Rice and beans from lomo saltado
    Lah I.

Please do not judge but with coronavirus my sleeping habits are all out of wack...I woke up at 7:30am and thought it was 7:30pm and got right up to order food thinking everything was about to close lol!!! To my surprise la Mexicana popped up and I ordered right away at 7:30 in the morning!!! Yes after I placed the order I realized it was am and not pm but I wasn't gonna cancel if they were actually fulfilling the order. This was the best bang for my buck!! I ordered myself this and than ordered my daughter, niece and nephew breakfast at McDonald's and the bill was the same!! Lomo saltado is my go to everywhere, mostly Peruvian style so this style was different. It definitely was more of a tomato flavor not bad but definitely not the regular flavor I'm use to and it was a very thin steak not like a real hearty steak more like shaved beef but kinda thicker. The French fries are the coated ones. I threw them in my air fryer and 3 mins later they were crunchy and delicious. Traditionally the fries are served under the lomo but I had them separately. The beef taco was delicious also I love when a steak taco actually has flavor on the meat. The avocado salad was awesome. The amount of avocado they gave was generous and if u love avocado thats a huge plus!! My bill was less than $20 for all this food!!! A simple avocado salad will have me going back and try different things. Can't wait!!

Let's begin a rainy day review!…read more So Blue Agave came up on my Activity Feed after an Elite I had met at a previous event had reviewed it themselves, and I had been kind of wanting to give Blue Agave a try ever since. Actually, if not for Southern Classic Daiquiri Factory which opened much closer to the station, I would have come here last month. Better late than never I suppose? So anywho, I made my way over on the way home from an in-service training at work. Honestly, other than having to cross a gas station across the street from it, this was pretty straightforward to get to. Like the same reviewer I had learned about this place from, I too was at first confused upon arrival. In my case, it was because the right side had their lights on, making me wonder if it was two places with one being closed. Turns out, they're both part of the same location! So I went inside. Now, because I was kind of in a hurry, I had to do take-out, and thankfully, service obliged without complaint. It was easy to pick up a menu and make clear what I had wanted to order. This is something in which this place succeeded at where another Mexican restaurant just walking distance from my apartment back home was completely failed. That way, when I finally made my order, I knew what was getting. I went with the nachos chorizo, and they gave me all the works (without the tomatoes of course because I don't put tomatoes in my orders if I can help it). I also got the fruit punch soda in a glass bottle. I will say, if you get soda like this, make sure you have a bottle opener. I used my handheld blade kit that had a bottle opener as one of the tools and used that when I made it all the way home. The drink was good (definitely drink this cold if possible), and so were the nachos. Actually, the chorizo nachos would be perfect for those who prefer a little spice in their foods. These definitely had a decent kick to them, and the jalapeños only accentuated this. The chorizo is juicy, and the cheese is tasty. You can see some onion, avocado, and I think there might be refried bean in there too? Either way, this comes together quite well I must say. I would say Blue Agave is off to a pretty good start here. I'm gonna hold off on a 5 for now, but I'll gladly give it a 4. I'd be more than happy to try out a few more items here in the future and get a better look around the place next time.

At first I thought they were closed, but their light was just off awaiting a customer, so don't be discouraged to walk in if you see the light off. They been open for 3 months now. We ordered several tacos of chicken, chorizo (very spicy), and mixto that comes with lengua, steak, and al pastor. My favorite was the steak. Everything was seasoned well with good portions. Only complaint is that the chicken could have been juicier. Inside they sell hand crafted items. My man bought the boot shot glass and I got the clay salt and pepper shakers. So if you're passing around, I suggest you give them a try and support this family businesses.

I had such a great time celebrating my birthday!…read more Our waiter, Steve was awesome! My friend and I had asked for his drink and food recommendations and they didn't disappoint. He was super attentive and full of energy. I had the blood orange margarita and it wasnt too sweet. If you're looking for flavor with a balance and sweet and tart, def give it a try! The street corn was everything. It was served off the cob with corn tortilla chips to scoop (game changer). I had three tacos: rock shrimp, lomo saltado, and pork belly. The lomo saltado was my fav. Super juicy and the sauce really paired well with the meat and french fries. We ended the night with a birthday tequila shot and tres leches cake. I'm a huge fan of tres leches and Latina Catina is now added to my list of fav places to order from. I can't wait to go back for happy hour. They have two separate times (3-6) and (10-close). You can't beat that! See you again for margaritas and tacos!

We will definitely be back. We had the tacos- shrimp, pork belly and calamari. Really well priced and tasty too. The cocktails were good- the dragonfruit margarita and the vodka berry lemonade . One of the better happy hour offerings in the area.
