The Grateful Crow is an amazing local business with a welcoming atmosphere and a true commitment to the community. Every time I interact with them, it's clear they care about providing a great experience and building meaningful connections with the people they serve. Jason is a huge part of what makes The Grateful Crow so special. He is one of the most genuine, hardworking, and community-minded people you'll meet. He is always willing to lend a hand, support local organizations, and help make our community a better place. His generosity and dedication to others do not go unnoticed. We are lucky to have businesses like The Grateful Crow and people like Jason in our community. I highly recommend supporting them and seeing for yourself what makes them so special. read more

Service and wait times are a total deal breaker. Called ahead put in our name - no wait. Got there open tables - waited 40 min to be seated. Sat down ordered immediately- waited 60 min for our food!!! Outside and inside is noisy. Staff is slow. So Slow. Every time we come here I'm so annoyed with the service. Skip if you want anything on a timely manner. The water is also terrible it's like drinking from a sewer. So gross. Even fountain drinks taste bad. read more

Review is for their catering food truck experience! A friend hired it for her daughter's graduation party and it was awesome. It was sushi bowls and burritos. They also let me riff it up and merge the california roll bowl with spicy tuna. I appreciate that even in a food truck, they kept the temperature of the sushi really cold - great for a toasty day. It was also a good portion but it was free to guests so can't comment on the value. This experience totally makes me want to check out GC in person sometime. I've never been to Chelsea and GC is a perfect 'excuse'! read more

The Grateful Crow - Stellar Bertha burger carry out poolside! - Sushi Bars Near Me - Chelsea, Michigan

When we arrived we were asked if we had reservations, which we did not. The hostess explained it would be a fifteen minute wait which we didn't mind. What was odd, there was an entire area behind her with open tables. We figured the section was closed since it was later in the evening. Yet 15 minutes later we were seated in the same area. The table they placed us at was a high top that the teetered as if it was going to fall over. There was no way we were sitting there so we moved one table over. When we told our waiter he stated that he hated that table and they needed to get rid of it. The food was good, but the sushi looked like it was prepared by someone that learned how to prepare sushi online. It barely held together, it was not uniformed and the fellows preparing it did not have their beards covered and touched their faces frequently. The burgers were excellent. , the sides were average. The waiter was very friendly. read more

Amazing spot, the food and atmosphere are top notch here in Chelsea and leave room for the fantastic carrot cake!

I love this place! The ambiance is very cool and the server was really helpful and friendly. I was able to make a reservation for 8 a couple days ahead of our Friday dinner (with kids). I got the salmon and didn't expect it to be in a soup(ish) but it was tasty and interesting. My favorite item were the bao buns, I ordered another couple after we finished the first order. They have a good cocktail menu, sushi, burgers, etc. read more

I love the cocktails and the service as well as the sushi and salads. I stopped in today and veered off my usual path and tried Katie's signature drink, the Lavender Old Fashioned. Yes, I'll have another!! The Grateful Crow is always lovely to visit and unwind because of the welcoming atmosphere. read more

The Grateful Crow - Ask Katie about this Lavendar Old Fashioned. Light, refreshing, yet booze forward as an Old Fashioned should be. Delicious!! - Sushi Bars Near Me - Chelsea, Michigan

The service was fantastic and I really like the brooding vibe. It matches the name very nicely. The place isn't trying to be something that it's not. It's a crow in the name and it's pretty dark on the inside with a nice patio area outside that's covered and shaded. The food is outstanding honestly, the burger was fantastic. One of the better ones I've ever had plus half pound of meat is very generous. I thought that the shrimp that I had was also fantastic The drinks are great, but I do wish that they would fill them up and change the measurements accordingly (perception of a full glass) The only thing I don't think is appropriate is the pricing. The food is great don't give you wrong, but I do believe that the pricing is quite inflated for no reason that I can identify. So enjoy honestly. It's all good but dang it's expensive.., for no reason read more

Wife and I just had our first visit here. She had one of the amazing looking burgers. I had the two-patty chicken sandwich. Both were amazing!! And our server, Sydney, was excellent! Great burgers. Fun atmosphere. Excellent service. Noah was a very. Customer service oriented server. He made our experience better.

The vibes of this place are amazing! Definitely gives Alice in Wonderland and Edgar Allen Poe's The Raven vibes. We rode over for lunch. Lots of parking. There is interior and outdoor seating. We opted for indoor seating since it was a little too warm for us. It allowed me to take it all in! So much detail! We started off with cocktails. I ordered the Sugar Magnolia with tequila and egg whites. So good. Attention to detail is great! For lunch, I ordered the ginger carrot salad, rainbow roll, and spider roll. My husband got Mr. Charlie with truffle fries. We tried a little bit of each. So good. We didn't have room for dessert but the menu was tempting. Great day to take the motorcycle out for a ride into Chelsea! read more

I cannot get enough of The Grateful Crow. They continue to impress with the craft cocktails and amazing food. The vibe is chill but vibrant, the service is always great. I appreciate the consistency in the food, menu and service since they opened. The Hawaiian Bread pudding is a must for dessert. Making a reservation is a good idea when wanting to go at a prime time. Great food and service. The ambiance is an unique gothic and rock combination. It is truly beautiful inside. However, it is a little noisy in the main room with chatter. read more

Loved our first visit here! The food was delicious...we both ordered burgers (Good Lovin' and Sting Me), cooked perfectly with plentiful toppings. The truffle fries were also very tasty. We finished with Hawaiian Bread Pudding, which was outstanding, highly recommend! Our only minor complaint related to a cocktail - while the Old Fashioned was tasty, a little disappointing that the glass was only half full, not a great value for the price. (I ordered one of the Valentine special cocktails, which was served in a larger glass filled to the rim for the same price...this one was fantastic!) Cherry on top was the friendliness and level of customer service - Charity took great care of us, and the warmth and attentiveness of the staff was outstanding. We can't wait to come back and try the sushi! read more

Burgers and sushi, what a great combo! Fun sushi roll options. The Jealousy roll had green apples in it, with tempura and avocado. Really lovely! I enjoyed the rainbow roll and some nigiri too. You can upgrade the burgers to Wagyu or bison. The bison burger was well made and huge! The truffle fries were light and crispy. Excellent bread pudding, and the carrot cake was divine with cream cheese frosting. All deserts are home made there. And very large slices! Delicious coffee in a fresh press. Excellent cocktail menu. I enjoyed a lovely mocktail called the Sunshine Daydream, with grapefruit, mint, and cinnamon. Really fun music playing and colorful, eclectic art. Definitely a fun vibe. Excellent service from Faith. She's fantastic! Free parking lot. read more

Came here a few months ago for the first time and was so happy to do so! Friends of ours introduced us to the Chelsea area and brought it here for diner one night and we loved it! Their burgers are amazing! And the cocktails are really up to snuff! Will definitely come back again soon! Also their sushi rolls are fresh and delicious. They roll them in front of you and they keep them coming out. It does take 30minutes for sushi rolls bc of the high demand. read more

Interesting gothic-themed interior. Very nice drink menu. One of are party does not drink alcohol, so it was nice to see several creative mocktails as well. The burger options were all interesting and our choices were tasty. read more

The food and service were fantastic. We had hamburgers which were fresh and cooked perfectly. The truffle fries are amazing. Our only disappointment was of all things, the water. It has a horrible taste and leaves behind a bad taste even after eating. The ice made my husbands tea taste bad. I had a soda and could taste the bad water after the ice started melting. Please clean your ice and water machines or start filtering them. read more

Friday night. The bar is Hoppin. It has old movies playing above the bar. Tonite they had a coconut Mojito special cocktail that was amazing. Two of us ordered sushi the other two ordered a Michigan Cherry salad. One of our dining companions got the ribeye on her salad. There was also a leek soup. Oh, I love this place. I've been here numerous times and never had a bad meal at 10 to order the sushi because it is so fresh and creative. read more

I would love to give Grateful Crow another shot...I was there for an early lunch and there weren't many people there yet, but our waitress was hurried, seemed inconvenienced, and the food took a very long time. We celebrated Valentine's Day early and had a fantastic Friday night dinner at The Grateful Crow! The staff has been friendly, accommodating, and helpful every time we've eaten there, and the food is great. The burgers are delicious, salmon is cooked just the way I request it, fries are tooo good! Last night we shared the Beef Tips with smashed potatoes and zip sauce. We added the shrimp and it was perfect. Highly recommend! read more

We should have left when we looked at the menu. Prices are ridiculous, they don't make sense. The rolls fell apart while we tried to eat them, poorly rolled, bad sushi rice. Our daughter's side of rice came out cold. When I ask for a bowl of rice, I expect hot rice like literally any other restaurant ever. What sushi place doesn't have a rice cooker to keep it warm? The rolls resemble grocery store level of quality and skill. The service was fine, but it felt very much like we were paying for the privilege of eating next to the decor. read more

Funky little restaurant downtown Chelsey. Funky in a good way! Very different from other restaurants in the area. They have a beautiful outdoor patio, perfect on a summer night. The Grateful Crow has a VERY large menu. Full sushi and nigiri menu, but also non-seafood entrees. Specialty fun cocktails too! Appetizers- we knew we were going to order sushi, so I needed to start with a miso soup. Can't really go wrong that. We also enjoyed an order of the truffle fries. Sushi- La Jolla, Spicy Tuna, California. The best roll was definitely La Jolla. Shrimp tempura on the inside with a different fish on top of each roll. At first I found the lemon rind odd, but after the first bite it really complemented the flavors. The California roll was good too! Big crab pieces. read more

The Grateful Crow is a lovely restaurant in cute, little downtown Chelsea. Matt was our mixologist/bartender. He was very friendly, informative, and made delicious, strong cocktails. The food was pretty good. It tried my bf's Sting Me Burger and it was great. Juicy, perfectly cooked, and flavorful. I had the crispy salmon. It was good, but why serve crispy salmon in a broth?? It just made the crispy skin soggy. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, and I would probably stop by again if I ever happen to be in the area. read more

This was a nice surprise. The ambiance is gothic and dark. Illuminated by candles and really cool lamps. Painted walls with fun images of crows and interesting decorations. Both indoor and outdoor seating. I sat indoors. The service was a little slow. Our server had tables both inside and outside. She was able to stay on top of our needs, but looked like she was running a lot. The food was the best surprise. If they have Watermelon Gazpacho, try it! So worth the entire visit. My salad was also great. My dining partner had a sushi roll. She was very pleased with it. The bar drinks that were being served nearby looked amazing. I can't wait to return to try more menu items. read more
