The only time I can pass judgment on a chain restaurant is when they kinda fail at everything. So here goes - I was in the car for 10 hours no food and wanted something a bit better than the king or the Golden Arches before I crash landed at home. I got in to retrieve an online order pick up which went smoothly enough but I was shocked at how GROSS the whole store was as I was waiting. The doors/windows all were painted up like kindergarten and finger paint but with grimy smudges of god knows what all over everything - the counters, tables, trash area had food and debris piled up. When I retrieved my food I saw zero napkins , asked for some and was given a good amount but went back to the utensils area to find no forks (or spoons or knives for that matter) and had to ask for that as well. I wanted to chill there after I had ordered take out since it was a long day in the car but after seeing the condition of the place I had no desire and just got back in the car. I know since Covid they have been skimping on portion sizes but man this was the saddest chicken bowl ya ever saw. Barely any rice I was so let down. Having never been to this location before (and really not to chipotle that often ever) I won't be rushing back sadly. read more

The changing of the chipotle ceo seemed like it has helped. We have returned and the portions sizes have improved. I always order on the app, it if I don't, I send my very large, built husband in to guarantee the largest portions possible. I stopped going here a while ago. My son asked if we could try it again, so we gave it a shot. The same problems that made me stop going last time still exist. Filthy tables, trash cans full to the brim and overflowing, no napkins, skimpy on the chicken and the rice in my burrito. DISGUSTING. I came with my sister on 8/29 and we walked into a MESS. We should have just walked out but she really wanted a bowl. There were bugs dead on the side of the containers ... flies EVERYWHERE. We waited a long time for someone to come serve us. She ordered and we sat at a table that may have never been cleaned.. the floor was COVERED in squished food. There is no way this place won't be shut down by the health department. I love chipotle anytime I want a quick, yummy meal. I tried the new seasoned chicken they recently added to their menu and it was super flavorful! My go to is the burrito bowl loaded with brown rice, chicken, corn, cheese, mild salsa and guac of course! I have had good experiences so far at this new location in Southbury. I haven't had to wait long, the food is always fresh and hot, the service is quick and efficient and I always leave with exactly what I ordered! Love this addition to the plaza in Southbury and will defintely be back! read more

I pulled into the chipotle parking lot at 9:33, the website and door both say they close at 10:00. I drove 20 minutes to get there just to be disappointed. Me and my girlfriend were going to order food and there were 3 more customers standing in the rain willing to order. Closing the store 30 minutes before stated is embarrassing for a business and shows terrible management. This is worst chipotle I've been to in years, every time I come they are always out of something and the last two times I come they either don't have chicken or steak, it's absurd that they can't keep up with such a slow traffic area, I've been to NY and other chipotle's and they always have all types of meat ready or just coming off the grill. Went there today and was very disappointed. There was not a clean table to sit at. Garbage all over the counter where you get utensils and the cabinets underneath that were filthy. The cabinet where they put the to go orders has not been cleaned at all. So disappointing since it's such a nice area. Honestly I'm baffled at the fact that this restaurant is even open. If I could give it a zero I would. First I went in on a Sunday around 7 to grab dinner for my family. First time trying this location despite the reviews I decided to give it a try. Worst idea ever! First it's run by kids who are clearly untrained. The cross contamination issue is health department needs to intervene level. Besides being out of everything because as one employee said "we missed the shipment" the customer service was horrific. But okay I'm trying to be optimistic it's a new place with young workers, they don't know how to properly wear a mask but then I check out and the person taking cash (dirty pandemic disgusting cash) is wearing gloves. He asks if I want chips with my child's meal and I say yes. So he takes these disgusting contaminated gloves sticks them in the whole container of chips and tries to put them in a bag. I call him out immediately! He stares at me and give me a dirty look and huffs and puff as he changes his gloves and puts them back in the already contaminated chips. I told him forget it I didn't want them and just to check me out. Oh and of course they had no bags that fit the food. He forgot my kids apple juice. But they didn't forget to charge me. No discount no apology just rude, disgusting customer service. I'm so disappointed that this place was this bad. And the whole "it's still new" excuse is played out and potentially making people and children Ill is unacceptable.
