    Taco combo

Very unimpressive, bland and rather poor flavor. Service was quick and efficient. Presentation was ... ok. But the beef was ground very fine and rather mushy. However the shredded chicken was toothsome and chewable if not a little dry. Spouse had a cheese and chicken casidea , she stated it was rather like a grilled cheese sandwich with chicken, so meh. I had a combo plate with tacos and enchiladas, bland, sloppy and tasteless. The taco shells were kinda crispy except the had been sitting in the sauce from the enchiladas so basically fell apart and were a mess. I suppose there might have been some mole' but it would have been an embarrassment if any real Mexican chef tried to serve it. The beer ( Negro modelo) however was excellent. Not a do over.

Several times here now and this place is always amazing. Pretty quick service and the food is always piping hot. another thing I like that people don't mention often is how clean and good smelling the bathrooms are. Air fresheners everywhere and doesn't smell like your typical restroom. I've never eaten here for dinner time but the lunchtime is usually on the slow side. Usually pretty quiet.

Mexican food is something that I could eat every day and most of the time I do so that leaves me always looking for a new place to get some of that delicious goodness. My friend and I decided to come here one night and upon arrival it wasn't that busy but when we walked out that was a totally different story as there was tons of groups waiting to be seated so it's like we totally lucked out with that one. Of their many options I went with the enchiladas supreme and I must say it was nice how they had a few different combinations but they all kinda mixed together when I was cutting them as there was a good amount of lettuce on top so for what it was the whole plate was pretty good as it all had a good flavor to it but nothing to really stand out as it just is what it is and that's some enchiladas with an ok sauce and a few different kinds. Don't get me wrong they were yummy but I'm really picky when it comes to Mexican food as I've had soo many different kinds over the years. Overall it was good but not amazing would I come back yeah if I was in the area maybe but I definitely wouldn't drive out of my way to come here as had our service been a bit better that would have made a lot to us.

Great Food. Nice authentic style décor. This place can get busy on Fridays and Saturdays wait can be up to 40 minutes. Enjoy dining here. my only complain would be the lighting is too bright needs to be on dimmers.

My favorite Mexican restaurant was the old Rey Azteca on Scalp Avenue in Johnstown. It was so unassuming - being I side of what was so obviously a pizza hut - but the food was always amazing and the service quick and very friendly. Today we were out driving around and saw the name Rey Azteca in huge letters in this strip mall and decided to stop in. We weren't disappointed. The food was as good as the now-closed Rey Azteca in Johnstown and the service was every bit as friendly. Happy to have found this location a little closer to home as we are surrounded by el rodeos which aren't as good in our opinion. We look forward to our next visit to the Palmyra Rey Azteca. Thanks for a great meal !!

Decided to stop in for dinner last night and so glad we did! We arrived around 6pm and waited about 10-15 minutes before being seated. They take your phone number and text you your place in line, which is pretty cool. You also get a text when your table is ready, but if you're not there when your names called, they'll go to the next person. They provide chips and salsa to your table. In fact, they give each person at the table their own salsa, which is an awesome gesture. No need to worry about double dipping here. I ordered the Rey Azteca. It came with a fluata, a quesadilla, rice, and a salad. Their salad is a guacamole salad, which was yummy. Their rice was also good. The fluata was also pretty tasty. With this being said, the quesadilla stole the show. I've never loved a quesadilla more in my life. It had such a good flavor to it that I can't even put into words. I could have eaten 5 of them. We skipped dessert, however they have several options. Service was great, it's a beautiful place, even the other customers were friendly. We left stuffed and satisfied. We plan to be back soon. They applied for their liquor license, however don't serve alcohol yet. There were tables that brought their own, so it appears they are byob. I can't wait to try something different next time!!

On a long walk of town on one day of my trip, it worked out that this one was open for lunch and I got to try it. It ended up being a favorite of my visit and I ended up eating here twice. The first time for lunch I stuck to the specials menu and had the chimichanga. It's served with rice and beans, plus fresh veggies and salsas. All salsas and sauces are made homemade and fresh, which is a huge draw of this place. Portion sizes are generous for the price, and flavor was great. Their hot sauces are also homemade: a mild red one and a hot creamy green one. Try both for sure! On the second visit, I had a burrito. I also dined with a friend who was impressed as well. They also have a menu of non-Mexican inspired dishes, so there's something for everyone here. The interior is open and bright, with booths and tables. Both times the server was super friendly and welcoming, very attentive through the visits. Parking is out back.

There are only maybe a dozen tables here so while it was not busy when we arrived, each table was occupied by the time we left. It was very clean and warm. Music was not to loud which is a plus for a smaller dinning room. The complimentary chips and salsa were delicious. Salsa was spot on. We had the nachos for the appetizer, and the smothered. Burrito and birra burrito for our meals. The nachos were delicious, and in my opinion were a stand out against nachos ordered elsewhere. They were just stacked high and condiments dumped on top. The cheese and sauces were layed out and almost all the chips had been covered. They were delicious and very fresh, nothing was globbed on, it was well dispersed. Only down side was the jalapeño on the dish- there were alot of seeds making some areas very very very hot. That might be a plus for others. The smothered burrito was much bigger then expected and well made. Sauces on top and garnice on the side put the flavors together well. The Birra burrito was one of the best I had. Meat was delicious without being a drippy mess, the cheese again was a good portion to complment the meat without over powering the dish. I will say the only down side to this place is it is small, so it was very busy by the time we left. We got out To go box, and then the waitress took nearly 20 minutes to get us the check. Again I understand they are small business and got busy but if you do eat here be understanding that it might take longer due to this.

It was a Monday night so not super busy and we had about 10 people that they were able to seat right away. When we walked in, someone at the bar was getting their birthday celebration lol. The drinks were very good, very large, and strong! I had a jalapeno margarita and then another one with a chambord floater - both delicious! The menu was very large with lots of options but the option I wanted wasn't on there (I really just wanted one enchilada and one chili relleno) - they were not willing to do any substitutions on the combo menu. So I ended up just getting a 2 enchilada platter which was delicious! It was the perfect portion, I cannot do super large portions so this amount was just what I wanted. All of my colleagues also loved their meals, two of them got the fajitas in the pineapple which one of them dubbed "the best Mexican food I've ever had" haha My one colleague trolled another one by telling them it was his birthday so they did the whole birthday celebration for him - sombrero, maracas, singing, and icecream! When the bill came, everything was VERY reasonably priced! We raved so much about this place at the conference that several others went there in the days after that. On entering there were a small number of booths and some tables. It was lunch time and I expected the place to be hopping, but patronage was steady. We were brought the requisite complimentary salsa and chips. Both were acceptable with the salsa having a slight kick. We ordered an unsweet tea and a raspberry tea. They looked to come from a fountain dispenser but I found it nicely brewed and was offered a refill. The menu was extensive with a lengthy list of lunch specials. I asked to substitute a green chicken chili enchilada for a cheese enchilada and was refused. This is the sole reason for taking away a star. I ended up with 2 cheese enchiladas with a sweet green chili sauce. The rice and beans were both very nice. The enchiladas were tasty. The total for both meals and 2 teas with tax was, wait for it... $21! Yes, just $21 so I ended up tipping just over 30%. The tip went into a tip jar I guess they will split. We were attended by 3 servers, all very nice and attentive. If not for the unwillingness to substitute cheese for chicken on the enchilada this little eatery could get 5 stars for everything else they did well. We left very satisfied and very glad we found a little place to patronize for Cinco de Mayo.
