My family and I have been fans of Chipotle since they first opened in our area, but it has fallen from grace over the years. This location is no exception. I dined in here with a friend the other day for lunch. It opened at 10:45am; I went in at 10:55, and the restaurant was filthy. There were bits of food on and under every single seat and table, suggesting no one cleaned from the day before. We ordered at 11:00, and there was no guacamole made (supposedly -- I could've sworn I saw some on the online order station). The soda fountain had no syrup or it wasn't properly hooked up; every flavor was just carbonated water. The brewed blacked tea was not fresh and tasted awful and the flavored fruit teas were not yet on. I had already paid for my beverage, so they just gave me a bottle of my choice while they examined the machine. The food was great, at least -- good quality and flavor, proper temperature. Service was fine. The loud kitchen music clashed with the music in the dining room, which was noticeable as soon as you entered. This is the second time I've been to this location. The first time was over a year ago; we placed a large order to go, including chips. When we arrived to pick it up at the requested time (around 6pm), they were making the chips, so we waited half an hour to finally get our food, and half the order was cold by then. I had assumed that was just an "off" night, but after all this time, they clearly still have much room for improvement. Hope they can get it together soon. read more

Terrible! I usually wouldn't choose a chain like this but against my better judgement...decided to give it a shot. I bought a burrito bowl that was SO salty I couldn't eat it! Not just a little salt or kinda salty, but ridiculously "non-edible" salty!!! I tried to determine if it was the meat, the pico, or the queso...and realized that every element in the bowl was WAY over salted. I also ordered chips and pico but the chips were stale and the pico was...you guessed it...Salty!!! I wrote an email to corporate and their response was... "We take every customer comment we receive very seriously. Every single comment is sent to the restaurant management team and field leaders for the area. We also use these comments in audits throughout the year to mark our restaurant teams' progress. I'm sorry that you have had so many disappointing experiences at our restaurants and will certainly reach out to our restaurant team with your most recent comment. Unfortunately, I'm not able to compensate every time an order isn't perfectly satisfying. We are always grateful to hear from customers trying to help us to improve, and I hope that your experiences with us turn around soon." "Perfectly satisfying"...? It was inedible!!! Likely the worst chipotle location in the US. Workers are untrained or just don't care. Half the menu options are typically not prepared/available. Place is a mess at all times of day. I've never left a Yelp review before but I had a terrible experience at this Chipotle location and feel that it's necessary. Of the 3 times I've visited the Chipotle in Newtown Square, the food was consistently inedible (meat was insanely salty and it was clear that recipe ratios were WAY off), the service lacked any type of joy/attention and was borderline uncomfortable, and the restaurant was filthy. Fire the manager, fire the staff (no one wants to be there anyway) and just close this location. One in Exton is MUCH better. We got one salad that was completely right and yummy except they gave us queso instead of shredded cheese, and then the 2nd one was completely different. This wasn't a salad. It was a rice bowl with chicken queso, sour cream, and no salsa's, and no beans. It was two of the same order what the hell do these people think when they do this. Went to this chipotle hoping it would be better experience than WC location. They were out of Al pastor so they went to get it from to go section. He scoops 2 oz of meat after barely throwing any rice down and then I said I guess I'll get double and got steak he doesn't even come close to filling the spoon. I say you know what man I'm all good boss, the staff was offended as I walked out and started talking. The location is online only I guess bc of Covid but the staff doesn't wear masks and were touching their face, hats and butts with gloves on then making food. They also were using the small station to make all orders where only 2 people could get orders out. Nothing I observed for 20 minutes made any sense. I get home my vegan bowl has a piece of steak in it and was literally 3 times more food than my husbands bowl. I frequent different chipotle locations, and this is now one of my favs. The parking lot is very easily accessible. There are also other food options in this shopping strip if you are with a group of people who don't all want the same thing. The workers were very friendly and accommodating. They also gave me a nice amount of food because some other locations they give you small portions of each thing. They also had all of the ingredients available, and I came in the middle of the lunch rush. And normally during lunch they quickly run out of things, so not sure if they plan accordingly or if I got lucky today. There was a small line but it moved quickly and I was in and out within 7 minutes. They also were preparing orders for people who ordered online, and it seemed as if they were all available on time for the people that came to pick them up which is nice. I always order the veggie bowl because it's my fav! Will definitely be back here. read more

Unfortunately, you can't leave a 0 star rating. As I arrived at chipotle I first noticed they had a sign that said online orders only. Why is this? This is a very common sign the newtown square chipotle has hanging outside. Even though there is a staff member casually eating outside outside so no I cannot believe the whole not online order is from being short staffed. The staff has repeatedly shown that they are lazy and just don't want to be there. Bad management? No management at all is my speculation. There is 100% enough staff inside to be open to walk in orders as well. The laziness needs to stop. Despite all of this I decided to place the order online. I waited 20 minutes and then walked in to get my order. As I took my first bite the rice crunched under my teeth because of how undercooked it was. And if that's not enough there was no lime or cilantro to be found in the rice either. If you thought this was bad it gets worse. The steak was not seasoned at all. I was left with a completely bland bowl. As much as I wanted to throw it out I finished it as it was my only source of food at the time. In conclusion I blame this all on the staff being sluggish and straight up lazy. Maybe instead of being on your phones while you work try and make more guac or at least season the rice and steak it's simply not that hard. read more

Lately other locations either overcook or burn the steak or chicken, and I have been avoiding most chipotle restaurants because of that. Not here.
