So, is a large guacamole 12 chips? This is wild. The amount of guac I got I couldn't even finish because I only got 6 chips. I've gotten more chips at other Mexican restaurants and paid the same price. I think y'all should note that in the description so customers can decide if they want that or not. The guacamole didn't even taste fresh; it was almost as if it came from a bag. Not a hint of lime, cilantro, or onion. I was very turned off by this. Any time I get tacos, I'll get Al Pastor. These Al Pastor were a bit on the sweeter side. I've never had ones like these, and mine had a bit more fat in them. We did get seated at a table with a bunch of chips on the floor that we said we were okay with, but the tables do kind of feel on top of each other, especially if it's a busy night like First Friday or something going on in town. Was traveling and had to stop at this establishment. The Mexican food looked delicious on the pictures we were sat down. The waiter was respectable and attentive. The establishment was clean. The food was delicious and amazing. If I were to travel around this area again I will be back and I do recommend coming here. Loved the Ambiance it was so quaint and delightful best seat in the house is the window bench. Service was outstanding! And helpful. She instructed us how to use the spice sauces she brought to the table. The meal we had the Guacamole with chips, found it lacking substance. But using the cheat code of the sauces it make it tolerable. The vegetarian comb had a great presentation but a gain did have the distinctiveness we were searching for by it self adding the sauces improved the flavor. I had the carne asada tacos, again the profile continued, great presentation but lacking substance. I love Mexican food, but this is not it. The chalupa was very wet and falling apart. Told our server we weren't happy with the meal. She said we would still be charged. I wanted to love this place so badly. I love Mexican food and I have had some good meals here. Unfortunately it's been a long time. The food is inconsistent. I order a burrito, one day it's good, the next, it's not. I've gotten stems/twigs from avocados & tomatoes in the burrito a couple of times. Sometimes the meat is overdone and difficult to chew. Other times I get big chunks of just fat, no meat. It's unappetizing. There just seems to be a lack of quality control, lack of consistency in general in preparing and putting together the meals. They started charging 1.25 for sauce, which I think is a bit much since it's so integral to the meal itself. But even then, I'd order online, I'd order over the phone, pay for the sauce and they forgot to add it again and again. I'd call and say "hey you guys forgot this and this" they'd ask me if I'd want to come in and get it? No I ordered delivery because I can't get it. There were times I'd go for pick up, ask "is this and this in the bag?" They'd confirm yes, I leave, go home and nope, it's not there. They don't apologize and sound annoyed or incredulous. I was spending money there regularly and being met with aggravation, when I was paying for items they'd forget to bag and send out. I was always polite and essentially apologizing for bothering them. They never said sorry or tried to fix it. And the food lacks flavor and freshness at times. I hope they get back on point because when it's good it great. The vibes in the restaurant are nice, even if the staff isn't always friendly, they're fine- but the inconsistency with the food is untenable as a local and patron. I gave them three stars for location, clean establishment, nice vibes inside, great sauces and chips, once upon a time good food. I haven't ordered food or stopped by in months, I just stopped being a customer. I couldn't do it anymore. I hope it's gotten better. read more

Service was polite and quick and the setting is a short walk off prince street. So we stopped in for dinner last night upon a recommendation from a friend. We started out with the house made guac and it was delicious. For the price of it, it was absolutely worth it! We each ordered two tacos and a tamale. Honestly I thought I'd still be hungry and halfway through the second taco, I hit the wall! We each ordered the El Mexicana taco, one with beef and one with carnitas. It has cactus on it, which I've never had and it had me wanting more. It does say that it comes with potatoes. What surprise it was when the potatoes were French fries. I've never had a taco with fries in and it I'd eat 10 more of them (if only they weren't so filling). I then ordered the maiz con rajas taco, which was just yummy. Rice, cheese, and corn, oh my. The spouse ordered the arroz l, frijoles con queso - she enjoyed it. We also got the veggie tamale and I was so full and made my self push through eating it. These tacos will fill you up and you will want more. They also bring our 3 salsas for you. A mild, a green tomatillo salsa, and a hot salsa. I love hot so I was like "watch this". It doesn't taste hot at first and then it was "oh baby Jesus" hot, but in a good way. If you are looking for Mexican cuisine that is far more authentic than Taco Bell, this is a good choice for you. There are a couple of items that were not exactly to my taste, but I could tell were of good quality and would appeal to other's taste. A prime example of this was the guacamole. It had just the right texture (slightly chunky), but it was a bit too salty and had too much lime juice for my taste. One thing I loved was being able to buy simple flour tortillas at only 50c each. I enjoy slathering them with a bit of butter for a snack at home and theirs was quite tasty. The best thing on the menu was the chimichanga meal. The thing was chock full of fantastic ingredients, especially the kind of cheese they use. The sides were also good. I really enjoyed the pinto beans but the rice, although a great texture, was missing a bit of seasoning. My granddaughter raved about her tamales. Last, but not least were the desserts. I loved my flan. The texture and flavor of the custard was right on point. My granddaughter chose the Tres Leche cake with peaches inside. She really enjoyed hers. She also tried the Mexican Hot Chocolate and declared that it was well made too. The prices are very reasonable, and we have been back to visit 3 times in one week, so you know we like this place. This taco place is a little hard to find, but definitely a good place to stop in if you're looking for some tacos. It's not well labeled on the outside, so use maps to help. The inside is a little small but has ample seating. Decor is genuine Mexican tapestry and art. The selection of tacos is enormous-everything you could imagine. I got a chicken, ground beef, and Americana taco (pick your meat plus cactus, avocado, and "potatoes" which are actually fries). Tacos are served on two flour tortillas that taste so fresh that you know they're homemade. They charge extra by toppings, including pico de gallo, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, etc. I would recommend getting a max of two toppings, otherwise the tacos get a little overstuffed and hard to eat. I got cheese and pico de gallo which I thought was great. They also have a large selection of Mexican sodas which are on a WHOLE new level. The flavor is sweet and not artificial at all. Guava and tangerine are both great options. Service was kind and prompt. Our food tasted great and a full meal only costed about $10. read more

At most restaurants they either charge you for the dish you ordered instead or they completely comp your meal, this place tried to charge us for both dishes. When we said something to the waiter he said "well there was nothing wrong with the burrito, he just didn't like it." My husband literally only ate two bites of the entire thing. They eventually took it off. The actual building is small and its cramped. There's little to no cool air. It's very stuffy. They charge you for chips and Salsa. If you're going to charge for chips, at least put more then 10 chips in the basket. The pico was very fresh but lacking in flavor. The guacamole is really good too.
