The service was fantastic and I really like the brooding vibe. It matches the name very nicely. The place isn't trying to be something that it's not. It's a crow in the name and it's pretty dark on the inside with a nice patio area outside that's covered and shaded. The food is outstanding honestly, the burger was fantastic. One of the better ones I've ever had plus half pound of meat is very generous. I thought that the shrimp that I had was also fantastic The drinks are great, but I do wish that they would fill them up and change the measurements accordingly (perception of a full glass) The only thing I don't think is appropriate is the pricing. It has a horrible taste and leaves behind a bad taste even after eating. The ice made my husbands tea taste bad. I had a soda and could taste the bad water after the ice started melting. What a find! I've never been to this part of Michigan and I used my app to find this place. Immediately my black little heart was draw to the photos of the environment so I thought, "Why not?" The vibes of this place are amazing! Definitely gives Alice in Wonderland and Edgar Allen Poe's The Raven vibes. We rode over for lunch. Lots of parking. There is interior and outdoor seating. We opted for indoor seating since it was a little too warm for us. It allowed me to take it all in! So much detail! We started off with cocktails. I ordered the Sugar Magnolia with tequila and egg whites. So good. Attention to detail is great! For lunch, I ordered the ginger carrot salad, rainbow roll, and spider roll. Loved our first visit here! The food was delicious...we both ordered burgers (Good Lovin' and Sting Me), cooked perfectly with plentiful toppings. The truffle fries were also very tasty. We finished with Hawaiian Bread Pudding, which was outstanding, highly recommend! Our only minor complaint related to a cocktail - while the Old Fashioned was tasty, a little disappointing that the glass was only half full, not a great value for the price. (I ordered one of the Valentine special cocktails, which was served in a larger glass filled to the rim for the same price...this one was fantastic!) Came here a few months ago for the first time and was so happy to do so! Friends of ours introduced us to the Chelsea area and brought it here for diner one night and we loved it! Their burgers are amazing! And the cocktails are really up to snuff! Will definitely come back again soon! Also their sushi rolls are fresh and delicious. Burgers and sushi, what a great combo! Fun sushi roll options. The Jealousy roll had green apples in it, with tempura and avocado. Really lovely! I enjoyed the rainbow roll and some nigiri too. You can upgrade the burgers to Wagyu or bison. The bison burger was well made and huge! The truffle fries were light and crispy. Excellent bread pudding, and the carrot cake was divine with cream cheese frosting. All deserts are home made there. And very large slices! Delicious coffee in a fresh press. Excellent cocktail menu. The staff has been friendly, accommodating, and helpful every time we've eaten there, and the food is great. We should have left when we looked at the menu. Prices are ridiculous, they don't make sense. The rolls fell apart while we tried to eat them, poorly rolled, bad sushi rice. Our daughter's side of rice came out cold. When I ask for a bowl of rice, I expect hot rice like literally any other restaurant ever. What sushi place doesn't have a rice cooker to keep it warm? Funky little restaurant downtown Chelsey. Funky in a good way! Very different from other restaurants in the area. They have a beautiful outdoor patio, perfect on a summer night. The Grateful Crow has a VERY large menu. Full sushi and nigiri menu, but also non-seafood entrees. Specialty fun cocktails too! She was able to stay on top of our needs, but looked like she was running a lot. The food was the best surprise. If they have Watermelon Gazpacho, try it! So worth the entire visit. We stopped in here today for a late lunch. My friend ordered a burger which looked delicious. It was served with a generous portion of french fries. I ordered the salmon. It was prepared well and cooked perfectly. It was served with asparagus and fingerling potatoes. My only complaint was the entire dish was served in a broth like liquid and the asparagus and potatoes were floating in the broth. I would've preferred a sauce over the salmon so the asparagus and potatoes weren't floating in the broth. I nudged my potatoes up onto the rim of the plate to give them a chance to dry off a little before eating them. Other than that I thought the meal was really good. As for the ambience, this restaurant has a really nice vibe. There is a long bar with a huge liquor selection. Very nice lighting. It's a very clean res. And our server was very attentive, helpful and pleasant. There is a large patio area facing west for those who would like to sit outside when the weather permits. This restaurant just opened in October 2020 and I hope it really makes a go. It's a nice addition to the downtown scene. read more
