Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review. My family showed up on a Friday night. The hostess gave us 30 minute wait time we were there for an hour and 15 minutes for our wait time. We do have a toddler in a party eight. By two times checking with the hostess after we're watching tables sit empty they finally seated us at one of them. The table only seated six, even though we requested for a table of eight at that point, my toddler was not complying with wanting to be at the restaurant at that point so I chose to go home and have the rest of the family go ahead and eat. I did place a to go order for a meal that had two burritos, one beef one chicken and I said instead of having one beef one chicken I just want two beef and then when my wife brought home the meal it was two chicken. Very unimpressive, bland and rather poor flavor. Service was quick and efficient. Presentation was ... ok. But the beef was ground very fine and rather mushy. However the shredded chicken was toothsome and chewable if not a little dry. Spouse had a cheese and chicken casidea , she stated it was rather like a grilled cheese sandwich with chicken, so meh. I had a combo plate with tacos and enchiladas, bland, sloppy and tasteless. The taco shells were kinda crispy except the had been sitting in the sauce from the enchiladas so basically fell apart and were a mess. I suppose there might have been some mole' but it would have been an embarrassment if any real Mexican chef tried to serve it. The beer ( Negro modelo) however was excellent. Pretty quick service and the food is always piping hot. another thing I like that people don't mention often is how clean and good smelling the bathrooms are. My friend and I decided to come here one night and upon arrival it wasn't that busy but when we walked out that was a totally different story as there was tons of groups waiting to be seated so it's like we totally lucked out with that one. Of their many options I went with the enchiladas supreme and I must say it was nice how they had a few different combinations but they all kinda mixed together when I was cutting them as there was a good amount of lettuce on top so for what it was the whole plate was pretty good as it all had a good flavor to it but nothing to really stand out as it just is what it is and that's some enchiladas with an ok sauce and a few different kinds. Don't get me wrong they were yummy but I'm really picky when it comes to Mexican food as I've had soo many different kinds over the years. Overall it was good but not amazing would I come back yeah if I was in the area maybe but I definitely wouldn't drive out of my way to come here as had our service been a bit better that would have made a lot to us. read more

Food was not up to standard Mexican. We both ordered enchiladas. I ordered a tamale. Enchiladas were a soft toco with hamburger rolled up and dark red sauce. Not baked no cheese in or out. The re fried beans were off white and like soup. The margaritas were fine, but we ask for "Up, no ice" and got one half ice. This place looked wonderful. We found out NO happy hour! My wife just told me as we got home the waiter hit on her and asked for her number in Spanish, right in front of me and our kids, while the piece of crap handed me the check. I don't speak Spanish and my wife is fluent, the clown was going on trying to make jokes about how I don't speak it, while we were at the table. Instead of, you know, just focusing on your job, and not hitting on my wife, especially while my kids are in the damn booth! We go here sometimes when we visit the movie theater, beyond never again, and certainly will be telling any and everyone what happened there. Absolutely crazy! The audacity! And we spend money at that place, willingly. Never again, that is some dirty low level stuff. Wouldn't be surprised at all if they messed with any of our food, to have the audacity to do something like that, I certainly wouldn't put it past them. Never again! My favorite Mexican restaurant was the old Rey Azteca on Scalp Avenue in Johnstown. It was so unassuming - being I side of what was so obviously a pizza hut - but the food was always amazing and the service quick and very friendly. Today we were out driving around and saw the name Rey Azteca in huge letters in this strip mall and decided to stop in. We weren't disappointed. The food was as good as the now-closed Rey Azteca in Johnstown and the service was every bit as friendly. Happy to have found this location a little closer to home as we are surrounded by el rodeos which aren't as good in our opinion. We look forward to our next visit to the Palmyra Rey Azteca. Decided to stop in for dinner last night and so glad we did! We arrived around 6pm and waited about 10-15 minutes before being seated. They take your phone number and text you your place in line, which is pretty cool. You also get a text when your table is ready, but if you're not there when your names called, they'll go to the next person. They provide chips and salsa to your table. In fact, they give each person at the table their own salsa, which is an awesome gesture. No need to worry about double dipping here. I ordered the Rey Azteca. It came with a fluata, a quesadilla, rice, and a salad. Their salad is a guacamole salad, which was yummy. Their rice was also good. The fluata was also pretty tasty. With this being said, the quesadilla stole the show. I've never loved a quesadilla more in my life. It had such a good flavor to it that I can't even put into words. I could have eaten 5 of them. We skipped dessert, however they have several options. Service was great, it's a beautiful place, even the other customers were friendly. We left stuffed and satisfied. We plan to be back soon. They applied for their liquor license, however don't serve alcohol yet. There were tables that brought their own, so it appears they are byob. I just attempted to purchase a gift card/certificate for my nephew who just moved to the area. I live two hours away. According to the message from the manager delivered through whoever answered the phone (because the manager was too busy to talk to me), the only way to order a gift card/certificate is to show up in person. Have they not heard of US Mail? Perhaps an online platform for this? To have no alternative than to drive two hours for this each way is absolutely absurd. Visited Rey Azteca this evening. Started off with the chorizoqueso. The melted cheese appetizer came out with plenty of Chorizo. The flavors were bursting with deliciousness. We both had two crispy beef tacos, a cheese enchilada, and refried beans. The tacos were flavorful, the cheese enchilada were good and the refried beans sprinkled with cheese were a little spicy. This is definitely worth a visit if you like Mexican food! They have beautiful decor and wonderful food. We had to wait about 20 minutes for our table, but the food came out quickly, and our waitress was attentive to our drinks and refills for chips. The refried beans were beyond amazing, as they had extra flavor in them that made them spicy. The beef enchiladas were sweeter than expected, but delicious. The beef tacos were a bit bland, but amazing when we scooped the refried beans on top. My mom got the burrito supreme, and said it was extremely flavorful and makes her want to try every variety of burrito on the menu. read more

The fajitas used to have a small serving of guacamole on top of a lettuce bed..I asked my server if we could get the guac that usually comes with...he bright a boat of it ...and ran off. My son literally ate two bites...which used to be free.... Ok..first..if you stop giving on the plate please let the customer know there going to charge you 6$ for a side of guacamole...think that's important... disappointed even though the food is very good. read more
