I live fairly close to this spot and have heard good things about it so I decided to give it a try for a weeknight dinner with the hubby. Let me just start off by saying the place itself is beautiful, antiqueish like but also gave me Mexican culture to the max. Which I loved. I visited Mexico before so it definitely was nice to see that. Everyone from the host to our server were so nice and friendly. We loved our server, he kept us laughing and was great with his attentiveness to the table. The menu offers a lot! Lol from traditional plates to vegetarian options. I wanted to try something different so I picked the San Jose burrito. A burrito stuffed with chicken, rice, chorizo, beans and topped with a jalapeño cheese sauce.. it was beyond what I expected. It was so flavorful! Loved every bite lol if you come here, I highly recommend. Hubby got the Tacos Del Mar which came with three tacos. 1- shrimp, 1- fried fish & 1-seared fish. His plate came with rice too. Which I think is great for the price and the portion they give you. On my most recent visit to Harrisburg, we stopped at Fiesta Mexico for dinner. Lovely people, very friendly, even on a cold, busy Friday night. Margaritas (both on the rocks and blended) were very good. The blended was smoother than any Ive ever had before. Chips had a strong corn flavor, but the bowl was half full for three people and had enough broken pieces to suggest we'd gotten to the bottom of the bag. The salsa was delicious, with just a hint of heat. Entrees included a Pizza Birria, which was like a quesadilla, but more interesting. The tortilla had a well-cooked look to it, the center layer of braised beef, cheese and onions was thick enough to satisfy even the hungriest. The majority was taken home in leftovers. Another "never before seen" items was the chimichanga -- available soft or fried. What? A chimichanga is a FRIED burrito. If its not fried, its a burrito. Which, soft in this version, looked and was delicious, but I'm still confused. Finally, my Chicken Mole Poblano. So Much Food! And it was yummy! Slightly sweeter than what I'm used to, but trust me when I say I scarfed almost all of it down -- without the tortillas. A great night out, I know more family will visit it this week. My coworkers and I came to fiesta Mexico to watch the World Cup. We decided to try different things and share them together. The quesbirria tacos were my favorite, but all of them were delicious! Also, their guacamole tasted super fresh so I would recommend starting off with chips and guacamole. The restaurant has a fun atmosphere with Mexican theme and fun celebrations if it's somebody's birthday. Our waitress was super sweet. She accidentally put in an order for one taco instead of three but immediately went to fix her mistake. I had the Horchata, which was yummy and all of my friends had house or mango margaritas. They were a good size and they all enjoyed it! If you're craving for Mexican, this is a good place to be. And they have many TVs around if you also want to find a spot to watch the games. read more

Fiesta Mexico is one of our standbys. My daughter has been eating here since she was a little and always request that we go there. You were always greeted quickly with chips and salsa and it doesn't take very long for your food to come. I was there at lunch on a Saturday and we were able to order off the lunch menu. I ordered the shrimp fajitas. It came with a side of rice and a salad, but I was offered rice and beans, but I chose the rice with the salad. My family member ordered a single relleno and was satisfied with her meal. Went with the work team to lunch and felt like I was in EPCOT. The inside vibe is great and way bigger than you would expect from the outside. Our server was super attentive and kept the drink cups full and refreshed our chips and salsa. I had a torta with birria as my entre, which came with french fries and I really enjoyed it. It was a perfect portion size for lunch. My boss had the special platter or something like that and it was a mountain of food, basically served on a dish the size of a turkey platter. We recently stopped by Fiesta Mexico for lunch and was disappointed in the service. The restaurant was not busy (half of the tables were open.) Our server was inattentive and just could not be bothered with. We got a huge eyeroll when she asked if we were ready to order and I said no, not yet. We stopped here often and have plenty of experience with the service staff. Perhaps she was having a bad day? Or perhaps she is not meant for a service job. We did order two drinks from the bar which took 20 minutes to deliver. We were finished with an appetizer and the drinks still hadnt arrived. The server made the excuse that the bar was busy. We were within sight of the bar. There were no patrons sitting on the stools and the bartender was looking at her phone. Unfortunately, one of our drinks was made poorly and had so much lime juice it ruined the drink. We asked our server to fix that and she said we would be charged for another. With so many mexican restaurants in Harrisburg to choose from, we'll think twice before stopping by Fiesta Mexico again. read more

Stopped in a few times with my mom and sister. I'm more of a tex-mex fan but was pleasantly surprised by their selections. They have classic burritos, tacos, nachos, etc for those that might be new or sensitive to Mexican or spicy food. There's also a selection of various dishes depending on your meat or spice preference. I usually go with the open burrito bowl or one of the nacho dishes. My mom and sister usually order enchilada or fajita dishes. The servers are always pleasant and check in to see if you need anything. They give you free chips with a medium salsa to enjoy before your entrée or appetizer arrives. I like to order their guac dip as well to dip the chips in. Décor is festive with Mexican/South American flare and the large windows let in plenty of natural light if you dine during the day. Price wise its on par with Chipotle or other Tex Mex fast food but this is more authentic and flavorful! read more

The star of the show: ordering the fresh guacamole to be made table side. That with chips was full of flavor and could have been dinner for me. I had two enchiladas: one chicken, one spinach. OK. The food was also overpriced. Waitress barely paid attention, usually gone or talking to other staff members, she would disappear for ten minutes at a time. The food is typical Mexican-American fare (the guacamole could have used more spice and the mole was lacking in flavor in my opinion). The restaurant is well-themed and clean. This place is right in front of our hotel we are staying at. Instantly walking in I had a big smile on my face. The decor inside is amazing. It is colorful and has such a culture touch to it. Even the chairs you sit in are unique. The place is definitely great to look at and it makes you want to walk around and check out every corner. The host seemed uninterested and irritated when seating us and giving us our menus, but our server was so nice and extra it made up for that immediately. She went out of her way to fulfill requests coming from my kids even and was very considerate in every way. Now to the food...delicious! We called from the parking lot to ask how long the wait is and they said 15min then when we went inside to put our name on list they told us a 5min wait- pleasant surprise! The chips and salsa are good, in fact, the salsa has a strong kick to them to make you buy beer. But never fill up on these! The horchata is ghostly white and has a weird taste. Almost yogurt like. It was weird and tangy. The tortilla soup is too tangy, almost sour. I could not even eat this. Maybe they put in too much cheese, but I was disappointed. I made the staff take it back after three spoonfuls. The fajitas I ordered were incredibly salty. All the meats and peppers; the rice and beans had a weird taste. Even the guacamole had some funky taste. Everything seemed to be off. It did not help the food is rather expensive. I burped up this meal later on, for quite some time. Then the girl who waited on us had walked by several times cleaning two tables. She said she didn't know we didn't have a server. However, the on the rocks margaritas have really gone downhill. The atmosphere and decor is extremely nice in this place. The seating areas, decoration and all around feel is very authentic. The food is good, but not phenomenal. I had the chicken taco salad, which is my favorite, and it just seemed to be missing something. The other factor is that the shell is not filled very full. Dropped into Fiesta Mexico a couple times while I was in Harrisburg area for work. It was super close to my hotel (and a few others) The first time I dropped in was a week night around dinner time. The place is sneaky big and was totally packed (a great sign for a local place), it didn't take long to find out why. The food is amazing! They serve fresh, warm and crispy chips while you wait with a nice spicy salsa. I ordered the Fajitas Picantes both times I was there with Jalapeños, it comes with chicken and steak. This stuff was GOOD! The peppers, onions. Jalapeños were all cooked perfectly. Tender with a nice crunch to them. The meat was seasoned so well, the whole dish was incredibly flavorful, I literally could not stop eating even though it was so much food I was full midway through the meal! Seriously, probably the best fajitas I've ever had. Only downside. I need like 1-2 more tortillas because there is so much food. It's getting 4 stars because both times the service was pretty slow. Don't get me wrong, it was absolutely worth the wait and I'd be happy to go there again, I'd just expect a little longer wait than normal read more

Similar to other reviews, expect Americanized Mexican food. Decor is tacky and the service is a bit slow. I ordered the Villa Sampler as my entree and the portion size was huge. This could easily be shared between two people. Again, Americanized, so there's nothing really to critique. We have been coming to Fiesta Mexico for years! It's been a source a fun family memories and more recently a tradition with my parents and in laws. Unlike some restaurants, Fiesta Mexico continues to impress us with the consistent quality of the food. We also love how friendly and accommodating the service is. We love how many vegetarian options there are too. We brought along our small service dog in training and sat out side for a nice experience on the patio. I will say that it was our first time sitting on the patio and there was a hiccup with who was suppose to be our waitress and ultimately we ended up waiting nearly 20 minutes before we were greeted. When we were finally greeted, the manager and the waitress continued to ensure we had a great experience. We will continue to be regulars here! read more

We have been coming here for years when visiting Hershey Park. The service is always amazing and extremely attentive. Our food was not good. I thought we might have been on kitchen nightmares. I wish it was at least hot stuff Mexican food masked with cheese, however my tamale was cold inside and chili relleno was not melted in the middle. No chili either just a pile of cheese. Some of the family ordered steak that was not edible. Must of been cooked multiple times and masked with spices. Overly salted on everything. This place is extremely underwhelming. I went to fiesta Mexico on July 23rd between 7:30pm and 8:30pm as soon as I walked in I was greeted very politely by the host Mason. My girl asked for a booth seating and he was quick to say yes, I can seat you at a booth. Which I appreciated, he walked us to our table gave us menus and said a server would be right with us. Not even second later after seating a server by the name of Kimberly came by put chips salsa on the table. We looking at the menu for only a few minutes then Zakaria, the manager, comes asking if a server came to us yet. i said no but they served us the free chips and salsa. He said ok let me take your drink orders. The next second a server by the name of Anayelis came with our drinks. I legit drank my lemonade in two seconds because I was thirsty. When she was taking our order she noticed my cup was empty. She came back with two lemonades for me! It made me laugh cause I drink a lot with my meal so I appreciate it.
