I dont go to Chipotle often but saw the promotion of bogo so decided to come by so no need to cook. Food was good tasting but the experience with the cashier Madeline. I think that's her name since the receipt listed her as the host. Heavy size with glasses. She definitely did not look like she wanted to be there with her attitude. I bought 2 burrito bowls so should get 2 free but she said I could not do that. When I ask her to clarify why, she just got so frustrated and then she walked away so another gentleman took over and explained that I can't pay for both at the same time and need to ring up as 2 separate orders. I also showed them the new member reward of guacamole which he rang up as well. My husband bought a burrito and should get one free as well so when she rang him up and he showed her the new member reward of free guacamole, she proceeded to charge him 26 dollars for the 2 burritos. We told her that it was supposed to be bogo and then here she goes all crazy again. She said she scanned the barcode for the free guacamole so can't do the promotion of bogo. Hubby told her in that case, I am not paying for the food and once again the gentleman took over for her and rang up the purchase for the promotion. Also was wondering why prices for the beef barbacao is 13.10 on the menu and online but my bill was 13.55 before tax. Can someone clarify why the extra .45?

This was my first time having Chipotle and it was honestly really good. The burrito was huge and surprisingly packed with flavor. My expectations were exceeded, which I'm happy about. It was my first time, but definitely not my last.

While visiting my workplace in the financial district at NYC, I had ordered delivery from Chipotle Mexican Grill, twice, during my stay, on a Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. The online ordering for this location was a breeze. I had ordered a bowl which included white rice, grilled chicken, pico de gallo, cheese, lettuce, and sour cream. Both orders were prepared correctly. The food was cold upon delivery, but I was able to warm up the order. All of the ingredients tasted fresh! It was quite filling too! The chicken had a slight spice to it, but the sour cream and cheese helped with the flavoring. Overall, this is a great location. I didn't visit inside the restaurant so I don't know how busy it can get! I would choose another delivery order for Chipotle Mexican Grill at this location.

Ordered a kids make your own soft shell tacos, service was Lightning fast. Sadly the steak was dry and a bit chewy, black beans were great. They had the watermelon drink in stock, score! Dining area wasn't too messy, great block for people watching. Music is super eclectic and kinda weird- fun! Ample seating and a great block for people watching.

You can review the tapes around this time on this date to confirm who she is.

I work off Lexington, and went on my lunch break to get chips and guac. On Saturdays, I just like a quick snack since it's a short day, and I usually go to the 52nd Street location, but 3rd avenue and 55th Street is just closer. Closer. I walked in, placed my order with a young man who was smiling, and had a great personality. Personality. I stood there for about 5 minutes waiting for my chips and guac being that there was no one else waiting. The young man had put the chips in the bag and was waiting for the woman by the food to make the guac. Another man walks in and she proceeds to make his sandwich. The young man looked at her and asked if she could make the guac and the woman, with an attitude said "HOLD ON". He alluded to the fact that the sandwich should have been secondary being that I was waiting. So she makes a half cup of guac and slams it down to where it falls on the table. He looked shocked, and looked at me. Apologetically. And I said to her mine should have been first being that I was waiting before the man had walked in. Especially being that it takes 2 seconds. She had a disgusting attitude and it seemed a little racism being that the man that came after me was Latino like herself. Very disgusting attitude, don't appreciate it, and if that's how your employees act, you really need to reevaluate. I would have given one star if it weren't for the young man.

The Guac was brilliant! Made the whole dish taste good. Good quantity as well. The lady at the counter was very friendly, despite the lines. Asked her what I should try next time. We agreed on Beef burrito bowl. And it is so close to Grand Central. Will make sense to do a take out here!

We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.

Lunch at Toloache yesterday is Lori's favorite meal so far, and tied for me with Kanyakumari. It's…read morea contemporary upscale Mexican bistro located at 251 West 50th Street in the Theater District of Manhattan. Founded in 2007, and led by chef-owner Julian Medina (who grew up in Mexico City and trained in prominent New York kitchens like Maya and Pampano) along with Chef de Cuisine - Fidel Rodriguez, and Sous Chef - Julian Medina. They have real Mexican food like huitlacoche, and Oaxacan-style seasoned grasshoppers. There is a dedicated guacamole and ceviche bar, and a wood-burning oven. The name toloache is Jimsonweed, a flowering plant in Mexican folklore said to be brewed into a love potion that guarantees anyone who drinks it will always return. For drinks, Lori had the Paloma De Pepino - Gran Centenario plata, cucumber, grapefruit soda, lime, and I had the Margarita de la Calle - Maestro Dobel Diamante, cucumber, jalapeño, lime. Both were excellent, and perfectly balanced. Toloache has one of the best guacamoles we've ever had, and they made it fresh and customized it for us. Cilantro tastes like soap to Lori, and each of the three guacs listed it. Also there is a mild traditional, fruta medium, and rojo spicy. We wanted traditional but spicy, and without cilantro. That's what we got. The accompanying chips were better than most as they were the perfect size, not greasy, and strong enough to not break. With the guacamole came a Roasted Tomato salsa that was spectacular. It has roasted tomatoes, chipotle, onion, cilantro, garlic, and a "secret ingredient". It is medium spicy. I'm going to try to figure out how to make this one. Lori loves Fajitas, which are course Tex-Mex, but they make it with Prime NY Strip Steak, and it is amazing ... and huge. Two could share this for lunch. I had the Enchiladas Borrachas - pulled chicken, tomatillo-5 chiles salsa borracha, Mexican cheeses, crema, and avocado-radish salad. This was a delight with great layers of flavor - smoky, moderately spicy, slightly tangy, with a lot of richness from the cheese and crema. The shredded chicken was tender, savory, and relatively mild, mostly there to carry the sauce. When you eat this, be sure to put a slice of the enchilada on your fork, and then with your knife scoop up sauce and pour it over the bite. It's so flavor-packed. We LOVED Toloache, and highly recommend it.

Visited with a reservation on a weekend evening and the place was packed. All seats upstairs and…read moredownstairs were filled except one table, which was reserved for us. I noticed a few people standing outside the restaurant waiting for a table and were less prioritized due to no reservation. Ordered Platos Fuertes Carne Asada, and Frutas Guacamole. Unfortunately I do not remember what my friends ordered but they did order tacos and noted how bold the flavors are and how delicious they tasted. Guacamole was not too spicy, but perfect. Carne Asada dish was smoky and savory. Overall, recommend!
