Concerning hygiene. The place was filthy when I went this past Saturday. Food splattered all over the kitchen. Clearly short staffed and staff was trying their best but need more people and better oversight. Walked out because was terrified to eat anything made in that kitchen. Each of the hot food metal bins was very low and drying out, queso was low and had random other food in it as most did. The grill where meats are made was covered, (on the top surface that actually comes in contact with the food) with a black plastic cover. Cooking food in this makeshift plastic is not good for anyones health, it emits bpa, phtalates, microplastics and a slew of other problematic things. Clearly not how this press grill was meant to operate because the plastic is clipped on. See picture. I hope someone high up in management sees this and makes changes. Or the health department shuts it down. People are inevitably going to get sick. read more

I work at Charter Communications right up 95 and frequent this location several times a month. Today, I ordered a chicken burrito to go and when I went to pay, they WOULD NOT take my $12 cash. The cashier only repeatedly said "card", "card", "card only". We were recently the victim of fraud and are awaiting the new credit cards to arrive. The only other card in my wallet is my debit card (visa) which I only use to withdraw cash from the bank this time of year. Since other customers were waiting I finally gave my card but why did this happen? Cash is legal tender in the United States. Not to even mention many businesses are actually charging their customers a fee for using their credit cards. Pay attention to your bill. I cannot recommend this location at this time. read more

I had a bad experience at this Chipotle about 4 years ago and swore never to return. This evening my daughter wanted a burrito and asked for Chipotle; I told her that I'd sworn off of Chipotle after my meal here a few years ago, and she convinced me to give it another try saying she loved it, they're great, she has had a good experience there etc. - that was a mistake. Disengaged and inattentive staff, truly ridiculous portioning (maybe half a cup of protein on our carne asada "specials"), sloppily rolled burritos, and randomly putting things on the bowls and burritos after asking and then not listening to our topping requests. I'm not sure if all Chipotle locations are this bad but I don't plan to find out. read more

I used to order pickup from this Chipotle location, but every time we ordered, the food has been salted to death. Despite the mediocre food, I still see swaths people, usually kids, lined up to order. The only reason I can fathom this is the case is that they're the only "non-McDonald's" option for miles at this hour...but not anymore since Mr. Falafel opened! I usually enjoy Chipotle, but this location was a mess. When I went in, the line wasn't long, but it moved SO slowly because the worker making the bowls was busy chatting with their coworker instead of paying attention to the food. They weren't listening when I gave my order, and they kept messing up the toppings -- I had to repeat myself multiple times. To make it worse, they were sloppy with how they sorted the food. Ingredients were spilling into each other on the line, and it didn't look clean or organized at all. It felt like they just didn't care. I get that things get busy, but there should still be basic attention to hygiene and customer service. Definitely not the standard chipotle. I am positively stunned that Chipotle feels this is even remotely ok. This, my friends, is their version of a quesadilla. For $11.15 (not including tax), this heap of something looks nothing like any quesadilla I've ever seen. It was burned, ripped, molded into some random shape, and even had some torched parchment paper in there for effect I guess. Unbelievable. This is the first (and last!) time I'll ever visit this Chipotle. I only wish I could have captured my own expression when I opened the container and found THIS. On top of being the dirtiest Chipotle in America the service is among the worst I've ever experienced. The staff is annoyed that you came. Annoyed that you're ordering food and generally miserable. On top of this I don't think I've ever been and been able to get everything I wanted. They are out of tortilla chips by 6pm everynight. If you order ahead it may or not be there when you arrive. In my experience they don't actually start making it until I arrive. On multiple occasions I've ordered ahead and they were out of something I ordered. But rather than say anything they just staple the to go bag and let you leave having paid for something you didn't get. If you're out of chips and salsa or guacamole, just tell me before I leave. I don't even need a refund. You can just use those extra dollars paid for the Chipotle food poisoning legal defense fund. But I'd like to know that I'm not getting the chips I was looking forward to. In terms of cleanliness you're better off eating in the public restroom of the Stamford train station while the homeless people shower in the sink. read more

This is your typical Chipotle, nothing too special. Service is a bit slow every time and the employees are a hit or miss when it comes to friendliness/understanding the order. The food itself is good and always consistent in flavor. Sometimes they don't have chips or certain proteins in stock. Overall, this location is a hit or miss. This location is very hit or miss. Some times it can be very crowded too. I ordered a chicken burrito with queso and chips and kids steak taco meal for my daughter. It didn't taste like anything (needed seasoning or something) and the way they packaged my queso the whole thing spilled all throughout the bag and it was cold. Recommendations: do pick up via mobile or Chipotle.com and check your bag before you leave. The main thing that is good about this location is it right off of the i95 exit 5 next door to the McDonalds and there is ample parking in the plaza and other shops and stores around. For instance, I ordered two orders of queso + chips, why would they put queso in my bag but no chips. Another instance, why would you give me a quesadilla when I ordered a bowl? Okay now! This chipotle can do better because I eaten at this location before and it's been really good! Today was a mess. My family's bowls were wimpy with very small portions and burritos poorly wrapped. My vinaigrette dressing was forgotten. We were all disappointed in the quality of the food. They were super busy! I get that. But I've been in that busy Chipotle where there were lines out of the door and the food quality and amount was sufficient.
