    Steak tacos

Arrived apx 11:30 AM to a basically empty, clean restaurant. The man at the register was friendly and welcoming. Placed my order at the vounter (steak tacos) and glass of vino and sat down. Within a few minutes I had my wine. Food took apx 10 minutes which was fine as waiting for my hairdresser across the street as she was running late. The food arrived and was very tasty and not greasy . The bathrooms were well stocked and clean. Go with confidence

We ended up at the Taco Project because they had a Bluey Brunch and it was adorable it was a perfect pit stop after a day off errands. And the Cupid's Cocktail was very nice(with Rum instead of Vodka) would go again to try the tacos and Horchata!

I didn't know this place existed until a friend told me about it. We've since been here 4 times and it's great! I'm surprised by the negative reviews- there's a big sign that says Order Here, and each time we've been we are always greeted warmly by the staff and they've always been very helpful with recommendations on the menu. On this visit they had a nacho special which the guy behind the counter said would be enough for my daughter and I to share. It was plenty of food and it was delicious! Right amount of everything - no empty dry chips at the bottom. Lots of guac too, which I find most places skimp on. My favorite tacos are the shrimp ones. So tasty! But we have tried almost all the tacos and they're great! I haven't had a bowl yet, that will be next time. As for people's comments about the price, it's not a fair critique. Everything is priced high now! I got fast food with my son last week and it was $45 and we didn't get anything extra. I don't think it's fair to hold a business accountable for inflation... the food here is fresh and delicious, service with a smile, the food comes fast, and the seating area is cute, plus there's outdoor seating as well!

My husband had told me about this taco joint that started in NY and expanded to Stamford. We ordered take out and was not impressed. Super disappointing - especially given their prices. Pork Belly Tacos - $10.45 for 2 but a soppy mess per the photo. Overfilled so much that it soaked through the tortillas. Not enjoyable at all. Pork belly was too salty and the pineapple was too sweet but they didn't balance each other out. Taco Project Salsa - $5.95 for a small cup that is barely filled and it's watery and bland. I put in salt and lime myself to make this flavorful. Steak Burrito - $13.95 & the best thing we had but look at the photo. See how that half is probably the length of my thumb? It was maybe a 4-5 inch burrito total. Like maybe the size of an iPhone and a little wider. So small. I recommend go literally anywhere else. At least when Mexicue charges me that much it tastes good and my portions are sizable.

This place unfortunately wasn't as special as i thought it would be. For starters, 2 tacos were 10$ total. No sides come with it, you have to order those separately Sadly the taste wasn't worth the price. Maybe I got a bad scoop but the taco was very oily and tasted quite bland. (On a good note, we ordered the corn tortillas and they accidentally served them on the hard shells which were the best part of the taco) We also did get Guac which in my opinion was the best Guac I've ever had from any kind of restaurant! No tomato's and the onion wasn't overly powerful! Very good! Over all I would give this place another try maybe get a burrito?) if I was in north Stamford, however there are better places downtown that have more food for your buck!

Very artsy fartsy atmosphere which is comfortable & fun!

**ROUND TWO** Second visit. Tried Birria Tacos. Crisp, flavorful. Mexican corn appetizer was tasty, too. Try this place!!!

A vibe ~ cutely decorated taco restaurant with a large food menu and cocktail list to choose from. I got the shrimp burrito bowl with a mango margarita, both were good! Service was nice and food was served fast.

Wrong order but apparently "not their fault"

My first experience was horrible and I sincerely hope someone reaches out to me to further discuss it. I am pregnant with my 1 year old and waited over 20 minutes for my take out order of 1 steak taco. Not only was it a long wait but when I asked for it, the prep server tried to justify it by blaming it on the order in which an order is received rather than the number of tacos. No apologies. She then grabbed a meal and shoved to me to get me from stop talking. No utensils, no napkins, nothing. On the drive back, I discovered that my order number #152 was now #155 and of a chicken taco. So not only was the order wrong, but #155 was made before my order #152, contradictory from what she said. I tried to call but no one picked up. When we returned to complain about this, she told my husband that "it's not their fault". We got our refund but left with no food and no apology or sorry whatsoever. This is one of the worst customer service that I have ever had. She was rude, unremorseful and I felt that she just wanted me dismissed. None of the other workers stepped in or helped. I would love to try your restaurant after hearing good things about it but sadly, I don't want to see her face. I never got to try the food but if I could, I would give 0 stars based on how I was treated as a customer.

Food was just ok wouldn't rush back. We asked for no cilantro and had to send the orders back as it was covered in cilantro.

Notably bland food. From the guacamole to the sauce to the burritos. Needs more flavor, heat, etc.

"Tacos are simple food, but simple food done well is never simple."…read more We visited Masa Taco Bar during Restaurant Week and it turned out to be one of those meals that reminds you why tacos are such a perfect format for flavor. We tried three varieties. The al pastor, the carne asada, and the chicken tinga. Each one brought something different to the table. The al pastor stood out with its balance of savory and subtle sweetness, the kind of flavor that keeps you going back for another bite. The carne asada was tender and well seasoned, letting the beef speak for itself without being buried in toppings. The chicken tinga had a smoky richness with just enough spice to give it character. Together they made for a well rounded tasting of the menu. Service was smooth and relaxed. Even with the Restaurant Week crowd, the staff kept things moving at a comfortable pace and made sure we had what we needed without hovering. The ambiance adds a lot to the experience. The space has a lively, energetic feel that fits a taco bar perfectly. It feels social and welcoming, the kind of place where conversation flows easily over a few plates and drinks. Masa Taco Bar delivers strong flavors, a fun atmosphere, and an easygoing dining experience. Four stars for a place that does tacos with confidence and keeps the experience enjoyable from start to finish.
