Burgers are a bit pricey and I really don't care for the fries. I've tried this place a few times just not that thrilled about the food.

Over glorified hole in the wall bar and grill. There is a lot of hype for which I don't understand. The cold factory atmosphere makes you uncomfortable where you feel hot and cold at the same time. It looks like they invested too much money in the decor and not enough on the importance of food quality ! I ordered a grilled cheese .. simple right ? Apparently not, they needed to add their own zest too it which consisted of honey and an unidentifiable cooked bitter herb in my sandwich. When wanting to exchange the sand which they weren't willing to work with me. This was my first and last visit at chomp burger. read more

Great service, great drinks, and great food! As a vegan it was awesome to be able to enjoy a burger with my non-veggie family, and have options besides the standard black bean patty. You can basically make any burger vegan or vegetarian at least, and being able to sub out for the Beyond Burger was an awesome surprise. read more

OMG! I think this might be the best burger restaurant I've found in more than 20 states. Diverse menu, great ingredient quality, every meat you might want on yours (plus 2 veg options). AND... Decent place but just be aware they are very very over priced! Impossible burger $20! They charge the same price if you ask for no meat on a salad, (most restaurants charge you extra to add protein on salads). $8 for a small 1/2 garden salad (was supposed to be $7), $8.75 for small basket of fried pickles. No help or explanation from on site manager other than she understood my concern and no reply from a follow up email to management the next day. Disappointed. read more

This place is much better than when it first opened and as one of only two places to dine outside in Adrian I love the patio. The salads are really good and my husband likes all the burger options. The service was really good and it is really affordable. The wine list is still pretty limited. I would love to see this place get some Michigan made sparkling wines from L. Mawby. Only thing going for the place is the aquarium and the bar set up. I went in at least 3 times. Every time I had a snotty miss informed server. Food was bland and cold. Payed $11 for a over cooked burger less than half a centimeter thick and some soggy cold fries. I will never return again. read more

My daughter, who attends Adrian College, and I went in to eat after a recommendation and after a long day at a regatta. The ENTIRE staff that we dealt with (finding that it is a family owned/ran restaurant ) were so great! I am a chef and know the industry well, and sometimes to my kids chagrin, "work" every time I eat out. Well, THIS place is amazing. Friendly, welcoming, informative, interactive, authentic and just a great experience. The ambience is so cool, including a great fish aquarium, clockwork exposed interfacing, lively and comfortable. EAT here! The house made BBQ sauce is worth all of it! I built my own "burger" after inquiring about the impossible burger, that as a vegetarian, had never tried. TRY it,especially with all of the amazing toppings that Chomp offers, including Brie, Basil etc. Great experience. I'll be back! Very pleased with the service. We are out-of-town-ers on the PALM bike trek and we had tons of options in Adrian's downtown. We heard second hand how awesome this place was so we decided to try it. I was anxious for Chomp Burger to open, would drive by for months watching the progress, anticipating a fantastic, eclectic, delicious dining experience. Well, sadly, I was crushed when it was anything but those words listed above. Let's begin: The service was horrible. Example: the waitress did not know the menu (really??? how hard can burgers and a few salads be???). She was distracted and did not listen to a word either my friend nor I said (I ordered no onion on salad and it came with onions while my friends salads' main ingredient was red onion and it arrived without). Next, she messed up our bills, twice (how hard is one burger, side of mac n'cheese and a half salad and a diet coke), she continually looked like she was running like a chicken with her head cut off, never offered to refill my soda and had to be asked twice to fill my friends. Now for the food: one word, horrible. Ordered a burger and a side of mac n'cheese. Burger was thin, cold, over cooked, leathery in appearance and texture and had no taste. Could not differentiate between this burger and one from a local fast food chain. The fries, although promising, were cold and hard. The mac n'cheese (which was barely room temperature) was a box of Barilla pasta with melted Cheese Wiz, could have done better by cracking open a Kraft Easy Mac. Lastly, the waitress as mentioned above, messed up our check twice. The final straw for me was the last *corrected bill she brought us was $14. and change. The credit card slip brought back for signature was $21 and change! When we pointed it out, the Manager (if that is what you want to call her) came to the table and said it was a mistake. She could not produce for us the correct amount of our bill! $14+ and $21+ is quite a leap. Further, she refused to take back the $21 charge and charge us appropriately nor bring us a receipt for the actual amount. Left frustrated after asking for contact information for owner and not receiving it. Will never go back and will tell everyone I see to avoid this place like the plague. Apparently Chomp Burger, all your "dry runs" left you, well, dry. Overall-disappointed. read more

Homemade Fried pickles fresh from the kitchen were a great start after waiting quite a while for a drink order. The burgers are varied and innovative if you can tolerate the poor service. Let me preface this with "this was easily the worst dining experience I've ever had" I arrived at the location around 5:30pm on a Saturday and was told there would be a 30 min wait (ended up only being like 10). We got seated and our waiter took our drink order two bottle beers and one draft and a water, took almost 35 minutes to receive. 20 more minutes later we asked the manager if we could order because our waiter was MIA. Came here with my boyfriend on a Saturday afternoon, there was no wait and we were seated promptly. We ordered a coke and a lemonade- the coke was flat and the lemonade was carbonated and tasted more like unidentifiable citrus than lemonade. We both ordered regular hamburgers, he had cheese and no ketchup or mustard and I added jalapeño to mine. The food took extremely long to get to us and we were never offered refills. Our waitress was young so maybe she was new to waitressing? But didn't do a very good job regardless. Once we got our food his had condiments on it but luckily mine didn't so we just exchanged buns. Other than that the burgers were decent but the fries were inedible. They weren't cooked all the way and were drenched with seasoning and were so salty neither of us could eat them. The ipad ordering system is a cool idea but really needs to go at this place, it's unnecessary and holds up the waitstaff. The interior is awesome but the service and food needs dire improvement :( I wish our experience is better because we were really looking forward to Chomp opening up, but I'm unsure if we'll ever stop in again. read more

Stopped here for lunch on a recent visit with family, wish we hadn't. The burgers are dry , overcooked and undersized for the price, the buns and bread were stale and dry, and the fries were overly salted and stale tasting. None of our party of 4 were impressed with the food. The service was OK, the waitress was friendly and was quick with the drink orders. Due to the poor quality of the food, this is not a place we will return to on future visits. Family members who live in Adrian remarked that they would not be returning either. read more

For a Burger-joint, not much to write home about. Small, over-cooked and not hand-pattied. Fries were strange - different - not bad just different. I got the Garlic and Cilantro fries and they seem to be baked earlier and then when ordered they are sautéed. Strange. Beers are a bit pricey. They have a Patio and neat Steam-Punked theme. Food is hit or miss. I got the Rebel Reuben burger on 2 different occasions and it was very good the first time and just so so the second time. I do like that they have Michigan beers. Service is also hit or miss. read more

The first time we went, it was great with handmade patties and good flavor. We went back, but the food changed significantly. Tasted like preformed patties with very little flavor. Fries were a little over cooked and dark brown. Service is always good. read more

We stopped in tonight for some takeout tonight. When we got home with our food everything was much better than our first visit. We asked that our burgers be cooked medium if possible and they did come up MUCH juicier then our first visit. The fries were just as good. We will definitely be coming back now in the future. Charge for refills, even on a five ounce kids cup. Mixed peach drink was TERRIBLE. You know a mixed drink is good when the wife adds sugar. Kg Grilled cheese came not grilled, one piece of cheese not melted, no grill marks whatsoever. Staff and manager seemed confused when I showed them and tried to tell me that's what I ordered, an uncooked piece of cheese. Sons grilled cheese also not good at all. Really nice atmosphere but the menu lacks small bites/appetizers and variety. Burgers and Fries are it folks and it's ALL red meat. Where's the gourmet turkey burgers? Salmon burgers? Mini burgers? Burger sampler? Better sides? Lighter food? They need more friendly staff as well. Seems a bit "clicky". If you plan to last long enough to pay for the really nice building you built, you're going to have to make some changes!!! read more
