We had our wedding here, and I have nothing but incredible things to say about Adam, Adriana, Rachel, and the entire RHF team! We were lucky enough to have our wedding on a gorgeous day in June at the prairie barn, and we were completely spoiled with the attentiveness of the bartending, groundskeeping, and planning team. Guests absolutely loved our venue -- from the air-conditioned barn, stunning tent and table rentals, cocktail hour patio, fire pits, and luscious lawn that we got married on in front of a big oak tree! We had the property completely to ourselves from Friday-Sunday to set up, party, and clean up, which was an added bonus and stress-saver. I would recommend this venue to anybody looking to get married in a modern barn or farm venue. Since then, RHF has opened up the Nest, their kitchen & bar, which we also have loved frequently this past season! read more

We went here for Sunday brunch on their second week of service. This restaurant is located on M-52 just north of Chelsea. It is back off the road on the Robin Hills complex. We were seated at our table and given the cocktail menu. I ordered the rosemary greyhound. It was refreshing and had just the right amount of rosemary in it. They have a full bar and others at my table had mimosas or bourbon. The brunch menu had many choices, all looked amazing. At my table we had the short rib hash, the boursin cheese egg sandwich, the salmon egg scramble & the sausage, egg and pimento sandwich. Everything was excellent. The hash had amazing roasted potatoes, a nice amount of meat and two beautiful fried eggs on top. Actually, all the dishes came with a side of roasted potatoes that were wonderful. One of the things that I think would really elevate this restaurant is if their orange juice was fresh squeezed. However, it was quite good. We will be coming back soon to try the Italian grinder and the Nutella French toast. We are told that there is music on some nights and we did not review the dinner menu. However, if it's anything like the brunch menu, I can't wait to try it. read more

I was so excited to meet our daughter and her fiancé. They toured the venue. We were meeting them for her birthday to have drinks and dinner. I share with the hostess when we arrive that I had a small birthday cake that I had made and wanted to celebrate with after dinner. Nothing was said at that time about a fee. When got to the end of our meal (160.00 for 4 ppl) and we were told by our waitress that there would be a cake cutting fee of 12 dollars! Left us not feeling great about whole dinner . read more

This place is amazing. Picture a bar that is 100 acres of just nature. (~2.5 miles of trails) with some scattered benches. This place is perfect for distancing and you are welcome to bring the party with you with exception of drinks. Games, food, etc.. Open 9-4 Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 12-9. True local gem! read more

Went on a tour with the Yelpers and had a lovely time. The person giving the tour did a nice job, but it might have been nice to keep the time a little shorter as it was right at dinner time and we were surrounded by food that we basically couldn't eat. ;) Ha. I did end up buying some food stuffs at the end of the tour: arugula (very delicious, though not as good as what I grew at home), cucumber, peppers, and eggs. The eggs were the star of the food for SURE. If it weren't so far away, I'd be heading over there right now to get some more! So so good. The facility was not quite completely up and running during our tour, but the vision of what it's going to be looks just amazing. I highly suggest stopping in and checking it out. Very excited to have a place like this around. read more

I had the pleasure of encountering the Robin Hills Farm at the Ann Arbor Westside Farmer's Market a few weeks ago. I got a dozen eggs and, let me tell you, they were maybe the best eggs I've ever had. Bright orange yolks, rich and flavorful. I have been dreaming about these eggs ever since! I just haven't had a chance to go back and get more! The staff running their booth was SO nice. Super chatty and really lovely. With my egg purchase, they generously gave me a lovely tote bag (which I've been using regularly toting around my laptop!) and some literature on the farm itself. I learned so much! I discovered that they have a huge space in Chelsea right off M-52 (129 acres!) that you can tour, a garden you can volunteer in, they also offer classes, etc. They even have an amphitheater where they host events. Next week they're hosting a local theatre company's performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream. They also have a summer day camp for kids to learn about ecology, art, and science. Their website explains that they,"have an organic garden, a mushroom forest, a commercial aquaponics system located in our fully-automated greenhouse, 10 acres of pasture for raising happy and healthy livestock, and spring-fed ponds stocked with rainbow trout." But as far as I know you have to contact them ahead of time to take advantage of that, you can't just stop in. Can't wait to try more items from them and take a tour of the farm sometime very soon! read more

I hosted my husband's 40th birthday party here and Robin Hills was so accommodating. I highly recommend renting a private space for your guests. They can also mingle out by the bar which was nice too! Great service, delicious food and cocktails! read more

This place is a hidden treasure.it has a super cool vibe, like a mix between a cool Malibu restaurant and an aspen ski lodge. They look like they serve food at times but mostly at this point it is bring your own food and they have a really nice bar. You can sit outside anywhere on the property with tons of nice tables with beautiful overlooks. We also loved the greenhouse which is Pinterest perfect for a wedding or event. We will absolutely be going back. read more

Robin Hills Farm - Dog loving the hiking trails and beach - Venues & Event Spaces Near Me - Chelsea, Michigan

Visiting the Robin Hills Farm is an adventure. Located just a short distance outside of beautiful, downtown Chelsea Michigan the farm has plenty of parking. They were, last time I was there, working on smoothing the entrance area for handicapped patrons but will assist in every way to get everyone up to the restaurant/lodge/headquarters. The grounds are beautiful. They have been recently carved out of an old farmstead that had been worked by a family of Michiganders for generations. They now display various types of farmland landscapes that are common across Michigan. They are sensitive to the environment and work to support and increase the wildlife in the area. The work they do also involves ensuring that the plants and other creatures that inhabit the area are kept in stable and then growing populations. In Spring you may be able to see the elusive Blue Bird nesting and flying about. There are turtles, frogs and the deer sure like the grazing. There are beautiful locations for outdoor parties and weddings. Plenty of space for other activities too. Robin Hills Farm is not short on science either. Their organic vegetable fields and their greenhouse which features cutting edge aquaculture as well as cold weather growing facilities is a wonderful sight to behold and learn from. They were very kind to us when we were there. My favorite part about the place is that everyone who goes there seems to belong. Have fun! read more

We were so excited that Robin Hills Farm opened up at the time that it did! This place is beautiful and was everything we wanted in a wedding venue. The barn is beautiful and well kept! It truly does look like it is brand new. There is an upstairs floor level that is perfect for getting ready. I would highly recommend that your Bride stays there to get ready! There are big mirrors, couches, tables, and plenty of outlets to use if necessary. It also has a nice overhang of the reception downstairs. This property is gorgeous and it feels completely secluded from the other areas surrounding it. We had the entire place to ourselves and it made for great memories and beautiful pictures. Adam is wonderful to work with and all of the event staff was extremely sweet and accommodating in every aspect! We couldn't have chosen a better place with better people! read more

This is a fantastic, family-friendly nature venue with a full bar. They have 140 acres with 3 miles of walking trails. They also are a possible wedding venue! Located just down the street from downtown Chelsea, it's a nice place to enjoy the views, quiet or music (live bands in the evenings), and a beverage. While the drink selection is smaller, the staff is super friendly and welcoming. They have had food trucks on Friday and Saturday evenings as well, otherwise they have some snacks available for purchase. Highly recommend checking this place out! read more

This place had potential but our meals were not that great. The burger was overdone and the chips were so salty you couldn't eat them. looked like someone dumped salt on them after heating them up. Not worth the price for sure. The other dish we got was salmon. it was excellent but a small portion and not nearly enough veggies. At the common grill in town you get a larger dish plus salad and yummy bread for the same price. Doubt we would eat dinner there again. read more

We had our wedding at Robin Hills and it was everything I could've hoped for! We had to change venues last minute due to Covid (after already postponing) and Adam was great at making sure the process was smooth. The barn was beautiful and using the loft as the bridal suite was perfect. Everything was beautiful and the food from Wesleys catering was delicious. I can't say enough great things about our experience!! read more

The perfect spot for live music and drinks! Best outdoor seating option in the area. Also so beautiful for private events such as weddings.

I'm going to rate this review as 'under construction', because the same can be said for Robin Hills Farm. We attended a Yelp event over the weekend, so I learned a lot about the farm and you should know this place is a work in progress. They've been around for 3 years and claim to be an Eco-friendly farm. The place isn't officially open to the public, though they are hoping to be so as early as November. It also isn't a full production farm, as it's geared as much to education and learning as it is to farming. For example, they have a pretty cool vegetable garden which includes two full size green houses, but they aren't supplying the country side with produce. You will be able to find their produce at local farmer's markets. I loved the place. It's big and has several areas to visit (garden, animal pastures, an aquaponics building, ponds) but isn't like going to a working farm, so you weren't overwhelmed with anything. The pigs and other animals were friendly (pigs were a blast) and the employees did a good job educating us. I had a geat vibe from the place, and I think as it opens up, it will be a great place to visit. They are currently mostly about classes and field trip events, but check back in 2018! read more

Exceptional customer service, great music, patio, and drinks. Check out online the music and food trucks that change weekly to go along with the experience. As a whole with all these experiences it helps the community come together and have a place to meet up for a great meaningful time. read more

We enjoyed a lovely brunch at The Nest at Robin Hills Farm on Sunday. Their sunny new dining area is comfortable and clean and everyone from the host, serving staff, and the cashier at the attached market were pleasant and welcoming. Highlights of the meal were the lobster hash and the rainbow trout. It was so good I didn't expect to take home leftovers but the family style portions were more than enough for the three of us. We got to meet Chef Jeff when he stopped by our table - he seems like a great guy. If you're from Chelsea or just driving through, I recommend checking out Robin Hills Farm. It looks like they have a ton going on there with gardens and classes and more under construction. read more

Beautiful facility. Menu appeared better than it actually was. Some fine tuning and attention to detail would be good; maybe we hit them on an off day. read more

I was recently at Robin Hills Farm for a theatrical performance at their outdoor venue. This is a review of that space. The location is quite pretty, but be forewarned that it is, in significant ways, still a construction zone. The parking area is unfinished, as is the driveway that leads in to the complex. Ticket sales and vending (high-priced snacks, farm goods, and chachki with their logo) are done on the edge of the parking area under a temporary tent structure. The restrooms are also located here in a completed structure. The performance venue itself is down a steep, grassy, uneven hillside from the parking area. I nearly tripped in a couple of significant holes. It had been some time since the venue was last mowed, as well. Clearly, this is not ADA-compliant in any sense, and was rather shocking that they thought this arrangement was OK, especially considering that the audience had a significant number of older members. The stage is defined at its back edge by a parabolic concrete wall, meant clearly to reflect sound back toward the audience. The seating area consists of several tiers of grass with concrete walls at the back edge of each. The concrete wall behind the actors did reflect sound toward the audience, which was good, else it would have bene very hard to hear them. However, much of the performance took place off the front edge of the stage, meaning that the direct sound from the actors and the reflection off the wall were slightly out of sync with each other - rather distracting and confusing. The tiered seating worked well enough, except that some people brought chairs and others sat on the grass, so that those sitting on chairs blocked the view of the grass sitters. This was problematical. For some reason, a microphone on a stand was placed out in front of the stage. It was apparently connected to a single box speaker that was mounted on a tripod and placed to one side of the stage. It was never used, but did interfere with the performance. What they really needed was wireless microphones on each of the performers, with a proper sound system to bring those voices out to the audience. Such a system would likely include speakers to the sides of the stage and behind the audience. Curiously, staff at the venue seemed to think that what they did in the line of sight of the audience behind the stage was somehow magically invisible. One person stood with a large camera kitted out with a telephoto lens photographing the audience. (Did you ask our permission to be photographed? hmmm...) Other staff casually walked past behind the stage or, in one instance, drove a noisy vehicle past, all of which was quite distracting. What were they thinking? In sum, this venue has potential, but it needs a considerable amount of work and investment in additional equipment. The staff also need to learn what it means to respect the performers whom they invite in and the audience that pays to be there. read more

The restaurant at Robin Hills Farm is finally open! I had brunch last Saturday with my daughter and friends. The food and service was amazing. My favorite dish was the rainbow trout. The meat was really tender with great flavor. This is definitely a very nice place to bring the family and friends for brunch. This was my first farm to table experience, I could tell how fresh and flavorful the food was. Besides, the restaurant is right on the lake with a beautiful view. Afterwards, we shopped around their retail area, they have a great selection of local products. They even carry products from Cherry Republic. We all had a great time. I'll be back :-) read more
