Surprisingly amazing! We sat in the front which is more casual but there is a back dining area which seemed nicer. It was so busy, we had only the choice to sit in the front area. Went here one time when visiting my parents at Christmastime in 2021. This is a solid local Mexican restaurant, which is a bit hard to come by in the Lancaster area. I got enchiladas with refried beans & rice. It was delicious. Came out from California to visit my parents in Manheim, pa. They took us to this Mexican restaurant that was amazing. (And we love authentic Mexican and can get it a ton of places in Cali). But this is the real deal. From amazing homemade chips and salsa, a great chorizo queso cheese dip, Mom had a quesadilla. (Those not pictured). And we had the plates attached to this post. Amazing shrimp taco - I can't even tell you what was on it but absolutely flavorful, everything was fresh and on point!! Super kudos to being so nice and friendly as well. O yes 2 cokes and SIDE of rice because they don't give you rice with your meal and order of chips that only had 10 chips in it. They are cheap azzez they packed potatoes in the beef burrito and in the shrimp Quesadilla they put a little cheese ............. I brought my diabetic mother there knowing she's had plain beef tacos before without a blood sugar spike. As she's eating she seeing small white pieces of possibly potato and says the meat taste like corn beef. It was already too late for it to spike. No description of potatoes in ground beef. Who does that? I got the quesaberria and it wasn't good. I will stick with my favorite place in Enola. The only good thing was dessert. read more

Arrived on a packed Friday night. Although busy, the service was quick and attentive. Interior is exactly what you'd think from a Mexican restaurant. Food is always good. I got the combo that included 2 tacos (meat of your choice; I ordered one chicken and one seasoned pork), rice and beans. I added a sope to the mix. My wife got a soup, rice, and a chicken taco. They offered me the specials, which was the champurrado or more like hot chocolate. Although delicious, it was just hot chocolate and not champurrado!! The caldo or soup was delicious though and flavorful. I was definitely enjoying it. Their tortillas seem like they make them there and yeah it's much appreciated!! The guacamole had me a bit sad though. Although the flavor was there, I don't think it was fresh. I would not mind but the price screams fresh!! I don't think I will go back again although I feel like they might have some good things overall but, don't try to cut corners. I don't mind paying for good food!! Stopped in for lunch at this spot in the Coolest Town in America wanting tacos. Fortunately, they have Buy 2 Get 1 taco free deal running on Tuesdays and Thursdays so this was perfect timing for me to come here. The deal is limited to chorizo, pastor (pork with pineapple) or their seasoned pork tacos. Regardless of the deal, I was planning on getting pork anyway. I ordered four tacos, one of each, and ended up paying for three. Takeout is available as well as dining in, which I chose to do. Service was quick and friendly. During this time of year street parking is free, another bonus, as they do not have a parking lot. I saw a sign that advertised an enchilada special on Wednesdays. I just picked up my to go order and - wow! It was mushed together and the bag was dripping because of the sauces. The tamale was so dry and tasted old. IF I ever get takeout from here again I will definitely ask for everything to be packaged individually. I received no napkins or silverware to eat my meal. Moved to Lititz a year ago and I can't believe I'm just trying this place now. I've been missing out! The food was incredible and we tried a lot- a torta, tacos, sopes, huaraches, and tamales. So much food, and all fantastic! Everything was flavorfu and just the right amount of spiciness. Jarritos and horchata were our drinks of choice. The front of the restaurant was a little small but there was a dining area in the back. The front was also full of people waiting for pickup orders, a sign of how good the food was. Tried the Al Pastor Taco and Horchata at the Berk County Taco Festival and both items were delicious! The pork was tender and well seasoned. However, wished the pineapples were added as a topping (to add a fresh sweetness) instead of being cooked with the pork. This place is exceptional. Outside of Mexico, it's the best Mexican food I've had. It's simple, and just done extremely well. Everything was fresh and homemade and if I could bathe comfortably in their fresh green avocado hot sauce I would. We had the enchiladas verdes, pepper and cheese tamale, pineapple pork chimichanga, and sides of rice and beans. It was all delicious, fresh, and made with authentic love. The staff were great and everyone spoke Spanish. The menu is in Spanish first, and then English, which is beautiful and the way it should be. I'm rating just the food. Service, atmosphere, price and all that jazz is all an "A-OKAY" in my book. I ordered carne asada with a horchata. They give you salsa and chips while you're waiting for your meal. The food came in about 10 minutes, pretty quick considering the steak would be on the grill for a moment. The meal came with refried beans, salad, rice and the streak. I first dip my fork into the beans and it tasted like nothing. Really. I expected the texture to be what it was, but there was fundamentally no taste. The rice was okay, but it was sparse. The salad took up a great majority of my plate and I saw no point in trying to consume it. The steak was very thin, no browning to the meat. I pretty much used a fork to cut it. The steak was flavorless, fatty and required salt to make it palatable otherwise I was eating something rather boring and mundane. All the other restaurants close early on Sundays and this was the spot I chose. I'm always weary about restaurants that use "authentic" in their name. Regardless if it was or not, the food here is utterly lackluster. The horchata was on point though! By the way; they don't honor YELP coupons or discounts. read more
