I keep telling myself never to go back. But I do, and I'm always disappointed. I cannot remember the last time I received a fully accurate order. After multiple disappointing online orders, I swore I'd never go back, and then they had some chorizo something that sounded good. Ordered it, got home, and it was chicken. Other times they forget a salsa or put the wrong type of beans. Something is always wrong. And on top of that, the food quality seems to have gone down hill. I don't know if its all Chipotles or just this one, but the things that used to taste good, don't. Guacamole is always brown (in person too), chicken is under seasoned. And when picking up they are usually out of stock of napkins or straws, basic things that don't take a lot of effort. Not surpised to see this restaurant with one of the lowest scores in Hershey. Unfortunately one of the worst Chipotles out there. We've had multiple issues with orders both places online and ordered in person. Employees are rude and unhelpful, and the food is poorly prepared and cooked. We last ordered three entrees and when we arrived after pickup time, and the food was still being made, a very rude employee told us they were out of major parts of our order yet there was nothing that could be done. They offered me a free soda as compensation... even Chipotle's support couldn't resolve it since it was "a restaurant issue". read more

Our food was okay, however we were charged extra 5 dollars TWICE for "extra steak". Both of us didn't ask for extra, but apparently they "misheard" (they didn't even scoop extra steak). It's with a heavy heart that I leave a one-star review for this Chipotle but it's well-deserved. This is due to a span of three visits in about a one month period of disappointment that actually has me considering bringing out my inner-Karen and writing a complaint to their customer service department because I really want to see them get better. And, judging from their star average it looks like I'm not alone in my disdain. To sum things up shortly, firstly their customer service is somewhat lackluster. Now, I realize that it's a quick-service restaurant and it's staffed by high school kids who probably don't want to be there. That's fine. But at least pretend to be interested in taking care of the customer? I'm not asking for the extra mile, but feigning interest would be better than faces full of misery that make me feel bad for even being there. That's not my main concern though. If the above problem was going on but not this one, I wouldn't care as much. The real problem is whoever developed their stocking procedures should be fired or retrained. Each time I've been there over the three most recent visits, they've been out of MULTIPLE ingredients. My first visit was during a bit of a night rush so I let it slide (although I doubt it was their first busy night ever since I've been there on many busy nights before) even though they were out of FOUR things I wanted. Why would I want to eat here if half your ingredients are missing? It was around 7:30 so way before closing time. The second time was around 8pm, again well before closing, and they were missing two ingredients I wanted. With no one preparing one to be replaced (the meat wasn't being cooked to replace the missing one I wanted). Third time, same thing except three things were missing. It was 7 o'clock. This may seem long-winded but my hopes is that they'll read this and understand that always running out of ingredients is not okay. If it's happening to me across three visits on three different days of the week, it's happening to others. RESTOCK your stand. I'm paying $10 for a single meal on a grad student budget because I'm too exhausted to cook tonight and you're 1/2 a mile from my house: fix this issue. We went there 1st time for my birthday what a waste of money and time. Our first instincts were to leave all the tables every table was dirty. All the long tables along the wall with windows also dirty. We ordered our food sat down and noticed they had switched the toppings and both orders were wrong we just left rather than make a scene. When we got home I tried some of this famous steak for a limited time it was tough stringy from being under cooked. So we threw $26.72 worth of food in the trash. So for my birthday I had warm ups meat loaf from the night before. Chipotle that was some meal to remember. There was zero sizzle in this place. this is the worst chipotle in Pennsylvania by far. When i walked in there was nobody in line, i walk to the counter and 2 employees look at me and walk to the back and i was left standing there for 10 minutes. Now we all know chipotles serving sizes are terrible but this time in particular was horrible. When i was finally being taken care of the employee barely heated my tortilla and im eating it now and it is hard still, i told him i wanted chicken and he proceeded to put half a spoon full on my burrito (ridiculous for the prices we pay). i also got guac on my burrito but it is completely brown. i get to the pay counter and the girl didn't ask if i wanted a drink or anything, in fact she didn't say anything, she just waited for me to swipe my card. i got no bag just grabbed my burrito and walked out. DO NOT COME HERE! i am a local and will never come back. Everyone in town already knows this chipotle sucks. How are you supposed to please the hershey tourist if you can't please the hershey residents. read more

When this location first opened, we used to get take-out frequently. It was good. The orders were pretty accurate. But over time it's gone downhill. Like really far downhill. Inaccurate orders, delivery that takes forever, cold food, minuscule servings. We swear we won't order again, but then a few months later we forget and start thinking about fast casual Mexican again. Last night was that night. We wanted quesadillas, but they're apparently the unicorn of chipotle menu items because, despite appearing in the app, they never seem to be available anymore. Thank goodness we're not vegetarians because they were out of guac. No chicken either. One mobile order and 15 minute layer I stepped into one of the dirtiest restaurants I'd ever seen. The floor was littered with trash. The tables were littered with trash. Ironically the two spots where trash cans should have been were completely empty, but the counter above each were literally overflowing with trash. It was bad. Thankfully we were getting it to go and miraculously our order was ready and sitting on the pickup shelf when I walked in (there's a first time for everything). Each part of our order was sitting there separately including small containers of queso and salad dressing. I was told they didn't take have any big to-go bags and I had to specifically ask for small bags to put all the little containers in as well as our burrito bowl and salad (for stability and to protect my car from any potential mishaps). Not sure how they expect folks to carry out larger orders especially since the material their bowls are made out of can't seem to handle any moisture and are super flimsy. The food itself was okay. This was probably the first time in a long time that everything we requested actually made it into our meals, but they just weren't overly appetizing and were kind of blah. My salad was swimming in an excessive amount of liquid (some is to get expected but this was way more than normal). Neither of us finished our meals. read more

I was going to stop off at the new Duck Donuts in Hershey, but I decided to get lunch first at Chipotle. I came in during lunchtime and this place was packed, but the line moved very fast. I decided to order a steak burrito with brown rice. It went down the "assembly line" in a little over a minute. After that, the friendly cashier rung me up and I got a seat outside. My burrito was pretty good tasting as the streak was moist and flavorful and the rice added a nice second-dimension of flavor. I especially liked the seating-options at this Chipotle they had tons of outdoor seating and comfortable padded chairs inside. The store itself was actually on the smaller side, but the outdoor seating made up for that. As I somewhat stated before, the staff here is just great! They are funny, polite and helpful! Altogether, this is a nice casual place to get a bite to eat! read more

Genuinely disappointed with this location. I bragged about how great chipotle is to a friend and invited him to eat there, little embarrassed. The eating area was completely disgusting, clearly hadn't been swept or cleaned the entire day. crumbs and old food on all of the dining tables. Portion sizes are SMALL. when I asked for extra beans and rice, they would not actually give me extra. There were no napkins to clean the area, NONE. Had to use a napkin that was left at the table by a previous customer. No silverware either, The silverware holders need to be cleaned. The chips weren't even chips, extremely over-salted and mostly soggy. Didn't bother to complain because they were free with my rewards and I wanted to just leave . This might be the worst Chipotle I've ever been to. It's a mess. The line was out the door and all the employees were as slow as molasses. The serving and sitting areas were all a mess with no one attending to it. The bathroom had no hand soap. One person was taking orders and it was so inefficient. We waited almost 25 mins to order. Ordered delivery on a Saturday afternoon. When I didn't receive the order or hear anything for an hour, I called customer service. I was told my order was canceled by the store and I'd receive a refund in 7-10 business days. I'm not sure why this location thinks it's appropriate to cancel a customer's order without notifying them. Suffice to say, I won't be visiting or ordering from this location again. read more

They are severely understaffed when it comes to takeout orders. Severely. It's all good if you like to eat lunch at 3pm or dinner 9pm, but if you're normal, and want to eat between 11am & 1pm or dinner between 5pm & 7pm, then you better go in... because if you order on the app for pickup, or do delivery through their website or any of the food delivery apps, then just be prepared for a wait. I've also had them mess up my order 3 times. Not a messed up ingredient or something survivable, but an entire meal literally missing. They also love to not cut their quesadillas... Took my boyfriend to chipotle for the first time, staff was not friendly and all and barley spoke a word to us. Instead of them asking things such as "white or brown rice" or "pinto or black beans" they were silent the entire time, even after noticing I had to help him order they still said nothing. To top it all off they did not put chicken in my chicken bowl and when asked for some the first employee I asked just walked away from me. Similar to some of the other reviews, we used to frequent this location quite a bit. Every time I am extremely underwhelmed and disappointed. Not only is the food inconsistent, but the service needs to be addressed. The younger folks that work here have no customer service training. No one on the team even addresses when you are in line, to the point that you feel you are inconveniencing them. The other near location (Hummelstown) is very similar. I would assume Chipotle has a District Manager of sorts, maybe not...But if so, the whole team needs to be evaluated. We were used to dining at the Chipotle on 22 but Hershey is much closer for us. We've been there a few times and service does lack slightly. However you are visiting a tourist town that is packed during the summer months (trust me, I live here). You will nore than likely wait anywhere you go to in Hershey over the summer. I did notice that they tend to fill online orders much quicker than in person orders, but you can only stretch people so thin, I get it. The kids that work there have always been super nice and very accommodating, asking if I wanted things on the side since I asked for "not too much". You don't always get that elsewhere. And their food is affordable, which is awesome. And organic which keeps me coming back for more and more. They haven't been open for very long, and most fast food workers are just kids so give them a break. They are doing great for the volume of people in and out of there. read more

I have stopped in at this location on several occasions and have never been disappointed. Might I add that a number of my visits were close to closing time and I was always greeted with a friendly smile and pleasant customer service. That is just one reason to return but then the food...! The veggie burritos have always been very generously LOADED to the point that they can barely be closed. I mean sometimes, (like tonight) a second wrap is used to close my burrito up so it's more manageable to devour. Come on! One the lettuce looked a bit wilty to me at the end of the night (15 minutes til close) and so I asked if there was lettuce that was more fresh to put on at the end of building my veggie burrito? The response was like "sure, leme check for you!" And the kid returned with bright green lettuce and loaded me up! Great thinking, generosity, customer service and accommodations. I love this place, in Miami, I used to go every week because of their quality of food and prices. I was vegetarian by then, and they have diversity of veggies which made my meals easier to find. I do not go much often because the plates are high in calories, and they do not have white corn anymore. Instead, they changed it for yellow/american/sweet corn -bad choice. Corn is genetically modified in the US, this was a bad choice for the clients and good choice for the business (economic). However, when I want junk mexican food, this is the right place to go.
