack of service. The restaurant was not busy by any means. We were seated on the patio at our request but were left unattended for at least 10 minutes without so much as a drink order taken or any acknowledgment from the staff. Disappointed by the lack of service, we decided to leave and dine elsewhere. EDIT - Iin reading the reviews I see that the owner/manager doesn't address the low reviews. Cushioned chairs were great. Olive burger was so messy I couldn't eat it. The olive sauce had the consistency of cream and covered my shirt on the first bite. Restroom had no towels, only germicidal air machine. I am now headed to Wendys to eat. read more

Decent burger at outrageous prices. Why would anyone willingly pay $23 for a burger and fries? I could understand if this was the best of the best but it was just okay. They charge itemized for toppings... I get charging for bacon (which they omitted) or grilled onions or cheese but not lettuce (which was nasty, wilted, and pathetic) or tomatoes that were sliced too thick anyway. Went here because its one of the only restaurants in Adrian with vegetarian burgers. Did not disappoint! The burger was crispy (especially for a bean burger) and the fries and mozzarella sticks made me feel like i was ascending. My only complaint is that the staff took quite a while to arrive, i don't blame them too much though as there was an event going on and they seemed to be understaffed. If you go during a trivia night and have sensitive hearing i HIGHLY recommend earmuffs/headphones. We are frequent visitors to Adrian and have been to Chomp multiple times. It's always a great experience. The food and drinks are great, the interior is cool, and the service is super. Today we sat at the bar and ordered the colossal pretzel, which was great. Maddie was a great bartender! In the past we've had burgers and the nachos...everything is always great. Been here a handful of times now. The burgers are tasty and high quality, but the toppings always feel a little underwhelming. They should load them up a little more. The chicken tenders are especially good. They are large and juicy and always feel fresh. Like, these are above average tenders. Definitely recommend. My favorite item so far is the pork sandwich! I thought it would be more like a Philly style pork sandwich with slices of pork, but it was actually pulled pork. It had great flavor and a good portion. The only food item I'd pass on is the garlic cilantro fries. We ordered them once, but they came without cilantro and the garlic was sort of wet on the fries. Not great. Their sweet potato fries are great though! The ambience is sort of steampunk and they have a central fish tank that's fun to watch if you sit at the bar. We've never had great service, always lackluster service from young staff, even at the bar. We sometimes have to flag down a waitress for drink refills. Don't expect banter or recommendations or side conversations from the staff, even if you sit at the bar. read more

I have been several times. I have liked all the food I've tried, and I have always had great interactions with the staff. I have even gotten a couple of my friends hooked. I love that there are many protein options, including a Black Bean burger and a Beyond Burger. I love that I can get a venison burger as well. read more

The two stars here are based mostly on the prices and average at best food. Holy crazy high prices! Nice location decor wise. A decent sized U shaped bar with seating when you first walk in. The food itself was just okay, and as I stated above, I expected a ton more after looking at the prices. I got the War of the Mac burger for 17 dollars! I could fit the amount of mac and cheese on the burger in the small of my palm. Not to mention there was barely any cheese sauce on it and the mac was pretty mushy. Oh, the cheese sticks were good, but were $9.50. I have had the same cheese sticks in many places for anywhere between $6 to $8 at the highest. Draft list was pretty average. Asked for a tall draft, and thinking it wasn't a tall. The best part of this place was the decor and our server was very good at handling the large group of people we brought in. We visited this restaurant today around 230pm. We sat at the bar and waited for a bartender. We were finally contacted by a nice server I think she was the manager. It didn't matter anyways. It took way to long to get a drink, then even longer to finally get in our order. The place was packed with kids from a soccer team. These employees could not handle the amount of customers. If there is a scheduled downtown fair, why would management not schedule the proper amount of people to handle the work. Oh and my pulled pork nachos arrived cold, the pork was already coagulated. The food here is AMAZING. You can find something for everyone on their huge menu. Service was pretty good. The vibe inside is so cool too, as they have a huge fish tank for their fish! (Which it's nice to see a restaurant that actually cares about their fish and the tank they have.) Will definitely be back when in the area. read more
