This is my first and only review ever. This Chipotle consistently double charges for orders through the app and portions are comically small. The app will take your money from the order, then say the restaurant is having issues processing payments. When you arrive at the restaurant, the staff will make you wait in line and reorder the food so that you end up paying twice. After calling Chipotle customer service, you'll get your money back for one of the orders in a few days, but it's seriously not worth the hassle for what should be a fast casual meal and the quality of food you get. Perhaps the negative reviews are older and don't represent the current state of this location. I came on a Thursday night and the place was extremely clean. There were a few people in line and it moved quickly. The server behind the counter was friendly and made a good portion size bowl. The sofritas were hot and fresh. Some of these reviews are honestly over the top. I get being frustrated, but getting that upset over things like guac is a bit much. As someone who used to work there, I can say the employees deal with a lot and don't get paid enough to handle that kind of pressure from customers. It's okay to have complaints, but there's a way to do it without taking it out on workers. If it bothers you that much, it might be easier to just make your own food at home. I just stopped in for a quick dinner and was charged for guac (included in my meal) and I asked for a drink. When I went to get the drink, there was nothing available without caffeine, nor ice, nor lids, nor straws. I asked for a refund for the guac and the drink. The kid told me I paid for the cup not the drink. So I guess with that policy, bring your own cup and drink whatever you want for free? read more

Worst experience ever. My husband ordered a chicken quesedilla on-line because digital only. When he got there, they hadn't even started the order. The quesedilla I wouldn't even feed to my dog. I just watched the guy in front of me get beef and they loaded up his bowl and then I got chicken and the girl gives me literally a quarter of what the guy got and he didn't even get double meat and I said why don't I get more chicken? She's all we're running out I'm like well so I should still get my full servings. Absolutely the worst experience, period. They nickel and dime you for every little thing you want. Ya want chips? Get ready to pay extra for salsa. Freaking greedy! I finally got my food, then tried to find a damn fork. Nope. All gone - I had to find someone and tell them. Then I tried to find a table. As in a clean table. Nowhere in sight. I picked the cleanest one I could find - I'm not about to do the job that the workers are supposed to do. And then these 2 women and their toddler baby clean off the table next to me so they could sit and eat. (Yes, they cleaned it off. Take note, Chipotle - stop being so damn lazy.) This is by far the worst experience I have had in a chipotle restaurant. The first time I ordered online and waited 20 minutes from my designated pickup time to obtain my order. This last time I waited an additional 15 minutes for my order. We ordered bowls and they were half empty. They either don't cooked enough product or they being stingy with how much they put in on the bowls. Some bowls were more full than the others. Which indicates who ever it making the order is not being accurate with the portions they serving. Customer services is average. They also were out of fresh Gaia frescas drink products. The location inside is limited with seating and not big enough for a town that is over growing it's resources. read more

I came for dinner at 9:30, 30 minutes before they're supposed to close (as listed on google and on the the hours written on their doors), only to find that they had closed 30 minutes early. Placed our order on line. Came in to pick up and literally waited 25 mins with 4 other people waiting to pick up. I noticed that the bags being set out were for "time promised" after my designated time. I asked about it and when the manager came out she said their system went down so ours must have been lost. After contacting our credit card to cancel, we were told to get in line (which was of course, now long). 50 minutes later, we have our order. When you know your system has gone down and you see 5-6 people waiting for their orders, it is advisable to ask if something is going on. I'm sure they're short handed, as so many businesses are, but that is not a good excuse for being abrupt with a customer that did nothing more than order, wait patiently for 25 mins & ask when their order would be coming up. I would generally never give a score based solely on a service issue, however, there were many opportunities to fix it, not the least of which is just to say I'm sorry and try to expedite a solution. Odd discriminatory behavior, blatant dishonesty, tricked into purchasing a more expensive beverage. Today I stopped in with my daughter for a quick bite to eat. We were at the register and the cashier, a guy with glasses, asked us if we needed anything else. My daughter decided she wanted a drink. The cashier proceeded to explain to us that the fountain machine was broken so we could only purchase one of the bottled drinks in the cooler behind him. Fine, no big deal I guess. We sat and enjoyed our meal. A couple parties of 2 and a party of 5 came in after us. After awhile, my daughter noticed each and every one of them were drinking fountain drinks and going back and forth to the machine and refilling them. The fountain machine was working fine. I wanted to get to the bottom of this, so I decided to confront the cashier. He acted dumbfounded, and actually said, "Is it working? I didn't know." Excuse me? Then who gave almost a dozen people after me fountain cups?! Why wasn't it working for me but it was suddenly working for ALL of them? THIS IS DISCRIMINATION. I never got an answer as to why my daughter and I were treated differently and outright lied to over something like the fountain machine working. In fact, one of the customers ganged up on me for questioning this unjust practice. This is Trump's new America. Screw chain restaurants, they're part of the problem. Zero stars. read more

Well it's obvious when coming to leave my review that this location is struggling with customer service. Anyways, we put in our order and drove all the way across town to pick it up. When finishing my online order it offered me a reward and points to make a profile. I make the profile and it pops up with a reward for a free chips and guacamole expiring today, therefore we must in fact get it today. My brother gives the woman at the counter the code while picking up our order and she says "oh sorry you have to make a $5 purchase in order to use this." He told her "yes we just made this purchase I'm picking up" and she says "oh no you payed for that order before using this coupon so your going to have to spend $5.00 in order to get the offer." Wtf like HELLO.... They offered the coupon for the order I had just placed and payed for and conveniently made it to expire the same day so we can and would have to use it TODAY. luckily for them I wasn't the one who went to pick up the order and my brother brushed it off because I would have really tested their ability of common sense which clearly is lacking. On top of all of this we ordered the organic watermelon limeade and my brother who does Uber orders and when they put the drink in the sealed bag it's because it's packaged ready to go. Upon his arrival home and to our surprise there's an empty cup in the sealed pickup bag. WOW..... totally not shocked though. That could have been a simple mistake and not something I'd complain about we should have checked I guess but after the whole thing with not honoring the free chips and guacamole I decided I'd add it so anyone reading this can be VERY prepared if deciding to test their luck when visiting this store. Definitely will not be back which sucks cuz the food was good but the service ruined it! Follow up- I just wasted about another half an hour of my time to follow up directly on the chipotle website after Scott followed up on my earlier review. After talking to an automated response team I finally got to someone real supposedly and was AFTER EVERYTHING offered a free drink reward on my profile which expires in 30 days. Their scanner wouldn't register my eGiftcard, and when I asked the cashier if they could manually enter the card number, they said it would take too long and that there were people behind me. Really? I don't appreciate the cashier suggesting I was holding up the line when it was their technology's error. There was no reason to spend money out-of-pocket when I had a valid gift card. First of all, I think it is fabulous that Chipotle hires so many young men to work at this store. They ARE undertrained especially on customer communication skills. I am not the only customer to notice this. Scan the reviews here. It was so bad, I almost asked the boy, "Guey, how did your father abuse you THIS WEEK?" I bit my tongue. I smiled. Not my problem. I do not blame the boys. But management absolutely needs to work on this with kindness, understanding, and as AMLO says, "apapacho." Again, it is wonderful the kids are given this opportunity. I know management cannot improve every employee. In my 28 years, across about 60 employees I had two massive failures among the young ones whom we hired KNOWING they did not know the job. We trained them. That part was largely satisfactory. But two in particular had such utterly abhorrent attitudes I worked behind the scenes to get them hired away to WFC and Oak Tree. Enough war stories. But you have to make the effort to upgrade people skills. Second, the pricing. I had not stepped into a Chipotle since early 2016 when I would, beginning about 2011 (not sure of the first year as we went to Pot Belly almost exclusively in about 2005-2010), treat our Chicago analysts to one of their favorites, Chipotle. I was in for sticker shock. Eight years is a very long time. But still. To prove the point, it is actually CHEAPER to eat a burrito at, say, Valentina's than at this Chipotle today. And the Valentina offering is decidedly better. And the booths are comfortable. And you can order a beer. And in the early evening you get live mariachi music. And there is no attitude. read more

This place is run by a bunch of tweens that have no adult supervision to ensure they're getting the job done right. Three times in a row they've either forgotten something from my order, messed it up or a combination of the two. With little variations and options of food items you'd think it'd be pretty easy to get it right? This is why am adult needs to be present to ensure they've been TRAINED to know how to work in service industry. As for customer service. Well...let's just say they're lacking in people skills due to the severe lack of training as previously mentioned. This must be the ONLY Mexican restaurant in Santa Fe that doesn't offer red or green chile with tacos or burritos. Even if you want New Mexico chile, they don't have any. The carne asada burritos are pretty good and consistent with other Chipotle grills. Their prices are higher than local grills - like Baja Tacos - $9 vs $6, but service is generally pretty quick. Still, I think Baja Tacos down the street offers better, tastier tacos and burritos. read more

We have been longtime fans of Chipotle, but this was our first visit to the Santa Fe location and while the food tasted okay, the service was horrid, most of the ingredients were missing and the beans looked several days old. Staff offered us the remaining ingredients but didn't tell us that those cost extra. We found that when we got our total. When we asked about it, the person that served us lied directly to our face and said that she had told us that those ingredients cost extra. I don't mind paying extra, I just don't like to be insulted by being lied to. The service there is never good, not very friendly whatsoever and could care less that they can't complete an order. I have gave them many chances and seem to be let down every time I go there. Food prep was fine. But that was it. The tortillas were cold after getting out of steamer. Tacos had a pool of bean juice in the bottom of basket. The were out of regular rice brown only. It was really loud the weird music was blasting on top of it just being a loud space. Every table out of a choice of a dozen were dirty. I asked them to clean the tables she came out wiped the tables onto the seats. I pointed out what she'd done and she fixed it. I'm a huge chipotle fan. I just moved to Santa Fe and have ordered online from here twice. Each time, order completely wrong with 2/3 of ingredients missing. They gave me a burrito with only rice, beans and meat. On top of that, the meat is tough, dry and nearly inedible. I complained with no response or offer for a refund. I regret giving them the benefit of the doubt and trying it again. Skip this franchise for sure, waste of money read more

I am sorry to give these guys a one star review, but it was really exceptionally bad! Ordered a veggie burrito online with brown rice black beans and guacamole. There was not one shred of veggie to be found. It had a few beans and basically a cup and a half of cold, not quite fully cooked brown rice and some guac. I should've known better than to get a burrito at chipotle when I am in New Mexico, but I have frequented chipotle in California and they have always been great. Only reason I went there is because I needed some food on a quick break between visiting patients. They did have it ready on time, for which I applaud them. But with all the other great choices around Santa Fe, I will definitely not be going back there for a second experience! read more
