But I'm always a little disappointed with the taste overall, which leans toward a 3 star rating. At the end of the day, even though I'm stuck with a 3.5 in my heart, I give Good Burrito a 4 star rating because any homemade burrito is better than a boring burger or sub! I've now ordered the steak, chicken, and pork options for my burrito bowls. All the food is cooked correctly, not overdone or undercooked. The sauce options (such as barbecue, and one with citrus) are an interesting addition to the menu and set this place aside from your run of the mill Chipotle/Moe's. However I wish they had some better savory (non-sweet) sauce options. It seems like you can either get a sweet sauce or a kickin' hot sauce option, but not much in between. Maybe I'm wrong, I haven't tried them all. My main issues with these burritos are the use of iceberg lettuce and the choice of shredded cheese they offer. Iceberg is the lowest rung of lettuce and doesn't have any nutritional value at all. Romaine is used at almost all the other similar style burrito places I've been to, and it would be a welcome change. The crunch, the taste, and the nutrients would be a big improvement. The shredded cheese they use seems to be lacking flavor -- I'm not sure if it's the brand, or the style of cheese. The lettuce and cheese together end up giving me the impression of an overall bland taste from the finished product. It's not a bad burrito, just not everything I think it could be. No other similar restaurants in the area leave me with few options, and I am happy to support Good Burrito. I hope they will make a couple of improvements!

The chorizo taco was good flavor-wise but on the dry side and could have used some kind of sauce to help it along. Adventure Buddy was very happy with the chilaquiles, which came loaded with beef, chicken, and a fried egg. He demolished most of it, leaving zero leftovers and no regrets. The staff were friendly and kind and did their best to stay attentive as the restaurant got busier. All-in, after tip, we spent around $70 for a Friday night date night. That felt a little high for what we ordered, but the extra tacos did give us leftovers, so that helped soften the blow. Bottom line: this is a solid Mexican restaurant. Would I go out of my way to eat here? No. If I was in the area and craving Mexican food, would I come back? Sure.
