Jose, Chance, and Junior were amazing! They carefully backed down our long, curvy driveway without knocking into any trees on the way. Trust me when I say that many others who come (FedEx, Amazon, UPS, etc) have not been as successful and they have smaller vehicles! Then the team had a simple system that allowed them to unpack quickly and carefully. They had such a great work ethic and I enjoyed watching their camaraderie as well. They communicated clearly with each other, and with me, the entire time. They listened carefully to where I wanted items placed and were careful not to bump into walls as they worked. My husband works from home and my son is working on a summer school course, so both were busily at work on their computers. My husband was impressed that the team knocked before entering his office EVERY TIME they had to deliver to that room. They were respectful, friendly, professional, and wonderful to work with. At the end of the time, I noticed that 2 numbers had not been crossed off the grid. Since I was the one marking off the numbers as they were called out, I was confident that I must have simply missed hearing those. I was ready to just say that it was fine. I was truly not worried about it. But Jose insisted that we go look together so that I wouldn't have any worry. We quickly found the 2 boxes, completing the grid in its entirety. I was just so impressed with each member of the team. I would absolutely hire them again and I will happily refer friends in need of moving services to your organization. We did an interstate move from the Seattle suburbs to downtown Chicago. I got three on-site estimates; Warren Blake came out for Chipman and was by far the most thorough, transparent and conscientious -- he was the only one who suggested we get custom crates built for a couple of fragile antiques and baked that cost into his up-front quote which was honored throughout the process. Our packing and moving teams showed up on time and were personable, professional, and fast-working -- everything got done in less than the allotted time, and on the other end, we found virtually everything made the trip intact -- we filed for only a couple of cracked glass-framed wall hangings. Chipman agreed immediately to our small claim, so, no fighting over trivia. Although we were obviously dealing with another company in the Chicago area (we stored our stuff in a suburban warehouse for some weeks before move-in), the Chipman account manager / concierge, Cimber Dahlstrom, dealt with all the details and was a pleasure to deal with. I just finished my relocation packing service with Chipman and this was by far the most positive moving experience that I have ever had (and I've moved many times with military and corporate sponsored moves). Our company only had to move approximately 3.5 miles down the road to a new building however with 80 office staff (with furniture, refrigerators, etc) that's no little feat to say the least. Recently moved with this company from Snoqualmie to Nashville. Excellent customer service, excellent handling of our goods. Brian slightly overestimated cost, so we got back nearly $1,000 after adjustments. Definitely a good idea to go door-to-door if you can and avoid both temporary storage (which means handling your stuff an extra two times) and temp storage fees - which is what we did. Driver showed up on time both locations and was courteous and professional. Jan did an exemplary job in coordinating the move. Don't plan on moving again anytime soon, but if I did, and this company was available to handle the move, I'd select them again without hesitation. Chipman and United did a great job moving us in two different directions. The two separate crews we had to load our belongings were fantastic. In particular for the big load Jame, Alfred and their team were outstanding and very accommodating. Our things arrived a day earlier than scheduled and everything arrived in excellent condition. Edgar and Ricky also did an excellent job loading our smaller load heading in a different direction that was done on a separate day. I am deaf. I requested an estimator for a quote. I explained that I couldn't do a virtual as I cannot hear him. At the last minute he started calling a silent phone in my house as if I would hear it. It was there he left the message that he wasn't going to be bothered to drive to my house since I didn't use a phone. I think I know why black people are so angry.
