This place definitely earns its name: Taco KING. The prices are great! The food was so good and the portions are tremendous! Paired the delicious tacos with a Mexican Coke! Soo good!! It's a small intimate setting and the staff is friendly! I can't believe I didn't give this place a try sooner! I regret not trying a taco but the quesadillas were calling my name! I must go back for more!

The food was so good. We showed up about 7:30 pm for take out on a Tuesday evening. They close at 8. The food was very good. She made everything fresh. Great flavors. Definitely worth trying after a day at Hersheypark! Thank you, the food was great.

Chicken tacos on flour tortilla. Salsas from Left to Right: - Red (pretty spicy) - Green/Tomatillo (milder) - Chipotle (smoky and GOOD)

Was really hoping this place would be good, but unfortunately I don't think I'll return. Here's the major points of the review: ~Taco Tuesday Special = 5 tacos for $10.99~ Ordered: 5 al pastor and 5 chicken on flour, + variety of 3 salsas (While they advertise horchata heavily, when I asked about it, they simply said "no"; unsure if they don't sell it at all or it was just out that day) Taco base (cilantro, onions, flour tortilla, limes on side): 1/5 - really dry tortillas, some cold, no flavor and could use fresher onions/cilantro. Limes were dry and not ripe enough at the same time; very little juice with little flavor. Al Pastor: 3/5 - Great spice on meat, but meat was SO dry, no extra kick with sauce either, really could have used it. Chicken: 1/5 - Really bad, the chicken was dry and entirely unseasoned. All the flavor was from drenching it in salsa and the veggies. DO NOT GET! Salsas: 4/5 - Chipotle salsa was great, I'd buy a bottle of it. Spice was at like a 6/10 but smoky. I'd characterize it as much more akin to the chipotle pepper than artificial taste. - Green (tomatillo) was also pretty good, it had a bigger kick than I expected at like 4/10 - Red (unsure) really spicy and tangy, wasn't a fan but I can definitely see how someone really looking for spice would love this.

Visited here on a Tuesday evening. It's a small place with about 8 tables or so. There's a little area where they sell Goya products as well as my favorite "green" hot sauce :) No one was eating in when I was there but there was a steady flow of take-out orders. I didn't see anyone take out the pizza. I tried three tacos: Carnitas, Al Pastor (pork w/pineapple) and steak & chorizo. My favorite, and the most flavorful was the carnitas. YUM!! Tacos are served topped with onion and cilantro. They give you two corn tortillas per meat so it was like eating six tacos instead of three. These were very good, authentic tacos. I haven't had tacos like these since I was in NYC!

Best taco place that I have found within an hour of Harrisburg. And the pizza and stromboli are pretty good too! Recommend: salmon tacos, BBQ pizza, stromboli. What to expect: pretty much a hole- in- the- wall taco joint. Might be cold in the winter and warm in the summer. Prices are reasonable. Service is fast. Owner is friendly and you can tell he likes his job and takes pride in his food.

I have been here a number of times and I'm upping my review for the quality of the tacos. They're prettt yummy and fresh. Phew. The ground beef are more expensive and I don't really get why. They're just okay to me an actually pretty salty. But the steak ones are spot on. Pay the .25 for cheese cause it's good stuff. The only thing to me that knocks this down from a 5 are the lack of fountain soda (just a thing to me) aaannnd the guy working had his gloves on (plus!) to prepare food but then he took my money with those greasy gloves and then continued to make food with them. Take them off and take the money then put new ones on. Other than that a good place for an authentic taco fix

Pulled pork fries, non alcoholic sangria, chicken burrito, 5 tacos with all premium topping.

The restaurant itself had a few tables, a frozen ice cream box, video chance games, a huge rack of phone cards and several pictures decorating the walls. Most of the pictures depicted scenes from mexico, such as poncho villa, zapata, rural life, cows, etc... one of the walls was covered in mirrors and had a sombrero hanging on it. They have standard tacos at 2.50 apiece, chicken, beef or pork. We tried several of them. There was also a Torta for 8.50 that was pretty decent. There was some type of hot sauce (Valentina brand) here that that we put on it made it significantly better. The helado de fresa or strawberry ice cream ($1.50) balanced it out. We also had the Bistek Ranchero: it came with 6 yellow corn tortillas, onions, cilantro, beans, rice & lots of beef, mixed with red pepper. That cost 14.00 pretty decent if you ask me. What makes this place stand out in my opinion is the " tostada ceviche de camaron " or lime marinaded seafood salad on a deep fried corn tortilla. This item is occasionally also available at competitors but not nearly as good. 5 Stars, incredible food!

Margaritas (both on the rocks and blended) were very good. The blended was smoother than any Ive ever had before. Chips had a strong corn flavor, but the bowl was half full for three people and had enough broken pieces to suggest we'd gotten to the bottom of the bag. The salsa was delicious, with just a hint of heat. Entrees included a Pizza Birria, which was like a quesadilla, but more interesting. The tortilla had a well-cooked look to it, the center layer of braised beef, cheese and onions was thick enough to satisfy even the hungriest. The majority was taken home in leftovers. Another "never before seen" items was the chimichanga -- available soft or fried. What? A chimichanga is a FRIED burrito. If its not fried, its a burrito. Which, soft in this version, looked and was delicious, but I'm still confused. Finally, my Chicken Mole Poblano. So Much Food! And it was yummy! Slightly sweeter than what I'm used to, but trust me when I say I scarfed almost all of it down -- without the tortillas. A great night out, I know more family will visit it this week. I think I'd like to go back.

Inside, the vibe is warm and festive: colorful artwork, low-top tables, a lively bar stocked with tequilas, and gorgeous Moravian star lights glowing overhead. The menu is extensive -- everything from tacos and burritos to rice bowls, full entrées, and massive multi-person feasts served in lava rock molcajetes. Most dishes land around $20, or you can snag tacos individually for $5.50. We started with the Mexican Seafood Dip and wow... game changer. Shrimp, bay scallops, crab, and mushrooms all swimming in a red tomatillo sauce, baked under a gooey blanket of cheese, and served with chips. Unlike so many "seafood" dips that are 90% cheese, El Sol delivers with generous amounts of actual seafood. It was piping hot, hearty, and plentiful -- enough that we happily took leftovers home. For mains, I went with a Birria Taco (plus a trusty Diet Coke). Juicy, cheesy, crispy perfection -- I could've polished off three more but restrained myself. Adventure Buddy chose Camarones A La Diabla -- jumbo Gulf shrimp and mushrooms in a three-chile sauce. Bright red, spicy but not overpowering, and loaded with shrimp that were actually jumbo. He was a happy camper. Our total came to $62 with tip, which felt fair for the quality and portions. Service was attentive and friendly, and the noise level low enough for both conversation and even a quick phone call. Parking is the usual downtown Harrisburg scene -- no on-site lot, but free street parking after 5 and garages nearby make it easy enough. Bottom line: great food, colorful atmosphere, and a menu that's begging us to come back. Next time, I'm eyeing one of those lava rock molcajetes.

I hate the double doors which you have to pull open on your way in but fortunately they do provide hand sanitizer at the register. Both staff behind the counter wore masks which I appreciate. The menu items are very affordable, just about everything is under $10. We ordered Chicken and Steak Fajitas to go. They were ready in about 10 minutes. The fajitas were just OK. They weren't very tasty and the meat was on the dry side, but the salsa saved the day. I wish I had double amount of salsa because it was so good. Overall an OK first outing.
