The atmosphere is awesome. The waitresses are awesome. The view was fantastic and the food most importantly very filling and delicious.

I will NEVER pass up the opportunity to have nachos on a patio on a sunny day! Ordered the nachos, added ground beef. Have to admit when they were initially served my reaction was disappointed. They looked pretty plain and the chips "cheap" especially for the price. Boy was I wrong! Ok..well...the chips were pretty cheap quality. You might not even notice though because of the excellent cheese (yeah not the orange gooey stuff!) and generous about of ground beef. The cheese, beef, and jalapeños were SO good! Since I drink NA beer it's a must on aforementioned sunny day with a patio. They have two options. Could have more...but no complaints. Our server was EXCELLENT. I wish I'd gotten her name so I could mention it. I think they said my table number was like 206 or 207? in case aa manager reads this because she deserves a shout out. 9 years of working in restaurants myself I don't say excellent often. She didn't miss a beat without being overly attentive, and was very kind/friendly. Blue and white nails if that helps bc again she deserves a shout out. :) I only went inside to use the restroom but WOW it's beautiful. I believe this place has been opened for almost 50 years so they must have redone it. Its big, beautiful, bright. I'd definitely go back on a winter day and sit inside bc it's bound to lift your spirits. Clean restrooms, ample parking, across from the beach. Well done, beach bar! read more

Beach Bar is a must when visiting the Clark Lake area. Amazing ambiance that makes you feel like part of the community. This year I visited during the annual Hermit Crab races- so much fun and a great tradition. The utopia salad, beach bar cheesy bread and a pizza are three of my favorites. Stopped in for lunch today. Due to mobility issues, I am using a walker & struggle to stand & walk Waited quite a while for a hostess to seat us. After passing plenty of empty tables that were close to the entrance, we were seated. Drinks arrived promptly. Appetizer of pretzel bites & cheese arrived promptly. Cheese was more like soup & was served with napkins for the 4 of us, no plates or silverware. Tomato soup arrived, no cheese on top. Lunch entrees arrived immediately after soup arrived -- timing was definitely too quick. Why the rush? My husband's Utopia Salad had no turkey or croutons. Had to ask for silverware. Bills were brought out before we were even done eating. It wasn't even busy. Why were the stuffed mushrooms removed from the menu? We have been dining at the Beach Bar for 35+ years. I got a couple carryout bowls of the "Famous" Tomato soup since everyone made such a huge deal out of it and I LOVE tomato soup!! Not a fan. Big bummer. It literally tastes like doctored up Campbell's Tomato soup which I already can't stand. Maybe Ill try it again if I make it into my 70's. I figure since I enjoyed it when I was a small child, I may like it towards the end of my life when I cant really taste anything anymore. If I were rating the soup alone, it would've been 1 star. We were in the area and stopped in for a drink and appetizer for my birthday weekend outing. We went for a drive looking for new places to try and just cruise around. I saw a sign for the Beach Bar and we took the turn. The place is huge! Loads of seating and very popular for a Sunday afternoon. We were seated immediately but the wait for a first visit to the table was considerable. Not a big deal but just to note that they are understaffed - as most places are - and to be patient. The buffalo chicken dip was gross. We were told it's their most popular appetizer, however, it was weird in texture and taste. We couldn't eat it but didn't send it back either. Could have been our preference. I ordered an Ultimate margarita and was surprised to find that it was tiny and didn't taste right, like there was bad musty water in the drink. Too sweet (or too much) margarita mix and stale something. For a $14 margarita - you expect a larger glass with a great drink. I wouldn't order this again if it were $5 on happy hour. It was in a glass that was just a little larger than a rocks glass. The three stars is for the atmosphere, and friendliness of the staff. It had a large, gorgeous dining room. Amazing patio and plenty of parking for being a lakeside venue. We won't be back for the food or drinks. Both were disappointing. read more

Never had really exactly a bad experience here but have felt neglected by the service. That has always been our biggest issue. The meals have been all right. At least the entree. But I do feel like the bag of chips as a side is a little bit tacky and cheap. In my opinion you feel like leaving there still hungry. I know there are more known for their pizzas but whenever I go there with family that's just something that we haven't got there. I know that they have games there for kids so for that it's good. It's a fun environment but I can't talk much more on my own personal experiences. read more

Have never been here before, was staying on Clark Lake and we took our pontoon over to the end where this was on. They had plans for you to park your boat and leave so you can enjoy dining in, the place also had AC which was super nice in the heat. Honestly the service was amazing, we got sat very fast the place is huge and everything we ordered was delicious and came out in a timely manner. We were in the area and wanted to try a non-chain restaurant. The atmosphere was everything we wanted and more. The kids enjoyed the outdoor play area (giant Jenga, bean bags, Connect Four, etc.). Our server was on her second day, but still did well. Tomato soup is what they're known for, and it was very good. The kid's meal pizzas were a hit. The day was Wednesday June 21, 2025, beautiful sunny day around 2:00 p.m., my sister had driven out from Brighton, we decided to go eat, I suggested Beach Bar... their was only about 3 cars in the Beach Bar parking lot, at about 2:30 in the afternoon, in a Saturday....It was packed down all along the water, just wall to wall people buzzing all around walking everywhere...but what I thought was odd... was they were not coming thru the door of the Beach Bar??? NEVER, ever have I seen it like this, on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon's day. We park go on in to eat...I was shocked that that there was only two tables with a people sitting at them. I notice the salad with turkey, black olives, cheese, etc., is not on the menu I remember it being called the Towney Salad...I suggest tomato soup and a Rueben to my sister.....she orders that, I end up with a cherry salad...not what I wanted, not what I had been ordering and eating the last 40 years...The food comes out, my sister's Ruben was pathetic looking. barely any meat at all on the Ruben, at best a couple slices if there was even that. The bread on the Ruben Sandwich was barely, I mean barely toasted, maybe a teaspoon of saurkraut on the Ruben sandwich and one slim slice of cheese. My sister's tomatoe soup came out cold not even warm, a bowl, no cheese on top, cold stale croutons on top, Out comes a puny looking cherry salad about the size of a small saucer....barely nothing on the salad, a lil cup of some red salad dressing....PATHETIC looking, puny looking, about three pieces. small pieces of barely toasted at all bread on top of this lil salad... WHAT A TOTAL RIP OFF, TOTAL RIP OFF meal we were brought out and sat on the table in front of us....We were appalled....pissed off would be and understatement.....NO wonder there was only a couple people eating here on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon!! NEVER, NEVER again after 40 years... I WILL NOT be back again, not ever....Do you have new cooks in the kitchen???? No one seemed to give a shit at all....I now see why there was NO ONE in the place eating....you were being given NO FOOD on your plates to eat???? I had been here once before just for a drink and appetizer, this time was for dinner. Everyone raves about the tomato soup at my workplace so I decided to finally try it. It def doesn't disappoint, a good combination of tomato and cheese, a bowl could be a whole meal! I also had their Bloody Mary which was pretty standard, made from scratch but doesn't taste much different than others I've had. I grew up at nearby Lake Columbia and the Beach Bar is the best restaurant in the area. It's been around since the 1940's and has expanded numerous times. It's packed in the summer, especially on the weekends, but it's still busy in the winter. It's open 7 days a week in the summer and closed on Monday and Tuesday in the winter. The Beach Bar is located just across the street from the lake. The food here consists mostly of soup, sandwiches, salads and pizza. The place doesn't have a deep fryer or frozen food so don't expect a lot of deep fried bar food. Many people recommend the pizza which is different. I usually stick to the rest of the menu. By far, this place has the best soup I've ever had. Every day the Beach Bar serves Clam Chowder soup and Tomato soup. Friday's they serve their famous Oyster Bisque. Normally there are two to three additional soups. The soup is phenomenal. I always get the Tomato soup which is the best soup I've ever had. If you want a unique restaurant with good food, and a good atmosphere, run, don't walk to the Beach Bar. read more

Couple weeks ago my mother had a seizure while we were having lunch here. Our waitress was a nursing student who stayed with us and called 911. Along with another lady who was also there eating lunch. Forever thankful for those two wonder ladies. The restaurant sent us on our way to the hospital with extra food, no charge even when we tried paying before we left. Awesome service before everything happened and during. First of all we did not eat there but were on a friends boat and went to watch a live band on a Sunday evening. Loved the bar inside, reminds me of an old time place. Shuffleboard and a few of games with wood décor. Outdoor patio was jammed. If you like to people watch this place is for you. It would remind you of a college frat house party except all the drunks are in their 50s and 60s. Seen quite a few geezers boozed up with the UA sleeveless tank on, and dancing with their boob enhanced mid 50s wives....it was actually very funny and entertaining though. Food was good but not as Great as it "used to be"! The Tomato Soup used to be "the best" years back...I have had better. The Cheese bread was so doughy and full of cheese was sickening. Couldn't hardly chew it...or stop chewing it to swallow so we took it home. The drinks I ordered were TERRIBLE!! Was a Wed night with the best band ever though (70's-80's rock). Also went the week before (Good band) because we were back in town. Ordered a Rum Runner and I couldn't drink it! Maybe "cheap" liquor made it taste terrible, was way too strong tasting like poison. I pasted it around and no one liked it so it wasn't just me. She made me another, left it! Went to the other bar, husband asked to "top shelf" ....gross!! I don't know what was wrong. Bartender said it was the "dark" rum so she dumped it and made another with light run, more juice which was a better flavor but geez! This is a "bar" and they can't make drinks! Did run into old friends and people from years ago so that is always fun. Looks like a great "pick up" joint for the younger crowd now. haha read more

I'd rate probably 3.5 stars, but rounded up. Across the street from the lake, but still a good view. Service is good, not great. Food is good, not great. Solid bar food. Their patio is large and they have live music on certain nights, which is fun. The only real drawback to this place is the clientele on busy nights. It's all drunk college kids and people in their 40s and 50s who have either never grown out of their drunk college kid phase or like to reminisce a bit too much. It makes for good people watching, don't get me wrong, but if it's the kind of night where you want to be on a lake without having to hear various "WOOOOOO!"s, this might not be the right time to visit here. read more

Absolutely love the remodel! Sand colored wood flooring, new tables and chairs, and stunning lighting. So grateful to be able to enjoy the great southwest chicken wrap again. Husband says the Clam Chowder is "freaking awesome ". Had to go back for lunch today to see a former favorite waitress who now makes all their soups.
